Still so much moisture out there, the dew is so heavy it might as well have rained. So, in the interest of staying dry, some data to work on indoors.

Tried something with the Cadet
and Nagant brass, using the 100-grain SWC bullet. Seems to best way to do this is to flare the case mouth just enough to be able to set the bullet, then use the sizing die to remove the flare and crimp onto the bullet.
It shot well.
It shot well.

Short version: "How dare those bastards tell people what I really want to do!"
Democratic Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill on Wednesday issued a demand for an investigation into the fraud she says Project Veritas committed
in the making of a series of “sting” videos of her re-election campaign.
Oh yeah, that's gonna work. If nothing else: "Ma'am, how can it be a fraud to show you speaking to people?"
Oh yeah, that's gonna work. If nothing else: "Ma'am, how can it be a fraud to show you speaking to people?"
The proper outcome would be for the idiots behind this to pay the penalties
out of their own pockets; now THAT would send a message.
Cochran was suspended for 30 days without pay and told he had to attend "sensitivity training" by the city after writing the 162-page devotional book guiding men on how to be better fathers and husbands. Though an internal investigation from the city revealed that Cochran never discriminated against anyone, he was still terminated from his post.
Can you say 'hypocritical bastard'? I knew you could.
Scott Wallace, the Democratic candidate in Pennsylvania's first district, released an ad late last week that features a man who pleaded guilty to illegal possession and sale of a machine gun.
...
Wallace has made appeals for strict new gun-control laws a centerpiece of his campaign to unseat Republican representative Brian Fitzpatrick. He has attacked the National Rifle Association and called for new gun bans throughout his campaign.
Sweden is governed by idiots.
In a combative exchange at a hearing Friday in Washington, D.C., a federal judge unabashedly accused career State Department officials of lying and signing "clearly false" affidavits to derail a series of lawsuits seeking information about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private email server and her handling of the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
That's nice; now charge the bastards.
Democrat politician decided to play "See, I support Women!" Except without permission from the women to use their names, and also without making sure of what the hell she was putting out. And it's blown up in her face.

This is why I have a label for Dirtbag Academics
A professor. Giving advice like this.
And I'm sure someone will call anyone yelling about this idiocy 'anti-intellectual'

Senator Warren, apparently feeling the heat over the "I'm Native American!" claims
got tested. No wonder she didn't want to meet with the Cherokee who had questions for her.
Warren provided the test results to The Boston Globe on Sunday, the newspaper said, “in an effort to defuse questions about her ancestry that have persisted for years.” The disclosure is another strong sign that she is seriously considering running for president, according to the publication.
“The vast majority” of Warren’s ancestry is European but “the results strongly support the existence of an unadmixed Native American ancestor” six to 10 generations ago, according to Carlos D. Bustamante, a Stanford University professor who analyzed the results.
This means she could be just 1/1,024th Native American if the ancestor is 10 generations back, the Globe said.
'questions about her ancestry' which started because of her claim to be a Woman of Colour, etc.
Yahoo 'News' is spinning this in her favor so hard the whole staff is probably disoriented. With nobody except the true believers buying it.
The Cherokee, in particular, are not happy with this crap:
She is the very model of a socialist politician, isn't she?

"A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship. Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person's ancestors were indigenous to North or South America. Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity to an individual, it is not evidence for tribal affiliation. Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is prove. Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage."And she apparently pirated her 'Cherokee' recipes, too.
- Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin, Jr.
She is the very model of a socialist politician, isn't she?
Zuckerbitch and Twatter strike again,
and they're working together. "It's just the algorithms" my ass.
...What received relatively little attention was the far more ominous step which was taken next: within hours of being purged from Facebook, multiple anti-establishment alternative media sites had their accounts completely removed from Twitter as well.
As of this writing I am aware of three large alternative media outlets which were expelled from both platforms at almost the same time: Anti-Media, the Free Thought Project, and Police the Police, all of whom had millions of followers on Facebook. Both the Editor-in-Chief of Anti-Media and its Chief Creative Officer were also banned by Twitter, and are being kept from having any new accounts on that site as well.
“I unfortunately always felt the day would come when alternative media would be scrubbed from major social media sites,” Anti-Media’s Chief Creative Officer S.M. Gibson said in a statement to me. “Because of that I prepared by having backup accounts years ago. The fact that those accounts, as well as 3 accounts from individuals associated with Anti-Media were banned without warning and without any reason offered by either platform makes me believe this purge was certainly orchestrated by someone. Who that is I have no idea, but this attack on information was much more concise and methodical in silencing truth than most realize or is being reported.”

They call themselves 'Red Guard' and love Mao;
tell me again about how it's overreaction to worry about these assholes?
In
the blog post, the Red Guards of Austin called on the "masses" to
unite under Maoism and establish "a mighty Red Army" to allow
"self-administration of the community under the protection of this army,
forming a new state posed to make war on the old":
This great change does not happen overnight or all at once. It occurs through the course of organized class combat, class against class. The necessity of revolution must be grasped and this matter can no longer be delayed by the clownery imperialist elections. Develop the combined strength of the proletariat, its allied classes, the Party and its Red Army.
The menacing post ended on a revolutionary note:
Boycott the Bourgeois Elections! Elections, no! Revolution, yes! ... The ruling class will rule no more! Revolution, Peoples War!And how's your ammo stash?
Short version: Bunch of pissy PC-brained leftists attack because
"He said things we don't like on his social media! Let's accuse him of racism and sexism and being dangerous and destroy his business!"
In response, he's following the advice of what was probably the favorite politician of the leftists: 'Punch back twice as hard.' And I hope he winds up owning their ass.
Part of the filing:
36. In or about August 2018, a private person designated herein as “Conspirator A,” who Plaintiffs are informed and believe is not an employee or official of the District, was angered by the Commentary. Plaintiffs are currently working to confirm the identity of Conspirator A, and may seek leave of this Court to name him or her as an additional defendant when his or her identity is confirmed.
37. Conspirator A formed a combination with one or more other private persons, who agreed to act in concert to induce public agencies – in particular, the school districts who patronize Riley’s Farm’s field trip business, including the District – to retaliate against Plaintiffs for Mr. Riley’s First Amendment-protected expression. 38.
Subsequently, Defendants O’Connor and Hamlett joined Conspirator A, and/or others, and agreed to inflict a wrong against and/or injury upon Plaintiffs by retaliating against them. Defendants O’Connor and Hamlett committed overt acts in furtherance of a conspiracy to retaliate against Plaintiffs for Mr. Riley’s First Amendment-protected expression by prohibiting teachers at Chaparral and Sumner Danbury Elementary Schools, respectively, from patronizing Riley’s Farm for school field trips.

Another "I'll lie until I get elected" democrat;
anyone surprised?
Despite her strong views on gun control, Senator McCaskill does not tend to promote them on the campaign trail or on her website. Rob Mills, who works on Senator McCaskill’s campaign, says that is “…because she has a bunch of Republican voters.”
Another individual who works on Senator McCaskill campaign, Carson Pope, adds that “…a semi-automatic rifle ban is more so what she would support.”
This is in Missouri, so I'm pretty sure there're at lot of Democrats who wouldn't exactly be wild about this either.
And
According to Mills, Senator McCaskill conceals her support of Moms Demand Action, a gun control group, and other similar organizations because they would “…hurt her ability to get elected.”

Because people like see that and they’re like well I don’t want to support her even though they stand for the same policies…”I repeat: "I'll lie and lie until I get reelected, THEN I'll do all the things I said I wouldn't. Screw the voters who don't like it."
MILLS: “She’s worked out stuff with Mom’s Demand Action to make sure that she can support their goals without supporting the organization openly. And you know, Mom’s Demand Action does the exact same thing. Like a lot of our volunteers are actually from there. She’s really good about strategy and making sure she has a goal and can get there.”
This is something that should've happened a long time ago
President Donald Trump signed the controversial "right-to-try" bill into law on Wednesday, which bypasses drug regulators to give gravely ill patients access to experimental medicines.
The legislation allows patients with life-threatening conditions to ask drugmakers for medicines that have cleared some testing but still haven't been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Previously, patients would need to ask the FDA for access to experimental treatments.
Which was- sometimes- grudgingly given. Screw that. You know the risks, you should be able to give something a try.
Trump wasn't my choice, but damned if he hasn't done some good things.

Widener's has a contest going on;
being the efficient sort I am, I missed it until now. Take a look.

I hadn't thought of this in quite that way,
but this brings a quote from the Dutchman to mind:
Some think Johnson, who is among the highest-paid actors in the world, is not black enough to play a black man in the movies. One wrote, “John Henry was a very dark skin man & yes that matters.” Yet, John Henry is mythological. The skin shade of the “real” John Henry is uncertain; and like all folk tales, many aspects of the story “are subject to debate.”
Other critics say Dwayne Johnson hasn’t proclaimed his blackness enough to qualify as black. One tweet read, “The Rock is black when it's profitable and racially ambiguous when it isn't. We need a proud, strong, all-day black man to play John Henry.”
The quote:
I've said it before and I'll repeat: these collectivist pukes are more race-obsessed than the Nazi Gauleiter of 1930's Lower Swabia.
