Some of that stuff I was going to write about yesterday and a couple of new ones
A bunch of cops and busybodies who really need some talking to. In the cops case it should involve "You don't have anything better to do?"
And when a parent asks 'What law says this?" and the cop in charge tells them 'Google it', you know they're full of shit.
For some reason the "BELIEVE ALL WOMEN!" and "METOO!" types have little to nothing to say about how Hamas, and a lot of True Believers in Islam consider, and treat, women.
Probably too busy attending anti-Jew rallies to care. I'll note there was little said about the child rape and slavery gangs in Britain, either.
Now: "Even if Biden did shower with is daughter, it's no big deal, lots of fathers do it!"
Does that sound to you like "Let's get in front of this and try to minimize it before something bad comes out"?
(formerly Great)Britain:
Jose and Ted Saunders said they were “shocked” to be told by North Northamptonshire Council that their mid-terraced house in Rushden, near Wellingborough, was deemed to be empty or derelict, enabling the authority to force them to sell it.
...
Three days after receiving the letter, the Saunders got an apology, saying council staff had mistakenly earmarked the house for possible compulsory purchase.
'Mistakenly'
It comes after The Telegraph revealed on Tuesday that the Home Office has quietly built up a stock of 16,000 properties for asylum seekers despite acute shortages of homes for young workers and families.

Like some Democrats mistakenly admitted a while back, you know who they really care about.
And I'll bet they- some councils at least- are quite willing to start taking homes that aren't vacant because "You're a retired couple and this house is too big for you, we're seizi- ah, making a compulsory purchase for the greater good(of the immigrants)."

Brought to you by the Stalin-wannabes, hypocrites, and hysterics at COP28
This was the largest such summit in terms of numbers of attendees — an estimated 100,000 of them — compared to the 49,000 people who attended the previous COP27 Summit in Cairo. As climate alarmists would say of any event of similar size, the Dubai Summit stamped the largest carbon footprint of the entire U.N. COP series in their ceaseless quest to lower carbon emissions.
Keen-eyed journalists spotted an even more embarrassing aspect: in addition to the many commercial flights arriving and leaving Dubai airport around the conference time, there were private planes from as far afield as Nigeria, Switzerland, Japan, and India. It’s unlikely that most of the really important VIPs present—including King Charles III, U.K. PM Rishi Sunak, Japan’s PM Fumio Kishida, France’s President Macron, and Vice-President Kamala Harris—flew commercial, let alone “coach.” And then there are the world’s CEOs. In short the Climate Navy has a growing surplus of Admirals.
Climate-virtue-signaling celebrities such as U.S. special climate envoy John Kerry (soon to retire from the august post in order to join the Biden re-election campaign) are wont to dismiss such journalistic sniping as irrelevant trivialities in comparison with the great cause of "climate rescue." Even if that argument were valid—and it’s not obvious why ordinary citizens should sacrifice their living standards for the climate when policy-makers exempt themselves—it would still depend for its persuasiveness on whether the Dubai COP had succeeded in halting or reversing the rise in climate emissions.

How did Dubai meet that test?
As well as you'd expect.

I think, that a lot of the left still doesn't understand
just how much some of the 'get Trump at any cost' idiocy has pissed off a LOT of people. Including actual liberals. So they keep pushing it because 'Anything is fair to save us from him!' Which brings us to Kevin's post. An excerpt from:
Public intellectual Sam Harris, who is a philosopher, neuroscientist and author, was on a podcast wherein he defended the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story. This man who advocates for Truth and Reason argued that it was a good thing that the story was suppressed, but he went even further:
See what I mean?
So, SWAT raids on his home? Warranted.
Treason accusations? Warranted.
Rape accusations? Warranted.
Bogus prosecutions? Warranted.
And is pisses off more people who see what a political hit job this is, conducted by courts and federal and state agencies. Including a DA who ran for office on "I'm going to get Trump!" They keep pushing, and saying things that, if someone on the right/center said them about a Democrat, would have every one of the Usual Suspects screaming that "You're inciting people to kill him!"
"But it's DIFFERENT when WE do it!" Etc. With no concern for the damage done to the courts and the justice system. Because they just don't care as long as they get what they want. Which means this is likely to get real messy.

Absolutely it was. Absolutely. But I think it was warranted. I don’t care what’s in Hunter Biden’s laptop. At that point, Hunter Biden literally could have had the corpses of children in his basement. I would not have cared.“He then pivoted to an outlandish analogy that compared keeping Trump from winning a second term to working to ‘deflect’ an ‘asteroid hurtling toward Earth.'” (Source: New York Post.)

Since so many teachers think like this bitch,
it's one more piece of evidence why you cannot trust most teachers to not play good little indoctrinator.
CTU President Stacy Davis Gates is sending her freshman son to a Catholic school on the South Side of Chicago.
In her defense of the decision, Davis Gates criticized school choice, blaming such policies for the lack of resources at Chicago’s public schools.
“It was a very difficult decision for us because there is not a lot to offer black youth who are entering high school” in Chicago, Davis Gates told WBEZ.
Ah, who's been running these schools for decades?
But wait! There's MORE!
“School choice was actually the choice of racists. It was created to avoid integrating schools with Black children. Now it’s the civil rights struggle of our generation?” she wrote on X last year.
Oh, of course it is...
Wouldn't it be interesting to know how many of these anti-choice teachers send their kids to private or parochial schools?

Last year at Sturgis, all the experts screamed and yelled and demanded it be canceled because
"Super Spreader Event!", etc. And there was a 'study' after that turned out to be based on guesses and estimates, not actual numbers, that said it was. Except some people who'd actually been keeping track and checking found there'd been, as I recall, less than a hundred people who got Wuhan and actually got sick. Out of, what, 200,000 at least?
Comes now. Fauci is, of course, insisting Sturgis should be canceled. Except the bastard had nothing to say about Obama's birthday party. "You're going to get to do that in the future" says the bastard, as if he has total control over what we're all allowed to do. He really needs to go away, along with every one of his ass-kissers in our 'pretending to be reporters' media.

Case of "I'm agreeing with Democrats, but for the wrong reason
from their view:
Letting legislators bring guns onto the U.S. Capitol grounds or into their offices hasn’t been a problem for 242 years. But Democrats are now promising to end that practice when they retake control of the House of Representatives next month.
The Democrats want to end it because they don't want anyone except .gov minions with badges to have guns. I want it to end because "If you asshats don't want to let the commoners carry in DC, YOU CAN'T EITHER."
I would add "And, since they insist "We have police, you don't need a gun", I'll add in "No politician should be allowed to hire private security or get special consideration from the police, Secret Service, or anyone else beyond that which an average citizen gets."

A demonstration of why I despise Feinstein,
and have come to despise and loathe most of the Evil Party leadership: from the Kavanaugh hearings
"Let's play word games to do anything we can to ban everything we can." I could come to actually hate these people.
Let us remember, also, that in her attempt at Assault Weapons Ban, Part II, she not only had a looong list of specific firearms, but expanded her definition of 'assault weapon' so as to cover just about every semi-auto firearm in existence. And now claims they're 'not commonly used'.

How safe is your area?
Some interesting pics and observations from different places.
The degree to which buildings are hardened against entry are one indicator. Another is just how many or few women are out after dusk. In Strasbourg and Paris, they suddenly became very uncommon after nightfall, while men were out in great numbers. I have a faint suspicion that the amount of crime and the lack of legal personal defense tools had something to do with this as well.
Which makes me recall all the anti-gun politicians and activists(Watts, for instance, and her controller Bloomberg) who live in gated or otherwise access-restricted places, often with armed guards to keep their precious ass safe. All the while insisting that wanting a firearm of your own is horrible and unsafe and shouldn't be allowed.

If you remember the name 'Father Pfleger',
you'll just love this:
An armed security guard associated with staunch anti-gun and nationally known social activist, Father Michael Pfleger, was arrested on May 27 outside St. Sabina’s Roman Catholic Church on the South Side where Pfleger is a senior pastor.
The Chicago Police (CPD) charged Henry Eugene Hale, 35, with possessing a firearm without a valid Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card. He was released on $150 bond.
Yep, another "We must ban guns(except for those protecting my precious ass)" clown on display.
And think some plain citizen arrested for the same would get out on that bond? Fat effing chance. And let's see if he's prosecuted the way a citizen not associated with a famous/rich/connected someone would be.
Ass-covering time:
Susan Thomas, a spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of Chicago, wrote in an email that "Fr. Pfleger does not have armed security and to our knowledge, neither does any other priest."
Except he's been spotted in public with armed security before. So is she outright lying, or is this a 'Nobody told ME about such, so I know nothing!' routine?

Secretary of Army nominee actually believes in Constitution; HuffPo loses mind
Such as it was.
Amanda Terkel, the melodramatic politics editor of the Huffington Post, mocked Green’s constitutionally-accurate position, noting that in a 2013 speech, Green said citizens should be able to own pretty much whatever they want, including aircraft carriers. She thought that the idea of Americans owning warships was absurd.
Nicely said.
Some of the people they accused need to find out who these idiots are, and sue them for damages. And if it turns out the school knew and did nothing, add them to it.
That would get your attention.

I have posed these kinds of questions to environmental activists many times and never received an answer other than, “You must hate science.” I really don’t hate science, though. I love science. I hate faux-science. I hate leftist dogma disguised as science. I hate activism that calls itself science. I hate bad conclusions drawn from science. I hate hypocrisy. I hate inconsistency. These also happen to be all of the reasons why I hate climate change alarmism.

Been a long time since I read Farenheit 451,
and I hadn't remembered this bit about how the burning started:
I don't want to hear another damned word from these bloody hypocrites about someone else's carbon footprint.
Short version: "If you let people fix this themselves, or pay someone else, WE won't be able to charge an arm and leg for it!"
So UC Berkeley said "We had no idea this might happen!" And they lied:
Damn.
The head of the Swedish ambulance drivers' union confirmed in a recent interview with journalist Paulina Neuding the existence of "no-go zones" where it is too dangerous to enter without police protection.
...
Grattidge explained to Neuding that the problem with these areas is linked directly to immigration policy in the country. "In these areas, the no-go zones, the majority of the people are immigrants."
Gattridge went on to tell Neuding that ambulance drivers are blocked from leaving these areas and have had rocks thrown at them. He also said "hand grendes have been thrown at police" in majority-immigrant areas.
That's the nicest way of saying "The idiot pulled the trigger when he shouldn't have" I've ever read.
“made an error of manipulation whilst changing position”
“You must understand that our civilization is so vast that we can’t have our minorities upset and stirred. Ask yourself, What do we want in this country above all? People want to be happy, isn’t that right?…Colored people don’t like Little Black Sambo. Burn it. White people don’t feel good about Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Burn it. Someone’s written a book on tobacco and cancer of the lungs? The cigarette people are weeping? Burn the book. Serenity, Montag. Peace, Montag. Take your fight outside. Better yet, to the incinerator.”And before you get offended, let’s clarify what Bradbury means by minorities. He’s not talking about race. He’s talking about it in the same way that Madison and Hamilton did in the Federalist Papers. He’s speaking about small, interested groups who try to force the rest of the majority to adhere to the minority’s set of beliefs.
I don't want to hear another damned word from these bloody hypocrites about someone else's carbon footprint.
Short version: "If you let people fix this themselves, or pay someone else, WE won't be able to charge an arm and leg for it!"
So UC Berkeley said "We had no idea this might happen!" And they lied:
...They asserted that the violent protests—sparked by an appearance by conservative provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos—weren’t something that they ever could have anticipated.
But emails between the college and officials with the city of Berkeley’s Mayoral Office seem to contradict that notion. The emails, acquired by Heat Street through the California Public Records Act, show that UC Berkeley had actually written to city officials in the days leading up to the event warning about the possibility of large numbers of “off campus protesters” and the potential for the protests to “spill over into adjacent streets and neighborhood.”
In addition, the emails also reveal that an anarchist group that has claimed responsibility for sparking the chaos emailed city officials more than a week before the event to inform them that they were planning to “defend” the college from hate speech.
Damn.

"ANY excuse to ban guns is good,
no matter how hypocritical."
So of course they want it both ways:
"I moved near this shooting range, and guns are loud, so I want it closed!" goes with
"Guns are loud, and that's a safety feature, don't let the gun nuts quiet them down!"
They also demonstrate further ignorance of what they speak of:
Further proliferation of silencers would also have the commercial benefit of boosting gun sales, because most existing guns do not have the threaded barrels necessary to attach them.
Because they never heard of threading barrels, or adapters, or- for some firearms- getting a threaded barrel and dropping it in.
Asshats.

Yes, it does.
Wonder if any of them have the brains to realize it, or if they're just unwilling to deal with this?
“The media took it lying down for eight years when the press secretary of other people in the Obama administration explicitly said false things about Benghazi, lied about the extent of the IRS targeting of conservatives, lied about cash transfers to Iran, bragged about making an echo chamber to pass the Iran deal, and had a president himself saying repeatedly ‘If you like your healthcare plan you can keep it’ a gazillion times while millions of people lost their healthcare plans,” she said. “A media that doesn’t push back against that type of falsehood for eight years and then gets all upset at Sean Spicer talking about numbers is not going to be taken seriously at all.”
Yes, Warren's a liar and a hypocrite; anyone surprised by this?

If pants did catch on fire, Obama would have third-degree burns on his ass
In March 2015, The New York Times reported that Obama said he didn’t know Clinton was using a private email address. That turned out to be false, as the second FBI report on their investigation into Clinton’s private server revealed that the president used a pseudonym in email communications with her. “How is this not classified?” Clinton aide Huma Abedin asked the FBI during their interview. Obama’s use of a pseudonym suggests he not only was aware of Clinton’s private server, but he knew it wasn’t secured to communicate with Clinton, as there were no security officers to mark the correspondence as classified.
Obama’s administration has intervened to delay several FOIA requests until after Election Day to shield Clinton from further scrutiny.
In October 2015, the White House stopped the release of emails between Clinton and Obama, citing the need to keep presidential communications confidential.
And on, and on.
Standard: "People shouldn't be allowed to own guns! Except for my security guards, of course; that's different, I'm not carrying a gun, I'm paying other people to do it for me."
Remember Gruber, the 'Americans are too stupid' MIT professor who put Obamacare together? He says Hillary has a GREAT! plan. Guess what that means?
This election summed up:
So many leaked emails, so little time...
Oh, and Facebook? I'm supposedly 'infected', but you're doing this? Screw you.
He made the mistake of thinking the snowflakes actually care about free speech.
The world-historical irony of the situation is not lost on Goldberg.
“In their quest to try and stop me from altering the school’s policies, they broke almost every single one of them,” the sophomore told the Fix. “Students not only abused me online, but also in public, in class, and over email.”
“I want to engage in debate,” he added. “I assumed that a group of 18 to 24 year olds would understand the First Amendment, but I was wrong.”
“It’s incredibly ironic to me that they violated almost all of the speech codes in trying to prevent me from eliminating the speech codes.”
Apparently shaming other women is fine if they don't have the preferred political beliefs, or are a threat to a favored politician.
More on that nonexistent vote fraud we're not supposed to worry about.
Noisy training with interesting stuff

Personally I'd say "When are you going to start ACTING like you believe this crap?",
but asking these questions of the weenie would be good. The first three are good:
Not everybody rolls over when the SJBs start screaming, and that's good.
And what are they shoving on your kids or grandkids in their school?
In a language class, as a joke...
I met with my dean the next afternoon. She told me the same thing my professor had: I had called myself handsome and this was unacceptable. My dean tried to make me agree that I would never do this again. I flat out refused. I laid into her about how upset I was about the situation and I said something along the lines of: “If you’re asking me to not be myself, then I guarantee I will end up back in your office again.”
We are doing the wrong thing and going after the wrong people in the name of fairness and justice, I told her. By the end of our conversation, she told me: “Even if I agree with you, I obviously couldn’t say anything…” I had the impression that she was too scared to challenge Columbia’s extreme politically correct culture.
This is a sick damned culture, and they want to bring it here. HAVE brought it here(not sure about the US, but there have been murders like this in Canada).
- How do you square your consistent use of private planes with your green activism?
- You’ve said, “The idea of pursuing material objects your whole life is absolutely soulless.” How do you explain that philosophy in light of your lavish lifestyle?
- Do you think your large carbon footprint is hurting the very cause you support?

Yes, the 'no-fly' list is bullshit.
Always has been. Mr. Korwin puts it nicely:
An arbitrary list, with no checks and balances, no functional controls or due process of any kind, will deny our fundamental constitutional civil and human rights. The man currently in the White House is calling for the list. You're insane if you object, he says.
By implication, if you can't buy a gun, you certainly aren't free to possess any of the firearms you already own, right? Someone should come and take all those dangerous guns away from you because they must be contraband. You're too dangerous to own them. How do you get off the list? You have to sue the federal government.
Mr. Obama wants to turn an arbitrary no-fly list run by the government without rules into an arbitrary no-buy list for your fundamental right to keep and bear arms. The gloves are off, the cat is out of the bag, the lie is bald-faced. There are no known parameters for adding people to the list. The Terrorist Screening Center, a secretive FBI branch you can't deal with, runs it.
This is on the same level as the idiots who insist marijuana must be legal "But we have to ban tobacco!" Vaping helps a lot of people deal with smoking, But...
I have been reminded, in a thread over on Bookface, that communism and socialism will always have apologists, and reminding them of the National Socialists in Germany being socialists really pisses them off. "Oh no, they were not!" for various bullshit reasons.
Because being associated with Stalin and Mao and the gulags and Holodomor is no real problem, but Hitler and his camps is.

If crap like this actually surprises anyone,
they haven't paid attention to just what Hillary and Bill and their friends are.
Cheryl D. Mills, long-time friend and confidant of Bill and Hillary Clinton, is promoting a 23 cents-an-hour wage in the West African nation of Ghana to lure textile and apparel industry companies to invest there even as the former secretary of state advocates a $15-an-hour “livable wage” here.
...
Warnholz also worked at the Clinton State Department with Mills and he promoted the failed Caracol industrial park in Haiti, which emphasized low-wage textile workers and exports. At the time, Warnholz was a senior advisor to the [George] Soros Economic Development Fund. Warnholz was a “senior advisor” to Clinton at the State Department. Other BlackIvy consultants also came from the department.
On the other part of the left hand is Sanders, who's not honest either: Clinton calls herself a 'progressive' because she's not honest enough to say 'socialist', and Sanders calls himself 'socialist' because he's not honest enough to say 'communist'.
They're both liars, and they both suck.
With what's left of the right of self-defense in Britain, at least some judges still think it has some importance.
The Crown Prosecution Service’s householder defence allows residents to use “disproportionate force” when tackling a burglar, which could include lethal force and the use of a weapon depending on the circumstances.
Only “grossly disproportionate” force and a “calculated action of revenge” is illegal.
But Mr Collins’ family, who claim he was not an intruder, argued that those rules are incompatible with Article 2 of the European Convention on Human Rights which guarantees the right to life.
This is also another reason Britain should tell the EU to go piss up a rope.

From those miserable hypocrites at the CSGV
How many times have they called people protecting the 2nd Amendment traitors? Insurrectionists? Enemies? Everything else they can think of?
They've called for us to be put into camps, and talked about how wonderful it would be to see us all killed. And they put this up?

"We don't want to take your guns and magazines, it's a NRA scare tactic!
Except for those we DO want to take, but don't pay attention to that."
Watching Aborn’s attempt to define fear of gun bans as paranoid while arguing in favor of gun bans makes me disinclined to give the benefit of the doubt to the leaders.
Hey, I thought screwing with government records was a crim- oh, yeah, this is done by a Clinton so nobody wants to do anything about it.
Why don't people trust cops, especially federal cops? Because a bunch of them are thieves who'll never pay a price for their stealing.
It appears the F-35 is a bigger piece of crap than we already knew, which is saying something. But the people wasting time, money and resources on it won't have their ass on the line in/because of it, so they don't care.
Darin LaHood is a lying bastard bought-and-paid-for politician. And the establishment Republicans love him.
.@dloesch is having an exchange with a guy from the US Chamber of Commerce much as Jaws had an exchange with Quint's intestines
Standard leftist hypocrite: "I hate smoking(except for grass, that's fine)!"
Under the heading of 'Out of their friggin' minds',
Yeah, except for that 'life destroyed and possible jail' for those falsely accused; and the 'years in prison' thing for actual rapists. But I guess that doesn't count.
On the other hand you have good advice
