Saturday evening

and the data's in

And in the Land Down Under,

PC at any cost is in full effect.  As in "You may force them to commit a crime against you, so you'll be responsible."  Along the same lines as the abuser screaming "See what you made me do!"

So Australia may be down the drain as well.

Meanwhile, in (formerly Great)Britain,

almost nobody has the guts to publicly point out that elephant that keeps crapping on the carpet.  And those who do are looked on as troublemakers with bad manners.

That land is screwed.

Friday evening, and due to unforseen circumstances

(as in the pc having a nervous breakdown) there may be some duplicates in the data for a while.

But who cares?

A bit more of range report

from the other day, this one from the .45-70.  The load is the Lee 500-grain bullet, seated so the case just covers the last lube groove and is crimped, a .060 fiber wad, 35.0 grains of Blackhorn 209, Starline case, and a Federal large rifle magnum primer.  200 yards
For my eyes and iron sights, I'll take it.  4 3/16", so just over 2moa.

It's probably a good thing I can't get to that range very often, as I'd run into a lead shortage.

'A direct line' is an understatement

Former President Barack Obama’s eight years in the White House were marked by four huge scandals, each of which uniquely contributed to the unprecedented level of corruption now being exposed in the FBI’s Russia collusion investigation.

The four scandals include:
Fast & Furious, Benghazi, IRS targeting, Hillary's e-mails.
And remember, that doesn't include the OTHER gunrunning schemes, which our Professional Journalists mostly ignored completely.

Why?  Because the EffingBI is run by a bunch of corrupt bureaucrats who want to use their authority for political games, and to play kingmaker.

As Uncle has said "'Gun control' is what politicians do instead of something."

The truth is that the reason O’Brien, Watts, and Behar don’t fear socialism is the same reason that Nancy Pelosi wants to raise taxes, Bernie Sanders like socialism, and Barack Obama can say other people’s houses are too big.

They are rich and well connected enough to protect themselves from the downsides of socialism.
They also assume that they'll be in charge, don't forget that.

My, that was fun

Today, after the last few days of busy/frustration/worry, a chance to hit the range came along, and one of the things tested was the .310 Cadet at 200 yards.

Let's say the owner is happy with the result
First four in 2 3/8", the last opened it up to 4 9/16".  Either that one was pulled, or the wind drifted it a little left of the others; either way, that's a nice group for that little rifle.

'Protesters'

Owners Julie and Scott Hakes said they no longer felt safe in the neighborhood after their 21-year-old daughter, who worked at the cart, was repeatedly threatened and harassed.

"It started with one day that really started this all off where one of the main antagonizer over there was obviously bored, and my daughter was talking with a customer and laughing and joking," Scott Hakes told KGW8. "The antagonizer screams out, gets on the blow horn and starts screaming that out that my daughter is laughing at them, trying to make a mockery of them, everything that they believe in, and boom. Away it went. We were on the number one hit list from that point on."
Trash the neighborhood, threaten people, racial insults, and you ran off a business that raises money to help homeless people.  Bravo, well done!

Once again, "Go forth and kill the infidel!" means

"We may never know his motive."
Tuesday afternoon, CBSNews.com broke a big scoop concerning the Sunday night mass shooting up in Toronto, Canada that left two people dead and 13 wounded. According to the piece on their website, the attacker frequented ISIS propaganda websites and may have lived in the Middle East for some time.

But after covering the attacks for only one day, ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News decided to not only skip CBS’s findings, but also skipped reporting on the shooting all together Tuesday evening.

CBS’s findings were in direct contradiction to Canadian authorities that were telling the press they had found no connection between the shooter and terrorism. “The Ministry of Public Safety said Tuesday that they see no link to terrorism,” the CBSNews.com piece wrote. “But a law enforcement source told CBS News that Faisal Hussain visited Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) websites and may have expressed support for the terrorist group.”

Take hot weather, a family situation, and

the pc blowing up, and it's been a fun past few days.  Back online, after a fashion(like it or not), and the family thing taken care of.

In other news: I'm hot, tired, and really don't give a crap if the rest of the world blows up.
At least for now.
More bloviating later, if I feel like it.
