Yes, I managed to put something together

for the sixth evening

More of "It's different when we do it!" from the Washington Post & Lorenz

In response to the outcry over the article, Washington Post managing editor Cameron Barr issued a statement. He claimed, “[Libs of TikTok’s] identity had become public knowledge on social media. We did not publish or link to any details about her personal life”
Which is bullshit because
The WaPo article by Taylor Lorenz originally linked to the real estate license for the person behind the Libs of TikTok account— the link listed the person’s name, real estate license number, possible physical address, etc. WaPo only removed the link after being called out on it.

This should prove another joyous set of hearings

The embattled Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives was rocked again this week when an insider favored for the bureau's top job was abruptly demoted after being passed over a second time by President Joe Biden.

Reports said that acting Director Marvin Richardson, the highest-ranking black man at the agency who had 30 years of experience with ATF, announced Monday that he was being shoved aside by the White House. Biden last week chose a white lawyer to head the sprawling law enforcement agency after his first pick, another white male, bowed out under pressure.

Considering Biden's pandering on People of Colour whenever possible, why?  I suspect this:
Richardson had a base of support in the agency for the top job because of his law enforcement experience, years as a manager of the 5,000-employee agency, and balanced relationships with the gun industry.
A balanced relationship isn't what Biden wants, he wants someone who's willing to twist and break the law and regulations.

Wonder if the Usual Suspects will scream at Biden for passing over the black guy, or stay quiet because most of them want the political hack just as much as Biden?

Be it noted that using a walker has hazards

Generally more stable than a cane, but if it gets tilted just a little to one side or the other, you may be in trouble.  Also, when moving it sideways keep your weight as centered as possible for the same reason.

And it's easy to start moving faster than you should, which could cause you to overbalance to the front.

No, I haven't fallen over, but a couple of times I was about on the edge.

One more thing: if the surface you're on is tilted, watch out because that's the start of a bad situation of you aren't careful.

Borrowed from Joe Huffman, a Quote of the Day

This is the same Joe Biden, after all, who orchestrated a catastrophically mismanaged surrender of Afghanistan to ragtag nomads with small arms. Moreover, one would think that a man who came of political age during the Vietnam War would possess a better working understanding of the value of small arms in fighting off a far superior military. Then there’s the American Revolution itself, in which patriots with small arms defeated the world’s most powerful military.

But here’s the most bizarre aspect of all.

The White House concedes that Biden personally interrupted delivery of 28 Polish MiG-29 fighter jets repeatedly requested by Ukraine in its desperate fight for survival. According to his logic, supplying Ukrainians with deadly small arms, antitank weaponry and other deadly devices are far more effective against the Russian military than advanced fighter aircraft. As reported by Politico, the Biden Administration determined that, “the warplanes wouldn’t materially improve Ukraine’s chances.”
