A different opinion on Pam Bondi as AG

Which includes this:
The public theater...the Epstein files fiasco, the congressional grillings, the slow-bleed perception that “Trump’s enemies weren’t being prosecuted fast enough”...was the predictable noise generated by an entrenched apparatus that weaponizes leaks, redactions, and procedural sabotage the moment it senses its own exposure.

Bondi absorbed that fire so the next occupant of the office would inherit dockets already primed, evidence chains already hardened, and a bureaucracy already blooded and compliant.

She was the breaching charge.

The follow-on force...now under acting leadership that can move with fewer Senate constraints and fresher political capital...gets to deliver the kill shots.
I think some of her work, that seemed to be very soft on the 2nd Amendment, was a problem.  She did get some things done, and it's possible that she wasn't intended to be the long-term AG.

And, oh joy, some idiot fired shots at that stupid press dinner where the President was,

and, undoubtedly to the disappointment of most of the press and lots of open Democrats, he was  uninjured; which makes me wonder what kind of crap we'll get to hear tomorrow from the Democrats in most states...

A good piece on a lot of both the anti-semitism running around, and

what's a central pillar for a lot of young males: revenge.  And the big threats these include for the future.  Which does include the problems of getting people to actually deal with the threat to the west of serious muslims who follow their old ways.
But then, modern Western people simply don’t understand how pre-modern people think. They simply cannot take Muslims seriously when they talk of jihad — even though this has always been the Islamic way of war. Eating dinner at a bar in Washington on Saturday night, I sat next to a European journalist (I won’t identify his country, to err on the side of protecting him) who has been living in self-imposed exile in the US for some years. He had to flee his native country because his reporting on jihadism earned him multiple death threats. He told me he used to be a standard liberal, but his brutal experience with how liberals in his country, especially his colleagues in the media, refused to take his reporting seriously. They considered him Islamophobic, and a disturber of the peace. Some of the homegrown jihadis he wrote about subsequently carried out one of the most horrific jihad attacks in modern Europe history.

He told me that he could probably go back to Europe safely now, because most of the jihadis who had issued death threats to him had been killed fighting for ISIS in Syria. Still, he’s afraid, and he has a right to be. He too believes that civil war is coming to Europe. He also believes that the governing classes, in both public and private institutions, will not allow themselves to see it, because it violates the way they prefer to see the world. I brought up the French writer Renaud Camus, and how he had been cast out of polite French society. The journalist knew about him, and said yes, this is the kind of thing he experienced too, simply for trying to warn his countrymen what was living among them, and what was to come. (After dinner, I googled this man, and he was exactly who he said he was.)

But see, the Jews are our real problem, right? Come on.

Here in Europe, it’s not Jews that make public life in so many European big cities unbearable. In fact, they were the first ones to experience the special pleasure of Islamic harassment and persecution — an experience that is now far more general. They were the canaries in the coal mine. They so often are. Now some European towns are having to cancel their traditional Christmas markets, because the cost of providing security to stop Muslims from attacking them violently is too great. Check this video out — a Muslim mob marches through a Christmas market in a show of cultural strength. No European Jew ever attacked a Christmas market, or tried to ruin it for others.

Throw in impatience with getting the economy going better.  Huge factor for lots of people.

A mix of things to report on

True, every word.  

Now, chances of?  Not good on getting rid of the agency, not enough of a majority and too many of what there is being too squishy.  Getting rid of the NFA, the leftists will scream bloody murder, but there is, I think, a chance of that.  Or at least getting things from it to the level of, say, a 4473 to buy a suppressor, some things like that.  We'll see.


Over in (formerly Great)Britain, no wonder the Labour side doesn't want a real investigation into child rape, it just might cause too many problems for their members.
Note that it says 'arrested following a sting operation by citizen pedophile hunters', which might have delighted some but otherwise probably pissed off the cops that they had to do something.

Been watching some of the reactions from the left to the election,

and that guy who wrote about mass psychiatric problems was right.  Holy crap, the screaming, the crying, the "I'm going to wind up in a camp!" and so forth, there's not enough psychiatrists/psychologists in the country- especially that know their ass from a hole in the ground- to deal with them. 

And every damn one seems to think they're such a threat to the Bad Orange Man that he'll send people out to deal with them, either into camps, thrown out of the country, or killed.

Mind you, these are generally the people who had plans to throw the BadThinkers into camps.  And during the Wuhan panic they wanted to deal with people who wouldn't take the vaccines by throwing them in camps.  If they had kids, take the kids away(so they could be put in approved schools and get a proper indoctin- ah, education) and then throw the parents in camps.  The actual enemies of the republic have camps on the brain.

Speaking of insanity, there's an idiot journalist called Taylor Lorenz who, a while back, informed us that the NYeffingTimes only allowed right-wing opinions from their journalists..  That level of idiocy is hard to figure.

Speaking of idiocy, I give you our Dept. of 'Justice', and Jack Smith.  Who a judge had already pointed out was illegally appointed Special Counsel, but Garland* insisted "I'm a lawyer and the AG, so I know what's legal(he does, the problem is he doesn't care)".  The cases, they say, are being dropped and Smith is out, far too late and with no penalty as of now for having been illegally 'investigating' and acting in very unethical ways.

Next questions: what will the Democrats pull to try to keep Trump out of office, and when inauguration time comes how many New Red Guard will they send out to loot, burn, and murder?  I do expect, in some cities, there's likely to be a rather stronger response, if not by the cops then by the citizens who don't want their homes and business and lives burned down again.

It's likely to be lively.  Especially with Trump looking at appointing Elon Musk to doing some cleaning- out of lots of agencies.  That will be fun.

I'm hoping that Trump learned the lessons of his last time in the Oval Office and starts cutting and firing and "You are invited to retire.  Now." invitations.

Next few months are likely to be interesting.  Especially since the new President is not likely to hold back on using the National Guard in, say, D.C. to grab rioters and stop them.

One more thing: lots of Democrats metaphorically cutting throats and backstabbing to place the blame for Harris the Cackler.  

So, Trump not only won,

but by significant margins in both the popular and electoral votes.

I haven't heard, has she yet called for everyone to come together with the guy she called a nazi, a fascist, and just like Hitler?

I took a quick look at Fecesbook, lots of leftists screaming and wailing, lots of- well, you know.  And some "If the .gov had some control over what people hear, this wouldn't have happened!", because actual free speech is something they hate.

It'll be interesting to see what the leftists come out with next.  To say the least.

Donald Trump scored a significant court win Saturday as a state judge in Florida turned down attempts by the Pulitzer Prize Board to toss out a libel lawsuit Trump filed in 2022 relating to a series of reports in the New York Times and Washington Post on the 2016 Trump campaign’s ties to Russia.

In a 14-page ruling issued Saturday, Senior Judge Robert Pegg turned down arguments from the prominent journalism awards panel that their decision to bestow the national reporting prize on the staffs of the two newspapers in 2018 amounted to a statement of “pure opinion” rather than fact.

The libel suit does not hinge directly on the articles the Times and Post published about the Trump campaign’s links to Russia or on the decision to award the Pulitzer to the newspapers.

Instead, the case focuses on the board’s decision in 2022 to publicly reaffirm those awards despite repeated complaints by Trump that the the stories contained numerous falsehoods and were undermined by the findings of special counsel Robert Mueller’s two-year investigation into those issues.

Trump appears to have zeroed in on the board’s 2022 statement about the reviews it ordered of the earlier prizes because Florida law has a two-year statute of limitations for defamation cases.

This means the Trump team now has right to discovery.

So Biden decided to bow out, or else

he was given a deal he couldn't refuse, which could mean "We'll keep the family from going to jail" or "We'll paint you as a great stateman, or a crack-brained old man, your choice."  No telling.

Ever media clown who's been following their orders will now start pumping up Harris, or whoever they've been told is the Democrat savior, at least for now.

I wonder if they'll manage to cool down their convention, or it'll be maybe worse than it was going to?

That picture of a defiant Trump that caught the flag in the background, that they hate so much?  If the SS had done their damned jobs, it never would've happened.
1: The shots wouldn't have been fired, and
2: If they'd bundled him into the car as covered and fast as they should have, he wouldn't have been able to do that.

Pretty much.  We had so many journalists trying to distance themselves from their past "Biden is in great shape!" stuff(some only until the new "He just had a bad night/meeting/had a cold!" orders came out), it was amazing: "His staff lied to us!"  "You met and saw him how many times and you didn't see any of this?"  "Shut up!"

Then came the murderer striking, and the immediate reaction of them was to downplay it, like the "Trump rushed out after falls on stage" crap.

It's been downright amazing.  Along with all the people who've been calling for Trump to be killed suddenly saying "Both sides have to tone the rhetoric down!"

Now throw in just how this happened, and the Secret Service either had some orders not to do things right, or this bunch was effing incompetent.  Then, after the EffingBI got at it, it appears this guy had no social media record at all, which is just...  far more likely is the said Bureau scrubbed it, whether out of "Nobody but US gets to see it!" or it would prove embarrassing to certain people and groups.*

I think that the next time a bunch of leftists decide to riot and burn part of a city, at least in places outside the People's Republics of MA/CA/NY and such, the reception is likely to be a lot hotter, too.  A whole lot of people have had enough.

*No, I don't trust them.  At all.  Few years back I wrote a piece about how much it bothered me to say that; it still does, but they've thrown away the trust I- hell, a LOT of people- used to have in them.
