Once again, the weather makes it nice to hit the books

as it were

Seems like believing the initial reports of a hate crime

is a bad mistake; because so many of them are fake.
The mosque attack in California this week is not any different from what we have come to expect. It was done by a Muslim. And this is the second time this week that an attack on a mosque was discovered to be committed by a Muslim or Muslims.

It's official: these people are either bloody insane, or have no damned idea what this would mean*.
In light of this reality, someone really needs to ask the AP's Karl Ritter how much Kool-Aid he had to drink before he informed readers on Thursday morning that the "PARIS CLIMATE GOALS MEAN EMISSIONS NEED TO DROP BELOW ZERO" — and then attempted to take that goal seriously.
Idiots.  Bloody FOOLS.

Know that saying about 'that awkward time when it's too early to start shooting the bastards'?  Well, it may be too early(maybe too late) to shoot them, but I get the feeling it's time to start hanging some of them.  Starting with the IRS and the idiots who passed this stinking pile of garbage.

Ok, maybe a lot of them.

*Yes, it's possible that they know and don't care.  Because they think it won't really affect them.

Ho, ho, ho

and Merry Christmas to you all

'Tone shaming'?

As Michael Williamson said, you can't parody these people, they do it themselves.

Martin O'Malley really is a friggin' idiot.

"How dare you peasants criticize me!"

'Obama's Christian faith'... I don't think he's Christian any more than he's Muslim. For one thing, to have such a faith he'd have to worship something other than himself.

Planned Parenthood... these people really do suck.

And that's enough of that crap for tonight

Here's a response to the governor:

“A lot of the governor’s power is deferred to the General Assembly at that point and I’ll be getting with my collegues to circumvent everything this governor has done on this point,” he said. “I have a budget amendment that I’m looking at to take away his executive protection unit. If he’s so afraid of guns, then I’m not going to surround him with armed state policemen.”
DO IT.  I'll bring popcorn.

Dan Zimmerman. Intellectual Property Thief. Dead Hooker Magazine.

If you're wondering what this is about, story here.

Short version:
Dan Zimmerman, widely held to be a longtime intellectual property thief and, I am given to understand, founder of Dead Hooker Magazine, has stolen Tam’s “Fun Show Song” and posted the lovely video made as a Christmas present for Tam by Ambulance Driver and Squeaky and posted it over at TTAG, the other sink of iniquity and inequity with which he is associated, utterly without attribution to anyone but himself.

Therefore, as Roberta says "Good morning, search engines!"

Remember Officer Patrick Feaster?

The miserable bastard excuse for a peace officer who shot a man climbing out of a wrecked car?

The man has died.

Feaster is still facing no criminal charges.  Because a miserable bastard excuse for an officer of the court named Mike Ramsey took care of him("Screw somebody paralyzed/dead, can't have people thinking you can actually charge an officer for doing this!").

We can only hope that a higher authority will do something about this.  Possibly including having Ramsey disbarred.  And if nothing else, maybe the family can sue Feaster for everything he has or ever will have(only wish they could add Ramsey into it).

Male Nobel laureate makes a joke,

whiny 'feminist' and friends has fits and winds up causing him to leave.  Turns out she's lied about her background and accomplishments.  Punishment?
However, on Saturday the Mail revealed that Mrs St Louis had made a number of dubious claims about her own credentials on the City University website.

Yesterday, the university issued a statement admitting that it had now ‘spoken to’ Mrs St Louis and would ‘help her update her CV’. But it did not explain what her academic qualifications were.
This is known as 'academic integrity', apparently.

Some people started "Wear a hijab to support Muslim women!" groups.  Seems a lot of muslim women don't appreciate it.
For us, as mainstream Muslim women, born in Egypt and India, the spectacle at the mosque was a painful reminder of the well-financed effort by conservative Muslims to dominate modern Muslim societies. This modern-day movement spreads an ideology of political Islam, called “Islamism,” enlisting well-intentioned interfaith do-gooders and the media into promoting the idea that “hijab” is a virtual “sixth pillar” of Islam, after the traditional “five pillars” of the shahada (or proclamation of faith), prayer, fasting, charity and pilgrimage.

We reject this interpretation that the “hijab” is merely a symbol of modesty and dignity adopted by faithful female followers of Islam.
...
To us, the “hijab”is a symbol of an interpretation of Islam we reject that believes that women are a sexual distraction to men, who are weak, and thus must not be tempted by the sight of our hair. We don’t buy it. This ideology promotes a social attitude that absolves men of sexually harassing women and puts the onus on the victim to protect herself by covering up.

The new Muslim Reform Movement, a global network of leaders, advocating for human rights, peace and secular governance, supports the right of Muslim women to wear — or not wear — the headscarf.

Either S&W has gone, as Tam put it, nearly Colt-level stupid,

or their lawyers are idiots.

Speaking of idiots,
“If I have a cold I can’t buy Sudafed without ID, but I can walk into a basic NY gun shop and walk out with enough bullets to arm a small army..."  yak yak yak, etc. ad Bullshit.
Yes, they want your ammunition, too.

By the way, Simon, you moron: making it that hard to get a decongestant hasn't worked out that well, has it?  Which you're apparently too stupid to take in the lesson of.

Yes, NOAA and the warmenists(or would that be changists now?) are gaming the data.  And they really don't like being caught at it.  But this does sound like a good solution:
Do they really not understand that billions of tax dollars come with certain legal strings attached? “Shut up and go away” is not an acceptable response to a Congressional subpoena.  The taxpayers paid for the scientists as well as the nonscientists whose government records they deigned to release. No oversight? Fine, no funding. Shut NOAA down until they comply.  Good luck in the private sector, folks.

Oh yeah, another step:

Not NASA, not some other .gov, private enterprise, baby.

Yes, it still aches,

but it's better.  Therefore some screaming is now proceeding.

Speaking of Iran and terrorists, is there anything

those idiots in the White House won't do or say to make the Iranians happy?  And try to do more damage to us in the process?
Senior Obama administration officials are expressing concern that congressional attempts to tighten laws preventing terrorists from entering the United States could violate the Iran nuclear agreement and prompt Tehran to walk away from the agreement.
That would be the agreement they've already violated.  Multiple times.  And President HopeyChangeypants doesn't have the balls or desire to call them on.

On this, I can't decide if he's actively trying to damage the US further, or if he's so desperate to have A Agreement With The Iranians!! so bad that he doesn't care what the consequences are.

And- just possibly- a lot of dam operators

and other utility people just got more serious about data security.
Iranian hackers breached the control system of a dam near New York City, an infiltration that raised concerns about the security of the country's infrastructure, it has been revealed.

The computer systems controlling the Bowman Avenue Dam in Rye, around 20 miles from New York City, were hacked from the Middle East in 2013 and could have caused surrounding areas to flood.

The hackers gained access to the dam through a cellular modem, the Wall Street Journal reported, sparking worry all the way up to the White House.
It better have.
The dam breach was difficult to pin down, and federal investigators at first thought the target was a much larger dam in Oregon, the Journal said.
Maybe it was, and they got their address wrong.  Or they wanted to try a smaller one first.  Or maybe they used this to get something into the network.

Thrilling thought, isn't it?

My shoulder aches like a sunuvabitch for some reason,

so no screaming at the world for the moment.

'Transparency'

Which in this case means "We can see right through you, you corrupt bastards."
Attorney General Loretta Lynch has no intention of reversing the Justice Department’s defiance of the Inspector General Act. She made that clear during a House Judiciary oversight hearing last month. Indeed, her own Office of Legal Counsel has issued a badly flawed opinion that insists DOJ and FBI officials can, at their discretion, withhold information from the Justice Department’s inspector general -- the individual tasked by Congress with investigating those very same officials.
...
If this DOJ opinion stands, it will entitle DOJ employees -- as well as employees of other federal agencies -- to shield their operations from IG oversight under any other federal statutes with similar non-disclosure provisions.
One reason- just one- anybody can give me to the question "Why should we trust any of them?"

For those of you who hadn't already figured it out,

no, it was not a 'mistake'; no, it was not an 'error in wording'.  Obama looked everyone in the face and lied, over and over.
Buried in Obamacare regulations from July 2010 is an estimate that because of normal turnover in the individual insurance market, “40 to 67 percent” of customers will not be able to keep their policy. And because many policies will have been changed since the key date, “the percentage of individual market policies losing grandfather status in a given year exceeds the 40 to 67 percent range.”

That means the administration knew that more than 40 to 67 percent of those in the individual market would not be able to keep their plans, even if they liked them.

Yet President Obama, who had promised in 2009, “if you like your health plan, you will be able to keep your health plan,” was still saying in 2012, “If [you] already have health insurance, you will keep your health insurance.”
And every damned one of the Democrats who voted for this knew it, too.

And for every one of you idiots who insisted "It will be WONDERFUL!", and are now screaming at what coverage you can get(IF you can get any),

I knew Sweden was in bad shape, but damn!

Even before the massive influx of migrants in the fall of 2015, Swedes felt a need to protect themselves -- and with good reason. Since the Parliament decided in 1975 that Sweden should be multicultural and not Swedish, crime has exploded. Violent crime has increased by more than 300%, and rapes have increased by an unbelievable 1,472%.
I'd read in other places that the numbers were through the roof.  And that the government has been discouraging anyone talking about it, let alone blaming the immigrants/first-generation people committing the crimes.

And this:
The Swedish government, however, would apparently rather not talk about that. Foreign Minister Margot Wallström conceded, in an interview with the daily Dagens Nyheter that garnered international attention, that Sweden is, in fact, heading for a systemic breakdown:
"Most people seem to think we cannot maintain a system where perhaps 190,000 people will arrive every year. In the long run, our system will collapse. This welcome is not going to receive popular support. We want to give people who come here a worthy reception."
Symptomatic of Swedish journalists, this statement was tucked away at the end of the article. The headline was about how the political party that is critical of immigration, the Sweden Democrats Party (Sverigedemokraterna), is responsible for the asylum-housing fires. But foreign media, such as The Daily Mail and Russia Today, picked up Wallström's warning about a systemic collapse and ran it as the urgent news it actually is.
When your government isn't just hiding data from you, but is actively punishing people who speak it openly, you're right on the edge of the drain.  If not slipping over.
