And now, on this cloudy and cool sixth evening,

let us observe some very nice sights

Hey, remember that mass shooting in Vegas which was all "We may never understand

his motive." ?
So what happened in Las Vegas?

Former FBI special agent John Guandolo told Turning Point USA in a recorded interview (below) that there’s a 90% certainty that the Las Vegas attack was a jihadi operation and Stephen Paddock was the conduit through which the terrorist organization attacked America.
...
In the interview, Guandolo said, “When you look at what actually transpired and put it together from a counter-espionage attack and counter-espionage look, the probability that was an ISIS attack is well over 90%.”

He said the special agent in charge of the Las Vegas FBI field office “got angry and dismissed it, and when presented with the information, FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C., dismissed it out of hand.”

There's more.  And would it surprise you in the least?

The Sherlock series the Brits made:

First season, quite good.  Second, so-so.  Third sucked.

Spoiler alert if you haven't seen the movie:
That first Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes, really liked.  The second, 'Game of Shadows', was doing ok, although way too much 'bad guy shoots up everything in sight to get Watson', and then...

Scene where Holmes, having been tortured, is saved by Watson, and there's a long scene of the good guys fleeing which is really screwed by
Too much slow motion crap,
Too much BS involving artillery,
Yeah, after the upper right chest trauma from the torture Holmes is going to be able to run and fight like that.  Sure,
And by the end of that scene I'm going to have to make myself watch the rest of it instead of just enjoying it; they really went over my 'suspension of disbelief' line.

Dammit.

How you know you're approaching a certain age:

Everybody and their grandma is sending you stuff on "You'll need to join Medicare!  Do it through us!"

On the Widener's blog they did an experiment

with shooting deadbolt locks.  Interesting results.
