Saturday,

The weather has improved quite a bit, and I've got water back in the house(in a good way), so here's something to deal with the late-night need to do some examination of interesting things.

Damn, these people are bigoted idiots.

“When things are serious, things need to be taken seriously — instead of just being a sheep. You got to look out for your tribe,” Michael Landry, one of the thread’s posters, told The Washington Post. Additionally, Landry told The Post that he and other Adams Morgan residents have remained “vigilant” in recent months, keeping an eye open for out-of-town license plates, bumper stickers conveying conservative messages, and people who aren’t wearing masks.

When faced with the reality of having accused an innocent working man of domestic terrorism, Landry told The Washington Post “I’m actually kind of ashamed of some of the things I said — but I stand my ground on everything I said.”

Effing idiots.

I would like to know how this position was created and this racist asshole hired

in the first place. Talk about schools being child abuse...
A public school system in New York has introduced a new curriculum to teach that 'all white people play a part in perpetuating systemic racism', and show kindergarten classes videos of black children shot and killed by police, instructing them about the dangers of police brutality.

Buffalo's schools are expected to follow lesson plans devised by Fatima Morrell, the associate superintendent for Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Initiatives.

Morrell's lesson plans, obtained by City Journal, teach pupils and their teachers how to be, in her words, more 'woke.'
You really need to read the rest of it.  And if the parents in that area know about this and haven't done something to stop it, then they're not worth their kids.

Why people hate the BATFEIEIO so badly

[The ATF] showed up in late August and said basically, “Hey, it’s a machine gun, we’ve deemed it a machine gun.” I said, “What? When did this happen?”

They’re like, “Well we just deemed it a machine gun.”

I was like, “Ok, well where is my paperwork?”

“We don’t have any paperwork.”

“What do you mean you don’t have any paperwork? Is there, like, a report?”

“There is a report, but you can’t have it.”

“Wait a minute, you’re telling me it’s a machine gun, and there’s a report, but I can’t have the report.”

“You would have to go to court in order to get this report.”

Etc.  Such a level of bullshit is amazing.

They're apparently counting on saying 'Ignorance of the law is no excuse', except when you make a POINT of not telling people about a 'law' you created out of thin air, that doesn't(damn well shouldn't) work.

Of course, considering what a crapshow an awful lot of courts are anymore, you can't count on it.

Another fine demonstration of why our media is not to be trusted

to give you all the data. See what you can find missing amongst all the ' an incident in July in which a pickup truck pulling a horse trailer drove through Black Lives Matter protesters on Interstate 244 in Tulsa' and 'a 29-year-old man was dragged to his death beneath a tractor-trailer that drove into a sign-carrying group on a road' stuff.

That's right, no mention of 'protesters' trying to break widows to get to the driver and passengers. Often armed 'protesters'. Which you would think is rather important to the story. Because that part they don't want to you to hear about.

Political operatives with bylines.  Nothing more.

Definite lack of enthusiasm on my part

on blogging.  Combination of family in the hospital, no water, no plumber available for another couple of days(this storm was bloody awful), and generally worn out.  So today is probably just going to be some 'toon clearing
