In order that I might not fall asleep having forgotten

to post the second evening's stuff, here it is

You get the feeling part of the problem is "We're Feds,

we don't need your local crap." ?
The day before the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, a tactical team of local police officers set aside radios for their Secret Service partners so the two agencies could communicate during the former president’s July 13 campaign rally.

But those radios were never picked up.

I wonder if any of these people consider that the reason so many don't trust ANY of the federal agencies is said agencies threw the trust they formerly had away?

One of these nights

is below the fold

How do you know you're stuck in a dystopian craphole?

You live in (formerly Great)Britain.
Original here.

But wait!  There's MORE!
The left-wing Labour Party government of Prime Minister Keir Starmer enacted emergency measures on Monday to free up prison cells in England as over 1,000 people have been arrested in connection to the outbreak of violence, or for posts on social media, in the UK following the mass stabbing at a children’s dance party in Southport last month allegedly by a second-generation Rwandan migrant teen.
Bold mine.

Two-Tier is really working on that title, isn't he?  Mind you, the 'Conservatives' were damn little better, which is a big reason their sorry asses were thrown out.

Lots of people on the Evil Party side went to big-name colleges,

and Walz has no problem with that.  But Vance is an UnGood Person, so working his ass off and succeeding is a bad thing and Walz says stupid things like this:

The whole thing's here

"Why don't you want to negotiate with these people?"

cry the left...
Bullet wounds were found on the bodies of six hostages recovered by the Israeli military earlier this week. The grim finding confirms the fears that most of them had been murdered by Hamas terrorists during their 10-month-long captivity in Gaza.

And we're helping pay for these corrupt, lying 'journalists'

This is a civil rights win with a

 'Holy shit!' cherry on top.

A Kansas US District Court judge has tossed an illegal machine gun possession charge on Second Amendment grounds. The court found that machine guns in question are clearly “bearable arms,” and in this case at least, the government failed to show a historical tradition to justify their ban.

The court finds that the Second Amendment applies to the weapons charged because they are “bearable arms” within the original meaning of the amendment. The court further finds that the government has failed to establish that this nation’s tradition of gun regulation justifies the application of 18 USC § 922(0) to Defendant.

That’s the portion of the 1986 Firearm Owners Protection Act that outlaws civilian possession of machine guns.

Two things: first, that portion is the bit that some CAfornicated Rep. put into the bill that said 'Any automatic weapon that wasn't at some point owned by a plain citizen before this date can never be owned by a plain citizen.'
Second, Oh yeah, I'm sure the .gov will appeal.  And I cannot imagine why they, as noted, 'barely tried to meet that burden'; they had to know that if the judge ruled against them it would mean they'd have to appeal, and it would be that much harder, I'd think, to try to prove 'that this nation’s tradition of gun regulation justifies the application of 18 USC § 922(0) to Defendant'.

Just throwing spitballs, maybe the people involved looked at the Bruen and Rahimi rulings and decided "We're screwed on this".  Or maybe they, for some reason, wanted to hurry it to the 10th Circuit Appeals, or... Beats me.

My, how very Stasi of them,

I wonder when people will start conveniently 'accidentally' dying in their cell?

I miss things like this

So anything from the USSS cannot be trusted, and

some politicians and their flunkies will be lying bastards no matter what.

On #1,
Higgins goes on to report these shocking facts:

“U.S. Secret Service did not retrieve the radios that had been set aside for them by Butler County tactical command. The radio comms were properly and perfectly arranged during the extensive pre-mission planning.”
“All 8 casings (from shots fired by Crooks) were recovered and are allegedly in proper possession of the FBI.”
“The 9th shot fired on J13 was from a Butler SWAT operator from the ground about 100 yards away from the AGR building. Shot 9 hit Crooks’ rifle stock and fragged his face/neck/right shoulder area from the stock breaking up.”
“The 10th (and, I believe, final) shot was fired from the southern counter-sniper team.”
“My effort to examine Crooks’ body on Monday, August 5, caused quite a stir and revealed a disturbing fact… the FBI released the body for cremation 10 days after J13.”
“The water tower was cleared by drone J13 AM by the County tactical commander, ESU Commander Lenz himself.”

And, let us remember, the current USSS Director was involved in at least some of this, and is now investigating himself.

On the lying politicians and flunkies,
A person at the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Caucus Meeting at the DNC introduced Tim Walz as “Command Sergeant Major.”
So either the clown did not understand, despite all the noise, that Walz didn't earn that rank, or didn't care and lied.

On the subject of 'gun violence', I was sent a link

to this.  Interesting reading.  I've just skimmed over it, will give it a full reading when have more time.  Whenever that is.

All you need to know about ESPN and this clown

Another civil rights victory

After two years of waiting after oral arguments, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals issued a ruling on qualified immunity for a Waterbury, Connecticut police officer, deciding he wasn’t entitled to qualified immunity for violating the constitutionally protected rights of a gun owner.
...
The area is known for drugs and prostitution, so the stopped car drew the attention of Officer Andrzejewski. The law enforcement officer approached the vehicle and demanded Soukaneh’s license. He would hand over his driver’s license and his gun permit. Mr. Soukaneh legally owned and carried a firearm in his car. He did not commit any crime and had a clean criminal record, but that didn’t matter to Andrzejewski.

Upon seeing the permit, Andrzejewski dragged Soukaneh out of the car and slammed him to the ground. The officer handcuffed the man and threw him into the back of his police cruiser. Andrzejewski searched Soukaneh’s car from bumper to bumper, including its trunk. When Andrzejewski didn’t turn up anything, Andrzejewski and seven other officers held Soukaneh in the back of the police cruiser for an additional 30 minutes. During this time, Andrzejewski consulted with another officer about what to write Soukaneh up for, showing they didn’t have a valid reason.

He shouldn't just get 'no qualified immunity', the dumb bastard should be fired.  And prosecuted for the civil rights violation.

The judges also ruled that just because someone has a firearm or a gun permit does not give law enforcement probable cause to conduct a search of someone’s vehicle or arrest someone. Andrzejewski admitted in testimony that the firearms license was the only “probable cause” he had. The judges highlighted that if a firearm could be considered probable cause, then anyone carrying a gun would have to give up their Fourth Amendment protections. The liberal judges are no friend to gun owners, but even they believed this situation went too far.

Speaking of responses to the Brit .gov,

"He did NOT intend '1984' as a how-to, you bastards, it was a WARNING!"
Wayne O’Rourke of Salix Approach, Lincoln, was arrested by Lincolnshire police on charges of stirring up "anti-Muslim" and "anti-establishment" hate online during the recent unrest in Great Britain.
THREE YEARS IN PRISON...
She added that O'Rourke now wanted to re-educate himself about things that he had got wrong.
My, isn't that a terrifying phrase?
"The case highlighted the role of social media as platforms where polarising rhetoric can proliferate without proper controls, raising questions about the boundary between freedom of expression and incitement to hatred," Decripto says.

Big Brother decides what is 'anti' and what is 'hatred', and it depends on what they want to jail you for, you troublesome peasants.

Now there's a response to the Brit .gov

Well, it's not surprising this is one of the Harris staff

After 9/11, Nasrina Bargzie, an Afghan Muslim immigrant, was interviewed by law enforcement over troubling comments on the War on Terror reported by her friends.

Today she’s the Deputy Counsel to Vice President Kamala Harris. And was just named Kamala's liaison to Muslims.

After coming to America from a wealthy family in Kandahar, later a stronghold of the Taliban and Al Qaeda, Nasrina Bargzie was raised in Concord, CA, one of the state’s hubs for Afghan migrants, and quickly got involved in anti-American and pro-terrorist activism.

In 2001, while attending college, she was interrogated by the FBI about comments she had made to her friends. It’s unknown what she said, but it was enough to scare her friends, in one of the most liberal parts of the country, to apparently report her to law enforcement.

And oh yes, there's more.
