One more thing tonight, this for the "But Australia doesn't have mass-murders since we banned everything that goes boom!"

types.  Michael Z. Williamson look this up and posted it on Fecesbook.

It's now Saturday evening,

and thus clearance time.  Well, tonight or Friday, in this case tonight

All the leftists whining about Trump having abused Georgia Link fixed

with his conspiracy theory about the 2024 election?  He was right.

Lots of trees in Georgia...

The Brit .gov is calling for the young to prepare to fight,

and the attitude in return is "Screw you, you traitors."

And this is in The Telegraph, old major news service.

We'll see what happens.  Which ought to involve tree decorations.

Man, they really want history to be what they prefer,

not what it was.

‘First black Briton’ honoured by BBC was actually white

And, apparently, the fact that if she had been black she would almost certainly have been a Roman slave, didn't matter to them.

Ain't these people wonderful?

One of my favorite places, in the years since I somehow ran across him, has been Wirecutter

As he mentioned he would he's cut back a lot, and he's about to cut it back  more.  Still here, but going to once a week.

Damn, when he does pull the plug I'll miss him.

Ah, the wonders of those noble clowns hiding behind their badges

SHOCKING: Bondi survivor Vanessa Miller was separated from her three-year-old daughter and pinned down by gunfire. She told @Erin_Molan that she tried to grab the gun of a critically injured officer to suppress the terrorists, but other officers—rather than returning fire themselves—held her back.

“These police officers were hiding behind a car... I tried to grab one of their guns. Another one grabbed me and said 'no.' I hope they are hearing this. You are weak. You could have saved so many more people’s lives. They were just watching this all happen, holding me back.”

Remember that scene in the movie 'Demolition Man' where the cop is saying "We're not trained to deal with violence like this!" ?  I guess the Aussie cops took it to heart.

Same cops who knew one of the murderers had past contact with ISIS, but gave him a firearms license anyway.  And now say "We need more gun laws!"

And in the meantime,
Avner’s, a Jewish-owned bagel bakery in Sydney, has closed effective immediately following the Bondi chanukah massacre and escalating antisemitic threats.

The owners say police and security agencies warned the bakery had become a potential target, and that they were unable to guarentee their safety, making it unsafe to continue operating as a publicly Jewish business.

"No, you can't have weapons for self-defense, but don't count on us to protect you."

And here: no, it may not be possible to hate our 'news' media enough.

And, considering what we know of all the people Mamdani has chosen for offices, why would one showing more hatred of Jews surprise anyone?

It would give me great satisfaction if Trump does indeed take the ass off the BBC,

and we can listen to them and their politicians whining just like the ones Stephanopoulos cost so much money.

This was a range day,

first in a while.  Bit chilly this morning, nothing suitable attire couldn't take care of.  It started out chilly with almost no wind, about the time I was finishing it was picking up, so that worked out well; being out in it did wear me down a bit.

Which makes me think most of a week of digestive trouble wore me down more than I'd realized.  But did get some loads tested, and I'm happy with the results.  This time of year couldn't really ask for a better day.

First times I shot at this range included some cold/foggy/thinking about rain times, which included one of my first times firing .45-70, with iron sights, at 200 yards.  Which meant figuring the darkest part of the gong for part of it(see 'foggy' above), which made it very encouraging to pull it off.

One thing I need to look for is a better spotting scope.  This one works fine on .30-caliber holes and larger, but at 200 it's damn near impossible for me to spot .22-caliber holes.  Which I suspect means that one which will work for that is going to cost more than I may be willing/able to spend.

I need to win a lottery.  Which would be a problem because having seen something about the odds, buying a ticket would make me feel like I'd just thrown a few dollars away.  Dad bought a ticket every week, just for fun, and over time he made a little money.  I need to get more of his attitude on this.

How screwy are things?

Earlier today was a report that Brown University had wiped the website stuff of one student.

Now this.
Disgusting idea, isn't it?  But, considering the clowns running a bunch of colleges, impossible?

Not a damn chance, unfortunately.

I'd say he doesn't care for the new M7 and 6.8x51

rifle and cartridge.

As the subject of things going Ka-Boom came up with that gif the other day,

this is the result of a reloading mistake

Man came in with a AR15 he'd just finished building(not his first), and a box of ammo he'd loaded to test fire it.  Came about a few minutes later with a dazed look on his face and said something like "I think I grabbed the wrong powder."  This is the upper; the lower had, I was told, a bit of a bulge on the sides but that was about it.  You could salvage the handguard, and that's about it.  The bolt, bolt carrier, upper receiver, probably the barrel extension from the look, all trashed.

Amazingly, he was pretty much undamaged other than the shock and a couple of scratches/bruises.  Let us keep this to put in our reloading room to show people "PAY ATTENTION IS A RULE!"  In this case he grabbed a powder bottle without actually looking at the label and grabbed A1680 instead of the BLC-2 he intended, 1680 being a MUCH faster-burning propellant.

I have no idea of the backstory of this

But  it's bad

Apparently the Aussie cops have borrowed the 'He was on our radar' crap Updated

from the EffingBI.
NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon, as mentioned above, suggested to ABC that one of the shooters was known to authorities but “the person that we know has very, very little knowledge to the police.” It is not clear if Akram was the man he meant. “So he's not someone that we would have automatically been looking at at this time,” Lanyon said, excusing police.

Isn't that just wonderful?

And the Prime Minister is rightly catching heat for leaving something important out in his "I feel your pain" comments:
What is so shameful is that after the shooting, which specifically targeted a Jewish holiday event, the prime minister of Australia refused to mention the religious motivation of the attack or call it terrorism. He merely said his thoughts were with the victims and that the killing was “shocking and distressing.”
Now, we have to(they think) cut the bastard some slack, it wasn't that long ago he was kissing Pali ass and saying less-than-kind things about Israel and their government to buy caring points with the various 'Let's Have Intifada' types.  So if he actually called it a anti-Jew terror attack, it'll upset all those people he thought he had bought approval from.  And being a ass-kissing  control-freak politician, he can't do that.

On the bad guys having guns, when laws in Australia are what they are: the question occurs that, besides "Well, we knew about him, but he wasn't considered a threat", I have to wonder if he was able to get-keep guns and ammo because some clown in authority didn't want to be called a racist for telling him no?

Update: Ian has a piece on the reaction times, and let's say the Aussie cops don't look real good

Being what time has made me,

I'm wondering when various people will start bitching about the damage the Bondi and other 'We Hate Jews' attacks are doing to muslims?

Or, to borrow,

I'm also wondering which media talking heads will come up with the most idiotic things to say tomorrow?

Attack on students in Rhode Island,

'person of interest being held and nothing said further'.  Which does give suspicions, though the 48-hour rule definitely in effect.

And then, in Australia, no real doubt who's responsible.
At least 11 killed as terrorist attack targets Jews at Sydney’s Bondi Beach
Insty ran across this, an attack in London as well

If you carry, ever, do it everywhere/when you legally can.
