The rain moved out, not a bad late November evening;

the data can wait until you're back indoors

Lists. Tyrants and Stalin wannabes always want lists

so they can better control people.

And if what they want to control is even thoroughly dead firearms, well, we can't trust the commoners to not be bad, now can we?

Britain needs to Brexit, and then start hanging a bunch of their own politicians.

Over here?  I'm sure there are some lists of those who'll never be missed.  Except by the other control freaks, and who cares?

It's chilly, and wet, and generally kind of nasty out there

Throw in some of the Black Friday idiots, and it's a good time to be in working on your studies

'Higher' Education and Academics...

Catherine Lugg of the Department of Educational Theory, Policy, and Administration took to Twitter recently to refer to supporters of the Second Amendment as “gun/Moloch worshippers” and part of a “death cult.”

“At this point, I don’t think ANY civilian should own/have access to any fire arms [sic], period,” Lugg wrote on November 14. The prof has called the Second Amendment “insane,” claiming “No other country indulges in an 18th century death cult.”
And that's only part of her bullshit.

I have long argued that the US has been a crypto-fascist republic. Given the Soviet purchase of the GOP and some members of the Dems, we are sliding towards the real thing.
Yet she wants said 'crypto-fascist republic' agents to be the only ones with arms...

Among things to be thankful for,

ladies like Ms. Scott

If you're looking for some reading entertainment,

and you haven't seen the site before, I highly recommend this guy.  Has a whole string of "Things I won't work with"* posts full of chemistry knowledge such as
No, that’s a perfectly accurate statement of their research program: this new paper’s introduction includes the phrase “In our continuing efforts to introduce as many nitro groups associated with a tetrazole ring as possible. . .” and to most organic chemists that’s roughly equivalent to saying something like “In our continuing efforts to spray as much graffiti on the snouts of salt-water crocodiles as possible. . .” Because if that were your research program, you’d seek out the most humungous reptiles available and position yourself at the best angle to give them a cloud of Krylon straight up the ol’ nostrils, right? Same difference.
I think you'll enjoy it.

For the holiday I think I'll just clear out some stuff
