It's late, and I'm tired

Data's in

'Blunders'...

A rogue Democratic aide stole a massive trove of political data and used it to harm Republicans by “doxxing” them in what prosecutors call the “largest data theft in Senate history.”

The theft was made possible, and could have been much worse, because of myriad blunders by the Capitol Police and multiple Democratic congresswomen.
For the cops you might pass it off as incompetence, but the Democrats?  'Blunders' my ass.
Even after the computer administrator was caught in the act and arrested for spying on a senator’s office using his advanced technical skills, Capitol Police didn’t check the USB ports of nearby computers. Six different computers within steps of where he was arrested in the Senate had keylogger devices in them that continued to capture and beam private information over WiFi. They were only exposed through a confession.

Police then got a search warrant on his home, but missed critical evidence because they didn’t check the oven.

Toxic individuals were repeatedly passed among government offices apparently without anyone performing a background check or calling for job references. And despite lamentations from Democrats about the DNC hack, there was seemingly little concern about technology and data security.
That's not blunders, that's "Don't run the required stuff."

To this day, police haven’t been able to figure out how to detect the keyloggers from their signal, and it is hard to rule out that they aren’t still elsewhere on the Capitol complex.
Maybe the cops can't, but I'm pretty sure there are people handy in the effing Capitol who can do it.  And if they haven't been called in, heads need to roll.

Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas gave him an unpaid position, apparently without calling Hassan’s office as a reference check. The idea of a 27-year-old man who was working in a specialized role in the upper chamber suddenly taking an unpaid “internship” in the lower chamber didn’t seem to set off red flags for Jackson Lee.
Even given that Lee is a bleeping idiot, she's got better survival instincts than that, so how- oh.
Cosko is the son of a millionaire real estate developer who was the head of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and who has ties to California Sen. Dianne Feinstein and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He previously served in the offices of Feinstein and California Sen. Barbara Boxer.
'Blunders'.  Right.

Go read the rest.

One hot Friday out there,

with the humidity somewhere around bayou levels, good conditions to stay in with reading material

Starline Brass is having a contest,

and it's raising money for a good cause.

I have come to the conclusion that for the left yelling "Racist!"

isn't just an accusation: it's a means of not having to think about why someone might disagree.

After all, if someone's a Racist!, who cares what they think, or why?  You don't have to deal with arguing the position, you don't have to see the other guy as human with thoughts, he's just the Evil Representative of Whatever, and you can dismiss him entirely.

That's a lousy way to pretend to deal with things, and in the long term I think they're REALLY not going to like the results.

Why there should be a gallows in the town square

Except that in the craphole that is Seattle/King County, they'd probably use them on the victim.  For causing anguish to the felon or something.
Except in King County they'd probably use them on the victim for causing anguish to the felon.

Illegal alien, I'm betting(chickenshit paper doesn't say) rapes woman.  What followed:

A: However, Jane was upset to find that the King County Prosecutor’s Office charged Carranza-Ramirez with rape in the third degree. According to Washington state law, third-degree rape is a class C felony that encompasses date rape, but not violent rape.

“I was very angry and upset when I found out what the initial charge was, and I immediately wrote a letter … disputing [it] and saying why that wasn’t good enough,” Jane said.

The prosecutor’s office told her that they use a conservative filing policy to file lower charges, in the hopes that suspects will plead guilty quicker.
"What, you want us to actually do our jobs?  It's easier this way."

B: While he was sentenced to 12 months in jail, King County Superior Court Judge Nicole Gaines Phelps released him for the nearly nine months already served, on the conditions that he would return to Mexico, have no contact with Jane, and register as a sex offender. The court served him with a Sexual Assault Protection Order and ordered him to get on a plane to California on Monday, and then cross the border to Mexico by land.
He raped her twice, with her kid there, and GOT OUT ON NINE MONTHS SERVED... Because Nicole Phelps is a fucking idiot who probably considered him a poor victim of something, and didn't give a rats ass about the actual victims.

And they just turned the bastard loose to return to Mexico.  Even though
According to court documents, Carranza-Ramirez stated that murdering Jane would “set him free.”
they just TURNED THE BASTARD LOOSE...

C: Just as Jane dreaded, she says he found her and violently attacked her just three days after his release. He allegedly hit her in the face with a long, stick-like object, knocked her out of her wheelchair, and choked her as her son cried nearby.

The judge needs to be flogged at the least, and hanging would probably be appropriate.  The other morons involved, who did nothing to protect the victims, oh, let's go with the flogging.  And disbarment for the lawyers.  At least for a start.

On Bookface the other day

I'd mentioned the crap about Kyle Kashuv, and it attracted a compassionate leftist.  Which is to say "HE'S A RACIST ONLY TROUBLED BECAUSE HE GOT CAUGHT!", etc.  Which wound up including 'everyone who voted for Trump is racist and stupid and icky', all the trimmings.

Makes me wonder, are these clowns this 'You can NEVER be forgiven, never change!' the same way with everyone?  Or are they selective with forgiveness?

For a lot of them we know it's selective; otherwise people like Keith Ellison would be gone, and the Governor, Lt. Governor, and AG of Virginia wouldn't still be in office, and they wouldn't be kissing the ass of Calypso Louie.

No deep thoughts here, I'm just wondering if they realize how damned mercenary and nasty they appear with this crap?

When friggin' Bill Maher gets the idea...

Lot of the others probably get it, but don't care: "I just want to BAN GUNS, no matter what damage it does!"
“If you did everything that the Democrats wanted ... I still think you would have this problem because it's much more complicated … You’re going to be disappointed if you think just doing what they want gun-wise is gonna solve it,” he said.
...
“I don’t like guns. [I] have some, don’t like them. [I] have it for [an] emergency, like an antibiotic,” Maher said. “Some people do [like them]. Lots of people do and their view is, ‘Yes there is a violence problem with guns, but not me. And you’re going after me.’”
There's actually not a 'violence problem with guns', there's a violence problem among primarily minority males in inner-city areas, but the usual suspects would rather eat dung at a banquet than admit what the real problem is.

To every woke, oversensitive, whiny bitch out there:

Get the hell over yourself.

You get out of school and into the real world, you're in for some BIG surprises.

A: Feinstein is a lying, corrupt, hypocritical control freak.

B: The DC and Philadelphia Police are corrupt bastards who play political games.
However, a week after Mr. DeWitt’s request, Mrs. Feinstein’s press secretary, Tom Mentzer, asked the commander of the police department’s Crime Scene Investigation Division, Keith Williams, for 10 specific firearm models used in high-profile mass shootings, including a Bushmaster XM-15, Tec-9 handgun, Smith & Wesson M&P15 and a Glock 19 with a “high-capacity magazine.”

Since Cmdr. Williams did not have all the firearms the senator sought, Mr. DeWitt asked Philadelphia police to provide the missing ones, which meant bringing “the P15 and the Glock extended magazine” to Washington.

All of these firearms are illegal in the city — even on federal property — owing to the District’s law banning rifles with a detachable magazine and such features as a pistol grip or folding stock and all firearms with a magazines capacity of more than 10 rounds.

Chief Lanier wanted to help Mrs. Feinstein, but didn’t want the media to know.

Cmdr. Williams emailed Mr. Mentzer to put a “bug” in his ear that the police would “prefer that no mention of the fact that the weapons came from D.C. or were recovered by MPDC in the official language or speeches.” Mr. Mentzer replied, “By not mentioning where the weapons came from, we open ourselves up to the same charge against David Gregory.”

He was referring to the anchor of NBC’s “Meet the Press,” who knowingly procured an illegal 30-round magazine in the District as a stunt for his TV show, but was not charged.
...
The chief wrote to lobbyist Mr. DeWitt, “So much for our agreement.” Mr. DeWitt replied: “Well, Ramsey and Feinstein followed our script, but who would have guessed that [Gainer] would burn us.” He drafted a response for the police to send to me and added in a note, “I don’t know how you put up with people like Emily … .” Chief Chief
Screw ALL these bastards, every damned one of them.

Tab clearing

"No scandals at all(that the media wanted to tell you about)!"

Not only should the Oberlin damages stand, there ought to be a way to make some of these 'teachers' and administrators pay out of their own pockets as much as possible.

If you think a comment made when he was 16 is why, you're a fool.
As for Harvard bitching about racism, take a look at THEIR past, and the way they treat Asian students now.

"I need votes from the left, so screw Israel.  Help me, Obama aides!"

Stupid SHOULD hurt;

problem is when the ones hurt are kids instead of the supposed 'adults' watching them.
A 62-year-old Australian man who ventured to within 3 to 5 feet of one bison was seriously injured Tuesday when the animal charged and tossed him into the air several times, park officials said in a statement.

This is the second such incident within weeks.

A 16-year-old Taiwanese exchange student was gored by a bison on May 15 while posing for a photo.
...
As they were hiking near the Old Faithful Geyser, they stopped where a group of people had gathered to watch a bison grazing next to the trail.

“The girl turned her back to the bison to have her picture taken when the bison lifted its head, took a couple steps and gored her,” the Park Service said.

The family was believed to have been standing between 3 feet and 6 feet from the animal, the park service said. She, too, sustained serious injuries.

I shall dispense with the usual excuses

and just present the result, lower right being a called flyer
25 yards, indoors, the previously mentioned bullets over 9.0 grains Green Dot.  Very little recoil.

Going to have to mess with this some more; it's a lot easier than paper patching

Unless Barr & Co. force it, or Wray has a BIG change of attitude,

the EffingBI SHOULD never be trusted again; if the place isn't cleaned out it's not worthy of trust.
The media (and the Democrats, of course) deliberately missed the point because you would have to be seriously intellectually challenged not to get why Trump might have been hesitant or ambivalent about going to the FBI. These days only a total dimwit would unquestioningly trust the supposed "world's greatest law enforcement agency." The FBI is under a dark cloud.

The litany of personages who have recently left or been expelled from that organization is long and getting longer. As is well known, it's under investigation for its practices during and before the Mueller probe, via the inspector general and recently-appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham, who is famed for prosecuting FBI agents with ties to the Boston mob. All this is being supervised by AG William Barr.

Seems like even the local "We are PC, we see no problem with Omar" media

has realized they can't keep ignoring her mess, or blaming it on 'racism':
Omar, for two years running, filed joint tax returns with a man she was living with but not legally married to. Complicating matters further, she was legally married to another man at the time.
It’s against the law in Minnesota to file jointly unless one filer is legally married to the other. Last year Omar told the Star Tribune that she had married her partner “in her faith,” and had earlier divorced her first husband “in her faith.” That’s fine for religious purposes. But for tax purposes, only civil marriages qualify. It’s not known whether she benefited materially by filing jointly. That is something that voters, who are obliged to follow tax laws no matter how painful, are entitled to know.
No crap?  Would've been nice if you'd had some desire to actually be friggin' REPORTERS at an earlier time instead of ass-kissers:
When local political commentator/publisher Blois Olson cited the August 2016 Power Line post and referred to Power Line as “a trustworthy conservative news source” in his daily newsletter, Goldbarb advised: “Someone should reach out to talk off the record [with Olson] and shut it down with him as we do with the Strib” (page 22). Goldfarb remarked on his struggle to arrive at a helpful statement of the facts to cover Omar’s situation — one cultural husband, one legal husband — and lamented that “I think it’s impossible without making it even more confusing. It just doesn’t work in writing” (page 38).
The committee’s crisis strategy from the outset was founded on personal attacks and predicated on the confidence that the attacks would carry the day with their friends working on the news at the Star Tribune and elsewhere in the local media. Their confidence was not entirely misplaced. The Star Tribune covered the story, but took the Omar campaign’s minimalistic statements as the last word on the matter. To this day the paper reiterates their assertions as the settled facts of the case.
And some of them will continue to, as it blow up in their faces.  Although it looks like there are some limits to the crap even the Strib will try to pass over.

You may not be relieved, but I certainly am,

that 'Better living through chemistry' is sometimes true.  The problem is hugely better, and I'm going to try to keep it that way.

This sounds like the Dominican .gov needs to receive a phone call:

"All efforts to force the family to agree to cremation will cease.  The body will be returned to the US.  Since your toxicology testing equipment isn't working, and you don't know when it will be, the tests will be performed here in the US.

And it will happen now."
