And, as I have remembered what day of the week this is,

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Another mix this evening, starting with a pub owner who told a climate asshat

Then, having administered a flurry of rhetorical punches, the pub moved in to deliver the knockout blow: ‘Maybe call in some time and I’ll give you my carbon footprint up your hole.’
Which sounds like a fine idea.

England’s Chief Medical Officer testified before the (token and pointless) Covid Inquiry earlier today, claiming he feared the government “overdid it” when talking up the dangers of Covid. No kidding, Chrisyou dickhead(fixed it for them).

From a man who grew up in Venezuela, he thinks the gangs in Chicago are probably not prepared for the level of violence and cruelty they'll face if it does come to open fighting between them and Tren de Aragua and others.

And, in the latest from (formerly Great)Britain: Report a rape, go to jail.

There's more, but I'm out of time, so will try to get some of them tomorrow.

Forgotten last night due to tired, that first of those days posts,

it's late but it's here

Some things before I go outside to take care of a couple of things

Of course the socialists want to give more money to the UN, especially to an agency that will harm Jews for them.

Yes, Biden is still a screaming asshole lying hoplophobe.

Being vaccinated against Covid sharply increased the risk heart attack patients would die or suffer heart failure after heart attacks, a major new peer-reviewed study in leading journal Vaccine shows. Alex Berenson has written about the study on his Substack, Unreported Truths.

Speaking of the NIH, more on how Fauci helps screw the world.

Oh, holy shit...

The owners of NoHo Diagnostic Center are suing the LAPD, the city of Los Angeles and multiple police officers, alleging they violated the business owners’ constitutional rights and demanding an unspecified amount in damages. Officers allegedly raided the diagnostic center, located in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles, thinking it was a front for an illegal cannabis cultivation facility, pointing to higher-than-usual energy use and the “distinct odor” of cannabis plants, according to the lawsuit.

Officers raided the facility on Oct. 18, 2023, and detained the lone female employee while they searched the business, the lawsuit said. However, they didn’t find a single cannabis plant and only saw a typical medical facility with rooms used for conducting x-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRIs, the owners said.
...

At one point, an officer walked into an MRI room, past a sign warning that metal was prohibited inside, with his rifle “dangling… in his right hand, with an unsecured strap,” the lawsuit said. The MRI machine’s magnetic force then allegedly sucked his rifle across the room, pinning it against the machine. MRI machines are tube-shaped scanners that use incredibly strong magnetic fields to create images of the brain, bones, joints and other internal organs.

An officer then allegedly pulled a sealed emergency release button that shut the MRI machine down, deactivating it, evaporating thousands of liters of helium gas and damaging the machine in the process. The officer then grabbed his rifle and left the room, leaving behind a magazine filled with bullets on the office floor, according to the lawsuit.
I am informed that, besides any damage done by the rifle impacting the machine, dumping the helium that way can cause very expensive and permanent damage.  I'd hope at least some of it comes out of the pockets of these idiot Drug Warriors.
'Higher than usual energy use'...

Mayhap there are some nice experiments that could be performed on the NIH bastards

involved in this.

The folks at White Coat Waste, a trans-partisan non-profit advocacy group based in the nation's capital, earlier this week released a new study documenting that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is "still shipping U.S. tax dollars to dozens of Chinese animal labs… including labs torturing beagles as young as one day old."

"Documents uncovered through WCW’s investigation detail how NIH-funded labs in China are killing Beagles as young as one day old and severing Beagle puppies’ spinal cords. In one published experiment, white coats at a Chinese government lab write that 'the dogs were executed,'” WCW continued.

Much of the experiments include severing the animal's spine, thus rendering its back legs useless and forcing the poor creature to drag itself around using only its front legs. Once the animal's usefulness in the experiment is past, it is, to use the Chinese lab's designation, "executed."

And still these assholes are doing deals with the PRC to do things they can't get away with here...
Obviously this agency has far too much money to play with, severe budget cuts are in order.

People don't want to get the Wuhan and flu vaccines, so obviously

it's not that you people screwed the trust people had in you, it's that you haven't done it hard enough.
"We must build trust by enhancing our support for people in using science and evidence to make personally appropriate decisions regarding vaccines and other health choices," Dr. Reed Tuckson, cofounder of the Black Coalition Against COVID, said in an NFID news release.

Try not lying to them over and over, that might just work wonders.  If you can build back enough trust for that to work.

Just a few as a placeholder

Obviously they have no awareness of my capabilities

Damn, I wish Milei could run for President here,

and taking a chainsaw to the bureaucracy is only one reason.

At the UN, Milei sounded more American than Trump. The Argentine president told the UN, “I want to be clear about something, so there are no misinterpretations. Argentina, which is undergoing a profound process of change at the present, has decided to embrace the ideas of freedom.

“Those ideas that say that all citizens are born free and equal before the law, that we have inalienable rights granted by the creator, among which are the right to life, liberty and property.”
...

He told the UN, “World history shows that the only way to guarantee prosperity is by limiting the power of the monarch, guaranteeing equality before the law, and defending the right to life, liberty, and property of individuals.”

He spoke with the eloquence of Jefferson: “We believe in the defense of life, for all. We believe in the defense of property, for all. We believe in freedom of expression, for all. We believe in freedom of worship, for all. We believe in freedom of commerce, for all. And we believe in limited governments, all of them.”

It's nice when the enemy admits just how corrupt the Do'J' is

Holy shlit. Democrat delegate to the US House of Representatives accidentally says the quiet part out loud.

She admits the DOJ and FBI are weaponized to go after people with opposing views.

The DOJ and FBI "serve as a check against white nationalism, great replacement… pic.twitter.com/KRIVtAwCkM

I had a chance to try out those Lee bullet loads, and let's say

the accuracy won't send me out to buy a new  mould.  Not horrible, but nothing to brag about.

Also: the second loads that I left to max length?  If there's any fouling in the throat, they won't chamber.  As in "Clean the bore, chamber one, fire it to foul the bore, blow tube, now the next round won't chamber."

So much for that idea.  I'll try seating the bullets a little deeper and see if that works.

This information from New Zealand and Spain says two things: A bunch of .gov clowns lied (link fixed)

lied and are still lying about the mRNA vaccine, and the bastards are still lying.

A bunch of people in a bunch of countries need to hang over this.

Incompetence can only cover so much,

Overall this looks more like a mix of that and "Let's let someone kill him."

USSS personnel were notified of a suspicious person with a rangefinder around the AGR building approximately 27 minutes before the shooting … [it] was relayed to the USSS Security Room at approximately 5:44 pm and to the USSS Counter Sniper Team Leader at 5:45 pm. Shortly after, USSS personnel, including a Counter Sniper Response agent, engaged in an on-the-ground effort to locate the individual. However, the USSS Lead Advance Agent, Site Agent, and Site Counterpart all told the Committee they did not receive this information and therefore did not know local law enforcement had identified a suspicious person with a rangefinder — and that those local officers later lost track of this individual — until after shots were fired.

USSS was notified about an individual on the AGR roof approximately two minutes before [Thomas M.] Crooks fired from AGR roof.  Three minutes before shots were fired, a local law enforcement officer sent out a radio alert that there was an individual on the AGR roof. This information was passed to the USSS Security Room approximately two minutes before Crooks fired. Approximately 22 seconds before Crooks fired, a local officer sent out a radio alert that the individual on the AGR roof was armed, but that was [allegedly] not relayed to key USSS personnel that the Committee spoke with.

The report continues:

Shortly before shots were fired, a USSS counter sniper saw local law enforcement running toward the AGR building with their guns drawn, but he did not alert former President Trump’s protective detail to remove him from the stage. The USSS counter sniper told the Committee … the thought to notify someone to get Trump off the stage ‘“did not cross [his] mind.”

USSS counter snipers — including the one who shot and killed Crooks — were sent to the rally in response to ‘credible intelligence’ of a threat. The July 13 rally was the first time a USSS counter sniper team was assigned to a protectee other than the President, Vice President, or a presidential candidate who had been formally nominated by his or her party… [but of] the USSS personnel interview by the Committee, nearly all … said they were unaware of any credible intelligence of a threat.

And yes, there's more.  There's a link to the full report, too.  I've only done a quick scan, but I can say this: the table of contents is enough to get your Breakables Alert in effect.

Zuckerbitch, if you were libertarian

you wouldn't still be playing the same censorship games.  Fuck you.

I'm sure someone will inform us that it's racist

to be concerned about this.
The vicious Venezuelan migrant gang Tren de Aragua is luring desperate women deep into the heart of the US, forcing them to sell their bodies on the streets of American cities to pay off exorbitant smuggling fees, a newly leaked law enforcement document obtained by The Post reveals.

At least eight states have seen an explosion in migrant prostitution since the gang laid down roots in the US, with authorities in Texas, Nevada, Illinois, California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey and New York now fighting to curtail the sex trade, the memo shows.

And various politicians will tell us there's nothing to it, "We have no confirmation of this", or something else along those lines.

How stupid is it in the .gov?

...Nonetheless, we were forced to kidnap a seal, strap it to a board, put headphones on the seal, and play sonic boom sounds to it to see if it would be distressed. This is an actual thing that happened. This is actually real. I have pictures. It's a seal with headphones strapped to a board.

Now, the amazing part is how calm the seal was. Because if I was a seal, I'd be like, this is the end. They're definitely going to eat me. When the seal goes back to other seal friends, how's he going to explain that? Never going to believe him. That's why I'm like, well, it's like getting kidnapped by aliens and getting an anal probe. You come back and say, I swear to God, I got kidnapped by aliens, they stuck an anal probe in my butt. And people are like, no, that's ridiculous. His seal buddies are never going to believe him that he gets strapped to a board, and they put headphones on his ears and then let him go.

I don't think the public is quite aware of the madness that goes on."

Whole story here

Everyone in those January 6 hearingsinquisitions

who had any part of hiding this should be flogged.  As a start.
Then-President Donald Trump gave clear instructions to Pentagon brass days before the Jan. 6 riots to “do whatever it takes” to keep the U.S. Capitol safe, including deploying National Guard or active-duty troops, but top officials did not comply because of political concerns, according to transcripts of bombshell interviews conducted by the Defense Department's chief watchdog that shine new light on government disfunction ahead of the historic tragedy.

Gen. Mark Milley, the former chairman of the Joints Chief of Staff, confirmed to the Pentagon inspector general three years ago that during a Jan. 3, 2021, Oval Office meeting Trump pre-approved the use of National Guard or active duty troops to keep peace in the nation’s capital on the day Congress was to certify the results of the 2020 election.

Milley's interviews were among several key to transcripts obtained by House Administration Oversight Subcommittee Chairman Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., and shared with Just the News.

Those who, like Cheney, did it because of personal dislike, should then be keelhauled.  Which would be pretty much all of the bastards.

Isn't this a lovely prospect?

But Muhammad, 53, who’s gone straight and runs a street patrol and violence prevention program called Ex-Cons for Community and Social Change says Venezuelan criminal gangs flooding shelters and taking over apartment buildings are the last straw for the struggling African-American community. He says they are furious at seeing government money going to what they call “non-citizens.”

“It is impossible to release gang members and criminals into our country through the borders and broken walls and infiltrate them in our community that’s already impoverished and broken,” Muhammad told The Post last week on the O Block, a stretch along South King Drive that’s considered the most dangerous in the city.

“When the black gangs here get fed up with the illegalities and criminal activities of these migrants or non-citizens, the city of Chicago is going to go up in flames and there will be nothing the National Guard or the government can do about it when the bloodshed hits the streets. It’ll be blacks against migrants.”

The latest figures show Chicago has spent almost half a billion dollars over the last two years on the more than 42,000 migrants who’ve arrived since 2022.

Many have been given money for rent, food stamp cards and even cars — and some landlords have pushed out local African-Americans because they can get more government money for housing migrants.

And this sounds familiar:

“The real issue is that America has allowed gangs to enter our country,” said a young Gangster Disciples member, David, standing on a high-volume drug-dealing corner near Martin Luther King Blvd.

“Gangs that they would consider ex-terrorist groups. They let terrorist groups into our country!” he yelled angrily to the Post.

How many other cities, I wonder?  And when it happens, how many of the cops those cities have treated like crap are going to want to get in to open battles to try and stop it?  And how many innocents will be caught in the middle?

Remember the concerns about the nitrocellulose supply?

Also the questions about why the HELL anyone thought letting us get dependent on the PRC for important supplies was a good idea?

Antimony’s Critical Role

Antimony is a crucial material for the U.S. defense sector, particularly for hardening lead bullets and creating other munitions. The closure of domestic antimony mines in the early 2000s has left the U.S. entirely dependent on foreign sources, with China being the most significant supplier. Recent efforts, such as the proposed reopening of the Stibnite Gold Mine in Idaho, are intended to reduce reliance on Chinese imports. However, these projects will take years to come online, meaning the U.S. remains vulnerable to supply chain disruptions in the short term.

Nitrocellulose and Ammunition Production

Nitrocellulose, another critical component in ammunition manufacturing, has also become a point of geopolitical tension. Nitrocellulose is used in propellant powder and is necessary for both firearms and artillery. Europe, too, has felt the pinch, as European countries rely on China for the bulk of their nitrocellulose imports to supply Ukraine with ammunition during its ongoing conflict with Russia.

In May 2024, a major nitrocellulose plant in Hubei province, China, exploded, further tightening the supply chain. Although nitrocellulose is relatively simple to produce, its hazardous nature means that only a few companies are qualified to handle its production. With China now restricting its exports of nitrocellulose, European and U.S. ammunition manufacturers are scrambling to find alternative sources.

I guarantee that any actions to expand mining and manufacture here, and in friendly places, are going to have the watermelons* screaming against it to 'save Mother Gaia', and the leftists will want to stop it because it will weaken us.

A collection of stuff this morning, starting with

"Hm.  College is hugely expensive, a lot of the teachers and professors are bigoted leftist nutcases, and a lot of these degrees aren't worth crap for earning a living.  Or, this stuff gets my hands dirty and pays.  What to do..."

"Just an ordinary house in southern Lebanon.  Ignore all those secondary explosions, I'm sure they don't mean anything."

The Administration realized people who murder hostages may not be negotiating in good faith.
How long it took for that to sink in...

Ammo.com has a study on gun laws vs. crime rates this year.
I've only skimmed it, no time to read it all as yet.

A picture of the SKS the latest(that we know of) Trump assassin wannabe used.  I don't know if he thought the tape secured the scope better or was trying to hold the trigger group in, or what.

Speaking of people trying to kill Trump(or get him killed), our Do'J' demonstrates what asshats they are.

You may have heard some reporter is in trouble for 'having an affair' with RFK Jr.  If you're interested, there's a fairly complete, from what I've heard, breakdown of this mess, with Ace figuring a lot of this is based on "RFK Jr. is a traitor to the Cause, we must damage him so his endorsement won't help!", which could well be true.
I don't know what to think here.

I guess, first of all: Journalists are a mentally-ill, morally rotten lot. They tend to be psychopaths or borderline psychopaths. They routinely deceive people into revealing personal information that they then use to destroy those people. Yes, this is the job, but what kind of psychopath wants that kind of job?

Second, one of these stories reports that New York Magazine knew about this "relationship," whatever it was, for months. So why reveal it now? Well, you reveal it now to destroy RFKJr., to keep his endorsement from helping Trump.

Third, the affair, or almost-affair, between "reporter" and "source" is common in DC. The entire town is filled with sluts, adulterers, cads, and outright perverts. But the DC press corps refuses to report on this out of "professional courtesy," and Mutual Assured Destruction.

But they decided to risk the M.A.D. because it was really, really important to them to Get Trump.

95% of all press behavior (and bureaucrat behavior) of the past eight years is explained by this. They keep breaking all rules and violating all codes of ethics -- or, here, a prudent group agreement to keep all of their many, many affairs and grotesque sexual deviancies private -- because the imperative of stopping Trump is more important than any ethic, rule, or prudent social compact about hiding everyone's affairs.

Ray Bradbury wrote "“There is more than one way to burn a book. And the world is full of people running about with lit matches.”
That includes not just government control freaks, but fucking idiots who apparently think they'll either be immune from the rules or be in charge of them.
'Writers and academics', why am I not surprised?

And with that, I've got to go do things.

Be it noted that Blogger is bloggered again,

and I can't post photos.  If you've run into this, any suggestions?  "You must be signed in" when you're already signed in, you click on the sign-in box, it brings up a 'select pictures' box, which does nothing.

Jeez.  Again.

Over the weekend had a chance to try this out, the Walther Magnum Pistol

(picture will be added when Google stops googling things up and allows)(Ah, it allowed!)

Magnum meaning .22 Magnum.  Polymer frame, aluminum slide, all the specs on their page.

It's a big pistol, until you pick it up and look at the muzzle you'd think it was a .45.  The one available had a Holosun red dot.  Only had ten rounds to try, so ran the target to ten yards and found
Grip fit the hand nicely.
Very nice trigger.
Grouped very well.
And .22 Mag, in this length barrel, roared and gave a big muzzle flash with almost no recoil.

First impression: if I had the money to buy a new pistol just for fun, this would likely be it.  Time will tell how it stands up, but with aluminum instead of zinc for the slide it'll probably do well.

In Canuckistan, where hate speech and discrimination is supposed to be unallowed

Those critters do weird some people out

Son's second time in Iraq, his unit got the honor of starting setup of a new Forward Operating Base at what he was told had been a railroad station in the long past, and a monastery before that(so he was told).  That meant getting the buildings remaining habitable, building up some supplies, security, etc.

They got there, walked into one building, one guy looked up: "Holy shit, what's that?"
Son looks up, "It's a bat."
"Fuck, do we shoot it?"  Remember what I said about weirding people out?
"No, you don't shoot it!  They eat bugs, and it won't hurt you, find a ladder."
Ladder was found, gloves donned, and this fearsome beast was taken from the rafters,
taken outside and placed in a bush.

After the engineers had set up generators, said at night you could watch bugs swarming around the lights, and lots of bats taking advantage of the buffet.
