Oh, and speaking of the Cordoba mosque project...
Earlier today Insty linked to a piece by a lady named Shikha Dalmia on the project; I'd recommend it as a fine piece of excuse-making crap for the project and the people running it. Including this:
None of this is preventing some opponents from bizarrely suggesting that the center represents a surreptitious attempt to glorify Islamic victory on American soil. But a victory statement communicated through esoteric means negates itself because such means signal weakness, not strength. What's more, it is one odd victory statement when its alleged authors are not claiming any moral high ground for their putative side. To the contrary, the couple, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan, who are spearheading the center, have "refudiated" the 9/11 attacks in particular and Islamic terrorism in general.
A: When you see people in favor of the project saying things like
Joan Brown Campbell, director of the Department of Religion at the Chautauqua Institution in upstate New York and former general secretary of the National Council of Churches, admitted that a mosque at Ground Zero could anger infidels. But it was worth it, she said: “Building so close is owning the tragedy.”
it doesn't come across as 'negating the signal of victory'; it comes across as "We will win, and building here is a sign of it."
B: When the imam in charge 1: won't say if Hamas is a terrorist organization, 2: basically says the US caused the 9/11 attacks by our evil actions around the world and so forth that doesn't exactly count as repudiating islamic terrorism.
C: Madam, speaking down to us as a bunch of unsophisticated, uneducated hillbillies who just don't understand anything isn't going to change anyone's mind.
D:It is possible that the center is really an elaborate ruse for some sinister anti-American agenda--just as it is possible that America's next president could be a Manchurian candidate installed by the Chinese. But to suspect such an agenda in the face of massive evidence to the contrary testifies to just how deep-seated the suspicion against Muslims is in this country.
Well, considering the number of terrorist attacks committed against the US by muslims, including the 9/11 attacks, including the murders of troops at Fort Hood, including a whole bunch of terror attacks around the world by muslims(that so many 'moderate' muslims make excuses for), you might consider the slight possibility that we've got some damned good reasons to have suspicions toward a lot of muslims. So take your attitude and shove it, lady.
Then came Ruhollah Khomeini,
To see what Shi’ite technocrats have done to Iran is tragic. I do not speak only of the violent clown Mahmoud Ahmadenijad, who can look an Ivy-League audience in the eye and say there are no homosexuals in Iran. Rather, I speak of a country so riddled with hate that it thinks nothing of producing cartoons, available on a website promoted by the semi-official Fars news agency, denying the Holocaust and portraying Jews as hook-nosed vermin. Have the Iranians been taught to hate Jews so much that they can caricaturize the gassing of one million children? When I visited Poland I walked into a clearing near Tarnow where 800 Jewish orphans had been murdered, mostly by having their brains dashed against trees. The Iranians would make fun of this as well? What level of humanity must be compromised before one feels that wholesale slaughter is a matter of comic relief? I forced myself to watch all of The Stoning of Soriah M by Iranian director Cyrus Nowrasteh. Based on a true story, it’s final scene – depicting an innocent woman buried up to her neck and having her skull slowly crushed by average men including her own father, husband and son throwing stones large enough to injure but not to immediately kill – is easily one of the most brutal events ever depicted on film.
If only it were an exaggeration.
The world is currently focused on the case of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, a 43-year-old woman awaiting death by stoning in the Iranian town of Tabriz after a sham conviction for adultery.
I'd argue with some of his points, but overall a good article.
In the latest from the people running where Great Britain used to be,
He is the first EU ambassador to be appointed after the controversial Lisbon Treaty gave the EU sweeping new powers.
Remember? The one that got rammed through whether people wanted it or not? "We will keep voting until we get the result we wish"?
The Earl of Dartmouth, a UK Independence Party MEP, said the ambassador's comments where proof that the EU diplomatic service is usurping the powers of nation states.
He said: "All the other parties have supported or accept the domination of the EU through the Lisbon Treaty. And this is the result. The British Government will be left discussing how British actors are portrayed in Hollywood at best." He added: "Of course Britain will continue to pay for the privilege.
This is only the start, as the existence of Britain's permanent seat on the UN Security Council is already in the EU sights".
No doubt.

Having the male offspring back over here brings to mind Calumet Park, Illinois Mayor Joseph DuPar
Think about that. A guy had the temerity to actually call this sorry politician on his lie, so the politician and his equally slimy lawyer sue.
In a filing in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Ill., DuPar claims that his suit rests on Wilson’s duty “to refrain from intentionally and with actual malice publishing and distributing statements with knowledge that they were false and/or with reckless disregard of whether they were false or not.” As evidence of Mr. Wilson’s nefariousness, DuPar cites to a flyer that Wilson’s campaign published and distributed that read in part:
“Did MAYOR JOSEPH DuPar Really earn a Medal of Honor and Four Bronze Stars???? He has misled us in so many other areas, maybe he is misleading us again. His medals cannot be found on the Internet and the Department of Defense’s National Personnel Records Office is still looking for those medals.”
Included in the filing was a copy of DuPar’s DD214, which he seems to think proves his case regarding the “Bronze Stars;” he is silent regarding his claims of having earned the Medal of Honor. In the filing, DuPar claims that “Defendant’s statements are false as plaintiff did in fact earn four Bronze Star Medals.”
However, DuPar’s DD214 shows he did not earn any Bronze Star Medals, but rather “Vietnam Service Medal w/4 Bronze Service Stars.” A Bronze Star Medal is the “fourth-highest award for bravery, heroism or meritorious service,” awarded to those “engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States.” Those awarded for valorous acts also include a “V” insignia so designating them from ones awarded for merit or meritorious service. However, Bronze Service Stars are an attachment to another medal, denoting participation in certain campaigns or multiple receipt of the same medal. While the Bronze Star Medal is an individual decoration, Bronze Service Stars affixed to a medal are not.
I repeatedly contacted DuPar’s Attorney of Record, Felicia Frazier, who refused to discuss the issue with me at that time, although she promised to call me back. Needless to say, her number has never flashed on my caller ID.
DuPar, you served. From all indications honorably and well. And yet now you lie in such a way? What the hell is wrong with you?
Yes, I've posted on this before; it needs to be remembered.
While back I mentioned DOJ playing games with troops voting procedures;
Let the public judge how aggressively the DOJ is willing to protect military voters in their recommendations to the FVAP.
We have reason to worry. Unbelievably, the DOJ earlier this year proffered the outlandish argument that once a waiver was granted for 2010, it would continue to apply for future elections, including the 2012 Presidential election. This incorrect and equivocal reading of MOVE was conveyed to multiple people, including state election officials. It demonstrates a timid mindset dangerous to military voting rights.
The DOJ would never adopt such an equivocal approach to protecting the voting rights of a racial minority.
No wonder Senator John Cornyn made it clear to DOJ officials this won’t be tolerated anymore. After the Senator’s scolding, the DOJ jettisoned the permanent waiver argument.
But Senator Cornyn is still on guard. He has put a hold on the Senate nomination for the number two man at the DOJ, James Cole. Cornyn placed the hold on the Deputy Attorney General nominee after learning from meeting minutes that a Voting Section official made remarks to state election officials encouraging waivers, and telegraphing an aversion to suing states for violating MOVE.
The Washington Times interviewed state election officials who were present for the speech — they reported that the remarks by the Voting Section official were even worse than reported in the meeting minutes.
And the contact information:
In the meantime, the public, particularly military families and veterans groups, have a right to petition their government and voice their opinion about the waivers. Citizens can reach FVAP and tell them to deny all waiver requests at 800-438-8683 or vote@fvap.gov. Citizens can petition the DOJ and tell them both to recommend against granting the waivers and to sue states who submitted them at (202) 307-2767 or rebecca.j.wertz@usdoj.gov.
I suspect Holder & Co. have had so much heat the past while they're more likely to pay attention, so pass it around and put the heat on.

It's really amazing to see how progressives and socialists tie themselves
Yeah, no difference at all between people dying in accidents and people dead in a mass-murder terror attack. None at all.
If you're a miserable little piece of crap like Kos & Co.
A response to Sen. Harry Reid's(Corrupt Democrat-NV) latest
Although I wasn’t born in Cuba, I witnessed for myself liberals governing the state of New Jersey. I saw the failed policies of former Governors Jim McGreevy and Jon Corzine. Unions ran the show, uncontrolled and limitless spending, massive corruption, and the highest property taxes in the nation. I, as a thinking, tax-paying citizen, can not fathom why I would support democrats that have ran this state to near bankruptcy. Heck, I see it in a larger scale in Washington, DC. Yes Harry Reid, I do think and watch the news.
Also Reid, in case you didn’t know, Latinos have a mind of their own. As much as I think you’re a bigoted, lazy thinker, you might have admitted what all democrats think of Hispanics who are on the right side of the aisle. You belittle us, think we need the nanny state to help us with our woes. Hispanics are actually a religious, pro-life, pro-business, and hard-working poeple. You know the stuff Americans are made of. I know many Latinos who work more than 12 hours a day, seven days a week, to earn their keep and give their children the life they couldn’t have in their native countries.
Go read it all, it's great
Take a look at this place
Yeah, that's it Nanny, just keep blaming other places
This is one seriously messed-up situation, and that's what he comes up with?
Speaking of how much a lot of Democrats fear Palin:
In a Facebook post, Halloran, who describes himself as “an active local citizen and supporter of NH Governor John Lynch,” said of the plane crash, “Just wish Sarah and Levy were on board.”
...
Natch Greyes, a staffer for Democratic Rep. and Senate hopeful Paul Hodes tweeted the following on July 21st: “I have to wonder if & or when @sarahpalinusa will learn the meaning of our state motto: “live free or die.”
Hey, Greyes, she understands that motto far better than you, you miserable little shit. And I'd bet that you're one of the corrupt people who wish they could make the charges against Corrupt Rangel and Friend of Angelo Dodd go away, that'd be fine, but Sarah Palin? You want her dead.
Sorry little bastards.
'What kind of President is this?'
...
I guess it’s a president who believes he is a prince, not an executive, a president who thinks he is supposed to rule, rather than lead, and a president who dares not accept a letter from a Governor because then he won’t be able to say he never read it or hasn’t seen it.
And once again, one senses that Obama only wants to be the president of some of the nation, not all of it.
"Yes, I saw the envelope, but I never actually saw the letter!"

I know, I'm eating, but this crap HAS to be spread around
The tax-payer funded National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has become mired in fresh global warming data scandal involving numbers for the Great Lakes region that substantially ramp up averages.
A beleaguered federal agency appears to be implicated in the most blatant and extreme case of climate data fraud yet seen. Official records have been confirmed as evidence that a handful of temperature records for the Great Lakes region have been hiked up by literally hundreds of degrees to substantially inflate the average temperature range for the northeastern United States.
The web pages at the center of this latest climate storm were created by NOAA in partnership with Michigan State University.
Go read. And be sure to look through the comments. I'd also recommend going over to Watts Up and reading this:
Note to Readers: This is an important post, as Willis demonstrates that NASA GISS has taken a cooling trend and converted it into a warming trend for the one GHCN station in Nepal which covers the Himalayas. I offer NASA GISS, either via Jim Hansen or Gavin Schmidt, rebuttal opportunity to this issue on WUWT anytime. -Anthony
Having a short time before I have to drag into the kitchen
The striped-pants dirtbags at the State Department need to be added- if they weren't already there- to the list of 'bureaucrats that should be whipped alongside the politicians'.
State Department officials on Monday confirmed Feisal Abdul Rauf, the Imam of the so-called Ground Zero Mosque, will soon be going on a trip of the Middle East and the U.S. government will be picking up the tab.
Hey, Nanny Bloomberg, you might understand most of the people in NYEffin'C really don't like you talking down to them like you're lecturing a 2-year old. Matter of fact, I think a lot of them are getting damned sick of you.
I shall have to make sure I don't buy anything from General Electric if I can avoid it; screw 'em.
FOX Business Channel’s Charles Gasparino told Bill O’Reilly tonight that GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt gathered the CNBC reporters together in early 2009 and scolded them for reporting negatively on Barack Obama. GE owns 80% of NBC Universal.
We already knew that Jeffrey Immelt was pushing non-existent global warming so that his company could benefit from cap and trade legislation. Now we know that GE’s CEO was sitting at meetings in the White House and scolding his reporters for being hard on Obama.
In other media malpractice,
WJLA-TV, a Washington, D.C. ABC affiliate, suspended reporter Doug McKelway following his alleged “partisan” comments at a liberal rally on Capitol Hill marking the three-month anniversary of the Gulf oil spill. Video of the broadcast tells a different story:
Video at the link.
Political idiocy leading toward national suicide:
Earlier this summer, a group of congressional Democrats sent a letter to Secretary of State Hilary Clinton urging her to begin the process of categorizing the Taliban as a terrorist group. In June, Sens. Charles Schumer and Kristen Gillibrand of New York and Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez of New Jersey proposed legislation that would immediately add the Taliban to the terrorist list.
Yet the State Department’s report (due on April 30 but released last week), did not include the Taliban with groups such as al-Qaida, Hamas and the Real Irish Republican Army (RIRA). To qualify, an organization must meet only three criteria: It must be foreign, it must engage in terrorist activity and its activity must threaten the security of the U.S. or its citizens.
“It is hard to imagine this agency can see fit to issue a report that doesn’t include the Taliban groups,” Fred Gedrich, a foreign policy analyst and former State Department employee, told The Daily Caller. “They have killed more Americans and conducted more terror attacks on innocent civilians during the past 12 months than any other terror group.“
Yeah, it's hard to believe; except it's just the kind of stupidity we've come to expect from many Democrats in general and the Obama Administration in particular.
Just as Michelle Obama returned from her much-criticized luxury vacation to Spain, which cost the U.S. taxpayers an estimated $400,000, her husband cut $11.9 billion from the Food Stamp program, designed to help the poorest Americans.
The cut, along with tax increases to businesses is supposed to pay for an aid package to several states, mostly to prevent the layoff of about 160,000 public school teachers and administrators.
Of course, the teachers’ unions are tremendous contributors to the Democratic Party, and were instrumental in putting Obama in office. The move is seen by many as a payback for their support.
You think maybe?
I have to note that when I went through the TSA checkpoint at El Paso, it was about as painless as that crap can be made. They made EVERYBODY take off their shoes, and belts, and anything else they could think of, but I didn't see anybody abusing their position in the few minutes I was there. I do have to say, for someone used to carrying a sidearm and pocketknife damn near everywhere, having to make sure you don't have a dangerous pair of fingernail clippers forgotten in your bag or shaving kit or whatever is a pain in the ass. And somewhat demeaning; I'm sick to death of having it demonstrated that our 'betters' don't trust us with arms or tools.
And on that cheery note, I need food.
Having had some sleep, I'm a bit better off
From the trip, someday I'd like to go back to the Guadalupe Mountains and hike around. Flat beautiful area, which in this part of the world often translates as "Will still kill you if you don't watch it." As you head into each pass there's a sign 'Caution: high winds' with a windsock nearby. And lots of 'Falling Rock' signs, seeing as how the shoulder often ends in a near-vertical wall. I went through in hot, clear weather with light winds; no matter the season and no matter what kind, I would HATE to have to drive through the area in a storm. But I'd love to have time to load up and walk around, maybe do some climbing*.
And it's an area I'd damn well carry a sidearm whether the Park Service liked it or not.
And in El Paso found a little restaurant called El Chaparral on Montana a few blocks from the motel. Damn good food, they make their red and green picante sauce(and chips, and tortillas), and they know the difference between 'spicy and good flavor' and 'hot enough to burn your tongue off so you can't taste the stuff'.
*No, I do not mean like a bloody spider up a vertical wall
No news rundown for you this morning
I'll say this, there were a couple of nice things about the trip and I'll go over them later.

A short catchup on the last few @)**! days
Son advised what date the unit was starting back to the US, asked me if I'd like to come.(hell YES)
A week later, after reservations made, informed me that the date had changed, so had to redo reservations*.
Turns out that the date had been changed at least a week ago, but the troops hadn't been advised; isn't that wonderful?
Get set up, find out day before was heading out that would be a day later.(Yes, you DO see a theme here)
At halfway point, found out arrival moved ANOTHER day(airplane trouble).
At destination, ANOTHER day.
And then, after having gotten to "late Monday night", on Monday I was informed that they now were in Germany with more plane trouble(whatever airline had been contracted with should be dealt with. I'd settle for mass defenestration). and it would be Wednesday before they got back.
So it went from having a couple of days together to a day to part of a day to a few hours to effing nothing. Same for every other family member of other troops who made the trip. The airline I've already mentioned; the command level of the unit apparently couldn't organize an outbreak of venereal disease in a whorehouse. And, just to back that up, there was a very nice lady on post who was trying to keep families informed of dates and so forth; the morons in charge weren't getting her the information. Twice son had a chance to call and advise me of the changes, I contacted her and she hadn't heard a word; both times it was the next day before she was given the word. Not effing good, is it?
So. I'm back, I'm tired, achy and pissed and have a headache from the flight home, and spent a bunch of money I couldn't really afford to almost no end.
Oh, and Bank of Oklahoma sucks even worse than I'd previously mentioned. They had promised they'd overnight the stuff to me so I could take it with me; not only did it not arrive overnight, it's now FIVE FREAKIN' DAYS LATER and they never arrived.
I can say, however, my hand/arm's better, thanks for asking.
*first time I've flown; do you know what airlines charge for having the temerity to cancel a reservation two weeks before the date?(No last minute stuff, this) By the time the 'cancellation charge' and so forth was added up...

As the only thing you'll hear from me for at least today,
A MONSTER 6.5m crocodile had to be killed by locals in a remote Northern Territory Aborigine community because it was killing their cattle.
Jeida Francis, 23, said the croc was caught in Manangoora, an outstation 56km east of Borroloola.
"It was massive. There were three huge ones out there. One of them is still out there at the moment.
That's 21.3 feet of saltwater crocodile. Jeez.

I started this blog to talk about forging and metalworking,
One irony of the tax increase that arrives on January 1 is that the it will hit residents of high-income, Democratic-leaning states like California, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York the hardest. This is a problem for pro-tax Democrats.
Enter New York Representative Jerrold Nadler, who wants to exempt his own six-figure constituents from the tax hike he supports. Mr. Nadler's bill would "require the IRS to adjust tax brackets proportionally in regions where the average cost of living is higher than the national average."
In other words, the various tax brackets would apply to residents in certain regions at higher income levels versus other parts of the country. A family with an income of $50,000 or even $1 million in Manhattan would pay less federal income tax than a family with the same earnings in Omaha. The bill is called the Tax Equity Act, but a more accurate title would be the Blue State Tax Preference Act.
Just for proposing this the bastard should be tarred and feathered.
And I'd like to add a bunch to this(although it's pretty much already said):
Let's start with the left, which certainly has different motives than Klinghoffer's. The urge to lament how far today's conservatives have fallen from the "golden age" of Buckley & Co. is a now-familiar gambit. You see, this is what critics on the left always say: "If only today's conservatives were as decent or intellectual or patriotic as those of yesteryear."
The best conservatives are always dead; the worst are always alive and influential. When Buckley and Kristol, not to mention Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan, were alive, they were hated and vilified by the same sorts of people who now claim to miss the old gang. The gold standard of the dead is always a cudgel, used to beat back the living.
And you run into things like this, the guy who invented Cheese Doodles:
Yohai was born in Harlem in 1920. After he graduated from the Wharton School of business, he took a job at the Grumman aircraft factory on Long Island. During World War II, Yohai left work to enlist in the Navy and become a pilot.
His son, Robbie Yohai, of Berkeley, Calif., told Newsday, "He decided since he was making planes, he figured he could fly a plane." He said his father had never taken an airplane ride. "The first time he was ever in an airplane, he was the co-pilot."
Morrie Yohai transferred to the Marine Corps and served as a pilot in the South Pacific, transferring injured troops and cargo back and forth.
...
After Borden relocated to Columbus, Ohio, Yohai left the firm. He started teaching at the New York Institute of Technology, becoming the associate dean for the school of management.
...
In later years, Yohai studied Torah and Jewish mysticism. He took up writing, and penned more than 500 poems and published two books of poetry.
He was a member of Temple Beth El in Great Neck. His philanthropic work included founding the New York Sephardic Jewish Film Festival.
Damn.
Enough. In a variety of ways. See you later.
Without going into details, Bank of Oklahoma sucks

Slight variation on a theme
I pay my taxes & the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.
In order to get that paycheck, in my case, I am required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem).
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.
So, here is my question: Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?
Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their BUTT----doing drugs while I work.
Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?
I guess we could call the program "URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"!
It was accompanied by this:
Spent a little time sitting in back
I've never had jays land that close to me at all, let alone settle in and spend some time.
I've got a few minutes, and the news is pissing me off
Hey, why wouldn't Mayor Fenty want to go more in the hole? It's not his money being wasted.
Pastor Harrington needs a kick in the balls; one guy got hurt, relations with the cops set back badly and the dumb bastard still thinks this was a good idea... And Mayor Ballard is a real suckass politician, isn't he?
"Well, yes, it's dirty money, but we're Congress! And we need it!"
Here in OK, the 'insurance scan' camera plan is in trouble. Good.
Well, well, a bit more on Sherrod's past, brought up by the left. And it's not a nice past.
Uh, it's not an 'upgrade' when the hospital forces you to another room so as to accommodate the muslim's sense of ethics.
Well, when you give the state the power to decide if you'll be allowed to exercise your rights, you get people like Terrence B. Sheridan, superintendent of the Maryland State Police, and three members of the Maryland Handgun Permit Review Board, Denis Gallagher, Seymour Goldstein and Charles M. Thomas Jr. screwing with people.
And last, this is what illegal alien supporters think of this country:
Makes you think there's a place for mortars, isn't there? One more thing: Robb links to the scene of a cartel gunfight in Mexico; note the use of radios, ID methods, prepared ambush, body armor and that this went on for 2-3 hours. Some pictures very graphic.

Julian Assange, slimy little bastard who SHOULD be worried
Second, here's the slimy little turd's 'protection'*:
Apparently Wikileaks is feeling the pressure because last week they posted an encrypted 1.4GB file on the site labeled simply as 'insurance'. It's believed to be the remainder of all classified US military documents they have and expected that Wikileaks allies would release the key should Assange be detained.
The only proper answer to this is grab his ass, charge him, and help anyone who takes harm because of his actions sue his ass off. Over and over and over. Screw playing games with this piece of crap.
Jeez, something smaller than the Bernardelli!
Unless you managed to shoot his eye out, of course.
Found in comments at James' place
I don't really want to, but this piece of crap Insty pointed to
Absolute effing horseshit.
If a congressman dodging taxes and violating ethics rules isn't actually 'wrong', then what the hell is it? That's a 'system' problem my ass.
On Ms. Waters, the charges relate to conflicts involving her husband's business. Unless the House is going to start hauling in every member with a potential conflict -- half of them seem to have spouses or children who are lobbyists, and the others seem to have businesses affected by tax or trade laws, government regulations, or government contracts -- it's hard to see how the House guardians of ethics are better suited to judge the matter than are the voters in Ms. Waters' district.
That's part of the damned PROBLEM, you dumbass! And I'm effing sick to death of people making excuses for this and the crooked politicians, excuses for garbage like this:
The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that the high-and-mighty Waters had a personal and financial stake in Boston-based OneUnited, a minority bank that received $12 million in TARP money under smelly circumstances. The banks’ executives donated $12,500 to her congressional campaigns. Her husband, Sidney Williams, was an investor in one of the banks that merged into One United. They’ve profited handsomely from their relationship with the bank:
Oh, and if Rangel is actually all that fond of the idea that the capital gains tax should apply to only real, after-inflation gains, why the hell didn't he do something about it? He's been writing the effing tax laws he broke, hasn't he?
Bleep. Bleep. Bleep.

Remember that dirtbag 'historian' Howard Zinn?
He's lied over and over, claiming not to have been a member.
McDonald's letter references a 2000 opinion by then-Attorney General J. Joseph Curran Jr.
"Any driver pulled over by a uniformed officer in a traffic stop is acutely aware that his or her statements are being made to a police officer and, indeed, that they may be repeated as evidence in a courtroom," Curran wrote.
That's nice. Now let's see the Maryland LE authorities stop acting like they're sacred and cannot be recorded by citizens.
All the crap I'm hearing about the 'Royal Wedding'
Why are liberals and 'progressives' always so busy looking for a king or queen?
Saturday, July 31, 2010
I don't want to hear another damned word from ANYONE about the wonders of British society,
But the small amount of traffic that passes through the Dorset village came to a dramatic standstill - after armed police opened fire on a van in broad daylight.
After secretly pursuing the vehicle, they waited until it came to halt, and then burst out into the road firing rounds into the tyres.
They then smashed a window and dragged the driver out in shocking scenes that followed an investigation into alleged plans to blow up a nearby mosque.
Ah, a planned terrorist attack stopped, right?
Yesterday, as it emerged that none of the men had been charged with any crimes, police insisted the tyre shooting had been safe.
Oh yeah, shooting out tires on a crowded street, whatever could go wrong? Especially since(I guess we know who that moron officer in Maryland has been taking lessons from)
Officers had followed England Defence League member John Broomfield, 27, home from work and waited until he was stuck in traffic in the tourist spot before they pounced.
The level of idiocy involved in this is staggering. HE'S FRIGGIN' STOPPED IN TRAFFIC and they shoot out the tires! And then smash the window and drag him through it?
Wonder if they're going to replace the tires and window they destroyed?
Note the last line of this report:
'At this stage there is no indication whatsoever that any of the mosques in Dorset are under threat of attack.'Found over at Eternity Road

I just had Hannity on, Updated
I've heard arguments between 5-year-olds that were easier to listen to than trying to get Weiner to answer a question. Short version: the bill is primarily health-care stuff for 1st responders with problems caused by/related to 9/11 service. The Democrats decided they wouldn't pass the bill unless a bunch of Republicans voted for it. Republicans refused to play:
He points out that no such fund has been created for Katrina victims, members of the military injured or for the families of those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, victims of the first World Trade Center bombing, victims of the USS Cole terrorist attack, or victims of the Oklahoma City Bombing. Goodlatte and many Republicans opposed the bill on the principle that the creation of special compensation funds is not the way to help the victims.
Weiner had a meltdown accusing them of everything but running puppies through blenders.
Hannity kept trying to get an answer to "If this is so important, just pass it; Democrats have enough votes to do so, so why don't you?" Translation of piles of bullshit: "We want Republicans to vote yes to give us cover." And it took him a lot of yelling and interrupting and talking over others to get that out.
As Insty puts it, the country is in the best of hands...
Update: from what I'm hearing the Democrats had some crap to help illegal aliens or immigration added onto this bill; not only did they not want to pass it by Democrats Only voting for it, some Democrats had said "I'm not voting for this bill with that crap attached to it."
Julian Assange and Bradley Manning: two people who may already
The Taliban has issued a warning to Afghans whose names might appear on the leaked Afghanistan war logs as informers for the Nato-led coalition.
In an interview with Channel 4 News, Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, said they were studying and investigating the report, adding “If they are US spies, then we know how to punish them.”
The warning came as the US military’s top officer, Admiral Mike Mullen said that Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, may already have blood on his hands following the leak of 92,000 classified documents relating to the war in Afghanistan by his website.
“Mr Assange can say whatever he likes about the greater good he thinks he and his source are doing, but the truth is they might already have on their hands the blood of some young soldier or that of an Afghan family,” he said.
Manning, you're a traitor. Assange, you're a cowardly little attention-seeker who doesn't care what harm he does, long as he gets attention. Well, you're getting it, you little shit.
And one more: Democrat lies and desperation
“We have no intention of allowing the Republican tax increase — that their policies would lead to — to go into effect for working Americans. Period,” he said. “We’re going to act and make sure that the Republican phase out and increase in taxes does not end as they provided for in the laws they passed.”
Catch that, puddin' slurping rethuglikkkan scum? Your evil plan to increase taxes will not succeed as long as Steny 'Fiscal Hawk' Hoyer is standing in your way.
Yes, they really think you are this stupid.
Yes, the Democrats letting the Bush tax cuts expire is a 'Republican Tax Increase'. Yeah. Sure.
From Ace's comments:
53 I think NOW would be a good time to remind people that the ONLY reason those tax cuts are sunsetting is because Democrats filibustered making them permanent in the first place.
Republicans had to pass the tax cuts through reconciliation as a budget measure which means that they had to sunset per the rules of reconciliation because Democrats refused to even make them IN THE FIRST PLACE.
So yeah, let's TALK about the sunsetting of those tax cuts. I, for one, WELCOME, the discussion.
Before my hand gives out, a reminder of just what bastards the Daleys were/are
But Mayor Daley went back to Chicago and pushed through an ordinance individually registering every gun in Cook Country. That ordinance was delayed one day because the U.S. Supreme Court had handed down U.S. vs. Haynes, which held that it was a "justifiable defense" for a criminal, prohibited from possessing a gun, to refuse to register it due to fear of self-incrimination. The Chicago city council found an innovative way to enact their registration ordinance while evading that law: Persons with criminal or mental records which prevented them from legally owning a gun were exempt from registration.
Never mind that criminals were the alleged target of that law, and that they were exempted, the city's new registration law applied only to the law-abiding citizen with a spotless record. And it's still the same way.Ever wear a sling in hot weather?
So, to take care of today, some of the current BS on Rep. Rangel(Corrupticrat Deluxe-NY) here, here and here. Personal observations:
I'm sick of hearing people in both parties talk about what a 'sad day' this is because "Ol' Charlie is such a pleasant guy", etc. Bullshit. He's a corrupt politician who's stayed in office this long in part because of idiots making excuses for him.
Second, ever notice this crap: “Sixty years ago I survived a Chinese attack in North Korea and as a result I haven’t had a bad day since,” Rangel told reporters earlier Thursday. Every time that bastard is called on something, sooner or later- usually VERY soon- he brings up "I served in the Army in Korea!", apparently considering that a shield against having to face people calling him on his corruption. Hey, Rangel, I don't give John McCain a break because of his service; so why the hell would I give a slug like you one?
Second, the US Citizenship and Immigration Service is playing games to try to work amnesty for illegals without going through Congress(God forbid the bastards in the House and Senate should actually have to make a vote they'd have to answer for). This kind of garbage is why I've wondered if there are enough lampposts to take care of the politicians AND the bureaucrats doing crap like this.
Basically they claim that the Draft memo is just a way to “internally” discuss Ideas and that they have no intention of doing Deferred Action on the entire Illegal population.
The Key Word there is …..”Entire”
Why I'm very glad the son isn't in Afghanistan right now:
Former presidential adviser Karl Rove has also noticed the fecklessness of Obama’s Afghan war policies. Rove made a particularly pointed comment in a recent Wall Street Journal article about the Afghan war press conference held between Britain’s new Prime Minister David Cameron and the president. Rove noted that, “neither leader uttered the word ‘victory’ or ‘win’ or any other similar phrase.”
As Rove observed, neither the American nor the British people have the slightest idea what the objective is with Obama’s Afghan war policy. Is it to defeat al Qaeda? Is it to defeat the Taliban? Is there any intentions to defeat anything, win the war, or make Afghanistan safe for average Afghanis? What are Obama’s goals in Afghanistan?
I think his goal is "Pretend I actually care long enough so it doesn't look like I wanted to cut and run the whole time."
What kind of idiot thinks it's a good idea to put out idiocy like this?
"Where is Grimm's money coming from," said Jennifer Nelson, McMahon's campaign spokesman. "There is a lot of Jewish money, a lot of money from people in Florida and Manhattan, retirees."
I mean, that's an amazing level of "FAIL!!!" right there. AND stupid. And in New York? Jeez.
Oh, bleep.
The Coast Guard has gathered evidence it failed to follow its own firefighting policy during the Deepwater Horizon disaster and is investigating whether the chaotic spraying of tons of salt water by private boats contributed to sinking the ill-fated oil rig, according to interviews and documents.
Coast Guard officials told the Center for Public Integrity that the service does not have the expertise to fight an oil rig fire and that its response to the April 20 explosion may have broken the service’s own rules by failing to ensure a firefighting expert supervised the half-dozen private boats that answered the Deepwater Horizon’s distress call to fight the blaze.
An official maritime investigation led by Coast Guard Capt. Hung M. Nguyen in New Orleans is examining whether the salt water that was sprayed across the burning platform overran the ballast system that kept the rig upright, changing its weight distribution, and causing it to list.
and
Obama has repeatedly blamed BP for the spill, telling the nation in a televised Oval Office address on June 15: “We will make BP pay for the damage their company has caused.” A day later he pressured BP to set aside $20 billion to pay economic damage to the region.
But in the critical first days after the explosion, the new report reveals the U.S. Coast Guard disregarded its own firefighting policy and might have caused the oil rig to sink -- prompting the leak that resulted in the largest oil spill in U.S. history.
Evidence unearthed by reporters Aaron Mehta and John Solomon shows the cash-strapped Coast Guard broke its own rules and didn't have a firefighting expert on the scene to oversee the private boats battling the blaze. There's an ongoing investigation to determine if the salt water sprayed on the burning oil rig caused it to sink.
And on that note, I'm done.

In a very short gunny post,
Yeah, it's really that small: not quite 4.2" long, .6" thick and 2.7" tall, tiny little thing. And empty weighs a grand total of just under 9 ounces; very much a pocket pistol.According to what I could find, they began making these in 1949, on a quick search couldn't find an end date(added: reference just ran across was 1968, after that import banned due to their size). They were chambered in either .22 Short or .22 Long; the one I fired was a Long. The safety is on the left at the front of the grip: up for
This is one of the smallest, lightest pistols I've ever handled, especially for all steel construction. Only my middle finger wrapped around the grip, but recoil wasn't bad at all. Sights are in a groove machined into the top of the slide: a nice square little post in front and a notch in back. If I have a chance to shoot it again I'll try some more precise aiming, the other day it was a chance to put a few rounds through and that was it. The trigger broke a lot more cleanly than I expected, too.
All in all, a very interesting little piece. I'll close with this I found at Unblinking Eye:
I consider these guns curiosities. They are fun to plink with, but can hardly be considered serious self-defense weapons, although if you could throw one hard enough and with sufficient accuracy it would have much the same effect as a rock. Since the safety only locks the connector, I fear the striker could be released if the gun were dropped, so I would not carry one with a round in the chamber.
Nowadays when you can get a .32 in a slightly larger package, this isn't something I'd want to rely on, true enough; it's way down in the 'Any gun is better than no gun(but some are just barely)' rankings.
But it's so damn cute, I want one.
I wasn't in the best of moods to start with, so moving on to telling Spain
On the morning of July 29, Spain's National Court announced that it has re-issued an international arrest warrant against three U.S. soldiers it implicates in an attack on Baghdad's Hotel Palestine, where Rodriguez and Couso, along with dozens of other journalists, were based during the Iraq war.
On April 8, 2003, one day before U.S. troops officially captured Baghdad, a U.S. tank fired a single incendiary shell on the hotel, killing Couso, a cameraman for Spain's Telecinco television station, and Reuters journalist Taras Protsyuk.
As I recall, one of the factors in the investigation was the guy pointing a camera at the troops; which in the fog of battle looked a lot like a rocket launcher. But who cares about inconvenient facts when socialist/progressive assholes have a chance to screw with Americans?
What does Spain have to do with the 2003 incident? Absolutely nothing, but that country has assumed authority to pursue politically-motivated persecutions of anyone, anywhere in the world.
And I(unsurprisingly) have assumed authority to tell the Spanish National Court to go to hell.
Mary Frances Berry is a name you may recall
...now the Geraldine R. Segal Professor of American Social Thought and History at the University of Pennsylvania(parents who have kids there ought to find out what crap they're being taught)
And what is she saying now?
Tainting the tea party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats. There is no evidence that tea party adherents are any more racist than other Republicans, and indeed many other Americans. But getting them to spend their time purging their ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats win in November. Having one’s opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing joblessness.
Yeah, God forbid you actually talk about problems when you can slander people to try to shut them up, right? Another good progressive slimeball in high position in education.
Project 21 member Bob Parks added: “What’s most disturbing about this very public quote? Not only is Mary Frances Berry making this comment without fear of admonishment, and that progressives have apparently embraced and are employing these very shameful, race-baiting tactics — but Berry is likely teaching this “social thought” hate to children.”
On one of the idiot 'explanations' of the latest pretty Russian spy:
If someone did know a little bit about this kind of technology, and had a grasp of history, they would come to the much more reasonable conclusion that the Russians would be interested in obtaining the latest U.S. technology so that they could reverse engineer it and then build advanced night vision scopes for export sales and/or use this tech to equip their own soldiers.
For the record, Russian soldiers aren't assassins either, and know hell of a lot more about night vision gear than some self-aggrandizing media whore retired New York cop.
A different view of the WikiLeaks bastards
But there's a new twist in the historical blame game. Obama does not want to be Nixon. After all, Nixon did everything he could to fight the release of the Pentagon Papers, because even though they largely implicated LBJ, Nixon did not seek a dishonorable exit from Vietnam. He genuinely wanted to prevent a Communist victory in South Vietnam, and had he remained in office, it is very doubtful that the North Vietnamese (who had been basically bombed into submission and knew Nixon would be right back with the B52s) would have crossed him. Obama not only cannot strike such a deal, he couldn't care less about the Afghan people. I suspect he just wants to pull out and blame Bush.
And a very direct view of the consequences of letting the Taliban take over again.
By RICHARD STENGEL, MANAGING EDITOR — Our cover image this week is powerful, shocking and disturbing. It is a portrait of Aisha, a shy 18-year-old Afghan woman who was sentenced by a Taliban commander to have her nose and ears cut off for fleeing her abusive in-laws. Aisha posed for the picture and says she wants the world to see the effect a Taliban resurgence would have on the women of Afghanistan, many of whom have flourished in the past few years. Her picture is accompanied by a powerful story by our own Aryn Baker on how Afghan women have embraced the freedoms that have come from the defeat of the Taliban — and how they fear a Taliban revival.
I'd imagine Breitbart is drooling at the thought (updated)
And she's still lying about Fox News.
And, under the heading of Awesomeness, I'd forgotten about this clip:
The problem isn't that we can't whip the problem: the problem is RWPP bastards like Jackson and Sharpton and Shabazz and now Sherrod gain too much by making things worse and dragging things out.
Added:
But, if having to defend a suit of dubious merit allows Breitbart to put Sherrod's life on trial, to conduct an inquiry into the NAACP and Sherrod's connections in the movement, and to take the depositions of administration officials, that might just be a price Breitbart is happy to pay.
Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks, is a scum-sucking
Julian Assange,
Pay attention to the last half of this:
He claimed many informers in Afghanistan were "acting in a criminal way" by sharing false information with NATO authorities and said the White House knew informants' names could be exposed but did nothing to help WikiLeaks vet the data.
Really. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. "The White House wouldn't help us vet the secret documents we were about to dump, so it's not our fault if some of the people we out are killed in unpleasant ways."
Vile little excuse for a man, isn't he?
Not much in the way of gunny stuff lately;
Seems the most competent administration ever, let BP set up the compensation fund in a way that they can write about half of it off.
If you've got kids in school, you'd better find out what the teachers are up to besides what they're supposed to be doing; they may be involved in this crap:
Well for most teachers I believe that is the case, but for those in the NEA who are involved in “Grass Roots” organizing, they may have been influenced by a little more than reading, writing and arithmetic.
According to the NEA website, the Radical Communist Saul Alinsky’s Book, “Rules for Radicals” is recommended reading to all of their members :
” of our Association who are involved in grassroots organizing, especially Association Representatives (ARs) — also known as building reps or shop stewards — and leaders at local affiliates”Here is a screen shot from the NEA website (Click to Enlarge):
Nice to know what the teachers unions are up to, isn't it?
Obama is headlining four Democratic fundraisers in three days and hosting another four events next week. For now he's playing it safe, holding the eight events in noncompetitive states or in a competitive place where he's sure to be embraced: his home state of Illinois.
Wednesday's fundraisers in New York are closed to the media, as was a similar event Tuesday night in Washington.
Wonder if any of our 'The People's Right To Know' major media weenies will be bothered by this? Or say anything if they are?
And finally, another piece of crap from The Obamas and the National Socialist Democrats:
It seems like a sweet sentiment – an e-mail message from a loving wife expressing a charming and fun way to wish her husband a happy 49th birthday by having thousands of people sign an electronic birthday card.
But in Washington, D.C., nothing is that simple. The wife, in this case, is first lady Michelle Obama, and the message is being sent out by the Democratic Party to people on its list nationwide.
Clicking on the link—“Will you wish Barack a happy birthday with me?” – sends you to “MyBarackObama.com,” the Organizing for America Web site, which describes itself as “a project of the Democratic National Committee.”…
...
...But typing in your name, address and E-mail, and hitting “Sign the Card” takes you directly to another page—a donation page, which states:
“Thank you for standing alongside us, with the President. Now can you make a donation to help us take on the year ahead?”—and a disclaimer that funds would not go to political candidates. ..
When I don't get enough sleep I have even less patience
At a Rose Garden press conference on Monday, President Obama decried the influence of “shadow groups” on elections and urged the Senate to pass the “reform” sponsored by N.Y. Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer. But the loophole-ridden package exempts large nonprofits with 500,000 or more members. Behemoth labor unions get preferential treatment. Bradley Smith, former Federal Elections Commission chairman, noted that the law places radical speech-squelching restrictions on companies’ ability to run independent political ads: “(I)f you’re a company with a government contract of over $10 million (like more than half of the top 50 U.S. companies) or if you’re a company with more than 20 percent foreign shareholders, you can’t even mention a candidate in an ad for up to a full year before the election. … There are no similar prohibitions for unions representing government contractors or unions with foreign membership.”
Sorry, corrupt, oathbreaking little bastards.

Always use the word 'Africa' or 'Darkness' or 'Safari' in your title. Subtitles may include the words 'Zanzibar', 'Masai', 'Zulu', 'Zambezi', 'Congo', 'Nile', 'Big', 'Sky', 'Shadow', 'Drum', 'Sun' or 'Bygone'. Also useful are words such as 'Guerrillas', 'Timeless', 'Primordial' and 'Tribal'. Note that 'People' means Africans who are not black, while 'The People' means black Africans.
Never have a picture of a well-adjusted African on the cover of your book, or in it, unless that African has won the Nobel Prize. An AK-47, prominent ribs, naked breasts: use these. If you must include an African, make sure you get one in Masai or Zulu or Dogon dress.
Well, this is interesting.

More from our Most Bigoted Attorney General and his Corrupted DOJ:
The MOVE Act, enacted last October, ensures that servicemen and women serving overseas have ample time to get in their absentee ballots. The result of the DOJ’s alleged inaction in enforcing the act, say Eric Eversole and J. Christian Adams — both former litigation attorneys for the DOJ’s Voting Section — could be that thousands of soldiers’ ballots will arrive too late to be counted.
“It is an absolute shame that the section appears to be spending more time finding ways to avoid the MOVE Act, rather than finding ways to ensure that military voters will have their votes counted,” said Eversole, director of the Military Voter Protection Project, a new organization devoted to ensuring military voting rights. “The Voting Section seems to have forgotten that it has an obligation to enforce federal law, not to find and raise arguments for states to avoid these laws.”

Jeez, Rangel can't be honorable in ANYTHING, can he?
Rep. Charles Rangel’s chances of cutting an ethics deal are in jeopardy over allegations that he met privately with Ethics Committee Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) Monday night without any Republican members of the bipartisan panel present.
Lofgren says she hasn’t spoken to Rangel since last Thursday, and sources close to Rangel deny that there was an attempt to cut a backroom deal with Lofgren. But Rangel’s attorneys met with Democratic ethics committee staff Monday, according to people close to the investigation.
It’s unclear whether Lofgren and Rangel themselves attended this meeting, but even if Democratic aides and lawyers met without their GOP counterparts present, that could cause problems with Republicans…
At least one Republican on the committee would have to agree to a deal — an outcome that would be next to impossible if Republican lawmakers believe they were cut out of any part of the “bipartisan” ethics process.
And Lofgren, you're another corrupt politician who ought to be thrown out of that taxpayer-supplied office.
Another example of "You actually expected US to obey the law?"
And I'll close with more slime dripping from Rangel. With Obama helping spread it.
What is truly disturbing is if you are not eligible for Military Service you will be Drafted into a Civilian Corps for a minimum of 2 years. Your”Job” in this Civil Corp will then be defined by President Obama. The bill even allows the President to decide who will be selected and how it will be done.

Second,
The stone-throwing incident in Hanover, however, has finally forced the authorities to take a closer look at a group of offenders that, though largely overlooked until now, is no less motivated by anti-Zionist sentiments: adolescents and young adults from an immigrant community who are influenced by Islamist ideas and are prepared to commit acts of violence.
An informal and accidental alliance has been developing for some time between neo-Nazis and some members of a group they would normally despise: Muslim immigrants. The two groups seem to share vaguely similar anti-Semitic ideologies.
The only reason they've been 'largely overlooked' is stupidity. And vaguely similar anti-Semitic ideologies? How the HELL can supposedly intelligent people write something like that?
The level of disgust I feel for these 'law enforcement' personnel
The District police department policy on forcible entry caused a "deadly delay" as officers waited for a supervisor outside an apartment while a mother and her two young sons were being stabbed to death inside, according to a lawsuit filed by the woman's family.
...
The District legal team has not contested the facts in the case, many of which were pulled from official police documents. But the city has sought to have it thrown out of court on legal grounds.
"In general, officers should seek the approval of an official prior to making any forcible entry," police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump told The Washington Examiner .
And what was happening while they sought approval?
"The caller, who was obviously a child, could be heard screaming for several seconds directly into the phone before becoming silent," the lawsuit states. "After which, a man's voice could be heard saying, 'I told y'all to quit [expletive] with me.' " The 911 operator tried to get someone to speak into the phone and can be repeatedly heard saying "Hello," but no one answered, documents said.
When police arrived at the apartment they could hear a voice saying "No, stop," from just beyond the door, police records say. An officer spoke to the 911 dispatcher, who advised that the caller was "a child screaming on the phone, possibly playing."
The first to arrive was a sergeant, who waited 45 minutes for a captain to arrive and approve the forced entry, police records show. It took another five minutes for the fire department to arrive and a few more minutes for firefighters to bust down the apartment's barricaded steel door.
Inside, they found the family already murdered. Mays was in the bathroom with minor self-inflicted wounds.
Just go read it. I can't type much, and I don't need to be beating on keys the way I will if I continue.

However, Mr Huhne’s department admitted that such policies could increase the price of electricity by up to a third and gas by up to a fifth. This would make the average family’s annual energy bill of £1,100, £300 more expensive.
...
To offset this, the Energy Secretary said people would have to make “ambitious” cuts in their own consumption and improve the energy efficiency of their homes, including installing energy generators such as solar panels.
Effectively it means people will have to pay more for their energy, but use less of it.

Perhaps Mr. Shabazz is unfamiliar with his own attempts to ‘stir up racial fears,' but in case he has forgotten we'd like to direct you to a video from C-Span (h/t John Simpson) in which he calls out to the crowd in Washington, D.C., to ‘unite against a common enemy' and to defend themselves against the police by: ‘when we see caskets rolling and funerals in the black community ... we will see caskets and funerals in the community of our enemy.'
The video is from an event held in the summer of 2000 called the ‘Redeem the Dream' rally. It was hosted by the Reverend Al Sharpton and includes participation by the NAACP, Rep. John Conyers, New York gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo, and former President of the NAACP and former Democratic Congressman, Kweisi Mfume. Oliver Stone attempts to shake off some of the pile of half-rotted marfi that landed on him for his idiot statements; I don't think it'll work. "I didn't say what I said" doesn't work anymore with anyone but his progressive friends.
The New York Effin' Times plays the same game: "The tea party didn' t actually say those things, but we'll keep hinting they're responsible."
Stone and the Journalist weenies. I like this part:
...They’re just all too dumb to realize that, when you get as far Left as Stone, the antisemitism stops being coy little references to capitalism, Israeli imperialism and Palestinian victimhood. Instead, it becomes the active antisemitism that travels from Chavez’s attacks on Jewish businesses, to Stalin’s periodic kangaroo court purges and suppression of religion, to Hitler’s final solution. (And I mention those three Leftist antisemites here because Stone specifically speaks of them as either admirable or misunderstood, or both.)”
Awww, it's 'traumatic' to be a corrupt politician and actually be investigated...

Obama/Holder buttkissers are working to slime Adams:
Then Dionne writes this passage that amounts to one big lie:And, just to keep following this crap,Now, Adams is accusing the Obama Justice Department of being “motivated by a lawless hostility toward equal enforcement of the law.” This is racially inflammatory, politically motivated nonsense — and it’s nonsense even if Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh talk about it 1,000 times a day. When an outlandish charge for which there is no evidence is treated as an on-the-one-hand-on-the-other-hand issue, the liars win.
Nonsense? No evidence? There is Adams’ sworn testimony naming names and at times dates; unless he perjured himself, that is evidence. There are the lengthy reports of the going-away speech by Adams’ colleague Chris Coates, a longtime civil rights activist who once was a lead lawyer for the ACLU. (The only reason Coates’ own testimony is not sworn is because DoJ refused to let him testify…
Adams’ latest exposé on the DOJ’s failure to protect military voting rights is here.

Howard Dean is a miserable lying sack of crap
And really doesn't like it when it's pointed out just what a liar he is.
