Tonight?

Because I feel like studying.

They've now changed the forecast for this area from 'flurries'

to 'light snow'. Considering it's been snowing moderately for the last hours, that's damn nice of them.

If I'd had the camera, on the way back from the store I could've taken a picture of everything a block or so away fading into the grey.  As is, you'll have to be satisfied with this
of the front yard.

'Flurries' my ass

It's been snowing out there for a few hours, and it's starting to collect on the street in places.  And I forgot to get bread yesterday.  And after sticking a hole in my left hand, I'm not going to try baking some today.

If I'm not heard from later, someone feed Security Staff Sr. and Jr.

I'd say something about the cold wind blowing outside as the front comes through, but

anytime is a good time for science!

'Rape culture is horrible!" my ass

If someone on the right wrote this about, say, Katy Perry, we'd be hearing screaming about how horrible and sexist and so forth it is.

Of course, these are the same people who still display irrational hatred for Sarah Palin because she doesn't have the correct leftist political views.  Even said she wasn't actually a woman.  And thought it was funny as hell, and accurate, when Condoleeza Rice was called a house nigger, and displayed in ways that, if used on a black female politician, would've had them screaming in outrage.

These people suck.

He adds: “In whose professional world is it acceptable to omit

the majority of the data and also not disclose the omission to any other soul or Congressional body?”
In the professional world of the global warmening mongers, of course.

Yeah, the response you should NOT expect of a scientist when you ask a question is
Sabine replied that it was inappropriate for Wallace to impugn the “motives or quality of our science” and warned that if he continued in this manner “you will not last long in your career.” Having provided Wallace with a few links – all of which turned out to be useless – he concluded his email by saying “I hope you will refrain from contacting me again.”
Veiled threats and bullshit; there's a scientific genius for you.

If this is the extent of the threats, then I think the police are asking for a serious lawsuit.
Yes, the guy appears to be a jackass; that's not supposed to be an arrestable offense.

Tells me there need to be a bunch of subpoenas sent to agency heads; and if they blow it off, they need to be introduced to life behind bars.  Assuming Congress has the balls to actually enforce the law.

You can't blame OUR actions and words for this(but we'll still blame YOU for everything)!

Just ran across this, and the level of FAIL! is awe-inspiring; what the HELL is the Secret Service up to?
A 24-year-old California student has now revealed how she was selected as one of many volunteer drivers to be part of that chain of vehicles, 'following Obama all over San Francisco' for a day - despite having no experience, no training and, in what experts have called the most troubling, no idea what to do in an emergency.
...When pressed by The Times on how she would handle an incident such as an attack, Tyson admitted she received little-to-no briefing from the Secret Service before getting behind the wheel of the official van.

She said the main warning was not to hit any police motorcycles, usually driven by local officers.

That's an arsenal?

Two guns, brass knuckles, and some body armor is an arsenal?

They'd crap their pants if the saw what some people I know have.

Be it said: in the current climate especially, in New Effing York, talking in public about wanting to kill cops and having guns is the sign of a dumbass.

Interesting note: possessing a loaded, defaced gun.  'Defaced' I think is NY talk for a damaged serial number, which indicates the possibility of some other non-legal activities in his life.

Speaking of not dumbass, but downright stupid:

Ah, so that's how he finds them!

And for Christmas:

Well, A round in space.

Amazing what you can do with a balloon

And more data for the holidays

for your perusal at leisure

Ladies, I have some data for you

Call it a Christmas Present

Christmas Eve tab clearing

Short & dirty version: "That cracker told people what Khadija tweeted, and us colored and superior people want him to PAY!"

Israel-hating leftist loses, tries to spin it as victory.

Speaking to ABC News, the veteran journalist described ISIS as 'the strongest group I ever met. Very strong, very clever, very enthusiastic'.

He added: 'They are extremely brutal. Not just head-cutting. I'm talking about the strategy of religious cleansing. That's their official philosophy. They are talking about 500 million people who have to die.'
I'm sure John Effing Kerry will subdue them with stern statements that they're not really muslim and are giving the group a bad name.

Oh, and the journalist informs us that it's still the fault of the nasty BOOOOSH.

Comrade Mayors' chief adviser

Not only is there a group calling itself the Trayvon Martin Organizing Committee, but they were apparently the ones with the 'What do we want, dead cops' chant.

"Yes, it was illegal for the murderer to have a gun, but if the NRA hadn't kept us from making it ILLEGALER, it would've stopped him!"

"Church would be so much better if we stopped concentrating on that religion stuff."

“The blame game,” Sharpton now says, “will only lead to further kinds of venom and further division.”

Ironic words from the tax deadbeat who invented Tawana Brawley and who has spent a lifetime denouncing “white interlopers,” “diamond merchants” and “fags.” None dare call it hate speech.

The subject of the underrepresentation of conservatives in academia comes up. My interlocutor admits that this is indeed a reality, but says the reason why conservatives are underrepresented in academia is because they don't want to be there, or they're just not smart enough to cut it. I say: "That's interesting. For which other underrepresented groups do you think that's true?" An uncomfortable silence follows.

Aunt: “Go pull the car around and I’ll grab our stuff. We are leaving. These people are dangerous.”
Dad: “No. I’m not going to let you give car keys to an intoxicated 10 year old.”
Hoplophobia and bad parenting at its finest.

In a later update to his post, Bernstein added, “[A]s a woman pregnant out of wedlock, if Mary was a Palestinian she’d have a lot more to fear from a potential honor killing than she would from having to traverse and Israeli checkpoint; twenty-seven Palestinian women were victims of honor killings in the West Bank and Gaza in 2013 alone.”

Ah, Greenpeace, you really screwed the pooch on this one

Peru has drone footage showing some of the damage to the Nazca site, and Greenpeace supporters are trying to minimize criticism:
Along with riling the Peruvian government (which has pledged to file criminal charges against the offending activists) and damaging the site, the situation has drawn a rift between environmentalists.

Greg Laden, an outspoken climate hawk, biological anthropologist, and archaeologist who studies historical sites like the Nazca lines, has seen it personally. “There are people that have contacted me privately and publicly who are allies in climate discussion who think we should not react too strongly because they want to preserve Greenpeace as a legitimate organization,” he said. “I don’t think they understand the significance of the situation.”
Or they do, but they don't care; the message is more important than some old man-made scars on Ma Gaia, right?
His outrage is shared by most, though in private, most environmental advocates — including many within Greenpeace USA — are shell-shocked. They are heartbroken at the damage to the Nazca Lines, humiliated about the fallout, and plagued with debilitating disbelief that the situation was allowed to occur. They want to know who the responsible parties were within Greenpeace International, and they want to remind people of all the good that Greenpeace has done for the climate and environment in the past.
"Hey, we're the GOOD people, remember?  We're trying to save you idiots from yourselves, so stop yelling at us!"

Gee, you'd think they didn't want people to see the pictures for some reason...
In an interview Tuesday morning with C-SPAN, former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson revealed that secret photos taken by the White House photographer have never been released to the public, and current White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest was the one keeping them secret.

Speaking of White House weenies,
“We know beyond any reasonable doubt that humans are the main cause of the warming of the earth’s climate that has been measured over the past few decades. The warming is unequivocal.
Followed by
“While the climate of the earth has changed over the millennia as a result of natural factors – principally changes in the tilt and orientation of the earth’s axis and rotation, and in the shape of its orbit around the sun – those changes occur far too gradually to have noticeable effects over a period of mere decades. In their current phases, moreover, they would be gradually cooling the earth – taking us to another ice age – if they weren’t being more than offset by human-caused warming.”
So the 'unequivocal' warming(that isn't) is saving us from, or delaying, the next ice age.  That's got to be a problem for the warmenists: do they cheer the ice age for trying to wipe out most icky humans, or thank warming for keeping them from freezing their bahoogies off?

They just can't stand people not falling into the 'inclusiveness and diversity' line: thousands making quiet, non-violent protest against mass immigration and 'tolerance' of radical muslims, and you get called 'nazis in pinstripes' by the government.  Yeah, that's going to go over well.

Only thing I can think is BATFEIEIO and DoJ are so desperate

to try to avoid losing the case that they threw this crap in.
A Monday order in the United States Court of Federal Claims by Judge Francis M. Allegra in the case of Jay Anthony Dobyns v. United States points to a motion by the government that has the judge demanding clarification. Noting it’s not even clear if a notice of appeal relates to a Federal Circuit Court order or to prior Federal Claims Court orders, Judge Allegra ordered the government “on or before January 5, 2015 [to] file [an explanatory] memorandum (not to exceed 30 pages)."
That's downright stupid; two big agencies with legions of lawyers, and they screw up this way?

This presumption of guilt is absolutely crucial to collectivism.  The Left must teach its subjects to think of themselves as criminals.  That’s the only way law-abiding people will endure levels of coercive power that would normally require specific accusations, a fair trial, and the possibility of appeals.  Social-justice “crimes” can be prosecuted without any of those things.  There is no appeal from the sentence, and no statute of limitations on the crimes, as any left-winger who thinks today’s American citizens need to suffer for the historical offense of slavery will be happy to explain to you.  There’s no evidence you can present in your defense, for the Left has read your mind, and knows better than you what demons lurk in its recesses.
...
If you think micro-regulators should be running society, and government should be taxing money away from the proletariat before they hurt themselves with it, then by definition you don’t think very much of the people you’re planning to tax and regulate.  You must see them as thieves, exploiters, and haters… their vision too short, and too clouded with bigotry, to make important decisions about the fate of the nation.  Leftists have a boundless appetite for stories that reinforce their low opinion of the people they dominate… and to be honest, some of the dominated are hungry for reassurance that they did the right thing by ceding control of their lives, and the lives of their neighbors, to the Left.  People who have relinquished their freedom must learn to think poorly of themselves, if they are to sleep well at night.

Somehow, I don't think the leftists will like this one

One of my favorite words is “mokita” which means the truth everyone knows but agrees not to discuss. Every culture has things like that. In America, everyone knows one truth about race relations. That is, if blacks ever go to war with whites, they will lose everything. When you are 13% of the population, you always have to navigate around the other 87%. Given America’s race history, “navigating” means blacks  can raise holy hell from time to time when they feel cheated, but they can never cross the line into full revolt.

Bosnians are pretty good at the tribal warfare stuff. Probably better than their black neighbors. Given our insane immigration policies, I’m betting there are quite a few ex-military/ex-militia living there in Missouri. You can be sure they will be dialing their kin back home as well. Garden variety white people would be fleeing to the suburbs. I’m thinking these Bosnains are home polishing their weapons tonight.

My Christmas present to myself came in

and I want to show it off

Something suitable to sip from whilst watching monster movies.  Or sitting around with weaponry on Halloween.

It's from the same lady who made my anvil-decorated cup
story behind that and her contact info here if you haven't read it.

And later tonight, it shall be christened.  Not with the same stuff, unfortunately, but decent whiskey

Yes, the IRS did it.

Yes, they broke laws and ethics to do it.  Yes, they tried to cover it up, and lied while doing so.

Fire and prosecute every one of them who broke said laws.  They give average people who unknowingly break of of their convoluted laws no mercy, so why should they get any?

Short version: if you want actual investigation before you label someone a rapist, you're a 'rape truther'.

Absolutely seriously: some people would look better dead, and Boko Haram is right at the top of the list.
As someone said, even the Nazis tried to hide a lot of what they did; these bastards brag of it.

From where Great Britain used to be

A PENSIONER was taken from his home, locked in a police cell overnight and charged with a “hate crime” after he was overheard using the word “tinks” in his own garden.

Retired Ian MacGregor, who has never been in trouble before and has no criminal record, was left visibly shaken after he was forced to appear in court on his 71st birthday.

The treatment of the pensioner, who was not reported to the police until two days after the comment was made, has been condemned as totally disproportionate by politicians.
And everybody else with three working brain cells.

Oh, guess what the Cuban government did the day before our own Dear Leader gave them a boost?
The day before President Barack Obama announced to the world his administration’s unilateral decision to normalize trade and diplomatic relations with Cuba, Cuba’s Coast Guard sunk a small, rickety boat full of refugees attempting to flee to America.
Can't have the commoners trying to escape the Peoples' Paradise, now can they?

Hey, how can the be like the cool kids if they can't dress and drive around like they're in Fallujah?

Oh yeah

This horrific interstitial stage of decomposition is where the unhappy modern feminist movement currently finds itself: emitting noxious odours, but well on the way to decay and skeletonisation, long past the point where CPR would have any effect on the brain.
Starting with the 'manspreading' bullshit and going from there.

Oh, isn't THIS interesting?
Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “Media Buzz,” investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson said the CDC is not putting out the current information on how many potential cases of Ebola they are currently tracking in the Untied States.

Attkisson said, “I called CDC not long ago and I said how many cases are being monitored in the United States and they said 1,400. I said, ‘Where are these updates on your website? ‘ They said they’re not putting it on the web. This is public information we have a right to know and the media should not hype it, but should cover it.”

Guys, this kind of crap is one of the reasons so many people are pissed at you; you really thing doubling-down on it is a good idea?
And yet, the message hasn't gotten through. A man was harassed and had his cellphone battery stolen by an officer who claimed he was interfering with an arrest occurring 30 feet away. NYPD officers have tried other tactics as well, such as laughably claiming a cellphone could be a gun. A man is choked to death by an NYPD officer -- with the whole incident being recorded -- and police officers claim the citizens who record cops are to blame.

But the message hasn't gotten through. And why should it? As some have openly stated, respecting this right has no upside for police officers. So, they continue to harass and threaten members of the public who try to exercise this right. The incident captured here is particularly chilling. As Reason's Ed Krayewski points out, the officer caught on tape here delivers an implicit threat of violence to the person wielding the camera. (The confrontation begins about 2:30 into the video.)
Read the case in Houston, where it's pointed out just how many laws the officer breaks.  Not helpful.

'No boots on the ground' my ass.

Slimy little bugger, is he not?

And last, the wonders of 'Green' Energy:
The cost of household electricity will rise by as much as 40 per cent by the end of the decade because of the Government’s green energy policies.

Official figures — initially withheld by ministers — show an alarming increase in the price of electricity caused by generous subsidies to wind farms as well as other policies.

An average household is expected to pay as much as £250 more for electricity – mainly through consumer subsidies – to pay for the Government’s green energy schemes, while an electrically heated house could be as much as £440 a year worse off.

And by 2030, when thousands of planned offshore wind turbines are finally operating, the burden will be even greater, the numbers show. The average household could be paying an extra 60 per cent for electricity – equivalent to £350 more a year.
And what is the excuse for withholding the information?  Why, because the peasants aren't smart enough to understand it, of course!
A DECC spokesman said a decision had been taken to withhold the tables because it was “thought to be confusing”.

"Silly peasants, you're just Congress,

you have no need to know what I do."

Danny Cohen, a British television executive, said Sunday in Israel, “I’ve never felt so uncomfortable being a Jew in the UK as I’ve felt in the last 12 months. And it’s made me think about, you know, is it our long-term home, actually.”

A driver shouted “Allahu Akbar” (“God is the greatest”) while running down pedestrians in Dijon, France, Reuters reported.

The man injured 11 people Sunday, two seriously, during a 30-minute spree in which he targeted pedestrians in five different parts of the city, the BBC reported, citing French media. The lives of the two people seriously injured are reportedly not in danger.

Somehow, I don't think it's militia groups or right-wingers*

that're killing cops.  Hasn't been, either.  But that didn't stop Time from pushing the Preferred Narrative™.

*Anyone to the right of Comrade Mayor of NYC

Pest control, and other things

Yes, this one'll offend some people; oh well.  It IS rather wide-ranging, probably should've been Jihadi Load

Well, Sharpton got what his followers were chanting for,

and he's trying hard as he can to run away from it.
Sharpton has released a statement saying, 'We plan to hold a press conference in the morning to express our outrage and our condolences to the families and the police department'
Yeah, it was your crowd chanting
What do we want?
Dead cops
When do we want it?
Now!
a couple of nights ago, but now you're 'outraged'?  Really?  More like "Oh crap, someone actually did it!  This means trouble for me!"

And Comrade Mayor is finding out that trying to play both ends against the middle sometimes gets things broken.  Like losing all support from the cops.*
What's more, many feel that de Blasio should not attend the officers' funerals, this after many members of the NYPD signed a petition asking that the Mayor not attend their service should they be killed in the line of duty in light of his recent actions.

This as hundreds of NYPD members turned their backs on de Blasio as he entered a news conference Saturday afternoon.

On the other side: shit like this is why respect for cops is lower and lower, and why DAs and judges are on the same slide:
A well-meaning friend of Chad Chadwick called the Missouri City, TX police to say that he was afraid that Chadwick was having emotional difficulties; the cops lied to a judge to say that they had reason to believe Chadwick was heavily armed, then they sent a SWAT-team to his house (where he was asleep in the tub), beat 11 kinds of shit out of him, gave him permanent hearing loss, held him in solitary confinement, fraudulently accused him of resisting arrest, and tried to have him imprisoned -- he was acquitted, but a judge wouldn't punish the cops or the DA, because "There is no freestanding constitutional right to be free from malicious prosecution."
And every asshole with badge who took part in this will whine and bitch that people don't respect them, and don't support them.  And the nasty ones will be thinking- or saying- "At least they fear me."

*Argue about chokehold or not all you want; those bastards just stood around while the man died.  Every one of them should've faced, if not criminal charges, SOME kind of real sanction.  That they didn't is a nasty blotch on that department.  Pointing that out isn't 'not supporting the cops', but a lot of them see it that way.
Big problem is Comrade Mayor tried to play "You are all wonderful people(long as you see the tax money keep coming in)" same time as he was sucking up to Sharpton & Co.; it didn't work.
