'How to spot CCW'.  See what you think

Holder really didn't want to answer that question.

'Learn what you're talking about before you start yapping.'

Idiot journalism professor says either "Please stop beating on me, it's hurting my reputation" or "I have seen the light!"

Thatisall

It's hard to work up much outrage right now,

between, Obama's "This kind of thing should be banned!(unless I'm doing it)" on phone and e-mail and internet snooping, assholes like Lindsey Graham playing "If you have nothing to hide, why are you worried?" bullshit games, and just general tired.

NSA and IRS officials lying to Congress, with little chance of them facing any real penalty.  Asshole Feinstein defending Obama's snooping because "We're not actually reading your stuff(that we'll admit to)."  And on, and on.

Screw it.  You may hear from me, or you may not for a few.

"We're only after terrorists."

Right.
Sure.

The (National Socialist)Democrats really do like them some history-rewriting, don't they?

"We went to the wrong address, but we BELIEVED we were at the right place, so we're good."
Buffalo Police spokesperson Michael DeGeorge says Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the case, but that police believe they had the proper address.

He also says detectives "don't believe the dog was chained or leashed" when they executed the raid. Adding that if any wrong doing is found in the investigation that officers will face consequences.
'Consequences'.  Such as?  Actual punishment?  Any more, I doubt it.  And don't trust the bastards at all.

The Obama administration’s narrative that the targeting of conservatives by the IRS was the work of “low-level” agents in Cincinnati took another serious blow Thursday when the Wall Street Journal released a new report citing viewed transcripts of interviews with those agents in which they name names of those in Washington who oversaw the action.

Effing Lindsey Graham  needs to be beaten over the head with a copy of the Bill of Rights.  Preferably one printed on stainless steel.  What the hell is wrong with these idiots?

June 6, 1944

Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force! You are about to embark upon a great crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers in arms on other fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle hardened, he will fight savagely.
But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats, in open battle, man to man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our home fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to victory!
I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory!
Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessings of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.
-- Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower

New Evidence Puts Man In North America 50,000 Years Ago

IRS refuses to turn over documents on targeting to Senate
Charge 'em with contempt, no warnings.

The Environmental Protection Agency is facing Inspector  General and Congressional probes regarding political targeting of conservative groups.

Did you know that previously illegal immigrants who are legalized–like the 11 million immigrants granted Registered Provisional status by the Schumer-Rubio Gang of 8 bill–not only qualify for the Earned Income Tax credit (EITC) when they go to work (which seems reasonable enough to me) but may also get to apply for retroactive credits for previous years in which they were working illegally?

A sheriff's deputy and sheriff who need their ass kicked to another job:
The boy was questioned by the principal and a sheriff's deputy, who also wanted to search the family home without a warrant, Henkelman said. "He started asking me questions about if I have firearms, and [the deputy said] he's going to have to search my house.  Search my house?  I just wanted to know what happened."
No search was performed, and the deputy left Henkelman's home after the father answered questions in a four-page questionnaire issued by the Sheriff's Office.
A: "Set foot in my house without a warrant and I'll have you up on charges and sue you."
B: "Questionnaire?  Before you'll LEAVE MY HOME?  Talk to my lawyer."

Questions for the White House counsel.

Friggin' Massachussetts.

Former CIA Director Leon Panetta revealed the name of the Navy SEAL unit that carried out the Osama bin Laden raid and named the unit’s ground commander at a 2011 ceremony attended by “Zero Dark Thirty” filmmaker Mark Boal, according to a draft Pentagon inspector general’s report obtained by a watchdog group.

Panetta also disclosed classified information designated as “top secret” and “secret” during his presentation at the CIA awards ceremony, says the draft IG report published Wednesday by the Project on Government Oversight.

"I am not here as a serf or vassal. I am not begging my lords for mercy."
Further,  Gerritson also dropped a bombshell on the committee: Her group received an inquiry letter bearing Lois Lerner’s signature. Lerner has claimed that the IRS abuse of groups like Gerritson’s was the work of a couple of “rogue employees.” Lerner has since plead the Fifth Amendment in her refusal to testify on the abuse, and has been placed on administrative leave.

Speaking of wind sweeping down, Updated

The massive tornado contained several powerful "subvortices," areas of extremely rapid rotation that swirled within the larger tornadic circulation. These subvortices contained the strongest wind speeds measured within the tornado, greater than 295 miles per hour in several different instances -- well above the 201-mph minimum requirement for a EF5 designation.
And size:
In addition, the width of the tornado has been given a "conservative" estimate of 2.6 miles. This is a new record for the widest tornado in history, beating the previous record of 2.5 miles near Hallam, Neb. on May 22, 2004.

For those of you in metric lands, that's  'greater than 475 kilometers per hour' and 'estimate of 4.2 kilometers wide'.

My house is about 2.5 miles north of I40, daughter's slightly less than a mile.  So when a airborne vacuum this size was reported traveling right along I40, you'll understand it was worrying.

Update: more on the weather, in this case what the rains did.

I can type today;

slowly, but can.
Short version:

Longer: up on ladder pruning tree, pruning pole falls over and comes down blade-first across my right wrist.  Pain and hemorrhage followed.  Followed by swelling and more pain.

Better today, but a long way from normal.  So very short post:

Leftists hate money in politics.  Unless they're getting it.

Politically correct racism.  Also protecting bad guys.

McDermott is an asshole.  A vile, partisan, bitter little asshole.

I think there is a bigger story here that will in time come out. The biggest scandal of all, the biggest question is what was the president doing in those eight hours. He had a routine meeting at five o’clock. He never after during the eight hours when our guys have their lives in danger, he never called the Secretary of Defense, he never calls the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, he never called the CIA Director, Who does he call? But five hours in he calls the Secretary of State. And after the phone call she releases a statement essentially about the video and how we denounce any intolerance. It looks as if the only phone call is to construct a cover story at a time when the last two Americans who died were still alive and fighting for their lives. There’s the scandal and that has to be uncovered.

Little to no blog for you

for a day or two.  Because trying to rant with one hand don't cut it

Mr. Huffman, I think the answer is 'Yes'

Due to circumstances, I saw parts of two Made For SYFY Movies!! (Mega-Something vs. -oid I think)the other night.

‘Parts’ because I was unable to watch the whole. I do mean unable; I like good monster movies, but these didn't qualify, and I think I’d have had a stroke if I’d tried to force myself to watch the whole of either.

Bad? BAD was not even on the rating curve. ‘Execrable’ would be a level of excellence to which these movies would aspire. And fail. I would like to try to describe the parts I saw just for illustration, but I think I can hear brain cells crying for mercy just because I thought about doing so.

Joe Huffman once asked if there’s a rule that these things HAVE to be bad; if there’s not a rule, then some sadist really likes to inflict torment upon those fool enough to turn on the channel, and someone gave him free rein at the SYFY network.

'A few low-level employees in one office' my ass

Former Internal Revenue Service commissioner Douglas H. Shulman, a frequent White House guest during the period when the IRS was targeting conservative nonprofits, is married to the senior program advisor for Public Campaign, an “organization dedicated to sweeping campaign reform that aims to dramatically reduce the role of big special interest money in American politics.”
Just coincidence, right? So's this:
Public Campaign’s ninth-floor 1133 19th Street NW office in Washington, D.C. is located on the same floor as the liberal groups Common Cause and Center for Progressive Leadership.

Also,
The Internal Revenue Service has told House GOP investigators they have identified 88 IRS employees who may have documents relevant to the congressional investigation into targeting of conservative groups, according to a congressional source familiar with the investigation.
'A few', right.  And the clowns running the IRS really don't want to answer questions; kind of like they think they're immune or something:
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) declined Friday afternoon to meet a Senate Finance Committee deadline for answering detailed questions about the origins of the IRS scandal. The questions had been submitted jointly nearlytwo weeks ago by Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) and Ranking Member Orrin Hatch (R-UT).

In a joint statement to Breitbart News, Baucus and Hatch said:
“It’s disappointing that the IRS failed to produce any of the documents requested by the Committee.
Well, try expressing that disappointment with subpoenas.  And charges.

Something on this from Mark Steyn:
Although acting commissioner Steven Miller apologized for the “horrible customer service” conservative taxpayers had gotten, a gentleman by the name of Malik Obama received impeccable, express service when he took the precaution of mailing in his non-profit application from N’giya, Kenya, rather than notoriously slower mail processing centers such as Phoenix and Dallas. Malik, the brother of President Obama, runs the Barack H. Obama Foundation, named for the president’s father. On May 30, 2011, they applied for tax-exempt status, and had their approval signed less than a month later by Lois Lerner herself, and conveniently backdated by Lois to cover the two-and-a-half years the enterprising Malik had already been raking in “tax-deductible” donations from Americans. The Washington address of the Barack H. Obama Foundation appears to be bogus, and it’s not clear whether the funds are being used back in Kenya for anything other than supporting the famously lavish lifestyle of Malik and his twelve wives. Given that the IRS is not shy about asking American conservatives for Facebook posts and lists of who attends their meetings, Ms. Lerner surely would have been within her rights to ask Malik Obama about the “exclusive” photographs currently displayed on the Barack H. Obama Foundation website of a recent meeting in Sudan, one of only four countries the U.S. government designates as a “terrorist state,” and the Foundation’s apparently extensive association with the Sudanese president and blood-soaked genocidal war criminal Omar al-Bashir.

Under the heading that "There's really no vote fraud going on, not enough of it to worry about!",
The chief of staff to freshman Rep. Joe Garcia (D-Fla.) resigned on Friday after he was implicated in a plot to submit hundreds of fraudulent absentee ballots during the congressman’s primary election last year.
...
Jeffrey Garcia declined to comment to the paper, which reported that he also worked for the campaign of Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-Fla.), who defeated Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) in 2012.
Rep. Garcia said he was likely to put his communications director, Giancarlo Sopo, on administrative leave after Sopo was served with a search warrant Friday.
If these bastards aren't at least charged, then there needs to be some kind of civil action taken; this garbage has to be stopped, and people going to jail and being fined is probably the only thing that'll do it.

I've mentioned hail before Updated
