How messed up are things across the Atlantic?
A British Jew decides he wants German citizenship in case he has to flee Britain...
And syrupean* countries are worried about some of all those people they just let in might turn out to be sleeper cells. Kind of like lots of people warned about, and said syrupeans called them racist for suggesting it....

Another 'they came from abroad' gang rape,
which went the usual way it does in Europe anymore:
Eight of the nine rapists of a 15-year-old will not serve any time in person. They received suspended sentences, instead. The ninth man was sentenced to less than three years in prison — for the two-hour-long gang rape of a teenage girl — and all must perform 60 hours of community service. What a joke. The tenth was acquitted.
And now we have the added stupidity:
Another German woman, a 20-year-old whose name has not been released, somehow found on Snapchat the phone number of one of the men who received a suspended sentence. She then contacted him on WhatsApp, where she called him a "dishonorable rapist pig" and a "disgusting miscarriage."

But the woman's WhatsApp "assault" was too much for German authorities, who arrested her for making "insulting" remarks to the immigrant. She'll serve three days beginning on Friday in the Hahnöfersand youth detention center — a sentence three days longer than the rapist she insulted.
Ain't being ruled by fine members of the leftist upper class wonderful?
Added: Yes, the cops and various others are not leftist upper class, but the chiefs and some sheriffs? Lots of politicians and agency heads? Yes, they are. If the DA/prosecutors won't prosecute, and officers know pointing out these are not intersectional victims, they're freaking TERRORISTS and the enemy will get them labeled 'problems' at best, 'racist/fill in the blank' at most and their job threatened, their enthusiasm for doing their damned job will go downhill.
Look at what happened with the Brits and the muslim rape/slavery gangs, various cops and social workers knew what was going on 'But I'll be called a racist if I raise attention on this!" kept them quiet. Yeah, probably lousy cops in other ways, too.

Borrowing from a guy on the current French situation
All this, however, takes place in an environment in which the Brits seem most likely to be about to commit national hara-kiri themselves, by tossing out (on, ironically, July 4) their own Stupid Party (the not-so-Conservatives) and replacing them with the reliably-Communist Labour Party. But I digress.
Back to the French: the 1789 Revolution took place against a political and social order which was manifestly unjust and in many cases actually malevolent, wherein an unelected power elite (the Royalty and Church) ran the country at the expense of ordinary people.
And finally: after our Revolution, we didn’t hack off the heads of the deposed ruling class, but the Frogs sure as hell did.

As the media does its usual job,
things seem to be getting pretty sporty in Europe as farmers and other citizens tell the EU and 'elites' to go to hell. And the coverage seems to be... interesting.
The situation escalated in Belgium where farmers surrounded the headquarters of the EU chanting Ursula, we’re coming for you. They piled up straw and muck while the jeunes threw firecrackers – the press said explosives and incendiaries, but they were just firecrackers. EU bureaucrats were trapped inside, and the police responded with water cannon. There were reports of rubber bullets being fired, but I’ve been unable to confirm if this is true – we’ll come back to that. The Brussels protestors seem to have been mostly Belgians, but significant numbers of Italians and French are reported too.
There are reports and pictures of roads blocked throughout Portugal and a delicious clip of tractors seeing off a police armored car in the Netherlands (it might be Belgium; the caption was Pays-Bas.) Expect to see all the local governments capitulate sooner than later, the farmers know where they live. The EU is different, and this is where it gets interesting. The EU “has the organizing ability of the Italians, the flexibility of the Germans, and the modesty of the French. And that’s topped up by the imagination of the Belgians.” They are not accountable to anyone, and they are the true believers in this gnostic death cult that seems to have taken hold of the world’s managerial class. They can be counted on to do something really, really stupid.
The English language press is more useless than usual. One expects that from the American press who couldn’t find Canada on a map never mind Belgium, but GB is just over the water and the entrance to France was blocked. Not peak holiday time so they didn’t notice, if guess. The Daily Mail, which is the best source for middle class wine-mom opinion and loves to bash the working class, has nothing on it. The broadsheets mention it with the most detailed coverage being in the Grauniad. They get it entirely wrong as you might expect, but at least there’s something. The French language press is covering it, but they are party political organs, and the media isn’t trustworthy. The German’s have more, but my German is dire, and I’m limited to the English versions, which often don’t align with the German language version.

If I'd thought it worth commenting I'd have said "No 'conspiracy theory' cost Clinton the election, SHE did. In particular with that 'basket of deplorables' crap. Because nothing can move people to your side like telling half the country 'You're a racist, ignorant bastard', right?"
What brought that to mind was this "AAAAH! The right-wingers are actually voting and we can't stop them!" from a Brit source. Keep in mind that being to the right of Stalin or our Sen. Sanders will get you listed as right-wing. Or, even if you're a leftist, saying "We should have a say who comes across our border to stay" will condemn you.

Austria has already announced compulsory COVID vaccinations which will be enforced starting in February of 2022. Greece has recently decided to fine all unvaccinated citizens €100 (£85) a month for their non compliance, and Germany announced Thursday a nationwide lockdown for the unvaccinated, as its leaders backed plans for mandatory vaccinations in the coming months. Germany’s incoming Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, said he supports compulsory vaccinations beginning in March 2022.
We've seen this movie before. Didn't end well. And with Australia already in the "You will go to the camps!" stage, this is definitely not good.

European human rights chiefs have told the British press it must not report when terrorists are Muslim.
The recommendations came as part of a list of 23 meddling demands to Theresa May’s government on how to run the media in an alarming threat to freedom speech.
Yes, 'freedom speech' is a typo, but a very fitting one.
The suggestions sent to Downing Street urging the UK Government to reform criminal law and freedom of the press and in a brutal criticism of the British press, the report recommends ministers 'give more rigorous training' to journalists.
(formerly Great)Britain isn't exactly a free speech zone(see 'people jailed for saying something on Fecesbook or Twatter), but this was a step way too far for them, at least for now.

Furthermore, terrorist attacks can happen in small towns where police aren’t on high alert, such as the Carcassone and Trèbes attack in France in March 2018, which killed five, the Normandy church attack in France in July 2016, where one person was killed, or the Würzburg train attack of July 2016 in Germany, which resulted in five people being injured with an ax.
Throw in all the other attacks that some countries make a point of not talking about whenever possible(Hello, Sweden!), and you have a bunch of people saying to each other "The cops and military probably won't be here when it happens, we need some way to fight the bastards ourselves." With most governments(with the exception of a few, like the Czechs) trying hard to prevent them having anything. The EUnuchs in particular flat hate the idea; the commoners are supposed to do what they're told and depend totally on the State for protection.

Sooner or later there's going to be an attack and some citizen with a non-legal gun(and there are already a LOT of them) is going to whack one or more bad guys, and the EUnuchs and national government is going to have fits and try to throw them in a cell forever, and it's going to get real sporty from there.

"Why don't you care what the rest of the world thinks of us?"
Or the connected "Do you know how bad we look to the world?" and other such bullshit. One of the many reasons I don't give a rats ass, from 9/12 and our European 'betters':
Night fell and morning broke before I managed to get off that floor to answer my phone. On the other end I heard my boyfriend’s voice, chanting frantically:
Two more towers! Two more towers! Two more towers!
He and his friends were having a party, celebrating the attack on America. He called to invite me, and to this day I have never felt such intense shame.
Yeah, they were 'one with us'. Until they realized we were actually going to DO something about it, then they turned.
A few weeks later, that beautiful creed had already been forgotten. The one time my country could side with the U.S. was when America was on its knees, but when it refused to stay down it quickly went back to the smug relativism of World War II, the icy efficiency of a country never having to fight for either ethics or its existence.
Soon enough, the narrative was clear. The end of the story had already been written: The U.S. was unjustly acting as the world police, once again. Bush was a moron and a puppet. America was killing innocent people for oil. It went on and on, and all I could think was that if I know that these things are not true, then what other lies have I accepted as truth throughout my life?
They're just like the Palestinians who danced in the streets and gave away candy to celebrate.
Right now they're playing Martyrs and Saints by trying to let as many muslim immigrants in as possible, and if you think there should be some kind of background checks you're a racist. One of those poor immigrants commits a horrible crime, they're pretty much excused, and to hell with the victims. You protest about this? You're a racist and bigot and the .gov will come after you for not going with the Preferred Narrative.
And the idiots in charge can one and all go to hell.
