Some things before I go outside to take care of a couple of things

Of course the socialists want to give more money to the UN, especially to an agency that will harm Jews for them.

Yes, Biden is still a screaming asshole lying hoplophobe.

Being vaccinated against Covid sharply increased the risk heart attack patients would die or suffer heart failure after heart attacks, a major new peer-reviewed study in leading journal Vaccine shows. Alex Berenson has written about the study on his Substack, Unreported Truths.

Speaking of the NIH, more on how Fauci helps screw the world.

Oh, holy shit...

The owners of NoHo Diagnostic Center are suing the LAPD, the city of Los Angeles and multiple police officers, alleging they violated the business owners’ constitutional rights and demanding an unspecified amount in damages. Officers allegedly raided the diagnostic center, located in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles, thinking it was a front for an illegal cannabis cultivation facility, pointing to higher-than-usual energy use and the “distinct odor” of cannabis plants, according to the lawsuit.

Officers raided the facility on Oct. 18, 2023, and detained the lone female employee while they searched the business, the lawsuit said. However, they didn’t find a single cannabis plant and only saw a typical medical facility with rooms used for conducting x-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRIs, the owners said.
...

At one point, an officer walked into an MRI room, past a sign warning that metal was prohibited inside, with his rifle “dangling… in his right hand, with an unsecured strap,” the lawsuit said. The MRI machine’s magnetic force then allegedly sucked his rifle across the room, pinning it against the machine. MRI machines are tube-shaped scanners that use incredibly strong magnetic fields to create images of the brain, bones, joints and other internal organs.

An officer then allegedly pulled a sealed emergency release button that shut the MRI machine down, deactivating it, evaporating thousands of liters of helium gas and damaging the machine in the process. The officer then grabbed his rifle and left the room, leaving behind a magazine filled with bullets on the office floor, according to the lawsuit.
I am informed that, besides any damage done by the rifle impacting the machine, dumping the helium that way can cause very expensive and permanent damage.  I'd hope at least some of it comes out of the pockets of these idiot Drug Warriors.
'Higher than usual energy use'...

"I don't want to ban assault weapons anymore,

until I'm President.  And ATF will work things for me."

Why would I be surprised that both of them are stonewalling on anything and everything that might hurt her election chances and their 'We want to make law without the trouble of going through Congresss' crap?

Ah, the things Harris & Co. desperately want to make go away,

at least until after the election.
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris once threatened to use databases of gun owners to send police to their homes to confiscate firearms.

A press release from so-called Everytown for Gun Safety purports to explain what “Freedom from Gun Violence” would look like under a Kamala Harris presidency. What it really does, however, is list numerous reasons why no gun owner should even consider voting for the current vice president on Election Day.

Which, I'm sure, will somehow conveniently involve trying to shut up people saying unapproved things about Harris.

Who, I'll note, is busily having drones tell everyone that she no longer wants to confiscate guns, ban whatever she decides is an 'assault weapon', ban fracking, and a bunch of other things that turn out to be VERY unpopular in a number of swing state.

A bit of a roundup, because there's a lot going on

The media fix is in:
– Axios deletes calling Harris the border czar
– GovTrack deletes calling Harris the most liberal Senator
– Harris was a shining example of DEI; now calling her a “DEI candidate” is false and racist

The last included some D politician blowing up that calling her a DEI hire is 'the N word', etc.

This is a whole collection of media weenies insisting "Harris was never the Border Czar", with lots of media weenies in the past saying she was exactly that.
Yes, it's on X, don't have to have an account or sign in to watch it.

A bunch of protesters decide to protest Netanyahu speaking by burning US flags and flying Palestinian ones.

The bastards did this, too:

How many are foreign citizens?  And why are they not being deported after this?

And last,
Last week, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee James Comer (R-Ky.) fired off a letter in response to the White House’s political gamesmanship. In short, Chairman Comer demanded that Stefanie Feldman, the Director of the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, quit stalling and provide answers over “potential collaboration” between Biden administration officials and Everytown for Gun Safety.
If this goes as usual, this will produce squat.  In large part because Congress overall doesn't have the balls to say "You received a subpoena and ignored it/lied under oath, and you're being charged for it", let alone actually carrying it out.
Short version: Chicago and the usual suspects want to charge Glock with not making it harder for crooks to convert pistols to machine pistols, and Biden/Harris & Co. are all about screwing gun companies for any reason possible.

Part of the problem in dealing with anti-gun types is they don't know what they're talking about,

but they're absolutely sure they do.  For instance, here's a highly-ranked law professor from Harvard who doesn't know what the NFA actually did:
The 1934 Firearms Act bans civilian ownership of a “machine gun,” defined as a weapon that can fire “automatically more than one shot, without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger.”
As various people correct him, it didn't ban them, it did make them much more expensive and troublesome to own. And he fails to understand that with a bump stock the trigger still has to be depressed for each shot.  Schooled on that, too.
https://twitchy.com/chad-felix-greene/2024/06/15/completely-inaccurate-and-ignorant-dana-loesch-schools-harvard-professor-on-what-guns-are-n2397321

Second current example is this:

Gaze upon this "I KNOW HISTORY!" from someone who apparently knows nothing of the subject she's lecturing about.

How do you reason with them?

Helluva doorstop

When you find out that doorstop really is a meteorite, and worth some serious cash.

Dishonest 'reporting': it's what CNN does.

Started with 'Let's ban guns'
That didn't work, so it became 'Let's ban handguns'
That became 'Let's ban assault weapons'
That became 'We just want common-sense gun safety laws(that won't let you own a gun)'
Gov. Hairgel now has 'Gun safety freedoms'.

Judge holds three of the antifa who attacked Andy Ngo have to cough up money.  They'll have a hell of a time getting them to actually do it, but they were held responsible.  For what that's worth.

It's always in the last place you look.

Yet not a one of them was used in a crime.
And I'm seeing a lot of fired cases being described as 'ammunition'.

ANYTHING that makes owning firearms look bad, they'll push,

no matter how much bullshit is involved.
Gun-related deaths among children in the U.S. reached a distressing peak in 2021, claiming 4,752 young lives and surpassing the record total seen during the first year of the pandemic, a new analysis of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data found.

The alarming statistic clearly indicated that America’s gun violence epidemic has gotten worse, experts say.

Uh huh. Now we have
More than 80% of the gun deaths were among males 19 and younger. Black male children were more likely to die from homicide. White males 19 and younger were more likely to kill themselves with guns.
First, I wonder how high they'll go to count teenagers as 'children'? And how many of those deaths are among or because of gangbangers?

..."The most likely reason that your child will die in this country is at the hands of a firearm. That’s not acceptable.”
Please, someone ask him how 'at the hands of a firearm' works.  And point out that the 'most likely reason' crap has been disproved.

Black children continue to be disproportionately affected. Gee, I wonder why? Could that 'defund the police, we don't want them in these neighborhoods' stuff mayhap have anything to do with it"

And on, and on.  Same kind of stuff they've been pushing for years.  Including this:
“Although we can say this is an issue that might not affect everybody, it really does,” he said. “If you look at the spikes in gun injuries, it’s hitting all communities. It doesn’t matter where you live.”
Bullshit.  If it doesn't matter where you live, there wouldn't be those disproportionate deaths in black communities.  And there wouldn't be so much upset from the idiot activists about the idea of getting more cops in the most troubled places and letting them ACTUALLY DO THE JOB, and prosecutors ACTUALLY PUTTING VIOLENT CRIMINALS IN JAIL.

Nice when one of them says the quiet part out loud

As we wrap our interview in her office, I ask how she keeps coming back to a challenge so deeply ingrained in politics. She pauses for 12 pregnant seconds.

“No more guns,” she says.

Ambler, her aide and adviser, tries to clarify that she means no more gun violence, but Giffords is clear about what she’s saying. “No, no, no,” she says. “Lord, no.” She pauses another 32 seconds. “Guns, guns, guns. No more guns. Gone.”

In case you had any doubt.

They're now claiming she meant 'like Australia'.  Which means "We'll confiscate your property, and we'll pay you peasants a little money so you won't feel as bad about it, but if you argue about following orders, peasant, we'll imprison or kill you."
Isn't that just so much better?

Leftists and other anti-rights clowns just love them some Jim Crow laws,

as long as they're used to attack gun ownership.
There you have it, folks: An NAACP leader opposing the repeal of Jim Crow laws under the logic that everything is a Jim Crow law. I’ll give him the NC Constitution (and particularly its literacy test requirement), but the U.S. Constitution was ratified in 1788, roughly 89 years before the Jim Crow era. If he doesn’t know what a Jim Crow law is, perhaps Mr. Givens should read this article.

Such wonderful people, aren't they?

Also: yes, marxism has a history of being built on bodies, including those of the useful idiots.

It's nice to see New York being told "This crap doesn't cut it."

Not as fully as I'd like, but still a step.
..."In essence," Suddaby says, "New York State has replaced its requirement that an applicant show a special need for self-protection with its requirement that the applicant rebut the presumption that he or she is a danger to himself or herself, while retaining (and even expanding) the open-ended discretion afforded to its licensing officers. Simply stated, instead of moving toward becoming a shall-issue jurisdiction, New York State has further entrenched itself as a shall-not-issue jurisdiction."

Suddaby's TRO also applies to New York's requirement that applicants supply information about their social media accounts so that licensing officials can decide whether they have said anything suggesting they lack "good moral character." As the gun owners who challenged the new regulations saw it, that demand violated the right to freedom of speech as well as the right to bear arms, making the latter contingent on how applicants have exercised the former.

Suddaby also blocked enforcement of New York's requirement that carry-permit applicants meet in person with licensing officials for an interview, saying "the Court finds that no such circumstances exist under which this provision would be valid." He likewise said the state had failed to justify its demand for the "names and contact information for the applicant's current spouse, or domestic partner, any other adults residing in the applicant's home, including any adult children of the applicant, and whether or not there are minors residing, full time or part time, in the applicant's home." Suddaby deemed that requirement "far more invasive and onerous" than the requirement that an applicant supply four character references, which he let stand.

Gee, hurriedly-written and rushed-through virtue signaling laws tend to have downsides

Who could've imagined?
But there’s a problem this year. State Assemblyman D. Billy Jones, a Democrat representing the 115th district, says New York’s new gun law specifically prohibits all those activities. …

“The new law the way it’s written reenactors are not allowed to carry a firearm, a musket loading type rifle, black powder rifle, flintlock rifle, whatever because it’s in violation of the new law. The new gun law of New York state has claimed its first casualty: the Battle of Plattsburgh. It’s the first event happening after the new law went into effect on the 1st. There’s nothing in the law that let’s an exemption happen or a waiver happen for an event in a historical significance like we have here in Plattsburgh. We have over 70 reenactors that were coming to this event. Very disappointing.”
...
In a written statement, a spokesperson for the governor says:
“Governor Hochul passed new public safety laws to protect New Yorkers and keep them safe from gun violence. These laws allow historical re-enactments to occur, and we will work with legislators and local law enforcement to ensure these events can legally and safely proceed.”

But Assemblyman Jones said he has been trying to get a response from the governor’s office for days.

Because she doesn't give a crap.  She's shown she 'cares', and that's all that counts.

Notice that wording, 'we'll work to make sure they can legally proceed'; if your idiot law said it was legal you wouldn't have to work to make it so.

From that dickhead Nadler on the current "Ban all the things!" crap:

“The problem is that they’re in common use.”
and
Which, of course, extends to something else: Credibility. Nadler just confirmed what we have told our fellow Americans for years: They are coming for our guns. He openly admits it. Because that threat is credible, we don’t look crazy – and efforts by anti-Second Amendment extremists to make us look crazy will fail.
They'll still say it, but it's in the open now.

And the Bruen decision marches on

Since Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas made crystal clear in his ruling in New York Pistol and Rifle v. Bruen that the Second Amendment is not a second-class civil right, the question becomes: how far does this decision go? After consulting several gun and constitutional lawyers, here’s the short answer: very far. Read on.
A bunch of politicians have already admitted they're passing laws they know are unconstitutional to try and get around this decisioin(which they can't) and/or try to delay it as much as possible.  It's going to take a while.

More ref some of the .gov and state creatures, and media enablers

They have an opening for another creature in the swamp.

Translation: "You people aren't showing up voluntarily for us to crap on and blame for all ills, so we'll give you a subpoena!"It's Huffing Post, so if you don't want to give them a click,
The House Committee on Oversight and Reform subpoenaed firearm manufacturer Smith & Wesson on Tuesday after it refused to provide the panel with information about its revenue and business tactics.
 ...
(notice the not-exactly-neutral wording)
Two of the other gun manufacturers at the center of the investigation also failed to meet the committee’s demands and may be subject to subpoenas. Sig Sauer, which produced the assault rifles used in the two deadliest mass shootings in American history, refused to provide any sales data, revealing only that AR-15-style rifles make up around 3% of its total revenue. Bushmaster, another major gun manufacturer, only provided sales data from 2021.

Damn, I think I like this man.  Probably make a good President if he could be convinced to run.

If the asshats running the Senate were honorable, and not trying to sneak crap in,

why would they do this?
As the Senate passed a gun control bill this week with fifteen Republicans siding with Democrats, Senator Rand Paul noted that no one had time to even read the legislation because it was “assembled in secret.”

“Unfortunately, this legislation was assembled as many are — in secret, absent well-placed leaks to journalists,” Paul tweeted, adding “There doesn’t appear to be a willingness or time provided to read, understand, debate or amend this bill.”
...
In a further interview Paul noted “They didn’t even give us the actual bill to vote on it. They gave us a blank piece of paper and said, ‘Vote on this and trust us as to what the legislation will be when it comes forward and trust that there’ll be an actual amendment process.'”

Lying, corrupt, anti-rights hacks.

Thursday, June 23, 2022

To the surprise of no one, this idiot* gun control bill

is crap, it won't make anybody safer, it pushes 'Red Flag' laws with no definitions, restrictions, or punishments for people who knowingly make false accusations, and there's a lot of fuzz in this pile of words to make it really dangerous to honest people.

As expected.

Yell at the congresscritters in the House, and yell at the Senate as well.  The chickenshit R's who're leaving office won't listen, the others just might.  Even if yours is a D, it can't hurt.

*Yes, I know, they're all idiotic

Friday, June 10, 2022

Somebody watched 'The View' so we didn't have to suffer through it, and these people

are more disconnected and stupid than I realized.  Behar actually thought black people don't/aren't allowed to own guns...

And a lot of their audience probably believed it as well.  And these morons vote.

Sunday, June 05, 2022

It should be noted that, like every time a bunch of screeching politicians say things like

"...your 'Constitutional rights shit!" and "We're going to ban everything we can!", and try calling it 'common-sense gun safety laws', the same thing happens again:
More people buy a gun. And ammo. And take a class.

Every Damned Time.

Because when the cops have been told to let rioters riot, and when a bunch of prosecutors and mayors and city councils won't even prosecute people who attempt mass murder by arson, and some cops won't even do the job when protecting children is needed, the lesson given is simple:
You Are On Your Own.

And screeching "It's for the CHILDREN!" doesn't change that.
