Two things to bitch about tonight

First, remember the show Frazier?  It ran into the standard "It went on for about two years too long" problem for successful shows, but I liked it.  And a name he mentioned, in his "I went to Harvard, so you should pay attention!" bits on a couple of shows mentioned a guy name Michel Foucault as a Prominent Philosopher.  Which I didn't really care about, until I saw some background, after which I wondered(at the time I didn't realize just what asshats academics and philosopher types could be*) why the hell this guy was looked up to.

Then the other day saw a link to a more full background, which includes the bastard being a child rapist.  Which still leaves "Why does ANYONE give the shithead respect?"

The other is a clown called Macklemore, who doesn't like Jews and various other non-progressive-approved people and took part of his act at a show to spout off.  Which got him uninvited to come back, he's been shrieking "CENSORSHIP!", with some other acts running off to kiss his ass.  It has, however, in this case bitten him  in the ass, and hopefully the ass of every one of the "We can say what we want, you're not allowed to have a problem with it!" ass-kissers.

I do hope this follows them for quite a while; bastards have earned it.

*In the 'SPQR' novels, set in the late years of the Roman Republic, the main character once observed that most philosophers would be better used doing something useful, like herding geese.

But Chicago has all those Approved By Gun Bigot laws,

how can their crime rates be this bad?
Aside from being run by a bunch of corrupt clowns, that is.

Subject we touched on a few days ago, your territory is being invaded my muslim invaders?  Ignore, that it's obviously the fault of the JOOOS according to the traitorous bastard running the country into the ground.
And probably waiting with baited breath for someone to put out a new map with Spain labeled al Andalus again.

Brought to us by the Hemmorhoid:

Speaking of tolerant leftists,

Stuff to do, or try to, see you later

A lot of 'proper' leftist Jews are probably having fits right now,

looking at what their Party is doing, and saying about them.  When they'll get tired of being told they're evil?  That they and Israel should be done away with?

I know there are lots of dumbasses out there who support The Party No Matter What, but you'd think that, eventually, this would get through to them.

Of course, the fact that the EffingBI played Russiagate and lots of idiots still buy it bears against sense getting through...

Ah, to be insulted in such a way

is true praise, especially when they don't mean it that way.
“You’re being pedantic.”

“I’m describing the difference between invasion and being invaded. Civilisations have occasionally found that distinction useful.”

Nadia shook her head.

“This is why these conversations are impossible. You keep retreating into facts.”

I stared at her.

It remains one of the finest accusations ever made against me.

Nadia reminds me of Occasional-Cortex insisting that people were "more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right."  In her definition of 'morally right', of course.

I will throw in it's leftists, after a brutal murder, telling people to 'train with hammers' like the communist who murdered a woman, because that's such a morally correct thing...

I have a question: why keep calling people like Mamdani and his wife as 'anti-semitic' and instead just be honest

and call them Jew haters?  Simple, true, and maybe some people will get the point that that's a BAD thing to be known for.

It says 'open letter', so I'm copying it here

An open letter from a cardiologist to The Lancet.
I'm a cardiologist. I'm an Iranian Jew. And what The Lancet just published is a disgrace to the profession I've dedicated my life to.
Today, one of the world's most prestigious medical journals published an article platforming a campaign to suspend the Israeli Medical Association from the World Medical Association — the global body founded after World War II to ensure physicians would never again be complicit in state violence.
The stated grounds: the IMA allegedly failed to sufficiently condemn the destruction of Gaza's health system.
I need to say what thousands of physicians around the world are thinking but afraid to say publicly.
This is the politicization of medicine. And it will cost patients their lives.
Let me start with what The Lancet chose not to mention.
The World Medical Association itself opposes this suspension. The WMA has stated explicitly that it believes in dialogue and cooperation among all 117 member medical associations, and that suspending members because of the actions of their governments would undermine its ability to promote medical ethics globally.
The Israeli Medical Association has called these accusations "false or contested claims presented as facts." The IMA has advocated for humanitarian aid into Gaza, demanded protections for medical facilities, and upheld principles of medical neutrality. It is a professional medical body — not a branch of the Israeli government.
And here is the fact that apparently doesn't fit the narrative: Hamas systematically used hospitals as military infrastructure — tunnel entrances, command centers, weapons storage, and launching positions. This is extensively documented by multiple independent sources. The weaponization of medical facilities by a combatant force is one of the gravest violations of medical neutrality that exists — and The Lancet's campaign says nothing about it.
Now let me tell you what Israeli medicine actually contributes to the world — because this is what the boycott would destroy.
The PillCam — a capsule-sized camera that revolutionized gastrointestinal diagnosis — developed in Israel. ReWalk — robotic exoskeletons enabling paralyzed patients to walk — developed in Israel. Breakthrough AI diagnostic platforms for cardiac imaging, cancer detection, and pathology. Advanced cardiac technologies I use in my own practice to save lives.
Israel has among the highest per-capita rates of medical innovation on earth, with contributions to oncology, cardiology, neurology, and emergency medicine that benefit patients in hospitals on every continent — including in nations whose governments are now calling for this boycott.
Suspending the IMA doesn't punish a government. It severs research collaborations, breaks training partnerships, and isolates physicians whose innovations are actively saving lives in London, Johannesburg, São Paulo, and New York. The patients who lose are not Israeli. They're everyone.
Here's the question The Lancet apparently doesn't want to answer:
Where is the petition to suspend medical associations from countries with documented mass torture, systematic execution of dissidents, imprisonment of physicians, and zero independent press? Where is the campaign against the medical associations of Iran, Syria, North Korea, China, or Russia?
I was born in Iran. The Iranian regime has executed physicians. Imprisoned medical professionals for treating protesters. Denied healthcare to political prisoners as policy. Operated a medical system in which the government dictates what doctors can and cannot say publicly.
No petition. No Lancet article. No campaign for suspension.
When the standard is applied to one country and one country only — the world's single Jewish state — among 117 WMA member nations, the word for that is not "medical ethics."
The Lancet has a history here. This is not the first time the journal has platformed one-sided activist campaigns against Israel while maintaining a veneer of scientific neutrality. A medical journal's credibility depends entirely on its commitment to evidence, impartiality, and the separation of science from political activism. Every time The Lancet crosses that line, it degrades the trust that physicians and patients place in peer-reviewed publishing.
Medicine must heal, not divide.
The WMA was created so that the medical profession would never again be weaponized by political ideology. Expelling a member nation's medical association because activists demand ideological compliance is the exact inversion of that founding principle.
The WMA Congress meets in Rotterdam this October. The right response to this petition is simple: reject it. Unanimously. Without equivocation.
Medical associations should be held to standards of medical ethics — applied equally, to all 117 members, based on evidence, not political pressure campaigns.
As a physician who left a country where medicine was subjugated to political ideology — where doctors were tools of the state, not servants of their patients — I will say this as clearly as I can:
The moment we allow medical organizations to be expelled based on political litmus tests is the moment we destroy the neutrality that makes global medicine possible.
Defend the IMA. Defend medical neutrality. Defend the principle that a physician's allegiance is to the patient — not to the mob.
The Lancet should be ashamed.
And every physician who values science over activism should say so. Loudly. Before October.

It would be so much easier for them if The Lancet just admitted "We hate Jews"

Covering the current mess

I have, remember the fall I told about?  Well, it tore up the rotator cuff, which leads to, in a few days, I'll be having surgery on that shoulder.  Which will mean very little if any bloggage for a while, as doing all this one-handed is fun.

I'll be shutting off comments during that time to simplify upkeep on this place.

For now, isn't this just a wonderful modern Democrat?  "I hate Zionists, but that doesn't mean I  hate Jew- excuse me, Semites, because it's different when WE do it!"
Right.  Texas, you've got a fine example of that here.

Speaking of, Lawdog has a bit of history on telling a people "I don't care if it's your custom, you can't do it anymore.  Or else."  With the 'else' being serious.  And it really needs to be applied to a bunch of people.  I'll borrow one bit:

In these “enlightened” days, it certainly appears that the judicial and legislative political critters seem to think that certain barbaric acts are excusable due to foreign customs.

Huh.

This is the West. We have had the unspoken “Napier Doctrine” from before Sir Charles so eloquently stated it, and it’s time that we reaffirmed it.

If your religious, cultural, national, or ethnic custom is that “women are no more worthy than a lollipop that has been dropped on the ground”, well the custom in the West is that women are precious; and to be treasured and defended. You act according to your customs, and we’ll act according to ours — rape is a felony and you get decades in prison.

Your religious, cultural, national, or ethnic custom may be that women and girls must be modest, and you’re just following your custom by assaulting them “for their own good”? Be it so. Our custom is that fathers, husbands, and other male relatives get to practice corrective phrenology if they catch you being stupid. Let us all act according to custom.

Your religious, cultural, national, or ethnic custom may be that dogs are unclean filth, but our custom is that they are beloved companions. Want to kick at them? Ok, but our custom is to beat the brakes off of you when you do. You follow your customs, and we’ll follow ours. Deal?

Hear, hear.
I'm still wondering if the idiot running NYC will allow Sharia patrols to start, or if he's figured out that just might not go well?

Kim has a piece on another well-educated idiot playing 'cultural appropriation' games, while really only wanting that to run one way.

And, totally unrelated to news, someone had a link to her video.  It's a bit strange, but damn, she's cute and has a nice voice.

And now I have PT to do.

No, you can't hate the NYeffingTimes enough, because it's full of people

who are on the enemy side.

Borrowing a comment:
“If you do not believe @nytimes knew EXACTLY what they were doing with the timing of the Kristof “opinion” piece [ie, trying to preempt justified outrage at Hamas’s sexual crimes by suggesting that Israel similarly engages in such crimes] I have a nice bridge to sell you.”

"Don't actually gas them, but make them think you are

so you can terrify them!"  And if some die from that, that's ok with her.

Who's the nazi, again?

Speaking of,
That's more wonderfulness from the wife and advisor 'whose views do not inform the administration" of Mayor Commie Islamist.

What the hell is wrong with the people who hate Jews so much

they have to connect them with every-bloody-thing?

For some reason lots of idiot commies are part of it.

Speaking of idiots,

Same kind of people who think Kimmel is funny

How messed up are things across the Atlantic?

A British Jew decides he wants German citizenship in case he has to flee Britain...

And syrupean* countries are worried about some of all those people they just let in might turn out to be sleeper cells.  Kind of like lots of people warned about, and said syrupeans called them racist for suggesting it....

That second fitting nicely with this piece the other day on that subject, along with the general "You've let these asshats riot and so forth with little or no action taken, NOW you're worried about the result?"

Oh, and a bunch of Democrats here are having the same worries, after making sure to let those people in in the first place.

Ran across those at Kim's place.    Link added
And carrying is a very good idea right now

*Larry Correia started using that term for Europeans asshats recently.

Ah, the wonders of those noble clowns hiding behind their badges

SHOCKING: Bondi survivor Vanessa Miller was separated from her three-year-old daughter and pinned down by gunfire. She told @Erin_Molan that she tried to grab the gun of a critically injured officer to suppress the terrorists, but other officers—rather than returning fire themselves—held her back.

“These police officers were hiding behind a car... I tried to grab one of their guns. Another one grabbed me and said 'no.' I hope they are hearing this. You are weak. You could have saved so many more people’s lives. They were just watching this all happen, holding me back.”

Remember that scene in the movie 'Demolition Man' where the cop is saying "We're not trained to deal with violence like this!" ?  I guess the Aussie cops took it to heart.

Same cops who knew one of the murderers had past contact with ISIS, but gave him a firearms license anyway.  And now say "We need more gun laws!"

And in the meantime,
Avner’s, a Jewish-owned bagel bakery in Sydney, has closed effective immediately following the Bondi chanukah massacre and escalating antisemitic threats.

The owners say police and security agencies warned the bakery had become a potential target, and that they were unable to guarentee their safety, making it unsafe to continue operating as a publicly Jewish business.

"No, you can't have weapons for self-defense, but don't count on us to protect you."

And here: no, it may not be possible to hate our 'news' media enough.

And, considering what we know of all the people Mamdani has chosen for offices, why would one showing more hatred of Jews surprise anyone?

Monday, December 15, 2025

Apparently the Aussie cops have borrowed the 'He was on our radar' crap Updated

from the EffingBI.
NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon, as mentioned above, suggested to ABC that one of the shooters was known to authorities but “the person that we know has very, very little knowledge to the police.” It is not clear if Akram was the man he meant. “So he's not someone that we would have automatically been looking at at this time,” Lanyon said, excusing police.

Isn't that just wonderful?

And the Prime Minister is rightly catching heat for leaving something important out in his "I feel your pain" comments:
What is so shameful is that after the shooting, which specifically targeted a Jewish holiday event, the prime minister of Australia refused to mention the religious motivation of the attack or call it terrorism. He merely said his thoughts were with the victims and that the killing was “shocking and distressing.”
Now, we have to(they think) cut the bastard some slack, it wasn't that long ago he was kissing Pali ass and saying less-than-kind things about Israel and their government to buy caring points with the various 'Let's Have Intifada' types.  So if he actually called it a anti-Jew terror attack, it'll upset all those people he thought he had bought approval from.  And being a ass-kissing  control-freak politician, he can't do that.

On the bad guys having guns, when laws in Australia are what they are: the question occurs that, besides "Well, we knew about him, but he wasn't considered a threat", I have to wonder if he was able to get-keep guns and ammo because some clown in authority didn't want to be called a racist for telling him no?

Update: Ian has a piece on the reaction times, and let's say the Aussie cops don't look real good

Being what time has made me,

I'm wondering when various people will start bitching about the damage the Bondi and other 'We Hate Jews' attacks are doing to muslims?

Or, to borrow,

I'm also wondering which media talking heads will come up with the most idiotic things to say tomorrow?

If I was stuck in NYeffingCity, even if I wasn't Jewish

I'd be arming up.

The idiots elected a communist, islamist terrorism supporter, anybody who'll be one of his targets should be doing so.

Or getting the hell out of that craphole.

A good piece on a lot of both the anti-semitism running around, and

what's a central pillar for a lot of young males: revenge.  And the big threats these include for the future.  Which does include the problems of getting people to actually deal with the threat to the west of serious muslims who follow their old ways.
But then, modern Western people simply don’t understand how pre-modern people think. They simply cannot take Muslims seriously when they talk of jihad — even though this has always been the Islamic way of war. Eating dinner at a bar in Washington on Saturday night, I sat next to a European journalist (I won’t identify his country, to err on the side of protecting him) who has been living in self-imposed exile in the US for some years. He had to flee his native country because his reporting on jihadism earned him multiple death threats. He told me he used to be a standard liberal, but his brutal experience with how liberals in his country, especially his colleagues in the media, refused to take his reporting seriously. They considered him Islamophobic, and a disturber of the peace. Some of the homegrown jihadis he wrote about subsequently carried out one of the most horrific jihad attacks in modern Europe history.

He told me that he could probably go back to Europe safely now, because most of the jihadis who had issued death threats to him had been killed fighting for ISIS in Syria. Still, he’s afraid, and he has a right to be. He too believes that civil war is coming to Europe. He also believes that the governing classes, in both public and private institutions, will not allow themselves to see it, because it violates the way they prefer to see the world. I brought up the French writer Renaud Camus, and how he had been cast out of polite French society. The journalist knew about him, and said yes, this is the kind of thing he experienced too, simply for trying to warn his countrymen what was living among them, and what was to come. (After dinner, I googled this man, and he was exactly who he said he was.)

But see, the Jews are our real problem, right? Come on.

Here in Europe, it’s not Jews that make public life in so many European big cities unbearable. In fact, they were the first ones to experience the special pleasure of Islamic harassment and persecution — an experience that is now far more general. They were the canaries in the coal mine. They so often are. Now some European towns are having to cancel their traditional Christmas markets, because the cost of providing security to stop Muslims from attacking them violently is too great. Check this video out — a Muslim mob marches through a Christmas market in a show of cultural strength. No European Jew ever attacked a Christmas market, or tried to ruin it for others.

Throw in impatience with getting the economy going better.  Huge factor for lots of people.

You have kids in school? The teachers may well belong to the NEA, and this is what they're up to

now:
The nation's largest teachers' union plans to promote a version of Holocaust remembrance that does not mention Jews, according to its 2025 handbook, which references "victims of the Holocaust from different faiths" and teaches that Israel was founded through "forced, violent displacement and dispossession," its most recent guide for members shows.
Aren't they just wonderful people?
