bit of freezing mist on top of it, that may be a problem. Therefore, inside working on the next batch of information, I am.

Why you're not Officer Friendly anymore, Reason #582:
Lying, perjuring, abusive bastards.
Combined with "Why lots of prosecutors should be disbarred and then prosecuted themselves, Primary Reason: you're a lying bastard yourself, and you help cops break the law. Add the County Attorney to that as well.
Note it's not just the one cop, oh no, a BUNCH of them had no problem making false statements and perjuring themselves in court. Including their Gods-damned chief.
Police Chief Culpepper gave a police statement that he witnessed the battery, but in a deposition he said, "I wasn't out there." But that didn't stop Culpepper from characterizing Dendinger's actions as "violence, force."
Which brings up the question "How many times before have they lied under oath and gotten away with it?" That ought to be looked into.
Every damned one of them should be actually prosecuted for it; considering there's video evidence, shouldn't be a problem. The attorneys should all be disbarred, and prosecuted. And I'll bet a bunch of people start digging into other cases over that 'how many times before' question.

Racist bastards like our Attorney General and Al Sharpton agree:
"It should be considered a hate crime because we SAY it is!"
Holder told POLITICO that between now and his departure, probably in early March when the Senate is expected to confirm Loretta Lynch as his successor, he will call for a lower standard of proof for civil-rights crimes. Such a change would make it easier for the federal government to bring charges in the case of a future Ferguson or Trayvon Martin.
A: He's really pissed he couldn't find a way to charge Zimmerman, or the cop in Missouri.
B: His solution: "It's a hate crime if one of my people SAYS it is!"
C: You can damned well bet that if some New Black Panther clown commits a rape/assault/robbery/murder while screaming "DIE WHITEY!", that will NOT be considered a hate crime by this bastard.
And his little RWPP friend Sharpton joins in:
Sharpton explained, “The intent to prove that Zimmerman did it because of his race, that is the legal threshold,” adding, ” Unless we change that legislation, we end up where we are in terms of the Trayvon Martin case.
'Where we are' meaning "They expect us to actually PROVE something! That's not right, we should be able to SAY it's a hate crime and that be enough!"
Yeah, that 'innocent until proven guilty' stuff is SUCH a problem for the racists and social engineers.

A fine example of why I despise leftists
“A lot of wealthy white and black people aren't bad but they control 1
percent of the economy and this cannot stand,” Biden told about 100
guests, including past civil rights activists and NBC weatherman Al
Roker.
“It's not fair because the business experts are saying that concentration of wealth is stunting growth. So let's do something that's worthy of emancipation,” said Biden, according to a press pool report of the event.
Let's ignore, for the moment, how much leftists have had to do with this(President Goldman Sachs, anyone? Frank-Dodd?) and study that "Let's steal from people richer than we like what they worked for anduse it to buy votesproperly redistribute it! For the good of the collective!" bullshit. From someone who for decades has spent Deity-knows-how-much of other peoples' money to play trains with Amtrak, and other such wonderfulness.
When I was young, it always bothered me that most people around were Democrat by default; even when they thought the candidate was a drunk/thief/lying bastard, they'd still vote for the Party Candidate no matter what. It just seemed so damned DUMB. And it was. Lots of people of more independent mind still registered Democrat, because at least they had some slight say in things; the R candidates almost never had any chance around here, and being able to vote in the D primary sometimes allowed some control over a matter.
By the time I'd started voting I'd also learned that the Democrat politicians who were not leftist-minded and/or thieves couldn't be counted on; push came to shove, most of them would do what the Party wanted even when they knew it was wrong, or crooked, or disgusting.
(Yes, I know, some people are screaming "What about the Republicans!"; different rant)
And the Democrat party has become this: skin color(and every other 'minority' status possible) counts over all, theft of private property is Good(as long as they're in control of it), the US is a nasty country, the House Black and Latino Caucus ignore blacks and latinos who don't have the right letter after their name(or openly trash them) and somehow this socialist crap that's damaged/ruined/destroyed all across the globe will work THIS time, because THEY'RE in charge!
Enough to make you go paint(washable paint, of course) a big 'D' on every baby seal you can find.

The politically-correct racism of the left on display
with kids paying the price.
African Americans received a “bonus” of 230 points, Lee says.
She points to the second column.
“Hispanics received a bonus of 185 points.”
The last column draws gasps.
Asian Americans, Lee says, are penalized by 50 points — in other words, they had to do that much better to win admission.
Let's talk about the price of this bullshit:
Black kids especially, hispanic a bit less so, being raised with the 'education' system telling them they can't be expected to meet the same standards as those disgusting white and oriental kids, so "We have to give you easier stuff, we have to make it easier for you to pretend you're actually learning stuff."
They grow up with this, and a lot of them will flatly believe it; either 'the White Man won't let me get ahead' or 'We're black, you can't expect us to learn this stuff!'. With a large dose of 'Those Asian kids suck, they're smart and have to be held back.' Which all comes together to poison their lives.
Some will have parents who don't buy it and won't let them buy it, some will see it as the bullshit it is, and the rest will have their lives damaged, possibly forever, by it.
But it's ok, because it's all in the name of Holy Diversity! And a 'proper' balance of skin colors on campus is far more important.
May have been Thomas Sowell a while back who pointed out that black kids in Jim Crow days, facing actual segregated schools and nasty institutionalized racism, who were expected by their parents to learn, no excuses, often came out of (often badly-equipped and underfunded)high schools with a better education than they get now. A lot of 'liberals' decided it was mean to expect those poor negro kids to learn at the same rates as white kids, so "We have to Help Them!", and it's been downhill into the ditch ever since.
But if you insist all kids and all schools and all TEACHERS be held to the same standards, no bullshit "But these kids are 'X', and need a break!", YOU'RE a racist...

Proper response to this crap starts with arrest warrants,
and subpoenas, and lawyers being disbarred.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee announced on Thursday night that hundreds of former IRS official Lois Lerner’s previously “lost” backup tapes have been recovered, which could result in the recovery of a new trove of her emails.
IRS Deputy Inspector General Timothy P. Camus told Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) on Thursday that it took investigators just two weeks to recover 424 backup tapes that were previously said to be unretrievable.
...
In one of the new emails, Lerner apparently wrote, “No one will ever believe that both your hard drive and mine crashed within a week of each other.”
And this alone should get that clown running the agency arrested for lying under oath:
Chaffetz was stunned when he asked Camus if anyone from the IRS had ever asked for the backup tapes and he replied, “No.”
“We send a subpoena, we send letters, we have hearings, we hear all kinds of excuses from the IRS,” Chaffetz said. “Every excuse you can have under the sun — you find them in two weeks, and then when you go talk to the IT people who are there in charge of them, they told you that they were never even asked for them. Is that correct?”
“That is correct,” Camus replied.

And I'm told it happens in all the other branches,
and it's one reason our military is in trouble.
Isn't it friggin' amazing how many people who laughed at people warnings of a caliphate a year ago are fixated on it now?
From the pen of Eric Holder; because we can trust him and ATF to not abuse this, right?
A quick glance at the Federal Register (Vol. 80, No. 37, p. 9987-88) today reveals that Attorney General Eric Holder, who earned cautious praise last month for a small reform to the federal equitable sharing program, has now delegated authority to the Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to seize and “administratively forfeit” property involved in suspected drug offenses. Holder temporarily delegated this authority to the ATF on a trial basis in 2013, and today made the delegation permanent while lauding the ATF for seizing more than $19.3 million from Americans during the trial period.
...
Further, the department claims that forcing the ATF to go through a judicial process in order to seize property requires too much time and money. Whereas an “uncontested administrative forfeiture can be perfected in 60-90 days for minimal cost […] the costs associated with judicial forfeiture can amount to hundreds or thousands of dollars and the judicial process generally can take anywhere from 6 months to years.” In other words, affording judicial process to Americans suspected of engaging in criminal activity takes too long and costs too much.
'SUSPECTED drug offenses'. 'We don't have time to do legal stuff, we want to steal this NOW!' Good excuses, right?
They don't just want to tell you what to buy, they want to tell the stores how/where to display stuff. Because you can't survive without them controlling this.
From Hoyt:
This is not whether a third generation red-diaper baby raised abroad, who by his own admission sought out communists and other America-hating communities loves his country or not, because well… for most of this country (over 50% according to a survey, and mind you these always skew left) the question is not a question and the fact that the man who can barely sit still through the pledge of allegiance, hates our founding documents and thinks we should grant people “positive rights” (like, oh, the USSR) is not overfond of us is not a surprise. I mean, he sat through “Goddamn America” and wrote in his premature autobiography (like a premature ejaculation but funnier) that if it came to a war between America and the Caliphate he’d side with the caliphate.
Love America? I wonder who the 47% are who thinks he does, and whether they’ve been out from under that rock for the last decade.

Light loads, mixed results
After some more reading, decided to try sizing the bullets to .311". Also to try a recommended load in .30-06 of 3.2 grains Bullseye, and in .30-30 2.7 grains. One more change as well: it's long been a thing, on rimless cases used for light loads like this, to enlarge the flash hole with a #30 bit. Supposed to give more even ignition when using small charges of fast-burning powder, but also with such light loads a common problem is the shoulders of the case can wind up being shifted if the case is used a few times, affecting headspace; enlarging the flash hole alleviates this. So picked ten cases and modified them, and did one other thing; cases so modded CANNOT be used with regular loads; it tends to blow out primers. So used a file to cut a notch in the rim to ID them, and I'll make damn sure to keep them separate.
Also, you might remember a few years back there was a lot of Korean milsurp .30-06 imported, from two plants: one PS headstamp, the other KA. The KA was slightly corrosive, so a lot of people just dumped it. Being cheap and a scrounge I picked up the stuff and kept it; cleaned thoroughly and used with new primers, it works fine. So I used only these for the modified cases, so one more difference from the others.
First, tried the Lyman 115-grain Carbine bullet, no gas check, sized to .311 but with the previous load of 5.0 Unique. Also, the bullet was seated so the case mouth was just a touch past the front of the lube groove. Previous test showed that to shoot better in this rifle than with it seated to the crimp groove
I'm calling this aiming error on my part, having what amounts to two groups. Which means re-test.
Also with the old 5.0 Unique, the 100-grain wadcutter sized to .311
Not so hot.
Next is same bullet over the new 3.2 grains Bullseye, in a modified case
Much better. Yes, I realize I should have loaded one set in a standard case with the new charge so I'd only be changing one thing at a time. I'll have to do that later.
Here we have this done: on the left is the .32-caliber SWC bullet in a non-modified case,
and on the right in a modified case. These are so close I can't call a real difference.
On the .30-06 the 3.2 Bullseye works. So I've got a list:
Try the 115-grain spitzers with the 3.2 load
Try the 100-grain wadcutter and SWC bullets unsized over this load, see if the sizing made a difference. Make sure to try the WC in modified AND non-modified cases.
On to .30-30. Again, bullets sized .311, over 2.7 grains Bullseye.
First, the .32 roundnose bullet
Doesn't like this one sized any better than unsized, with either powder.
The SWC bullet on the other hand,
gave a nice tight group, well worth trying again.
I did try the wadcutters over the old 5.0 Unique as well as the new charge, but I've lost the damn target pictures. They weren't bad, but not as tight as the group from the last range session. These will be tried again with the bullets unsized, to see if that makes a difference.
And how, I'm tired. And want to get some sleep so as to get some stuff done in the morning before the snow starts. 'Night, all.

Started out with five pounds of pork belly,
cured it with salt, a little brown sugar and some rosemary, and yesterday I smoked it. Right now there's three slices popping in the pan. And after devouring that I'm going to take those loads to the range to try out before the weather turns to crap.
More bloggage later. Although I will point out one thing: Gov. Walker not playing according to the preferred script of the Evil Party hacks is driving them up the wall.

Also note she's still pushing the "Mattress Girl is a hero!" line.

Tab clearing
It seems the rifle India designed for the troops rather sucks.
Some specifics here.
Top U.S. Army Marksman Explains Why Gun Nuts Shoot Better
Master Sgt. Scott Satterlee says the military could learn a lot from civilians
I love this line:
“There were guys in their eighties—barely held together at the seams—who were out-shooting me,” he recalls.
“My son, Jamiel Shaw II, was murdered while walking on his own street, three houses down from his home. An illegal alien on his first gun charge was visiting a neighbor when my son was coming home,” he said. “He shot my son in the stomach and then in the head, killing him.”
“Do black lives really matter? Or does it matter only if you are shot by a white person or a white policeman?” Shaw asked.
They matter, Mr. Shaw; problem is, right now illegal aliens matter a lot more to the assholes in Sodom on the Potomac, and a lot of other politicians locally.
Lots of media over there just as trustworthy as over here when it comes to PC and 'progressive' subjects. Like globular warmering.
"Nothing to see here, nothing to worry about, just shut up and leave us alone."

Yes, it's The Guardian, but
would this actually surprise anyone?
I have to note, when I read
In preparation for the Nato protest, Church, who is from Florida, had written a phone number for the National Lawyers Guild on his arm as a precautionary measure.
it put me in a less-than-sympathetic mood toward this clown; having the number of that group as your "I want to call my lawyer" kind of tells us what your views are. Which is really irrelevant to this, as if CPD is doing this, then a bunch of people need to be fired and prosecuted.
Well, if they try the Marines could take care of it again. If the idiots in Sodom on the Potomac would let them.
Son was once in the 2nd Cav; considering the level of support they'll get if things go to hell, I'm glad he's not there now.
Especially with the readiness of some of the NATO allies. Y'know, some of the people who're supposed to help if it does blow up.
And it's at least in part this bad because they're counting on us to take care of it. Start closing bases in Europe and tell the EUnuchs to step up on their own defense. Or get screwed.

"I am woman! Hear me scream
'Save me from the evils of those who won't agree with me!' " Stolen from Ace:
Mainstream "geek culture" media have been frothing at the mouth this month because Supanova, an Australian convention for sci-fi, comic, anime and gaming fans, has refused to rescind actor Adam Baldwin's invitation to appear, after a petition claimed that, as a supporter of GamerGate, his attendance will make women "feel unsafe".And by 'feel unsafe' they mean he will disagree with them. Because if you took feminist SJW's claims seriously, the only possible conclusion would be that women are such weak, utterly-maladapted-to-this-world delicate little creatures that they really should be assigned court-appointed guardians and placed in institutions where they can be protected from this cruel world of criticism, expectations, judgment and logic that refuses to properly bow down before the almighty Feelings.
Well, it's not like the readership of GQ
would get anywhere with the orbital mechanics, is it? The nearest they get to the space program is stocking up on Astro Glide.
Once upon a time I had a subscription to Men's Health. Back when it had a bit more focus on workout stuff and less on social crap(like printing an article that appeared written by the Center for Science in the Public Interest as if it were proven fact). And then it changed, and you started seeing crap like "THIS is the raincoat you should buy. Yes, it costs a little over a thousand, but look how it will fill out your wardrobe!" A lot. Guess what did not get renewed?
And, as expected, ISIL is getting around to burning books. Wonderful people, aren't they? I'm just surprised they didn't use them to burn somebody.
They don't like musical instruments, either.
No, they'll never publicly correct the record; because being victims makes their whole life worth it, and is their way of manipulating people.
Saying 'slow down your breathing', something like that would be fine; telling a cop in a dangerous situation to CLOSE YOU EYES?
I clicked the link, and started reading; I couldn't take it for long. What kind of moron actually writes
In reality though, never in the history of this country has gun laws been so lax than they are now.
and seems to actually mean it?
Demonstration of why Californicated does not count as a place I'd want to live. And a very good note of just what we're fighting in clowns like Mommies Want and CSGV:
For example, if you point these Progressive myopics to a story about an off-duty deputy who was able to stop a mall shooter, they’ll refuse to acknowledge that a gun saved lives. Instead, you’ll start hearing silly statements, such as “The shooter’s aim was bad, so he wasn’t going to kill anyone anyway.” To the gun haters, a story without dead bodies is no story at all. We Second Amendment people are different. We count the people at the mall who didn’t die once the deputy took out the shooter.
On SJWs wanting everyone in their proper hole
This is of a piece with their inventing a multitude of genders (how many was it at last count, 41?) including “seeking” which means “don’t know.” It’s like they believe being a man or a woman and gay or straight means you have to absolutely conform to the stereotypes. If you don’t, you need a new word to describe what you are because every widget must be described so the right slot is found for him/her/shim/sher/blob. The seeking part always makes me think goes something like this “ZOMG, I’m not being attracted to anyone right now. I don’t know what I am. Seeking, seeking, seeking.” If you imagine that said in a little robot voice it’s just about perfect.
What amazes me is their assumption that not just them but EVERYONE would be happy in a world like that, where each human is put in a cubby and expected to live there forever.
Also on the SJW subject, the ILOH took notice of that "Only read books by PC-approved authors" clown, and couldn't let it go.
And a level of SJW stupid that's a little hard to describe:
At Campus Reform, Katherine Timpf reports that black student, staff, and faculty groups want mentions of race banished from school's crime alerts:

University of Minnesota (UM) officials are discussing a proposal which would ban any mention of race when describing a suspect in a crime alert. The officials are discussing the matter with student and faculty groups who wrote a letter to the school claiming that the use of racial descriptions in crime alerts leads to racial profiling, according to the local CBS affiliate website.
Know that poster 'Owning a chainsaw
doesn't make you a lumberjack'?
Well, I've been watching proof that 'Owning a SUV or 4WD doesn't mean you can drive in snow'.
Well, I've been watching proof that 'Owning a SUV or 4WD doesn't mean you can drive in snow'.
And one more factor to test
On the gallery loads using the .32-caliber bullets in rifles, I'd been using the wadcutters, semi-wadcutters and round-nose bullets as-cast. Which in some cases worked very well, in others not. So I took some of each, sized them .311 and re-lubed, and need to load them.
What I usually to do keep such separate and labeled is baggies. They make snack-size that work well for up to ten-twelve rounds, and I can use a marker to write the load and bullet info on the bag.
And for results, I've gotten into the habit of, every time I run the target back to me, I write the cartridge & load info on it and take a picture. Partly for electronic record so I don't have to keep a pile of paper targets, but also because sometimes a target tears out of the shuttle, or the shuttle breaks and you can't get it back(twice in the last month). May lose the pic/paper of one group, but not all the others.
On the sizing and lubing: Lee sizing die. These things are great; the die fits into a loading press, the ram snaps into the press ram where the shellholder goes, and pushes the bullet through, and the container that now fits over the die catches it all. You can use Lee Liquid Alox to lube them(the one problem is this stuff NEVER completely stops being a bit sticky), or any of the multitudinous homemade formulae you can find at Cast Boolits. Personally, after trying it, I've been using this 45/45/10 mix; a little goes a long way, once set it's not sticky, and seems to do a very good job. My method:
After I cast a bunch of bullets, I go through them for any obvious bad ones, they go back in the pot and the good ones into a baggie. When ready to lube, I squirt some into the bag, seal it, and work the bullets around to distribute it all over, then spread them out on waxed paper to dry(somewhere I don't have to smell it). Not too many at a time in a bag, otherwise some won't get a coat.
On the subject of lube, few years ago the subject of lubing cases before resizing came up, and someone suggested mixing the Lee case lube with alcohol in a spray bottle and spraying the cases with that. Works. They started using the baggie method. I've got a gallon-size freezer bag(thicker plastic) into which I dump a bunch of cases. Spray half a dozen squirts, then close the bag and work them around. If you've got a LOT in there, give a few more squirts, then work around again, then let it sit a few minutes. With that bag the alcohol can't evaporate, so the stuff stays liquid and can slide around on the cases. You can open the bag somewhere and let the alcohol evaporate, or if you've got decent ventilation just take them out of the bag one at a time and resize; the lube works well after drying, when the alcohol is still present it's even slicker. I do use gloves, just to keep the stuff off my hands.
I shall now find those bullets, and see about trying them sized. Also, guy at CB said he's had good results using 2.7 grains of Bullseye under these bullets in .30-30, so that's on the list too.

And when the glossy name and story stops being enough...
Rather than standing foursquare on a wide, bipartisan consensus, he is
ruling from a narrow circle of advisers on the residue of the
legitimacy provided by his charisma. The authority for his actions is
increasingly himself. This happens all the time with charismatic leaders. Hugo Chavez did it, and it leads to disaster. Because the day
may come when someone may ask , “well where are all these beautiful and
evocative short stories you wrote as an organizer?” Where are all the
articles you wrote as President of the Harvard Law Review? And what
was your legislative track record before becoming president? These
questions are all off limits even though they are interrogatories of the
most ordinary kind. And they are off limits for a reason. They
undermine the root of the legend.
When it was just commoners noting Obama doesn't even seem to LIKE this country, no mention made or they were simply dismissed as racists or whatever; a politician with some stature says 'he does not love this country' and the Democrat hacks of the media lose their minds. Because it actually made big news, and he must be destroyed for daring to say it.
Wonder if that slimeball Cuomo will tell her "You should have obeyed the law of the land!" ?
An Irving immigration lawyer was arrested Friday morning on federal fraud charges for allegedly forging visa applications for illegal immigrants she represented, the U.S. attorney’s office said.
Somehow I think he'll find an exception for her.

Your Department of Energy: spending lots of energy to waste your money
Among other bullshit,
Renting the hotel meeting space cost about $15,000, the review says.
'The justification for using a nonfederal facility was because the department's headquarters site was "not conducive to an efficient flow of conversation and development of concepts",' the report says agency officials told the IG's office.
The Department of Energy did not respond to a request for comment about what, exactly, that means.
It means "We didn't have to pay for it ourselves, so we wanted the meeting at a nice hotel. Screw the taxpayers, they'll never find out.
Oops."
Apparently Wisconsin needs to do some cleaning-out of the school system, if this kind of indoctrination is what's happening.
The student was able to answer the questions to Davis's satisfaction. His answers to the last two were, "The Democrat is building, the Republican is destroying" and "Democrats want immigrants to come in and Republicans don't."
