"No matter what, it's whiteys fault!" Anybody else
as sick of this crap as I am?
While they admit the school today is funded at the same per-pupil rate as other colleges in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, they say the school’s small size as well as years of prior discrimination mean the school needs special treatment today in order to compete on a level playing field.
“They say to us: We want to make you equal,” said retired math professor E. Sonny Harris at a press conference announcing the suit. “They can’t make us equal when you have discriminated against us for 30 years. You have to give us more money than you have given any other state school.”
Slight problem with the whining:
Should the lawsuit proceed, the state will likely defend itself by arguing that Cheyney’s problems are more due to its own financial mismanagement than to any malevolence by the state. The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, one of the lawsuit’s defendants, has already hit back at the suit with its own fact sheet pointing out that Cheyney receives over $14,000 in state aid per student, more than any other PSSHE school and about three times the average.
Not only that, but the school has also received $97 million to construct new buildings on campus, fully $20 million more than the amount given to any other PSSHE school. Despite the state’s largesse, Cheyney has accumulated over $14 million of debt and the hole is deepening quickly.
And, which should make the faculty SO proud,
Unmentioned by PSHEE is another possible cause of Cheyney’s decline: Weak academic performance. The school’s four-year graduation rate is only 9 percent.
But it's the fault of someone else, always and forever, rather than take responsibility for their own screwups.

Why you're not seen as Officer Friendly anymore, #865:
No investigation, no warrant, and
Upon arrival the officers found no Nissan and no guns. What they did find was a 3-year-old St. Bernard named Seven, who they proceeded to shoot and kill in front of the 12-year-old girl who was playing with her pet in the backyard at the time. According to that girl, she watched one of the officers shoot the dog in the head while it was lying wounded on the ground from two previous shots.
And of course the department defended them. And a bunch of friggin' idiots on a jury said "No problem." Happily, however,
Yesterday the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit rejected that jury’s holding and ordered a new trial for the offending officers. “There was simply insufficient evidence to warrant the application of the exigent circumstances exception here,” the 2nd Circuit declared in Harris v. O’Hare. “Taken to its logical end, [the officers’] argument would permit exigent circumstances anytime there is a tip about illegal guns being located in a high-crime neighborhood or city, and would allow the exception to swallow the rule.”
Yank their qualified immunity and make them PERSONALLY pay damages. And charge them for the violations of civil rights and throw their ass in prison.

As a statement of opinion, I believe the cultural bias to favor certain people for admissions to undergrad and graduate school should be based on parental income, not on ethnicity or "race."
And as a Cherokee, I hope that I am able to add a unique perspective to this conversation. What appears most challenging for White America to grasp, is that concepts of one's relationship to the dominate anglo-germanic-celtic culture are not uniform even within ethnicities. Opinions are shaped both by a complex interaction of how one is perceived, and also how one's family, clan and tribe perceives AND the culture stories within the "minority" or subordinate culture as to their role enveloped by the dominate society."
~~~
Wow. As an immigrant from the "dominate Anglo-Germanic-Celtic culture" (Please show me the respect of capitalizing my ethnicity), let me inform you that it works both ways. My English ancestors spent centuries trying to exterminate my Celtic ancestors, and both of them created the nation of Belgium just so they'd have a place to settle their differences with the Germans. But I guess all us white people look the same to you.
Once again, "liberals" prove they are the most racist fucks on the planet.
The original article is about Fauxcahontas Warren(who STILL claims to be Amerind) and her claims to PC victimhood.
From Massad Ayoob, short version:
"Why would you want to carry a gun?"
"Because there are a bunch of people out there who say they want to kill us."
Ah, more of the wonders of Obamacare.
Speaking of Democrat slimeballery...
About that bicycle corps
The 25th U.S. Infantry Bicycle Corps was organized in July 1896 at 1,520-acre Fort Missoula near Missoula, Montana after General Miles ordered that a "cycle infantry" be established. Lt. Moss was placed in command of the new corps- one sergeant,one corporal, a musician and five privates- all volunteer black troops for Companies B, F and H of the 25th.
Moss trained his eight men hard for three weeks and soon had them taking daily bicycle trips ranging from fifteen to forty miles. They learned how to scale fences up to nine feet high in twenty seconds and to successfully ford streams up to three feet deep.
The outfitted their bikes with knapsacks on the handle bards topped by blanket rolls containing one blanket, one shelter half and tent poles. A haversack was carried either on the front of the knapsack or on the single horizontal bar of the bike. A tin cup protected from mud and dust by a cloth bag, was placed under the seat. Canteen and cartridge belts were carried on the soldier. Every other man carried a rifle strapped horizontally on the left side of the bicycle. The other men carried revolvers and had canvas luggage cases in the diamond-shaped area of their bikes. Every man carried thirty rounds of ammunition.
That's all on Montana roads and trails of 1896. Damn. And that's not all, more to come.
This is from the June 1981 issue of True West, article by Don Miller.
Here's a tip to the greenies: when your windmills need permits to kill birds
so they can operate, it's not all that damn green.
...Earlier this year, Minnesota regulators rejected the proposal by a Pickens-owned firm, AWA Goodhue Wind, demanding the company provide more research on the number of eagles and bats that fly though the region. Acknowledging that its turbines would be lethal, Goodhue Wind has applied for a federal permit, introduced by the Obama administration, which would legally allow the facility to kill eagles. Meanwhile, the project remains in limbo.
...
Missouri: For years, residents of northern Missouri wondered why an Oregon-based energy company wanted to put a wind farm with as many as 118 turbines — each one 350 feet high — right next to the Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge. The 7,400-acre sanctuary attracts millions of migratory birds every year, including pelicans, wood ducks, trumpeter swans, sand hill cranes, blue herons, and snow geese – just to name a few.
...Biologist John Rushin, who has conducted research at Squaw Creek for 30 years, recently told the Kansas City Star: “If I could look all over northern Missouri for the worst possible place to put this thing, this would be it.” Facing a growing public backlash, Portland-based Element Energy backed out of the $400 million project in September.
And so on. Glad to see people standing against the damn things instead of lining up and chanting 'Green Energy!'
Is Social Psychology Biased Against Republicans? Change that to -Republicans, Libertarians and Conservatives and you'd have the better lead.
And the answer is "Yes".
I've got some reading to do. Dad gave me a box containing a lot of True West and Real West magazines his dad had saved. And there's a lot in them; ever heard of the 25th U.S. Infantry Bicycle Corps? Set up 1896 at Fort Missoula, all volunteer black troops. Definitely a lot of reading material for winter.
From one volcano...
tell me again how dirty humans are?
For eight weeks, lava has been spurting out of a fissure in the ground radiating from the Bárðarbunga volcano, about 250 kilometers from Reykjavik. Sulphur dioxide has been spurting too — 35,000 tons of it a day, more than twice the amount spewing from all of Europe’s smokestacks. The gas has spread across the Icelandic countryside, causing people to wheeze and trapping some indoors.
Hey, maybe 60 Minutes should investig- oh, right,
they and the rest of CBS News is already in this, up to their necks.
Gee, I wonder why?
Attkisson writes, “I couldn’t get past the fact that upper-level journalists at CBS had been a party to misleading the public.”John Sexton has some questions for CBS --though they're currently refusing any comment at all on anything to do with Sheryl Attkisson.
Under pressure from Attkisson and others, the network posted the exchange on its website the Sunday night before the election, but it got lost in the final hours of the campaign. She says CBS News President David Rhodes promised her there would be an internal investigation, but she never heard another word about it.
Gee, I wonder why?
More of that 'nonexistent' vote fraud
we're told isn't happening.
...This month, North Carolina officials found at least 145 illegal aliens, still in the country thanks to the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, registered to vote. Hundreds of other non-citizens may be on the rolls.
A voter-registration card is routinely issued without any identification check, and undocumented workers can use it for many purposes, including obtaining a driver’s license and qualifying for a job. And if a non-citizen has a voter-registration card, there are plenty of campaign operatives who will encourage him or her to vote illegally.
O’Keefe had a Brazilian-born immigrant investigator pose as someone who wanted to vote but was not a citizen. Greg Amick, the campaign manager for the Democrat running for sheriff in Mecklenburg County (Charlotte), was only too happy to help.
Ah, Rep. Grayson is such a class act,
isn't he?
Barely a week after being named the 17th richest member of Congress, liberal firebrand and Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson is refusing to support his estranged wife and their kids, and his wife has turned to government food stamps to support her family, WFTV 9 Orlando reports.
...
Mr. Grayson is refusing to support his family because he is claiming that she was never divorced from her first husband and therefore their marriage was never legitimate.
So he thinks HIS KIDS shouldn't be supported by him? Oh, isn't he such a principled and ethical POS?
Speaking of Democrat slimeballs, 'Voter fraud is almost nonexistent!' my ass:
An election integrity watchdog group is suing the state of Maryland, alleging that it has discovered massive and ongoing fraudulent voting by non-U.S. citizens in one county. But because of the way that the non-citizens are able to cast votes in elections, the fraud is likely happening in every single county and subdivision across the state. The group believes that the illegal voting has been happening for years.
The group, Virginia Voters Alliance, says that it compared how voters in Frederick County filled out jury duty statements compared with their voting records. The group’s investigation found that thousands of people in Frederick County who stated that they are not U.S. citizens on jury duty forms went on to cast votes in elections. Either they failed to tell the truth when they were summoned for jury duty, or they cast illegal votes. Both are crimes. The same group previously found that about 40,000 people are registered to vote in both Virginia and Maryland.
How bloody farging stupid do you have to be to think that 'fake robbery at the atm' is a PRANK?
Stupid bastard's lucky he didn't wind up unconscious AND bleeding. Or dead.
And while the CDC keeps changing their minds and the tune,
At page 7, Section 2.2.4 (“Ebola Characterization”), the Defense
Department’s BAA explains that Ebola is “aerostable” and, since other
filoviruses infect through “the respiratory route,” it is at least
theoretically possible that Ebola could, too. (The CDC elaborates that Ebola is a filovirus.) As the BAA puts it:
And Gov. Moonbeam of Californicated has apparently decided he's willing to piss off the President, too:
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- California is requiring a 21-day quarantine for people traveling from Ebola-stricken areas who have had contact with infected patients.
California is imposing the risked-based quarantines after the governors of New Jersey and New York were criticized for ordering mandatory quarantines. The Pentagon says troops returning from Ebola missions will be isolated.
While current science indicates the disease can only be transmitted by contact with contaminated body fluids, it remains unclear if other transmission modes are feasible. Filoviruses are able to infect via the respiratory route and are lethal at very low doses in experimental animal models, however the infectious dose is unknown. There is minimal information on how well filoviruses survive within aerosolized particles, and in certain media like the biofilm of sewage systems.The BAA goes on to add (my italics): “While current science indicates the disease can only be transmitted by contact with contaminat”Preliminary studies indicate that Ebola is aerostable in an enclosed controlled system in the dark and can survive for long periods in different liquid media and can also be recovered from plastic and glass surfaces at low temperatures for over 3 weeks.”
We're pissed because it's not just fraudulent voters,
it's some Gods-damned STATES cooking the books on votes.
If the 'Justice' Departments in these states actually gave a rats ass there'd be investigators performing anal exams on everyone who had access to the machines and software; chances of that actually happening, damn near zero. Because the bastards are part of the corruption.
Wonder if they have any idea the kind of pissed-off they're causing? Borrowing from Sarah Hoyt,
And what level of stupid does it take to think this level of blatant fraud is a good idea? We are savages barely held by the law and the trust that in general things aren't rigged. Who would want to unleash us?
Arrogant fools who think they can control everything, that's who.
To see the assholes of this administration calling Netanyahu
'chickenshit', 'coward' and 'no guts'... Projection much, you sorry bastards?
Where's Obama? Running away fast from ever using the word 'terrorist'.
Wow.
My name is Rivka Edelman, and I am the product of same-sex parenting.
Recently I published an essay on Public Discourse about the ruthless misogyny that pervades LBGT culture. I pointed out it that it can and will victimize women and children with impunity and then, in America’s narcissistic fugue, get hailed as brave and heroic.
Since my essay was published, there have been hundreds, maybe thousands, of posts calling me a liar or trying to shame, discredit, intimidate, and threaten me. Read this for details.
Sounds like she and others like her have definitely found themselves over the target. And they'd better have good armor.
Speaking of, looks like since trying to force churches to turn over records and sermons wasn't enough, the Mayor of Houston has decided to lie about Texas DPS. Yeah, that'll go over well.
Why do I despise so many Democrats?
Because they think this crap is just fine, long as they're saying it.
"We need to send Uncle Tom -- Tillis, that is -- home," she told the crowd to cheers and applause.
When it was Hillary Clinton's turn to speak, she had the highest praise for Adams, who just moments earlier used the questionable phrase about Hagan's Republican opponent.
A: When the 'Justice' Department makes a statement like this:
A Justice Department spokesman said in an earlier statement that "to our knowledge" the department "has never 'compromised' Ms. Attkisson's computers" or tried to obtain information from any of her devices.
they're completely full of shit. That's not a denial, that's a "Well, I don't know anything about it!" pretend-denial.
B: Especially with all this thrown in:
...Just when you think Attkisson’s imagination might be running away with her comes wave after wave of evidence that both her CBS computer and personal iMac were repeatedly hacked and its files accessed, including one on Benghazi. A consultant hired by CBS reached the same conclusion. Further scrutiny of her personal desktop proves that “the interlopers were able to co-opt my iMac and operate it remotely, as if they were sitting in front of it.” And an inspection revealed that an extra fiber-optics line had been installed in Attkisson’s home without her knowledge.
and
In the fall of 2013, with White House officials accusing Attkisson of being biased in her Benghazi reporting, the files in her MacBook Air suddenly began deleting at hyperspeed right before her eyes. She videotaped the process and showed it to two computer experts. "They're [blanking] with you," one says. "They're trying to send you a message," says the other. The experts also found evidence that the intruders had tried to cover their tracks by erasing 23 hours of log-in information.
And where's most of the media? If this had happened under Bush, they'd be screaming their heads off.
I'm sure Watts and Bloomberg are applauding this,
although they probably has a sad that their loony follower didn't get someone killed.
Note at the link all the approval of such tactics. Which I hope at some point gets their ass sued off for pushing people to make fake 911 calls for the purpose of getting someone killed.
Meanwhile, over that southern border we're not supposed to worry about securing,
Mexico's top prosecutor says a mayor and his wife ordered the attack on 43 students who have been missing for nearly a month. The couple — of
the town of Iguala in the southern state of Guerrero — are now
fugitives.
...
He said that on the night of Sept. 26, as the students were heading toward Iguala in several buses they had commandeered, the order to stop them came over the local police radios — and that is was given by "A-5," the code name for Iguala's mayor.
Local police intercepted the student's buses and started shooting, killing six people and rounding up the 43 students. According to the attorney general, the students were taken to another police force and then transported to the outskirts of Iguala. Those orders, he said, came from the head of the Guerreros Unidos, whom federal authorities captured last week.
Attorney General Murillo Karam said investigators are still trying to positively identify the remains of some 30 bodies found in nine graves outside Iguala.
But we're not supposed to worry about the border and who's crossing it, oh no...
Saw something on this early in the month, original story here.
Side thought: wonder if any of the guns Holder & Co. ran to the cartels were used in these murders?
A: Tell people to watch the voting machine closely
Voting machines that switch Republican votes to Democrats are being reported in Maryland.
“When I first selected my candidate on the electronic machine, it would not put the ‘x’ on the candidate I chose — a Republican — but it would put the ‘x’ on the Democrat candidate above it,” Donna Hamilton said.
“This happened multiple times with multiple selections. Every time my choice flipped from Republican to Democrat. Sometimes it required four or five tries to get the ‘x’ to stay on my real selection,” the Frederick, Md., resident said last week. Queen Anne County Sheriff Gary Hofmann said he encountered the problem, too, personally.
B: Remember: leftists are the tolerant, caring people
A Chicago black pastor has received death threats, had his church burglarized and had to move his family for safety reasons simply because he endorsed the Republican candidate for governor.
And they hate racists and personal attacks, too
One of the threats was played for the Chicago Sun Times and the caller could be heard saying “got that…f— we going to beat their a– too. They can’t protect you. You sell out you Uncle Tom a– n—–. You token. You a puppet for Bruce Rauner you puppet n—– a–. P—- a– n—–.”
I think this counts as 'They're tracking,
you're over the target."
In her new memoir, Sharyl Attkisson says a source who arranged to have her laptop checked for spyware in 2013 was “shocked” and “flabbergasted” at what the analysis revealed.
...
Attkisson says the source, who’s “connected to government three-letter agencies,” told her the computer was hacked into by “a sophisticated entity that used commercial, nonattributable spyware that’s proprietary to a government agency: either the CIA, FBI, the Defense Intelligence Agency or the National Security Agency.”
...
Attkisson says her source — identified only as “Number One” — told her the spying was most likely not court-authorized because it went on far longer than most legal taps.
But the most shocking finding, she says, was the discovery of three classified documents that Number One told her were “buried deep in your operating system. In a place that, unless you’re a some kind of computer whiz specialist, you wouldn’t even know exists.”
“They probably planted them to be able to accuse you of having classified documents if they ever needed to do that at some point,” Number One added.
And we're back to me needing a question answered: We're supposed to trust ANY of these bastards why?
Stettin Wisconsin PD;
you people suck.
And you demonstrate why you're not seen as Officer Friendly anymore.
At least your victims didn't have a dog for you to shoot.
Why nobody believes we're serious about smashing ISIL
Can you imagine Gen. "Pete" Quesada, whose IX Fighter Command carpeted northern France with dead Germans, putting out a press release to acknowledge the destruction of a guard shack? That is the inherent problem with the administration trying to convince the world that we're serious about ISIS. The world (ISIS included) knows what we look like when we're serious, and this ain't it.
Yeah. Tank columns and troop concentrations are passed up, but "SEE WHAT WE DID!" when one tank, or a truck, or an artillery piece is whacked. Serious, that is not.
Crazy, right? They don’t quite understand the world they’ve created. They think it’s the worst thing in the whole world for Internet Tough Guys to make death and rape threats* and also that it’s cool to joke about Bristol Palin actually being physically assaulted by a man. Because stoopid Rethuglicans, you know? Most amusingly, they don’t even seem to understand the contradiction. So they get really butthurt when someone else whips up an Internet rage mob against them. “Don’t you understand?” they seem to be crying. “We’re the good guys here! We only take on bad people! Those Other people. That aren’t good. Like us!”
It's Chicago, you'd expect better?
CTA train riders will be subject to random baggage screening next month as a part of a new security initiative to sweep for explosives at transit stations, Chicago police and CTA officials announced Friday morning.
In can understand why. Then you get to those messy details
Officers will ask passengers at random to submit to a screening.
“If the customer is willing to take part in the screening, the outside bag he or she is carrying will be swabbed with a small cloth,” Lipman told reporters. “The cloth is then inserted into a machine that detects the presence of explosive compounds.”
If passengers decline to participate in the screening, they will be denied entry and could be arrested under the officer’s discretion, authorities said.
Really? For WHAT, saying 'no' to a police officer?
I see large lawsuits in the future of Chicago.
Tab clearing
Hey, Felina, Dr. MarÃa del Rosario Fuentes Rubio, was just a lousy blogger, not one of Feinsteins' REAL 'legitimate news media' toadies, so who cares what she said, or that the cartel murdered her?
Besides, if they did actually report it would cause problems for Carlos Slim and Bookface Zuckerberg, and they can't have that. Or don't have the balls to. Or both.
The piece of shit who murdered two deputies the other day? One of Obama's dear undocumented workers.
I'm curious; does Dear Leader just not care about these murdered, slaves and rape victims? Or does their being murdered, enslaved and raped by ISIL cause him to have tolerance for some reason?
That's two Marines dead; anybody seen any daily body counts on the the major networks as yet?
Oh, that's right, there's a DEMOCRAT in the White House...
Sharyl Attkisson; one of the only real reporters out there. Which is why she's no longer with CBS: she wanted to actually REPORT, even on Obama & Co., and the network didn't want that.
You'd expect anything else from the 'PC at any Cost' people?
Some nice high-speed photography on a number of weapons
Yes, it's slowly getting better,
though however the hell the process managed to beat on my wrist this badly...
In any case, considering all, definitely time for study of new information
Question is "Did Obama and Holder lie to Congress and us?"
Anyone who actually tries to debate that is either a fool or in the tank.
None, or virtually none, of the documents itemized in the index have anything to do with setting government policy, which is the type of communication the deliberative process privilege is intended to protect. Rather, based on the descriptions given by DOJ’s lawyers, they are all about how the administration will try to spin the Fast and Furious scandal to avoid political damage. If you review the index, you will see what I mean. Here are a few examples.
First, the most explosive aspect of the scandal is the fact that border agent Brian Terry was killed with a Fast and Furious gun. The Obama administration worried a lot about this, not because it wanted to change policies so that similar tragedies would not happen in the future, but rather because it was trying to avoid political fallout. Its concern was “talking points” about Brian Terry.
...
So on October 6, 2011, Holder and his wife exchanged a series of emails about the “White House statement.” October 6, 2011, was a critical date. News reports had emerged that cast doubt on Holder’s claim that he had only recently learned about the Fast and Furious gun-walking program. Documents came to light that showed he had been briefed on the program far earlier than he stated.
...
Here are two more examples, out of literally thousands, of what the Obama administration considers to be protected by the “deliberative process” privilege. This first group of emails were on the same day as Holder’s exchange with his wife. The subject line of each is “Fwd: Holder Received at Least 5 Memos on Fast and Furious.” The purpose of the discussion among DOJ officials is, as usual, how to spin the news to avoid political damage. Each of the communications is described as “Email discussing strategy on responding to media.”
On and on and on.
Yes, I know the assholes will consider me to have drank more kool-aid for considering these people lying bastards. Or they'll just say I'm racist. Don't care, they can kiss my ass.
Now the question is 'Will any of the Stupid Party politicians actually DO anything? My hopes are not high.
You'll notice I don't ask if most of the media will say anything; I know better. Those that do will pose it as 'How now will those racist right-wingers attack Dear Leader?'
Yes, I'm back. No,
I'm not in a better mood or less achy, but I'm somewhat more pissed, so maybe that'll work.
This day started with being informed that, according to that bastion of scientific research Salon, a study showed that conservatives(i.e. "Anyone not a socialist") 'only listen to propaganda, nothing that will challenge their beliefs'. Etc. Which seems to have an amen pew made of up people who think Mother Jones and MSNBC are founts of unbiased reporting. Which fits in nicely with the previous studies showing conservative have a physical brain fault, and the one that said non-leftists aren't as smart as leftists, etc.
I may have mentioned it before, but I'm Gods-damned sick of this shit. I'm sick of being told "The reason you oppose Obama is he's BLACK!", and the same about that corrupt bastard Holder. I'm sick of "You only want the border closed because you're RACIST!" I'm sick of "The reason you don't want 'accusation equals guilt of sexual assault' on campus is YOU HATE WOMEN!"
I'm sick of being told that not agreeing with the socialist line* means I'm not smart enough to know what's good for me. I'm fucking sick of being told that not rolling over for any control-freak statist who demands it means "You hate anyone who's not just like you!" Especially since it comes from people who freaking hate anyone who refuses to think and act and speak the way they demand.
No, the rant doesn't help, but I got it out. I'm now going to go outside while it's nice, sit with a book and dogs to scratch, and attempt to ignore this shit for a while.
*'Progressive' my ass. They started using that word because people realized socialism was crap, and they're still trying to hide behind it. They're socialists or communists, and they can kiss my ass.
Related, I no longer call these asshats 'liberals', because- borrowing from Michael Z. Williamson- 'I call them leftists, because there's nothing liberal about them.'
I got nothin' this morning
but a sore hand & wrist, and a certain disgust with a large lump of humanity.
Maybe food will help.
