Data has arrived

and this time not quite worn-out enough to forget

Due to exhaustion beyond my control,

the latest info dump wasn't posted last night.  Here 'tis:

Borrowing from Mr. Steyn, The Barbarians Are Inside,

And There Are No Gates
Two parts in particular:
Visiting the Bataclan, M Hollande declared that "nous allons mener le combat, il sera impitoyable": We are going to wage a war that will be pitiless.

Does he mean it? Or is he just killing time until Obama and Cameron and Merkel and Justin Trudeau and Malcolm Turnbull fly in and they can all get back to talking about sea levels in the Maldives in the 22nd century? By which time France and Germany and Belgium and Austria and the Netherlands will have been long washed away.

And something lots of politicians and the PC-at-any-price people really don't want to talk about,
And then Europe decided to invite millions of Muslims to settle in their countries. Most of those people don't want to participate actively in bringing about the death of diners and concertgoers and soccer fans, but at a certain level most of them either wish or are indifferent to the death of the societies in which they live - modern, pluralist, western societies and those "universal values" of which Barack Obama bleats. So, if you are either an active ISIS recruit or just a guy who's been fired up by social media, you have a very large comfort zone in which to swim, and which the authorities find almost impossible to penetrate.

And now the idiot students and activists in Missouri show their true colors:  "You're not talking about US, who cares about those dead people in France!"

And a real prize:
Miss Hardy:
THERE WAS NO TERRORIST ATTACK AT YOUR DAMNED UNIVERSITY.  And no, you getting your feelings hurt does not count.  And if you're 'trapped in your room', it's because you're a cowardly little bitch.

You idiots are prime examples of why people see so many students as whiny, entitled, bitchy little pussies who have no real idea of what care the world has for your feelings.  Piss off.

Salon proves(again) that it's run by assholes.

Speaking of assholes,
"How dare you actually check on whether Hillary did this!"

Major terrorist attack in Paris

it sounds like; updated story here.

Carry.  Because if they can do it there, they can do it here.

Demonstrating why I call it Californicated,

also why people don't trust LAPD: it's not just the shooting at innocents, it's the theft.
Instagram sensation Dan Bilzerian received some bad news when he returned to his West Hollywood mansion after a September break-in — several of his guns were gone.

But it wasn’t burglars who had taken the firearms, it was the Los Angeles Police Department.

For two months after the break-in, Mr. Bilzerian, a professional poker player and gun rights champion, says police inexplicably continued to keep the nine firearms under lock and key without a warrant. When the eight pistols and one rifle were returned to their owner about a week ago, all the ammunition for the firearms was missing, raising questions about the LAPD’s protocol for seizing firearms.
"We must keep these from being stolen(by anybody but us)!"  Except
The responding officers confiscated nine firearms supposedly under the premise that they wanted to secure the home in case the burglars attempted a second break-in, Mr. Bilzerian said. But strangely, the officers left behind an arsenal of shotguns and a high-powered semiautomatic carbine rifle like the ones used by special operations troops.

“The officers told my assistant that they took the handguns because they didn’t want the suspects to come back and get them on a second break-in even though they were unsuccessful at opening the steel reinforced door the first time,” Mr. Bilzerian said. “Essentially they were ‘trying to protect my property and people’s safety.’ This is hard to grasp, when they left my $21,000 FN SCAR17 with thermal optic and shotguns unsecured in that same room.”
And note that the safe did the job and was still closed, UNTIL the LAPD broke it open.  And now
“All of my ammunition and the magazines were gone. And they couldn’t explain what happened to the magazines, but that ammo couldn’t be released with a firearm and that I’d have to schedule a separate three-hour visit for the ammo,” Mr. Bilzerian told The Washington Times. “If they are gonna take the guns and make me wait for three hours at the police station, they should at the very least return what came with them.”
What are the bets the ammo and mags wind up being listed as 'destroyed' because they don't want to have to account for where they went?

And they'll bitch about "Why don't people trust us and want to work with us?"

This is what colleges and some idiot parents are producing:

censors, fascists, and socialists.
CAVUTO: Well, you want all that stuff. Someone has to pick up the tab. Who would that be?
MULLEN: Ummm, the one-percent of people in society that are hoarding the wealth and kind of causing the catastrophe students are facing…
CAVUTO: Alright, Keely, so if the one-percent just had their taxes raised a few years ago back to almost forty-percent, then to pay for the healthcare law had them raised another few percentage points, then they had their deductions raised another couple points depending on the state or locality — they’re pushing about fifty-percent in taxes — how much higher do you think, how much more do you think they should pay?
MULLEN: I think enough to where one in two American families are not threatened by poverty —
CAVUTO: So where do they go? Let’s say if you tax these folks — they’re smart people, these one-percent hoarders — so if they leave here, who’s going to pay for all this stuff that you want?
MULLEN: If they leave?
CAVUTO: The country.
MULLEN: Oh. Ummm, I mean there’s always going to be a one-percent in the U.S.
"Oh, there'll ALWAYS be SOMEBODY we can loot to pay for our free stuff!"  Idiots.  Damned fools of the first order.

"She's not a TRUE colored woman, she wrote things that trigger and upset us!"  Whiny damned bastards, too.

"How dare you say an approved victim class can do bad stuff!"

"You DO know who invented that,

don't you?
After 94 years of continuous service, the oldest-serving known veteran in the U.S. military is stepping away from the front lines.

Browning M2 machine gun #324 is finally retiring:
Roughly 94 years after the first production run of M2 machine guns came off the assembly line, the 324th weapon produced made it to Anniston Army Depot for overhaul and upgrade.
In more than 90 years of existence, the receiver with serial number 324 has never been overhauled.
JMB made good stuff.

Higher Education, modern version, results thereof:
When asked about complaints from professors that universities are becoming “places of censor and prohibition,” Smith-Lezama said people are using the First Amendment to create a “hostile and unsafe learning environment.”

“I personally am tired of hearing that First Amendment rights protect students when they are creating a hostile and unsafe learning environment for myself and for other students here,” Smith-Lezama said. “I think that it’s important for us to create that distinction and create a space where we can all learn from one another and start to create a place of healing rather than a place where we are experiencing a lot of hate like we have in the past.”
Bet her definition of 'hate' is "People saying things I don't like, and not agreeing with me."  Wonder how she'll feel when someone uses her own crap to shut her up?

So these people hate civil rights and people of the wrong color.  And they're professors.
“As professors, we don’t see classroom carry to be about our own personal security,” the manifesto says early on. “We will most likely never be shot in our offices or classrooms, even if we were to piss off some white male students with sacrilegious ideas about race, empire, evolution, or god.”

Instead, Canizares-Esguerra and Timmons explicitly frame the conflict as a racial one, with supporters of gun rights cast as white racial oppressors who are the heirs of slavery, Jim Crow, and other acts of “settler colonialism.”
You really need to read it all; the level of stupid is just amazing, as is some of their use of language:
“When a student brings a gun into our individual first -amendment [sic] right to control the bond of trust and community that is constitutionally under our care,” they say. “Yes, this is a classroom he has privileged his individual right over our right to establish and control the bond of trust and community in the classroom necessary to teach.
And, by the way, just how much 'bond of trust and community' can you have with an openly racist professor?

The hell nobody wants to take your guns.

Having managed the perilous drive to the bank

the other day, this is still a pain but at least I can drive again.  Short distances, and preferably when traffic is low; working a manual transmission with left-hand-only isn't a lot of fun.

Which reminded me I've got to fix/get my cruise control fixed; not a factor in-town, but I miss it on the highway.

Stitches come out in a couple of days, but it's gonna be a while, and take some doing, before I can do much with this arm.

In the meantime,
Screw the bureaucrats; they want to go around the law, the bastards are not in good position do bitch if other people do.

Yeah, tell me again about horrible Republicans playing with the rich.

"Well, no there was no rape, but you weren't supposed to tell anyone!"

If this is correct, those officers need to be in cells.
Of course, so did this one, based on the video and testimony; but she got away with it.

Can you say "Throw the rednecks a bone, so they'll shut up!" ?

I knew you could.
An assistant communications professor at the Missouri School of Journalism resigned from her courtesy appointment Tuesday after she was caught on video confronting a student journalist and attempting to block him from shooting photos on a public quad.
Big sacrifice, right?
Click’s courtesy appointment allowed her to serve on graduate panels for students from other academic units, according to the Columbia Missourian. Her position as mass media professor in the Communication Department remains unclear.
Translation: "If you give up that, maybe it'll shut down the criticism."

Which fits right in with this asshole starting "The Klan is here!" hysteria, until caught being completely full of shit.

These idiots are going to keep this building until someone gets killed.  And then they'll blame anyone except themselves.  Because they're the Progressives, and anything they do for the cause is justified.

Ever think Piers Morgan had hit rock-bottom?

Me neither.  And he keeps proving us right.

Melissa Click, an assistant professor of mass media at University of Missouri, (link fixed)

who I suspect of liking to go by Commissar when no outsiders are around.
“You need to get out, you need to get out,” Melissa Click demanded of the person filming the protest. “You need to get out,” she continued before trying to grab the camera out of the videographer’s hands.

“I actually don’t,” the journalist told Click.

“Hey, who wants to help me get this reporter out of here,” the media professor then hysterically exclaimed to the assembled mob. “I need some muscle over here!”
A freaking ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MASS MEDIA.  Yeah, she wouldn't have any problem with running the censorship program, would she?

And let's not forget one of the other school brass involved in this crap:
Later in the video, the crowd aggressively started pushing the reporter around in an attempt to get him to stop covering their behavior.

“They have an education to get and a life to live,” a woman identified as Janna Basler, the assistant director of Greek Life & Leadership at the university, yelled at the photographer.

“I’m trying to document this for history,” Tai, the photographer, told the crowd.

“Everybody else has documented it,” Basler declared. “You gotta go.”
They want a safe space, all right; one where they can threaten and abuse people, and act like the Red Guard, with no record being made of it.

Because telling the Palistinians and sympathizers not to disrupt things

just isn't an option, apparently.  Especially when it's so much easier to ask the troublesome Jews to stay away...
The organizers claim that inviting the Jewish community presents a security risk, nt.se reports, citing anti-Semitic and anti-Israel protests present at past events.

"In previous years, we have had a lot of Palestinian flags at these rallies, and even one banner where the Israeli flag was equated with a swastika," organizer and local Workers' Party member Jan Hägglund told locals. "The Jewish community wasn't invited because we assumed they might be uncomfortable around that sort of thing."
Chickenshits don't have the balls to say "We asked the Jew-haters to stay away because we assumed they might be uncomfortable at a Kirstallnacht commemoration."

Meanwhile, the event's Facebook page appears to even downplay the Jewish community's role in the event, instead conveying a generalized, vanilla message of tolerance - not opposition to anti-Semitism.

Hollyweenie hanging out with commies who want to destroy the country;

why am I not surprised?
Who is Carl Dix, the protest organizer defending Tarantino and equating the police with the mafia?

Mr. Dix is one of the founding members of the Revolutionary Communist Party, a group that has held anti-police events in October for nearly two decades and that openly advocates for an armed overthrow of the United States of America.

In other words, Quentin Tarantino was not merely speaking at an event that was anti-police; he was an active, invited participant in a rally that is anti-military, anti-capitalist, and anti-American.

Over at Insty there's a roundup of the screaming pussies at Yale demanding protection, and the administrators rolling over and presenting their bellies.
“Someone told me to ‘give it the old college try,’ so I crumbled into an incoherent mess when I heard an opinion that differed from mine.”

And I'm done.  There are more colors showing up all over my shoulder & upper arm, and it aches like hell, so I think I'll try to find a comfortable position for it and ignore the world.

Apparently bruising from deep inside

where they were rooting around, sewing and buffing and whatever, is now working to the surface, as some sickly shades of yellow, with other colors sneaking in, are appearing.

Artistic, it is not.
