We now move on to this regular part of the blog,
which is a lot more relaxing than reading about how some abusers of science and lying bastard politicians are trying to scare everyone into obedience.
If I remember right, when the Atlantic Conveyor stopped,
there were no cars SUVs, aircraft, nor millions of buffalo or cattle farting into the atmosphere; it was from a truly, unimaginably huge glacial outburst flood that put all that cold fresh water into the North Atlantic in a very short time.
And unless someone is hiding such a lake and ice dam, I do think that the catastrophists are, once again, full of shit.
The new study claims to have shown that AMOC is “on route to tipping”, a prospect that the authors say is “bad news for the climate system and humanity”.
However British scientists warned that the outcome had been “forced” by using unlikely variables, such as assuming large influxes of freshwater into the Atlantic.
Prof Jonathan Bamber, director of the Bristol Glaciology Centre at Bristol University, said: “They did this by imposing a huge freshwater forcing to the North Atlantic that is entirely unrealistic for even the most extreme warming scenario over the next century.
“Their freshwater forcing applied to the North Atlantic is equivalent to six cm/year of sea level rise by the end of the experiment, which is more than seen during the collapse of the ice sheet that covered North America during the last glaciation.”

We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory. Based on our direct interactions with and observations of him, he is someone for whom many jurors will want to identify reasonable doubt. It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him—by then a former president well into his eighties—of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.

On both occasions she informed her superiors, but no action was taken against her abusers.
Instead, her employer – the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), since merged with the Fred Hutchison Cancer Center (FHCC) – required Ms. Weitzman to endure “remedial” courses in racial sensitivity and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) at which her experiences with antisemitism were discounted and her political views denounced.
She says the message she got at the courses was that a) though she was Jewish, she “could pass” as white, so she could not have experienced discrimination; and b) she could not understand the history of racial discrimination.
Course moderators disparaged her opinions.
To add insult to injury, in February 2021, she was fired despite five years of service during which she received several favorable performance reviews – one said she was a “wonderful addition to the SCCA social work team” – and a 23% raise.
Reason: her “ethnic sensitivity” and core values did not align with those of the SCCA and her supervisor could not work with her to address these issues.
I hope she gets both ears and the tail in the lawsuit. At the least.

Why am I not surprised?
As Reps. Jamaal Bowman (D., N.Y.) and Cori Bush (D., Mo.) face difficult primary challenges, the progressive lawmakers are teaming up—by holding a swanky joint fundraiser alongside anti-Israel activists who have endorsed Hamas terrorism and defended notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan.
It's just bloody amazing how these clowns team up. BLM wants to be free to riot, burn, and steal without criticism or worries about being stopped, let alone jailed, and the Squat would love to help. And they all hate Jews for some damned reason. And they all hate the US, ignoring that if they tried this crap in most other places they'd have been in cells a long time ago.

The Stupid Party is really living up to its name
My two Senators kept insisting the 'border deal' is a great deal: "It'll close the border! It'll get money for more INS people to do that!" Etc.
Lankford kept insisting "Wait until the actual bill is out, you'll see how good it is!" Mullin basically pushed the same thing.
Bill comes out. Lankford still insists, last I heard, "It's basically a good bill except for some of the things the Evil Party threw in!", even as people are saying "You signed onto and helped write this piece of shit?"
I'd written to Mullin basically saying the same thing I'd said to Lankford: "You actually thought this mess was a good idea? Did they lie to you, roll you, or did we just make a big mistake electing you?" That elicited a mass email saying "I will always work hard on matters that are of concern to you." NO mention of that idiot bill, no "I screwed up/made a mistake/trusted people I shouldn't have", just "Please let this go away."
And then the Stupid Party couldn't even get all its members in the House to vote to impeach Mayorkas("The border is secure, no matter how many illegal aliens and terrorists are getting through it!").

Actually made it to the outdoor range for a while,
and tried the 7.62x39 subsonics at 50 yards. Remember these were about 1.5 inch low at 30 yards from the supersonic zero,

I did try a couple at 100 yards, but took a few to figure out elevation, had to aim about 15" above the center, using the crossbar of the target stand as the aiming point, that put it about 2-3 inches below the center aim point. This scope doesn't have the stadia lines like I have on a different scope.

Now Murphy admits that this power merely to "funnel" illegals to ports of entry is only usable a "limited number of days per year."
This allows for a more a more orderly, humane asylum processing system.

Not another bleep-damned word about 'Only public schools with Professional Teachers
can properly educate children!'
A Bay Area Elementary School has spent $250,000 on a 'Woke Kindergarten' program only to see its student's literacy and numeracy rates plunge.
The 'Woke Kindergarten' program states its mission as an 'abolitionist early learning ecosystem' that trains teachers to uproot white supremacy, disrupt racism and oppression which are barriers to learning.
After spending the federal money on the program Glassbrook Elementary in Hayward saw numeracy among its 474 students fall to a new low of just 4 percent and literacy just 12 percent.
And now the 'WHAT?'
The scores, recorded last Spring two years into Woke Kindergarten's three-year contract, represent a 4 percentage decline in each category.
So the school's results were crap to start with, and they took the level lower.
And I'll bet the people in charge of this were well paid to screw these kids over. And, in case you wondered,

Speaking of the Evil Party and the invaders it supports,
I am an American migrant in US Congress. But I am a Somali girl. A girl with your lineage, a girl with your language, a girl with your religion. That was a young child taken from her country and wishes to live there and share with its people.
I am hopeful that in the future me and my children will be able to raise our kids in this land, where I was born and raised. To make that possible there is a lot that WE need [sic] work on together to make our land a more stable and prosperous place.
Add this to what Omar said a few days ago. She doesn't like the US, she wants to use it for Somali purposes and then leave, and gives aid and comfort to our enemies to do so. And the Evil Party helped her get into and stay in Congress.
Can you imagine the Democrat Party reaction if someone with an 'R' after their name did something like this? Oh, it's possible that if they thought it'd aid them they'd take it easy, but probably they'd raise hell and demand they be driven from Congress. 'But it's different when our internal enemy of the country does it.'

Years later he resurrected the lie and in 2012, while speaking to the NAACP, Biden claimed that he would go to "Reverend Wright's" church before heading out to desegregate movie theaters.
In 2014 Biden replaced Wright with Reverends Moyer and Holloway. Both Reverends were asked about Biden, neither remembered Biden ever coming to their church.
