Speaking of hypocritical bastards,
Rifles carried by Spokane police on patrol will soon be equipped with
suppressors, a move the department says will protect officers and civilians from hearing damage.*
“It’s nothing more than like the muffler you put on your car,” said Lt. Rob Boothe, the range master and lead firearms instructor for the department.
True, every word. Yet the same people who signed off on this 'to protect hearing' will crap bricks at the idea of plain old citizens having them.
*ignore the 'civilians' crap for now

A bunch of people were thrilled when Trump was addressing the UN
and a bunch of the assembled kleptocrats, dictators, and representatives of dictators laughed.
Slight problem: to a helluva lot of people, having the UN as an enemy is a mark of doing good stuff. Because the people they like...
“The President's triumphant moment was marred in the first minute when he was met by laughter – at his expense,” the Post continued.
Oh, how dreadful. Imagine being mocked by the UN. If only Trump was the sort of person the UN admired. Like, for example, Uganda’s psychotic Idi Amin, whose 1975 speech at the UN denouncing the “Zionist-US conspiracy" was met with a standing ovation.
Following that charming occasion, then-UN Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim held a public dinner in Amin's honour. Hopefully there were more people at the tables than on the plates.

My, such nice people these 'feminists' hang with,
and defend.
Of course, they're picky about who gets to be a victim.
Hillary Clinton insisted that the sexual-assault allegations against her husband are nothing like the accusations that have been levied against Brett Kavanaugh — suggesting that Bill’s accusers are not examples of victims who must be believed as part of the #MeToo movement.
“There’s a very significant difference,” Clinton told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour. “And that is the intense, long-lasting partisan investigation that was conducted in the 90s.”
You want to talk partisan, Clinton? See 'Kavanaugh'.
Another difference: the allegations against Clinton were true, so they tried to destroy the women. Which effort Hillary was in charge of.

I wonder if these idiots realize they're basically saying
"We want bridges and buildings to fall, medicines to not work, and you to die in the name of Social Justice!" ?
Three Canadian professors recently penned an editorial in an influential academic journal arguing that teaching students STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) helps perpetuate “patriarchy,” “heteronormativity,” and other social ills.
...
STEM education practices — such as the traditional way of teaching math — produce “patriarchy, heteronormativity, white supremacy, Eurocentrism, (neo-)colonialism, able-ism, classism, labor inequity, anthropocentrism, and/or others,” the professors claim.
And they want to run the world...

A 'a Bernie Sanders-type candidate' opens his yap
and gets a proper response:
I'm a West Point grad & Iraq vet w/ 2 masters
My dad: Vietnam vet & entrepreneur
His dad: mason
His dad: sharecropper
His dad: slave.
Mooching? My family never asked for free stuff, just a fair shot. We can't allow the American Dream to be crushed by you,

Three things about this crap:
First, the cops are as useless as those in Portland.
Second, sooner or later- even in Canada- someone is going to respond to such an attack with effective self-defense.
Third, the asshats will scream "I'M A VICTIM OF RIGHT-WING VIOLENCE!", and the cops will arrest the poor bastard the leftist attacked.
I know the leftists love to be able to call themselves victims, but I wonder if the realize just how this crap is likely to backfire on them in the long run? Because if people decide(with evidence) that the cops and government won't protect them...

"It's not racist when WE say it"
This. Is. CNN.
Same line for a lot of crap the left does: if someone on the center or right said anything CLOSE to this, these same people would crap their pants in outrage.
Of course, they're real picky about who they'll attack for actions toward women as well. Because "That's different!" or something.
On a different subject we have apologists for the BATFEIEIO, and a bunch of bitching agents: "Stop blaming us for what we've done!" is the basic line of it.
Some other LE bullshit:
According to the Detroit News, Officer Bradley Clark and Sgt. Paul Glaza were charged Friday in 36th District Court with second-degree home invasion, misconduct in office, malicious destruction of property under $200, and entering without a homeowner’s permission in connection with the alleged incident Jan. 22.
“It is alleged that (the officers) were part of the burglary task force, and entered a home without a search warrant at 22550 block of Pembroke,” Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor Maria Miller said in a statement. “They also did not have an arrest warrant for the person they were searching for, who was not in the house. They instead detained and arrested the homeowner.”
Chances of them actually facing jail time, or a serious fine: probably about zero. It IS encouraging they're actually being charged. It'll probably take a lawsuit against the department(probably a judge will say "Qualified Immunity" to protect the officers) to get his costs covered.
But what will the department care? It's other people's money.

Some very important lines:
He said Mr. Cosko was “caught in the act” of breaking into the office of Sen. Maggie Hassan, a New Hampshire Democrat for whom he had worked until being ousted earlier this year. Mr. Ahn said Mr. Cosko had served as a tech staffer with administrative rights in Ms. Hassan’s office, suggesting he had access to more sensitive information. And he had a graduate degree in information technology.
And this:
Mr. Cosko had been working for Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, Texas Democrat, at the time of the doxing, and the government says he used his official login for at least one of his leaks of information.
Ms. Jackson Lee’s office has not responded to multiple inquiries from The Washington Times, though her staff has told Texas newspapers she has fired Mr. Cosko.
Sure. After he got caught.
And if you think who he was working for had nothing to do with his actions...

From that right-wing news source, The Hill:
Which raises the question of what the real reason was that it was
hidden from public view. I think the answer can be found in an earlier
set of documents that DOJ and FBI fought hard to keep secret — the text
messages of those FBI love-birds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. What we learned from their messages was that the investigation was a whole lot more about politics and and a whole lot less about verified intelligence.
There is now a concrete storyline backed by irrefutable evidence: The FBI allowed itself to take political opposition research created by one party to defeat another in an election, treated it like actionable intelligence, presented it to the court as substantiated, and then used it to justify spying on an adviser for the campaign of that party's duly chosen nominee for president in the final days of a presidential election.
And when, nine months later, the FBI could not prove the allegation of collusion between Trump and Russia, unverified evidence was leaked to the media to try to sustain public support for a continued investigation.
That means the redaction of Footnote 43 had more to do with political embarrassment than with national security. And that should concern us all.
It should EVERYONE; it won't. Because a bunch of idiots don't care as long as they think it'll help attack Trump. Or someone else on the right(which is sometimes "to the right of Stalin")

Further reason to tell the UN to get the hell out of our country
Behind all the pompous critiques, was the knowledge that they could not control their weapons, let alone ours. UN peacekeepers themselves
are/were fueling the local Black Markets with firearms diverted from UN
stockpiles. This is an important point that is rarely brought to light.
The ATT proponent’s failures are massive. It became so apparent to so many that the lie could no longer be covered up. The diversion of weapons, including real assault rifles, pistols, armored vehicles, grenade launchers, and heavy mortars, among other things, became such a routine occurrence that there was no other choice but for them to fully and openly disclose the fact.
Remember, these are the people some Democrats and other socialists want to come into the US to 'save' us.
I guess they like the idea of the gangs winding up with mortars.

This is the same kind of crap that got the CDC a whack on the pee-pee before,
on their biased 'gun violence research'. And they're still doing it.
Over a dozen public health researchers reviewed The Trace and FiveThirtyEight’s analysis and said that the inaccuracy of the CDC gun injury data has serious implications for the national-level understanding of gun violence.
“No one should trust the CDC’s nonfatal firearm injury point estimates,” said David Hemenway, director of the Harvard Injury Control Research Center.
But many researchers have trusted these numbers, or at least referenced them. Since 2010, at least 50 academic articles have cited the CDC’s gun injury estimates. Last year, for example, the American Journal of Epidemiology published a paper that used CDC data to conclude that there was a “hidden epidemic of firearm injury.”
“For those of us who are doing this kind of research, it’s disconcerting,” said Priscillia Hunt, a researcher at the RAND Corporation, a nonprofit research organization. “With the CDC, there’s this general assumption that they are reliable and have good data.”
Seems that trusting the CDC on anything that has a political aspect is not a good idea. Especially if it touches on firearms.

Those 'Believe The Victim!' people are awfully picky about what victims they believe
The head of the House Democrats' re-election campaign and several
Congressional Hispanic Caucus members have continued to appear at fundraising events with Rep. Tony Cardenas (D., Calif.) months after a lawsuit was filed alleging that he drugged and molested a 16-year-old girl in 2007.
Some of the same Democrats over the last two weeks have continued to criticize Republican handling of the sexual misconduct allegations against Brett Kavanaugh while remaining silent on the charges Cardenas is facing.
They've also been quite open about crapping on the accusers of Keith Ellison and some others. I guess because "That's different!"

A: the mayor of Portland is, at best, an idiot
B: The cops are completely useless.
C: These assholes are now threatening to attack the old man at his home for daring to disobey their orders. I hope he has something suitable for self-defense, because he's likely to need it(see 'useless cops' above).
D: These clowns are coming damn close to full-out insurrection. And when they get over that edge it's going to get very nasty.

Some more .310 messing around
Somewhere, a mention was seen about using 7.62 Nagant(7.62x38r, if you want to be precise) in the .310 Cadet. So some brass was dug out(what, you don't have all kinds of crap in corners somewhere?), and trimmed to length.
It chambered with no problem. The walls on these(Prvi) is thicker than the walls of the .32-20 cases used previously, so probably gives a bit more pressure due to less space inside. They were loaded with 7.0 of 2400 and the RCBS bullet.
Shot just fine. One interesting thing, though: the modified .32-20 cases, when fireformed, lose anywhere from .005 to .010" in length; these- I'm guessing because of the thicker walls- stayed the same length.

Speaking of leftist dirtbags,
According to the Tennessee Star, "[w]hile [Lee] claims Cosko was an 'unpaid intern' in her office, the Washington Post reports that Cosko was actually a 'fellow.' This was confirmed by Cosko’s lawyer, who said his client was a 'fellow' in Jackson-Lee’s office and that he was being paid by an 'outside institution.'"
The "outside institution" has yet to be named, but the position of "fellow" is much different from that of "intern." According to correspondence from Lee's office, Cosko was routinely trusted to advise Lee and communicate with other members of Congress, specifically those co-sponsoring Lee's bills.
Makes you wonder what all else he was illegally digging through the data systems for? Which brings me to this:
Like, say, maybe a fellow in Sheila Jackson Lee's office(and some of the other Democrat politicians he worked for)?

Some of these people are openly insane:
But perhaps no incident better expressed the protesters' tenuous hold on
sanity than a demonstration at the Supreme Court, where protesters —
mostly women — broke through a police line and barged to the Court's
chamber, where they proceeded to wail, gnash teeth, and pound at the doors while Kavanaugh was being sworn in inside.
While others cloak it in the mantle of academic language:
These women are gender traitors, to borrow a term from the dystopian TV series “The Handmaid’s Tale.” They’ve made standing by the patriarchy a full-time job. The women who support them show up at the Capitol wearing “Women for Kavanaugh” T-shirts, but also probably tell their daughters to put on less revealing clothes when they go out.
...
But the people who scare me the most are the mothers, sisters and wives of those young men, because my stupid uterus still holds out some insane hope of solidarity.
"You have a uterus too! If you don't think like I do, you're a TRAITOR!" Same level of stupid(and racist and bigoted) as "You're black/brown/yellow/red/gay, and if you don't think the way we say you should, you're a TRAITOR!"
But it's what the leftists do.
