What happens when progzi bastards think your children belong to the State:
"You will not train your children correctly, so the State will."
And what's happening in YOUR kid's/grandkid's school?
And what's happening in YOUR kid's/grandkid's school?
Seems appropriate a Evil Party governor is responsible
for this piece of garbage being able to run for office.
First they rob you under color of law; then they lie about how much they stole, and make it as difficult as possible for you to file to get it back, etc.; bastards involved in this should be doing more appropriate work. Say, trash collection(although making good trash collectors work with these clowns might be cruel and unusual punishment).

Progzi college nominates three progzis to create 'unbiased report'
that's biased as hell; however could that happen?
Evergreen’s former Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Michael Zimmerman disputed the “independent” nature of the report, noting that Bridges selected the panel’s members and claiming that the president viewed a draft of the report before the release of the final version.
“The only thing that seems reasonable is that [Bridges] wanted to make sure it didn’t say anything he wasn’t happy with. He was paying for it, he wanted to make sure it said what he wanted it to say,” Zimmerman said.

Remember Wasserman Schultz insisting this case was about 'islamophobia'?
Embattled former Democratic IT aide Imran Awan has as recently as weeks
ago attempted to get someone to create an LLC to hide the ownership of real estate, and two people to buy a $40,000 gold bar for him, sources
told The Daily Caller News Foundation. This while his lawyer has told
The Daily Caller News Foundation that Imran “doesn’t have a pot to piss
in.”
...
Investigators say the alleged congressional fraud may extend to millions of dollars. The FBI is in possession of hundreds of “Suspicious Activity Reports” detailing unusual transfers from Imran’s bank accounts, officials said.
Some wonder why I call it the Evil Party...
An admitted pedophile who served 16 months in federal prison for threatening to assassinate the president of the United States is now running for Congress thanks to former Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe.
In the "We should be more like Britain!" category, at this point that's like saying "Every city should be like Chicago!" Did a little looking at two Brit news sites yesterday, and found
Man bled to death on millionaire's row after being stabbed,
Teenage thug, 19, on bail over two previous assaults killed father-of-two, 20, with a single punch before boasting on Facebook that he'd 'sent him snoring, hahaha'
Two police officers suffer 'horrendous injuries' as one is stabbed in the neck and his female colleague knifed in the arm in 'shocking attack'
That's from two news sites and a quick look over them. Now, let's look at something that might indicate where some of this is coming from:
Children are starting school unable to speak properly, dress themselves or even use the toilet, the head of Ofsted warns today.
In a damning verdict on the standard of some modern-day parenting, Amanda Spielman will highlight the rising number of pre-school children who are not taught basic speech or hygiene.
In a speech to nursery leaders in London today, Mrs Spielman will issue a plea to daycare staff to step in and help such children by teaching them basic skills.
A: For it to be bad enough that this statement came out, it must be really bad.
B: Take note of that last bit: ...a plea to daycare staff...
Why, it's like she doesn't expect a lot of parents to do(or be able to do) anything about this.
While Mrs Spielman will not explicitly accuse families of feckless parenting, she will acknowledge that parents 'clearly have the most important role here' when it comes to solving the issues.
Well, no shit. Yet the progressives keep saying that your kids don't belong to YOU, they belong to the State. And parents who do with their kids what most used to do, are giving their kids an 'unfair advantage' and such shit.
Well, here's where that progzi crap leads to.

A short time ago I finished working on one of those things
that cause you to want to find the grave of the designer and bring him back to life so you can beat him with something large and heavy.
Thank Deity for magnet brooms.

Since the left seems to have discovered love for (some) veterans,
they should have fits over this guy:
I remember, it was before your generation started shooting up the schools David, even though we still had guns. Thank you for confirming..again...that it’s not the gun, it’s person, and in particular you & your peers millennial culture.

History: messy, it is
Especially from that long ago
The discovery of the fossilized skull of a half-mammal and half-reptile creature may rewrite ancient history, specifically regarding the timeline for the breakup of the supercontinent Pangaea.

Sounds like Noblesville Mayor John Ditslear is a standard-issue
lying bastard politician. He claims
“I did approach the owner and I just told him that, ‘No one expected this but you’re hurting your business, in my opinion, strongly, and you’re hurting our city,’ and I asked them to maybe just think about it and take the tent down, and I was asked to leave. And with those types of attitudes, those are very difficult but something needs to happen."
Except
This has been a painful few days for us here at Hoosier Armory. The mayor of Noblesville literally lied about his visit to the shop. He was never asked to leave and he ended the conversation mid-stream and left without allowing us to plead our case. In other words, he told us his feelings about the situation and then left to join the protesters because the news media had arrived.
Sounds about right for a "You should do what I want" politician.

If a bunch of writers freak out and demand "Ban the bitch!" for the awful crime
of pointing out "We really need to deal with the fact that the bad guys may be human, too"...
You don't have to be an 'evil right-wing womyn-hating hatemonger' like Correia to have the Legions of the Perpetually Outraged want you destroyed; you just have to ask a question they don't want to deal with.

Some of the lessons learned from working on an oddball cartridge
Access to a small lathe can be somewhere between 'handy' and 'essential'.
The interwebs is your friend; finding load data and other information without it would be seriously difficult.
Speaking of the web, the fact that you can quickly find
a suitable bullet mold,
people who will sell you suitable bullets,
people who, if necessary, will MAKE you a suitable mold,
is an indication of how well we have it in some ways.
Knowing something about casting besides "Melt the lead and pour it in" can make a unsuitable bullet quite suitable. Speaking of that, I did cast some more of those .32 SWC bullets of 15-1 alloy and we tried them again, also with some other powders. This is that bullet over 7.0 of 2400
That's at 30 yards from a so-so rest. Not a bad group, but the real thing is that all holes are nice and round; that bullet of a harder alloy, out of five two of them hit sideways at that distance. 2400 also seems to work well with the 120-grain RCBS bullet
Both of these are going to be tried at longer distance from a solid rest when we can do it.
Also tried a few with W296; one group quite good, the other five very inconsistent. I think the charges were inconsistent; a couple the recoil and sound was very noticeably lighter, so that will have to be tried again.
On that 'the interwebs is your friend' part, it allowed(among other things) to find this site from Australia which lists what their powders are, what they're named in the US, and has some loads for .310 with two different bullets. That powder equivalents page is hugely handy when you're reading load information from people in Australia(and despite the best efforts of the hoplophobes and gun bigots, there are still a lot of gunnies down there).

From someone who grew up in the progressive Utopia of the Soviet Union*
With this background, I am—perhaps understandably—hypersensitive to the emerging far Left in Western politics. I can’t help noticing similarities in the rhetoric about “eradicating inequality,” “smashing the class system,” and a new age of “radical egalitarianism.” And when I do, I shudder.
I shudder because such people no longer appreciate what they have in the West: one of the most prosperous, free, fair, equal, tolerant, peaceful, and open societies not just in the world today but in the entire history of our species. This isn’t an abstract point about the ungrateful youth of today, it’s a reminder of the unforgiving reality that those who don’t realise how good they have it, or take their lives of plenty for granted, are vulnerable to demagogic ideologies that promise to tear it all down to build a ‘better tomorrow’ just as the founders of the Soviet Union did before them.
I shudder because I know that an environment in which anyone who does not hold the correct political views is ostracised can eat away at the heart of what makes Western society a beacon of hope to the rest of the world: the fact that we value free speech and individual autonomy above anything else, including material or practical considerations.
*And anyone who insists "That wasn't REAL Communism/Socialism" can go sit in a corner with a superglued-on dunce hat
The Touching Special Areas clowns really don't like it
when their ass isn't properly kissed, and they aren't properly bowed-down to.
Naturally, the TSA's official definition of troublemaking goes well beyond punching its officers. According to a confidential memo, any behavior that is "offensive and without legal justification" can land a traveler on the list, as can any "challenges to the safe and effective completion of screening." Anyone who has ever "loitered" near a checkpoint could also make the list. So could any woman who pushes a screener's hands away from her breasts.
The memo would be more accurate if it stated that anyone who fails to unquestioningly submit to all the TSA's demands would be found guilty of insubordination. As an attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union, Hugh Handeyside, told the Washington Post, the policy gives the agency wide latitude to "blacklist people arbitrarily and essentially punish them for asserting their rights." Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-New Jersey) expressed similar worry. "I am concerned about the civil-liberty implications of such a list," she said.
She should be. EVERYONE should be. Especially since the federalized molesters do crap like this:
Linlor sued, claiming that the TSA violated his rights with an unconstitutional and unreasonable search. In a hearing last year, a lawyer for the Department of Justice argued that there's no law "establishing a specific degree of permissible intrusiveness of a security screening pat down," and that, since there's no law, Americans should have no legal recourse. Federal Judge James Cacheris scoffed at the government's "oratorical calisthenics." The case is now before an appeals court.
This is also why the Dept. of 'Justice' needs cleaning out. Anyone who'd push such crap in the name of "He's a violent asshole, but he's federal so we have to defend him" should be gotten rid of. So should the supervisors who defend this kind of crap.
I thought of this exchange last week when the New York Times revealed
that the Transportation Security Administration has created a secret
watchlist for troublesome passengers. The TSA justified the list by
saying that its screeners were assaulted 34 times last year, but did not
release any details about the alleged assaults.

One
ongoing court case is showcasing the TSA's prerogatives. Airplane
captain James Linlor was traveling through Dulles Airport in 2016 when
he suffered a brutal patdown
that left him requiring surgery. A TSA video shows that the patdown was
proceeding normally, if somewhat aggressively, until the TSA agent,
without warning, administered what appeared to be a karate chop to the
captain's testicles.

When their own damned expert says this...
Retired KCSO Commander Joe Pilkington is a court recognized firearms
expert. He could not speak directly to Kirschenmann's case but says the laws are changing so frequently, it's often hard to keep up with the latest regulations.
"Just in the last few years, there have been lots of changes in gun laws," he said. "Making an effort, a good faith effort to comply with these really complicated laws, should count for something."
In Californicated? Fat chance.

It's... amazing. From where Great Britain used to be,
As Uncle puts it, 'Where Great Britain used to be',
And he has come up with an idea for a scheme that could be rolled out across the UK where members of the public could take their kitchen knives to be 'modified' and the points ground down into rounded ends.
...
'I would urge all those with any role in relation to knives - manufacturers, shops, the police, local authorities, the government - to consider preventing the sale of long pointed knives, except in rare, defined, circumstances, and replacing such knives with rounded ends,' he said.
Etc. Because those commoners can't be trusted with sharp objects, and none of them- assuming this idiot policy came to be- would possibly think of using a grinder to put a point back on.
I suppose the ban on archery and skewers with sharp points is soon to come.

(formerly Great)Britain Is So Screwed...
Exhibit A:
Tommy Robinson, a British activist and journalist, has been arrested outside a Leeds courtroom for livestreaming information about a Muslim gang on trial for raping and grooming hundreds of victims, some as young as eleven. Robinson was taken immediately to prison.
Exhibit B:
The judge in Tommy Robinson's case, Denise Marson, pulled a neat trick today.
She threw him in jail for 13 months, and banned anyone in the UK from talking about it.

Reason has a good piece on 'assault weapons',
and all the bullshit and lies the anti-rights people push on the subject. A few bits:
Although "assault weapons" fire no faster than any other semi-automatic, such as a Glock 19 pistol or a Ruger 10/22 hunting rifle, politicians routinely conflate them with machine guns, which have not been legally produced for civilians in the United States since 1986. Prohibitionists like Feinstein argue that "assault weapons" are good for nothing but mass shootings and gang warfare, despite the fact that only a tiny percentage of these guns are ever used to commit crimes. They say these firearms are "weapons of choice" for mass shooters, who are in fact much more likely to use handguns, and claim they are uniquely deadly, even though the category is defined based on features that make little or no difference in the hands of a murderer.
...
Many supporters of "assault weapon" bans seem confused about what they entail. In a widely mocked 2007 interview on MSNBC, Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D–N.Y.), who had introduced a bill that would have banned semi-automatic rifles with barrel shrouds, confessed, "I actually don't know what a barrel shroud is. I'm assuming it's a shoulder thing that goes up." Politicians such as Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton often say "machine guns" or "automatic weapons" when they are talking about semi-automatic rifles. According to a Reason-Rupe survey conducted around the time that Feinstein introduced her 2013 bill, about two-thirds of Americans mistakenly thought "assault weapons" fire faster than other guns, hold more rounds, or use higher-caliber ammunition. The respondents who harbored these misconceptions were especially likely to say such guns should be banned.
Ah, the McCarthy "I don't know what it is, but it should be banned!" interview, the gift that keeps on giving. It's rare to have a politician demonstrate so well that they're ignorant fools and/or liars.
Along that line, apparently Bloomberg came out of hiding and gave a speech that ought to be referenced every time Everytown and Watts mouth off.
Clayton Cramer has some video of Bloomberg Bloomberging. Smartest strategic move Everytown has made is pushing him into the background and using him as a wallet rather than a face. What we need to do, conversely, is make sure everyone knows Everytown is Mike Bloomberg. I won’t mention them without his name if I can help it.
A couple came into the range the other day for the lady's first try at shooting. Not the most successful, and the sound really bothered her. Which brought to mind one of the probable reasons the anti-rights clowns hate the idea of suppressors being commonly available: they'd take away much of the scary noise and make it easier for many to give guns a serious try.
