Because protecting your employees is far less important
than- well, whateverthehell these idiots are wanting.
I'm amazed at the number of people who want the .gov they don't actually trust to control the web because 'neutrality'. Like they think the .gov run by Literally Hitler could be trusted to be neutral.
This kind of crap is why so many don't trust cops anymore; theft under color of law is still theft.
Ok, folks, something of an apology: hasn't been that much worth reading here lately. A bit of running 'round in circles here, and I need to deal with it.
Hopefully more interesting gunny-tool stuff here in the future. In the meantime,

"US healthcare sucks, the Brit NHS is marvelous, except for one problem:
The only serious black mark against the NHS was its poor record on keeping people alive. On a composite "healthy lives" score, which
includes deaths among infants and patients who would have survived had
they received timely and effective healthcare, the UK came 10th.
For which(of course) there are excuses. Let's say I'm suspicious of these findings.
From the halls of Congress,
From 1997 to 2017, the Office of Compliance awarded 268 settlements totaling $17.2 million stemming from sexual harassment complaints and other workplace violations, including provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
And they don't want to tell us who was involved. Which is as much bullshit as this "Use taxpayer money to pay off the people making complaints."
They're using our money, we damned well should know their names.

"Shut up, racism is good when we do it."
Until then, however, Martinez offers one final message for white people.
“Remember this: I hate you because you shouldn’t exist,” he concludes. “You are both the dominant apparatus on the planet and the void in which all other cultures, upon meeting you, die.”
Wonderful little bastard, isn't he?
When the criticism hit, the editor of the school paper played "You just don't understand what he meant":
While he acknowledged that the op-ed had generated “widespread criticism” from readers, including “many expressing that they find the author’s ideas to be racist,” Cervantes sought to portray the matter as a misunderstanding.
“The original intent of the column was to comment on the idea of race and racial identities. We acknowledge that the column could have been clearer in its message and that it has caused hurt within our campus community,” the editor’s note concluded. “We apologize and hope that we can move forward to a place of productive dialogue on ways to bring our community together.”
Ms. Cervantes, you're full of shit; when someone says things like
Your DNA is an abomination
and the statement I opened this post with, he was telling us exactly what he thinks, and what he wants. It's kind of hard to 'move forward to a place of productive dialogue' with a racist clown like Martinez, and you trying to cover for him doesn't help.

Obviously this is unpossible; Globular Warmering
would not allow it.
Britain faces a three week chill with temperatures set to drop to -12C, and experts warning the freeze could claim 40,000 lives.
Forecasters believe we're facing the coldest December since 2010's Big Freeze, which saw transport networks grind to a halt as snow caused chaos across the country.
...
It is feared colder-than-usual weather will kill close to 40,000 Brits this winter, after 34,000 excess winter deaths were recorded in the mild winter a year ago.
Winter’s average cold weather death toll is 25,000.
So last year '34,000 excess deaths', that means 9,000 more than the average. This time they're worried about 15,000 more.
Remember a few years ago when the Climate Change believers in Britain were saying "Your grandchildren will only see snow in pictures because of Global Warming!" ?

So, guess what the cretins in DC want to shove through now?
The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence has marked up the FISA Amendments Reauthorization Act, S. 2010. The bill, sponsored by Chairman
Richard Burr (R-N.C.) is actually worse than existing law. It
explicitly allows the attorney general to use [electronic
communications] information collected under Section 702 for domestic
crimes that have nothing to do with national security and forbids
judicial review of that decision.
This is bullshit. From a clapped-out bull. And Burr needs to be voted out of that office for pushing this. For that matter, every clown who votes for it needs to go.
