Doesn't surprise me, but the 'feminists' will lose their minds over it
The subject being women committing rape, or 'sexual assault' in the current definition.
Critics tend to dismiss these as trivial, suggesting that the men involved should just "man up." But, of course, there's no reason to think that such coercion is any more trivial where men are concerned than where women are concerned, unless you believe that women are such fragile flowers that they cannot possibly withstand things that men are supposed to ignore.
It will be interesting to see how college disciplinary boards handle this. If, in light of the data, women exhibit a similar predilection for sexual misbehavior to men, then surely the colleges should be punishing roughly as many women as men for such conduct. If they are not, the only possible explanation is some form of institutional sexism. That should be good news for Title IX attorneys, at any rate.
Finally, all this talk of rape on campus must be making college enrollment officers — already having trouble filling seats — even more nervous. Telling female students that they have a one-in-five chance of being raped (even if it's not true) isn't going to make them, or their parents, more likely to spend six-figure sums sending them to college. It might even push them toward online alternatives, as a YouTube parody video suggests.
With rape rates actually falling sharply, the current moral panic over campus rape seems more like political agitprop and mass hysteria than anything else. Like all such, this, too, will pass. But it will also do damage along the way. May reason assert itself sooner, rather than later.
Fat chance. The leftist 'feminists' see it as too useful a tool for attacking men, they'll fight tooth & nail to keep men from being listed as victims.

There is an asshole named Baldwin
who has, among other things, spent years telling anyone who owns a gun that they're a criminal- at least in waiting- and should be forcibly disarmed. Public safety, y'know.
Said asshole, due to a whole string of fuckups on a movie set, shot and killed one and wounded another with a prop gun. That turns out not to be a prop, and had a live round in it. After a number of OTHER negligent discharges earlier.
Holy crap, this is a cluster of error and stupid and uncaring worth of President Gropey.

And I bet you Baldwin will try to use it in some anti-gun ad or program.

I mentioned something to show a few days ago,
and here it is. For a while I'd been scraping some, and finally was able to get that MVA scope. The picture from their site was plenty good, this is an add-on of sorts. It came in a fairly sturdy cardboard box, well padded, but it won't last that long, and I don't have a case tall enough to leave it on the rifle(and wouldn't that be a bit awkward?), so I decided to make a transport box.
I wanted to work this out before using some nice wood, and the store, in the barrel by the saw they make cuts for customers with, had some pieces of OSB, so that's what it's made from.
Yes, I know eggcrate foam isn't traditional; I don't care.
Taking the scope off isn't a problem, as the bases and mounts make it easy, for when you want use the iron sights. I'll try to get a picture of it mounted, when I can make time.

Socialists and communists really like trains, don't they?
Probably gives them dreams of putting problems in boxcars. On top of which Biden has liked playing choo-choo with other peoples' money for decades.
Can you say 'collusion', boys and girls?
The country's largest school board association collaborated with the Biden White House before sending a controversial letter calling on the FBI to investigate parents as potential domestic terrorists, according to previously unreported emails.
The emails, obtained by Parents Defending Education through public records requests and reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon, reveal that the National School Board Association's president and CEO sent the letter to Biden on Sept. 29 without approval from the organization's board. The letter said that the acts of some parents at school board meetings across the country could be considered "a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes."
The emails also show that the White House asked the association for examples of threats against school board members days before Attorney General Merrick Garland created a task force of officials from the FBI and the Justice Department to determine how to prosecute alleged crimes at school board meetings.
Isn't that just wonderful?
Take note of the wording here by some other members of this group:
Halkias said that he and other board members would not have likely approved the letter, which he said "used terms that were extreme, and asked for action by the Federal Government that many of us would not request."
Viola Garcia, the president of the association, and Chip Slaven, the CEO, disclosed in other emails to the board that they had been in consultation with the White House and the Department of Education regarding an alleged rise in cases of irate parents showing up to school board meetings.
'would not have LIKELY'. Isn't that a nice, open-ended word? And Marx knows you can't have a bunch of irate parents showing up and getting in the way; why, they might prevent you from turning their kids into PC racists!
It remains unclear whether the White House pressured the Department of Justice to create the school board task force.
It's friggin Merrick Garland, he probably loved the idea.
Despite his many faults, McConnell kept this asshole off the Supreme Court.

Yes, Fauci- and a bunch of others- are Gods-damned liars
And yes, there is proof.
More here. Sounds like someone decided it would be a bad idea to be connected to repeatedly lying under oath.

'Higher' Education at Berkeley: it produces students
happy to give money to the Taliban.
If you help your kid go to college, you better make damn sure just what 'education' they're getting.

I need to clear some tabs
If a fair number of the assholes in DC called 'politicians' and 'bureaucrats' had any honor or shame in the first place, we wouldn't be dealing with this crap. But we are, so you know what they actually are.
The bigoted clowns in charge of Yale should sign it, right before they're fired for the harm they've done turning that university into a giant, hugely expensive babysitting business.
These documents just tell us what we already knew: either the murderer of Ashli Babbitt is incompetent, or a deliberate murderer.
Storming the Interior Building, injuring cops, damaging the place, and yet the chance of any Democrats describing them as rioters and domestic terrorists: just about zero.
No comparisons to the Civil War, either.
Another resident asked if the law meant “we are now like a lawless city, anyone can come in and just bash around and do all the damage they want without any repercussions whatsoever?”
Jensen said that arrests could be made and charges could be filed later.
“In these cases, the consequences are going to come not on the night of, but in the follow-up investigation,” he said.
Translation: You Are On Your Own. Except you're actually not, because if you actually defend yourself/home/family/livelihood, everyone from the Governor down will want you hanged.
Amnesty International doesn't like us peasants having arms. Against 'international law', y'know.
Wonder if they'd like to hear what they can do with said 'law'?
This one requires some more words:
Lawdog once did a "If I were President" that included having Marines set the charges and blow the UN building in to the bay. After having chucked all the staff in first.
He got it halfway right: they should block most of them into the building- after having flown a bunch in to be included in the ceremony- and blowing it with every one of the bastards inside.

Once upon a time at least some branches of the ACLU were worth a damn. Now?
"We defend the rights we approve of. And can use to force people to do what we want."
In Virginia’s Fairfax County, mothers Debra Tisler and Callie Oettinger suspected their Fairfax County school district was wasting taxpayer money on excessive legal fees. Tisler made a Freedom of Information Act request, and Oettinger published some of the records Tisler received on her website, after redacting any confidential information. School officials sued both women, demanding that the court order the mothers to return the documents—even though Tisler had legally obtained them—and order Oettinger to take the information off her website.
Incredibly, a state court judge granted a temporary order last month ordering Oettinger to take down the information. This was a flagrant, obvious violation of Supreme Court rulings declaring that such court orders against speech are unconstitutional “prior restraints” that violate the First Amendment. The Supreme Court has long made clear that people can’t be prevented from publishing information given to them by the government, even when the government gave them that information by mistake, and even when the information is highly private in nature. (See, e.g., Florida Star v. B.J.F. (1989)).
As of today, the ACLU has not said one word about this highly-publicized instance of censorship, which has been widely discussed in the media in the last couple weeks, such as at Fox News, on TV, and in print publications.
But what they do get upset about,
On October 14, the ACLU announced, “Three teachers in Loudoun county are going to court simply because they don’t want to use trans & nonbinary students’ pronouns. We and partners filed an amicus brief to tell the court: Refusing to use a student’s pronouns because of who they are is discrimination.” The ACLU’s brief was filed in Cross v. Loudoun County School Board. In that case, the Virginia Supreme Court, relying on the First Amendment, earlier upheld a court order temporarily reinstating a coach who was suspended for objecting to transgender-pronoun mandates at a school board meeting.

The PRC is really getting its moneys worth out of Biden & Co.
Chinese companies currently manufacture close to 30 percent of the world’s wind turbines and a whopping 71 percent of all solar panels in the world, making China the industry’s largest country of origin for the Left’s favorite “clean energy” sources. The U.S. manufactures just 10 percent of global wind turbines and only 3 percent of all solar panels.
Never mind that those “environmentally friendly” replacements to oil and natural gas are shipped to the U.S. on oil-burning cargo freighters or that Chinese solar panel production relies on forced labor by enslaved Uyghurs, a Muslim minority in the far west of China that Beijing has terrorized and imprisoned in internment camps.
...
To help pay for it all, the infrastructure bill would raise the federal gasoline tax by 191 percent, from 18.3 cents to 53.3 cents. The federal government raised roughly $36 billion in gas taxes in 2019, mostly paid by working-class and middle-class drivers. (The average American drives over 13,000 miles per year.)
Gas prices are already at a seven-year high, driven in part by crude oil shortages that drove the price per barrel to over $80 this year for the first time since 2014, causing the U.S. to import the largest amount of Russian crude in a decade.
