Damn, I wonder if the solar minimum is pushing April weather

into May?  More chance of heavy rain tonight.  So,

People who should be flogged and hanged for a thousand, Alex

Members of a Rotherham sex gang today yelled 'Allahu Akbar' in court as they were jailed for abusing a girl who fell pregnant aged 12 after being groomed with alcohol.

I'm going to borrow two more quotes, then I'm off before I break something.
The girl's pregnancy made headlines in 2001 when she was portrayed as one of Britain's youngest ever mothers. Although five men were arrested, there were no prosecutions at the time after the victim told police she could not say which of the men she had had sex with was the father.
British law enforcement at its best.

And last,
The sentencing marks the end of a series of three major trials after a report on child sexual exploitation in Rotherham revealed that more than 1,400 youngsters had been groomed, trafficked and raped in the town over a 16-year period.

It has led to 18 people being jailed for sentences totalling more than 280 years.
And the cops and social workers who knew this was going on and did nothing?  ANY penalty for those bastards, or are they still on the payroll?

Dammit, more "May be severe storms tonight"

You know what that means

Declassification of those documents ordered

And the rats are squealing.  Loudly.

And Mueller wants to testify in private, not public.  HELL no, you bastard, no chances to hide what you're asked and your answers.

In another matter, Feinstein is following in the footsteps of that traitorous bastard Ted Kennedy.

Things found, new technology used,

and we learn a bit more.
A study published today in Nature reveals just how much this ancient jaw has to say. A detailed analysis of its physical features as well as proteins extracted from the fossil suggest that the mandible, dated to 160,000 years ago, comes from the enigmatic human population known as the Denisovans—a sister group to the Neanderthals previously identified from scant remains found in a single cave in Siberia's Altai Mountains.

This is magnificent

When 'PC at any cost' is the order of the day,

they ticket victims and ignore the rapists.

One more rape gang operating for years, the cops and council know, and do nothing except screw with the victim.

Every cop involved should be fired and charged as an accessory.  Hanged alongside the politicians and social workers who knew and did nothing.

From Madam Hoyt:

It is also, I think, responsible for why Portugal remains largely stagnant while any Portuguese immigrant abroad seems to have a head start on excelling in their field (Yes, weirdly, I did too. The odds against even being published in the bad old days were overwhelming. And most literary careers last 3 books, not 30 something.  And I’m not done yet.  And in indie, maybe monetary success will come, too.)

You see in Portugal being seen to work excessively or at something dirty, or having enough humility to start again if a career goes bang would be demeaning. It would rob you of your dignity and leave you open to predation or at least social opprobrium. Some people still do it, but they’re rare and exceedingly strong-willed.  Meanwhile the country, as a whole, lurches about with no innovation, no enterprise worth the name.

And from my glimpses of Spain, it might be worse there.
Here, picking yourself up from failure and starting over is lauded.*  And how many have wound up agonizing-to-the-socialists rich by having an idea and getting their hands dirty making it work?

I suspect that Portuguese attitude is connected somewhat to the "You must go to college OR YOU'LL BE A FAILURE GETTING ALL DIRTY AND SWEATY AT AN ICKY JOB!" attitude that's helped get so many people in debt to their eyebrows getting a degree worth less than the paper it's printed on.

And this:
Part of what we dealt with, in hell-journey through Spain was the fact that every single bureaucrat, janitor, information booth lady, even the security guards/police of which Spain has a lot in surplus to requirements, was “holding him/herself up in their dignity.”  Which meant not bending enough to try to understand what two people going through, who spoke no Spanish but only English and Portuguese might be asking or wanted.
Ever dealt with a pissy bureaucrat who thought you expecting them to do their damned job was insulting?  And they'd try to make you pay for it?

Interesting piece, go read it.

*Except from the socialist/nanny-state assholes who want you to see yourself as needing to be taken care of by the State.

Next time you see some leftist wailing that "You won't compromise

and do what we want on gun safety!", give them this quote from Correia:
In something that I find profoundly troubling when I’ve had this discussion before, I’ve had a Caring Liberal tell me that the example of Iraq doesn’t apply because “we kept the gloves on”, whereas fighting America’s gun nuts would be a righteous total war with nothing held back… Holy shit, I’ve got to wonder about the mentality of people who demand rigorous ROEs to prevent civilian casualties in a foreign country, are blood thirsty enough to carpet bomb Texas.
You really hate us, and then act confused why we want to keep our guns? But I don’t think unrelenting total war against everyone who has ever disagreed with you on Facebook is going to be quite as clean as you expect.

That's because they're not reporters, they're journalists;

and, as Insty put it, they're Democrat operatives with bylines.  Actual reporters would be raising three levels of bloody hell about this.

The fact that they're not tells you a lot.

Because YouTube is run by leftist assholes

who hate the idea of armed peasants.  Especially those who don't have the proper leftist beliefs and attitudes.
