when there's interesting things to observe?

Few days ago:
"Yes, I realize those are high-dollar noise-cancelling headphones. They still do not count as hearing protection on the range, put on the earmuffs!"
Yes, that was a real conversation.
Yes, that was a real conversation.
Bunch of friggin' barbarians
The boy was not seriously hurt, and the accident was not Urton's fault, Deters said Wednesday.
Killings was not watching his 2 and 4-year-old children, he said, and each wandered into the street. That's when tthe 4-year-old was hit.
Killings immediately went to the car and beat Urton up, knocking him semi-unconscious.
"You would think your first instinct would be to run to your 4-year-old," Deters said. "No, his first instinct was to go to the car, open the door and start beating the driver."
It's even more disturbing what happened next, Deters said.
Baber came out with a gun and yelled at Urton's passenger, telling him "Get out of here, you're black," according to Deters.
Then Baber opened fire, shooting his gun five times. Urton was shot once and bled to death, Deters said.
Hang the bastard. And Killings needs his ass handed to him for his part in all this.

According to this, United not only screwed the pooch,
it didn't use a condom. And the pooch was rabid.
If correct, they may have a new owner, who'll get to fire every clown involved in causing the mess.
This has been a bit problem in Britain(along with the sharia patrols, 'honor' murders, no-go zones for non-muslims, prostituting non-muslim girls); here's official notice it's here too.
Question: how long has this been going on with local authorities quashing the news? How many girls has this actually been done to? I'd bet it's a lot more than these.

This is enough to piss you off. Badly.
In response to online argument, he further amplified his point:I lost my legs because my gov’t was afraid to use the tools they had and saw me as expendable. I wish I’d had this admin.— Johnny (Joey) Jones (@Johnny_Joey) April 13, 2017
Either go in to WIN, or don't go in.We begged to use bombs on the minefield ghost town I lost my legs clearing. But by all means-continue your rhetorically righteous tweeting. https://t.co/OoyoxZzZtV— Johnny (Joey) Jones (@Johnny_Joey) April 13, 2017
I think Bush actually cared about the troops, but got sucked in to that "We must use minimal force so as not to alienate people" bullshit. Obama? Didn't and doesn't give a shit about the troops; to him and his kind they're just pawns on a board, and all of them expendable. We'll see if the change in attitude dropping the MOAB signals continues.
Watch this Trump statement carefully:
He doesn’t say he authorized the use of the bomb itself. He says he authorizes the military. This is a key, wise, statement — one that hopefully empowers the military to act from a proper position of legal, moral, and political strength. Obama was notorious for not only implementing strict rules of engagement but for vacuuming an enormous amount of military decision-making authority straight to the White House. It’s hard to think of a more disempowering practice. It’s hard to think of a practice better calculated to lead to timidity in the field. Trump seems to be bringing a change, and it’s a change that’s long overdue.JUST IN: Trump says he’s “proud” of “very successful job” the military did with the use of ‘The Mother of All Bombs’ https://t.co/G3qGtUdiu8 pic.twitter.com/DheqU0SsRl— CNBC Now (@CNBCnow) April 13, 2017
'Equal before the law' my ass, when cops and the BATFE are involved
...Special Agent in Charge of the ATF in Los Angeles Eric D. Harden
warned that the agency has learned of an “emerging problem” with respect
to law enforcement officers buying and then reselling guns, in possible violation of federal firearms law. The involved guns include many which are considered “off-roster” under California law, meaning that they can be purchased only by law enforcement officers and are not available to the general public.
Someone explain to me why a gun that a plain citizen can't buy should be allowed to cops?
“Recently, ATF has discovered that some law enforcement officers who do not have a (Federal Firearms License) are purchasing ‘off roster’ firearms and reselling those firearms to non-law enforcement entities for a profit,” Harden wrote.
You or I, we'd go to jail. But we don't have a badge. So
“ATF believed education is the most effective way to stop the growing trend of law enforcement officials engaging in the business of unlicensed firearms dealings,” Harden said in the advisory. “It is our goal to educate, not investigate, to ensure law enforcement officials comply with federal law in order to avoid unnecessary public embarrassment to themselves and your Department/Agency.”
But we can trust them. Sure. They tell us so.

How California Radicalized Average Gun Owners
Mind you, honest gun owners are still being screwed. But it is indeed pissing a lot of people off.
My father lamented that he would be considered a criminal for exercising his rights, that he would be forced to register his firearm that he knew the state didn't want him to own, believing his property would eventually be confiscated if the government knew he owned it.
Then there were people like me, the next generation, who had been told by the state, "you can't buy that, you can't own that, you can't inherit that."
Gun grabbers love telling you, "nobody's going to take your guns". Try telling that to this young adult who just realized, sure, you're not "taking" my guns; you're just making sure I'll never have the liberty to own one in the first place. And sure, you're not "taking" my inheritance; you're just requiring me to sell it to a licensed Dangerous Weapons dealer or remove it from the state.
Long as Californicated is controlled by the leftists in LA and SF, this crap will continue. Be interesting- probably in a very unpleasant way- to see what the "That's the line" turns out to be.

Another new species,
sea beast found in what's now Montana.
Someday, we find a way to either go back or at least send some type of drone, I predict a lot of what we find is going to have a bunch of people screaming bloody murder because what we actually see won't match up to what they thought we would.

MIT Press is out with a new book that teaches children the tenets of Karl Marx with fairy tales.
"Because REAL communism hasn't been tried yet(and all those troublesome dead bodies don't count), because REAL communism will be wonderful!"
Gods damn the shitbrained clowns doing this. Nirvana is always just a few million more smashed eggs in the future.
"Once upon a time, people yearned to be free of the misery of capitalism. How could their dreams come true?" a plot synopsis for the book reads. "This little book proposes a different kind of communism, one that is true to its ideals and free from authoritarianism."
The book is full of cartoon drawings of "lovable little revolutionaries" that help navigate kids through the "evils" of capitalism.
And a very fitting quote:
Sure as I know anything, I know this - they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave. - Capt. Mal

But Eric Holder and a bunch of ATF clowns are still running around free
The cartel member suspected of shooting and killing Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in 2010 with a gun supplied by the U.S. government was arrested in Mexico Wednesday, senior law enforcement, Border Patrol, and
congressional sources told Fox News.
Think about it: Holder & Co.
lied under oath,
submitted false documents,
aided a drug cartel,
are complicit in God-only-knows-how-big a pile of bodies,
and they got away with it all. Nobody fired, nobody charged, nothing.
AND they tried to blame the FFL holders they'd ordered to make the sales for the problems.
Gangster government, indeed.

Without agreement for widespread reform and accountability from the U.N.'s member states, solutions remain elusive.
Bullshit. Rope is cheap and plentiful.
Or use some of the 'peacekeepers' own ammo stocks; it's not like they have any real use for them, anyway.
Or use some of the 'peacekeepers' own ammo stocks; it's not like they have any real use for them, anyway.
Short version: "How dare anyone pay attention to the stupid things I post!"
Remember this idiot? Serious butthurt that anyone he doesn't approve of read his crap, and had a problem with it.
You could shorten this to "We're sick of the peasants having powered personal transportation! And this terrorist attack is a good excuse to try to stop that!"
Dammit, all this time I should've been saving up to buy a tank.
What? ATF agents doing illegal stuff?
Anybody actually surprised?
Second:
What’s even more shocking? The ATF refuses to say who authorized the account, despite the account containing a combination of government funds and private money, something that is completely illegal.
Tell the bastards they can talk, or be charged and prosecuted. AND THEN CHARGE AND PROSECUTE THEM. Sick to bloody death of slimeballs like this getting away with it.

This "Being a fed agency means you can ignore the law" crap
needs to be stopped. Not just at BATFEIEIO, but all agencies.
Judicial Watch's March 2015 FOIA request asked for all records of communications, including emails, to or from employees or officials of the ATF related to the proposed regulation change. According to the group's civil complaint, filed in U.S. District Court, the ATF did not formally acknowledge the FOIA request or assign it a number.
"If we pretend we didn't get it, we don't have to do anything, lalalalalalaIcan'thearyou!"

The point is: don’t get punched. If you survive, it may ruin your life.
Also, the next time some anti is crying and waiving the bloody shirt
that it wasn’t right for some CCW to shoot the thug just who was just
throwing punches, fuck ’em. Brain damage is brain damage whether it is caused by a bullet or a fist.
The leftist thugs assaulting people have already put people in hospitals; sooner or later they're going to kill someone, either with a punch or a group of them beating the victim. And I guarantee that if someone trying to save the victim shoots, the media and every bunch of leftists out there will be screaming because "They didn't even have a weapon!"
Just another dreamer, doing the crimes Americans won't.
The Obama administration last year began the process of granting legal status to a 36-year-old illegal immigrant with a long criminal rap sheet whom agents had twice tried to deport, and who now stands accused of killing his 15-year-old girlfriend, mother of one child with him and pregnant with another.
Don't just listen to the media, especially when it's Democrat operatives with bylines talking about firearms; they lie.
"We're just trying to protect families!" My ass they are.
On that mess with United Airlines, something to remember: yes, United is apparently being run by idiots, but take note:
It wasn’t a flight attendant who dragged that man bloody and screaming off the plane. It was a police officer.
This is the nature of Government.
...When obeying a flight attendant’s every diktat is holds the weight of law (thanks War on Terror), a cop can rough you up for not wanting to take a later flight than the one you paid for.
The cognitive disconnect with the Progressive Left is that they hate cops but love making regulations. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t micromanage people’s lives without police there, using force, to make people comply with the micromanagement.
Welcome to the police state.
Chances of the cops involved actually paying a price for this? Damn near zero. Wonderful, isn't it?
Funny, that doesn't look like "Gun sales are tanking!" to me.

Go after every bastard involved: the accuser, Associate Vice President of Student Affairs Heather Snow,
associate
director of academic integrity Daniel Moore, and anyone else involved in this crap. For everything they have or ever will have.
A male student who was accused of sexual harassment committed suicide just days after the University of Texas at Arlington ignored its own policies in order to punish him. The accused student’s father, a lawyer acting as the administrator of his son’s estate, is now suing the school for violating his son’s Title IX rights.
College administrators, as well as members of the media and legislators, would do well to remember the name Thomas Klocke. Klocke, a straight male, was accused by a gay male student of writing anti-gay slurs on his computer during a class. Klocke vehemently denied the accusation, and administrators who investigated the incident acknowledged there was no evidence to support the accuser’s claims, yet Klocke was still punished.
Another 'Accusation = Guilt' treatment, and this time the accused couldn't handle it and is dead. And the dirtbags involved violated their own damned rules to get the outcome they wanted. Nail every damned one of them to the walls.

I'd heard the name Basil Plumley in passing somewhere before;
wish I'd thought to look it up then.
The men of the 7th Cavalry held out valiantly, but ultimately they were still outnumbered five-to-one, deep in enemy territory, and completely surrounded by troops with heavy weapons pointed right at them, and casualties were piling up. But Plumley didn't give a shit. He wasn't about to fucking back down. The unit's commanding officer, Hal Moore, vividly recalls in his book We Were Soldiers Once… and Young that he was standing there with Plumley, looking at the piles of wounded and the untenable position they were in, and he was like, "Jesus Christ, it's Little Bighorn all over again!"
Plumely just looked at him, no emotion at all, and said, "Custer was a pussy. You ain't."
That night, as AK-47 fire ripped up the jungle, the order went down the American battle line – fix bayonets. When some of the troops were like, "what the fuck is a bayonet?", Plumley got pissed. Screaming over the din of mortars and machine guns, Plumley drew his pistol and said something to the effect of "You sons of bitches, take that pointy fucking thing you use to open your c-rations, stick it to the end of your rifle, and follow me!"
That's one part of his story. he and Moore were well matched, and the enemy was kind of screwed.

'upsetting event' Right.
Not as upsetting as it's going to be before this is over.
Nice going, United. I hope this costs the ass of everyone involved. Including the security clowns who dragged the guy off being prosecuted for their actions.

"Why have people lost trust in judges?"
Because so many of them say things like this:
In a trenchant critique of the ruling, National Review’s David French wrote that the majority was “relegating lawful gun owners to second-class-citizen status.” While that might sound dramatic, Judge James Wynn admitted as much in a concurrence, declaring that gun owners “forego other constitutional rights,” including freedom from unannounced police intrusion and freedom of speech.
This is such bullshit it shouldn't be allowed near a garden, lest it poison the crop.
Years back an actual Constitutional scholar(unlike our last President) pointed out just how dangerous the 'The 2nd Amendment is only a COLLECTIVE right' crap was for the left to push, because the exact same things could- and would- be used to attack other rights. This fits right in with that.
And yes, this is from Slate. Piers Morgan makes sense and now this from them; are the stars in a strange alignment?

'Sanctuary City' actually means "Screw the citizens,
turn those criminals loose. Progress, comrades!"
The First Name and Shame List is out. This is the list of criminals that ICE has issued detainers for that were not honored by jails. That means that some alleged “cop” decided to let illegal aliens who are committing other crimes out of their jail instead of out of the country.
Travis County (San Antonio Austin) shows up particularly poorly in this. In short, they are a fucking disgrace
to the state of Texas. Who did these Fake Americans put out on the
streets of San Antonio to continue terrorizing good Real Americans?

Ignorance
Not 'stupidity'. 'Ignorance' is 'a lack of knowledge, understanding, or education', and easily fixable; 'stupid' is a whole 'nother thing.
This brought up by, a few days ago, a guy asking how to load a magazine(actually something like "How do you put the bullets in?").
"Take a cartridge, and-"
"What's that?"
Hold up a round. "Cartridge?" Blank look. "The bullets?"
"OH!"
Genius I'm not, all-knowing I'm not; the level of "I have no idea what any of this stuff is, how do you make it go bang?" is amazing. That's the bad part.
The good part: They're learning. They've decided to find out, and try this. And the more people who do, and find out how much fun it is, the better off we are, and the better the 2nd will be defended.

And not a word about 'corrupt', or 'lying bitch',
or 'arrogant', or any of the other actual reasons lots of people wouldn't vote for her.
Because dealing with those things would mean accepting responsibility, and that's unthinkable.
Good. Anymore, I figure anyone who trusts a prosecutor- ANY prosecutor- with this kind if discretion is a fool.
More reason to get both the .gov and your work out of insurance/health care: this "We pay, so we can monitor what you eat/how you live and adjust your rates as we choose" crap is just going to get worse.

There are people who'll show up at a range less than half an hour before closing,
hear "You'd have less than 30 minutes to shoot", and they'll say "Ok." And some of the damn near have to be chased off the line when the time comes.
The FN PS90 is an interesting carbine. It's still in the category of 'Fun to shoot occasionally, but I wouldn't want one.'
There are times I'd like to dig up every old cop and private-eye movie that shows the hero closing a revolver cylinder by flipping their wrist, and burn them.
And possibly use a club on the idiots who, when you tell them not to do that, get pissy.
Amazing the number of people who'll say "I want to try shooting a 9mm", and get a blank look when you ask "Which one?" Same thing for .45; lots of people think that means a single firearm, not a whole damned extended family.
I shall now put my feet up for while. I'm beat.
