wrapping insulation around air pipes threw me off. But did I forget?
I did not.

Harry Reid has to be one of the most vile and corrupt bastards
in government.
The Bureau of Land Management, whose Director was Sen. Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) former senior adviser, has purged documents from its web site stating that the agency wants Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s cattle off of the land his family has worked for over 140 years in order to make way for solar panel power stations.
...
In 2012, the New American reported that Harry Reid’s son, Rory Reid, was the chief representative for a Chinese energy firm planning to build a $5-billion solar plant on public land in Laughlin, Nevada.
And journalist Marcus Stern with Reuters also reported that Sen. Reid was heavily involved in the deal as well.
“[Reid] and his oldest son, Rory, are both involved in an effort by a Chinese energy giant, ENN Energy Group, to build a $5 billion solar farm and panel manufacturing plant in the southern Nevada desert,” he wrote. “Reid has been one of the project’s most prominent advocates, helping recruit the company during a 2011 trip to China and applying his political muscle on behalf of the project in Nevada.”

The CSGV: attempting to censor speakers
because it's hard to lie about what someone says when people hear it first-hand.
Branca also has received invitations to speak at law schools. He and I spoke at Cornell Law School at the invitation of the Cornell Law Second Amendment Club. Branca also has been invited to speak about the Zimmerman case and the law of self defense at Campbell University Law School and U.C. Berkeley Law School.
CSGV apparently feels that Branca’s views on the Zimmerman case should not be heard on law school campuses. CSGV has gone through Branca’s Twitter feed to find tweets CSGV characterizes as celebrating Martin’s death. Accordingly, CSGV has started urging others not to provide Branca “a platform”:
Because students actually hearing and debating things is bad. When it's a subject CSGV doesn't want them to learn about, except from the CSGV.

"I want a bunch of you commoners(especially white ones) to DIE!
so we can prove to you that The Science Is Settled!"
Part of being a science communicator is hoping a natural disaster kills as many members of the audience as possible, as soon as possible, with as much media exposure as possible. As a communicator myself, I’d like nothing better than for thousands of middle-class white people to die in an extreme weather event—preferably one with global warming’s fingerprints on it—live on cable news. Tomorrow.
The hardest thing about communicating the deadliness of the climate problem is that it isn’t killing anyone. And just between us, let’s be honest: the average member of the public is a bit (how can I put it politely?) of a moron. It’s all well and good for the science to tell us global warming is a bigger threat than Fascism was, but Joe Q. Flyover doesn’t understand science. He wants evidence.
Um, because evidence has nothing to do with science? Beats me.
Such wonderful people are the warmenists, are they not? Further evidence:

Cognitive scientist C. R. R. Kampen thinks the annihilation of a city of 150,000 people might just provide the teaching moment we need:
And that mass disaster would be good, because GLOBULAR WARMENING!! WE NEED A CONVERSATION!!!
Problem is, they don't want a conversation, they want surrender; "You must do whatever we decide is needed to Fight Globular Warmering, because nothing else will do!"
You see, consensus is so often only reached after a painful confrontation with evidence.(Let me dispel, right up front, a common and perhaps forgivable misinterpretation of this family of argument: no, Dr Kampen doesn’t mean to suggest the destruction of a single city would be sufficient. That’s just a silly strawman. As a scientist himself, Kampen is acutely aware that a single data point, such as the deletion of Cairns, would not even be attributable to man-made global warming with any confidence—let alone would it prove the planet was worse off, taking all metrics into account, under BAU. What we’re talking about here is a possibility which, with luck, would start a conversation on climate action, not end one.)
Knowing this, I hope against knowledge of her expected track that Cyclone Ita will wipe Cairns off the map. Because the sooner the lesson is learnt by early confrontation, the better one more population will be suited to anticipate and mitigate the vast weather and climate (+ related) disasters that lie in the immediate future and to lose all distractions on the way.
And that mass disaster would be good, because GLOBULAR WARMENING!! WE NEED A CONVERSATION!!!
Problem is, they don't want a conversation, they want surrender; "You must do whatever we decide is needed to Fight Globular Warmering, because nothing else will do!"
Looks like Gov. Howler has some worries on his mind
MORE worries.
With the April 15 deadline for gun registration under the SAFE Act fast approaching, estimates indicate over 90 percent of gun owners have yet to comply.
Making matters worse for elected officials--and Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) in particular--is the fact that many law enforcement officers at various levels have openly stated that they will not enforce SAFE Act requirements.
Imagine that at a press conference: "Governor, how do the State Police feel about being ordered to jail people for this? Especially since so many sheriffs will not cooperate? And how many people are you willing to see in prison for this?"
Nice followup: "Has it been considered that if the State Police, and any sheriffs who are willing to enforce SAFE act, raid houses that someone is get going to get killed?"
In January of this year The Oneida Daily Dispatch reported that Assemblyman Bill Nojay (R-Pittsford) suggested that law enforcement is not going to be eager to go after those who refuse to comply: "The rank and file troopers don't want anything to do with it. [And] I don't know of a single sheriff upstate who is going to enforce it."
Nojay continued: "If you don't have the troopers and you don't have the sheriffs, who have you got? You've got Andrew Cuomo pounding on the table in Albany."
Wonder how the brass in the State Police are thinking about this? There's always some people who'll do anything as long as they have orders to cover their ass; there's also a bunch of guys who A: don't think this is a good idea and B: wonder how they'll do if most of the local population is pissed at them for putting Mr. James and Ms. Jones in jail for not registering the gun they've owned for years.

Chances of BATFEIEIO actually going after these people:
Just about zero. Same for Holder's DoJ.
Federal Air Marshal Service director Robert Bray is one of several officials being investigated in connection with the scheme, and his retirement is directly related to the investigation, reports FoxNews.com.
The probe is believed to involve the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and stems from whistleblower accusations against FAMS supervisor Danny Poulos. He is accused of using the agency’s license and connection with gun manufacturer Sig Sauer to collect and redistribute discounted or free guns for high-up TSA and FAMS officials’ personal use.
According to documents obtained by Fox News.com, the director and former deputy director “received several firearms from [the supervisor] that included ‘special purchases’ such as long guns and assault rifles.”
...
The documents also claim the ongoing investigation “is being conducted quietly to keep Congress in the dark on the gross mismanagement and misdeeds that the FAMS senior management staff have perpetrated for several years.”
Homeland Security subcommittee chair Rep. Richard Hudson wrote a letter to TSA head John Pistole Thursday complaining Congress has not been properly notified of the investigation and expressed “grave concern” about the claims of misconduct, reports Fox News.
If he expects an actual answer from "I think flying is a privilege" Pistole...

Pretty good breakdown of the IRS corruption
And yes, a bunch of Democrats were/are right in the middle of it.
...Little noticed in the immediate aftermath of the IRS scandal was a letter sent May 23, 2013, by Carl Levin and (Republican) John McCain to the new acting director of the IRS disguised as an expression of outrage over IRS targeting. Artfully hidden within it was Mr. Levin's acknowledgment that his subcommittee on investigations had for a full year been corresponding and meeting with IRS staff (including Ms. Lerner) to ask "why it was not enforcing the 501(c)(4) statute."
What was said in the course of that year? How much specific information was demanded on conservative groups, and how many demands dispensed on how to handle them? Good questions.
In 2012, both the IRS and Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings were targeting the group True the Vote. We now have email showing contact between a Cummings staffer and the IRS over that organization. How much more contact was there? It's one thing to write a public letter calling on a regulator to act. It's another to haul the regulator in front of your committee, or have your staff correspond with or pressure said regulator, with regard to ongoing actions. That's a no-no.
One more entry in the "Only LE can be trusted to carry guns" log.
The latest statement conflicts with the sheriff's department's earlier statement about the incident, which claimed that the other man was not hit. The LASD has not said why it took so long to figure out that its deputies shot two people instead of one. Another deputy told CBS LA that Winkler and the other man "aggressed the deputies."
After shooting the two innocent men, deputies entered the apartment, found the actual suspect and arrested him. All four men involved ended up in the hospital.
In other news, my hummingbird feeder leaks; I'm off to get a new one.

Why we're winning: it's fun
Hit the outdoor range the other day*, and after I'd been shooting a while a whole group showed up: family, including three people from Germany over visiting(Dad, Mom and daughter). They set up a bench and started with a Savage .22 Mag rifle. Reason I caught some of this is it was also a English practice time: the daughter asked something in German and was told "Use English!"
What she said was(right at the start) "It's been so long!" and either Grandpa or Uncle smiled and said "You'll remember it", and she did. At the time I left Mom and the elders had gone down to the handgun range, and Dad & Daughter were happily shooting targets at 100 with the Savage.
You don't get that at a "I'm scared of guns and the troglodytes who use them!" screaming session.
Added: tried a 7.5x55 load, a 200-grain gas-checked bullet sized .311 over 16.0 of 2400 from the K31; shot a nice, tight group, around 2" at 100 yards. Only had five(try it before load a bunch), so I'll be loading more of these for further trial. Velocity was about 1550fps, and it dropped a LOT compared to the 150-grain cast(let alone factory ammo); I'll have to figure out the sight elevation change for this load.

Everyone involved. Sue them for all they have Link fixed
or ever will have. Especially since the chances of there being any charges prosecuted against the bastards is just about zero.
I'll let you read the whole thing for the full Curtain of Blood effect, but I will borrow two pieces:
I'll let you read the whole thing for the full Curtain of Blood effect, but I will borrow two pieces:
Fleming told his
attorneys he had paid a bill for phone calls made from his Florida hotel
room the night before Rush was killed, and he believed the receipt was
in his pocket when police arrested him. But authorities told the defense
he had no such receipt, according to Koss.
In the course of the
investigation, the Conviction Review Unit found the receipt in police
records, time stamped and dated -- solidifying Fleming's claim that he
was in Florida at the time of the killing, according to the district
attorney's office.
"This is proof of alibi that was basically purposely withheld," Koss said.
And on the 'witness' against him,
A review unit search of police records years later came up with a
timeline. The woman on probation was arrested with another woman on
grand larceny charges and brought to the Brooklyn district attorney's
office, where she gave a statement. Within the hour, the investigation
found, charges against her were dropped.
Let's see, perjury, paying for fake testimony, hiding evidence, knowingly putting an innocent man in prison... fuck suing them, HANGING is too good for the bastards.
No wonder that bastard Cummings wanted the IRS hearings to end;
he didn't want this coming out.
The top Democrat on a House committee tasked with investigating the IRS scandal may have been involved in the targeting of a Texas-based conservative group, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) claimed on Wednesday.
Citing documents obtained last week, Issa suggested Wednesday that Rep. Elijah Cummings’ (D-Md.) seeming eagerness to end the IRS investigation may be due to the fact that the Maryland congressman’s office in August 2012 communicated with the IRS about True the Vote, a non-profit group dedicated to preventing voter fraud.
I'm calling bullshit on this:
“Our security force, based on limited information, made a high-risk traffic stop and believed that this vehicle was stolen based on the information they received,” said Cassie Barlow, 88th Airbase Wing Commander at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Really? They 'believed' the vehicle was stolen? Based on what? Information from where?
Sounds like they really effed-up, and are trying very hard to come up with an excuse.
Well, look what else is coming out about Gov. Howler's bill:
Under the SAFE Act, the New York Department of Criminal Justice (NYDCJ), the overseer of the database, may declare a person ineligible to own or possess a weapon without any type of judicial process.
Furthermore, the suit argues that if the NYDCJ declares a person ineligible, “such a determination makes the person vulnerable to imminent seizure of all weapons, without a hearing or even an arrest warrant.”
Bastards.

Another reason for anyone successful to leave New Effing York
A change this month in New York's estate tax, which was billed as tax
relief for the wealthy, contains a hidden wrinkle that could leave some
multimillionaires with a much bigger surprise tax upon their death.
Certain estates could even wind up with a tax rate of 164 percent on portions of their estates, according to one tax expert.

Oh, all that ammo...
Also from Mr. Henick,
"They ran really fast up the driveway. They left a shoe behind - it's a Nike Air Jordan. ... They ran really fast, and you can tell something went down."
If they were that scared, it was probably going down their pants.

Brandeis University: PC-at-any-cost idiots, or cowards?
I'm going with a mix of both.
Brandeis University originally invited Ayaan Hirsi Ali to receive an honorary degree at its spring commencement, and created a storm of controversy on its campus. It has now withdrawn that offer, and may have created a storm of controversy outside of its campus as well.
Yep; cowards and PC idiots both.

It appears Chicago decided to go the British route on crime numbers:
change them around and lie so the mayor and CoP look better.
And if a bunch of murder victims wind up being ignored? Well, that's the price they pay for Mayor Rahm and Chief McCarthy.
Given the finding of homicide—and the corroborating evidence at the crime scene—the Chicago Police Department should have counted Groves’s death as a murder. And it did. Until December 18. On that day, the police report indicates, a lieutenant overseeing the Groves case reclassified the homicide investigation as a noncriminal death investigation. In his writeup, he cited the medical examiner’s “inability to determine a cause of death.”
That lieutenant was Denis Walsh—the same cop who had played a crucial role in the alleged cover-up in the 2004 killing of David Koschman, the 21-year-old who died after being punched by a nephew of former mayor Richard M. Daley. Walsh allegedly took the Koschman file home. For years, police officials said that it was lost. After the Sun-Times reported it missing, the file mysteriously reappeared.
But back to Tiara Groves. With the stroke of a computer key, she was airbrushed out of Chicago’s homicide statistics.

Socialist 'progressives' compared to actual liberals;
Socialist crapweasels lose.
"Why does the EPA have a SWAT team?" Same reason the Dept. of Education does: because they can get away with it, it gives them more power, and because if you don't have one you're not one of the cool kids' groups.
There was a similar incident in California where a SWAT team burst into a man’s house and dragged him handcuffed to the front lawn on orders from the Department of Education to look for evidence his ex-wife had committed financial aid fraud.
A: IF these clowns were actual LE professionals, they'd have said "Hell no!" when told to raid for such a reason. Bet the clowns refer to themselves as 'operators', too.
B: Every one of them, from the idiot who gave the order to the clowns who carried it out, should have been fired. But not crap will happen to them. Same goes for the EPA SWAT team in Alaska.
Speaking of people who should be fired and prosecuted, I present to you the SEC:
Two stories popped up last week that raise serious concerns about the way that the SEC tramples on the Constitution. The first is that in a hearing, SEC boss Mary Jo White was asked why the SEC is so resistant to ECPA reform and what's wrong with getting a warrant, and more or less admitted that it's standard practice for the SEC to not get a warrant, but to rely on loopholes in ECPA to get access to emails. Prior to this, many had assumed that this was just a desire of the SEC, not that they were regularly doing it. But White's answer makes it clear that the SEC views this practice -- which seems like it should be a clear 4th Amendment violations -- as standard operating procedure.
...
Meanwhile, concerning a separate issue, Mark Cuban and his lawyer published an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal last week, discussing the SEC's totally bogus case against him for insider trading, which got tossed out by a lawyer. The key issue they discussed is how the SEC had exculpatory evidence that proved Cuban had done no wrong from back in 2004 -- and then did everything possible to avoid turning over that evidence, as is normally required in legal proceedings.
More 'liberal' attacks on unapproved speech:
Another incident of muzzling those without the proper worldview received less attention. Kickstarter, the nation's biggest crowd-funding site, refused to accept a film about convicted abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell unless descriptions of his crimes were removed.
After producers Phelim McAleer and his wife, Ann McElhinney, complained publicly, embarrassed Kickstarter CEO Yancey Strickler claimed on Twitter that the allegation was false. Strickler released an e-mail accepting the Gosnell film, but failed to mention that it was accepted only after the filmmakers withdrew in frustration. The producers released e-mails from Kickstarter demanding that references to stabbing babies and "similar language" be removed. The "acceptance letter" came March 28, the day after the producers withdrew their proposal.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I shall try to do something about the mess around here. And then take those pictures I promised.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I shall try to do something about the mess around here. And then take those pictures I promised.

You look through Yee's history,
he's a fair slimeball. But he voted the right way to make the Democrat Party happy, so he stayed in office. Over and over.
You'll note that he's suspended from the Senate with pay(can't be too harsh with him, after all). And I guarantee that if someone finds an excuse for him, the Ds will jump right on it. And most of the major media has been in the tank so long that not covering this doesn't even take any effort.
I swear, when it comes to raw milk co-ops and home schooling organizations, the government is like a cross between Sherlock Holmes and Robocop, but with matters of actual external security it's suddenly the love child of Inspector Clouseau and Colonel Klink.
Well, Tam, there are priorities, y'know; it's just that our overlords don't consider things like actual foreign threats as important to deal with as someone not doing all their paperwork for the various .gov agencies.
One more celebritute pushing a racist group, but it's ok because it's PC racism.
So what exactly do Five Percenters believe?
“The rationale is that the black man is God and created the universe, and is physically stronger and intellectually stronger and more righteous naturally,” says Michael Muhammad Knight, an author of two books on the radical group.
“Whiteness is weak and wicked and inferior — basically just an errant child who needs to be corrected.”
In other words, it's the Klan in black robes. But the robe color makes it a Good Organization or something.
On the current 'The debate is over!' crap,
Today’s clerisy in some ways resembles the clerical First Estate in pre-revolutionary France, which, in the words of the historian Georges Lefebvre, “possessed a control over thought in the interests of the Church and king.” With today’s clerisy, notes essayist Joseph Bottum, “social and political ideas [are] elevated to the status of strange divinities ... born of the ancient religious hunger to perceive more in the world than just the give and take of ordinary human beings, but adapted to an age that piously congratulates itself on its escape from many of the strictures of ancient religion.”
The socialist version of dhimmi; interesting thought. "Yes, you are allowed your beliefs, as long as you pay the tax." Which is bullshit, but exactly what is being pushed by the socialists, especially ref Obamacare and the contraceptive/abortion mandate.

"Yes, my deputy is a pushy bastard who grabbed a camera
just because he didn't want to be on video; I don't care, and I'll defend him no matter what bullshit I have to say!" And bullshit it is, especially when the deputy says “We don’t need you calling people,” just before he grabs the camera.
Well, Sheriff Scott, I hope someone you treat so sues the ass off you and your agency; maybe that'll get your attention.
Eric Holder wants to force people to use unreliable tech that will make your gun unusable when you need it; bit surprise, isn't it? Especially when you read
The technology also seeks to allow remote disabling, called Wide Area Control, of firearms in certain areas, such as airports and schools.
Or anywhere else the authorities decide to use it. Like a neighborhood. Which means, since there will always be pre-requirement and illegally modified guns the bad guys will use, means honest citizens who use such crap will be disarmed.
Oh, and let's not forget the cops; THEY won't have to use the stuff.
Maybe we should just start calling them all National Socialists; so many of them seem to have this thing about Jews...

Some new grip screws came in,
and I like them. Close up
and from a bit more distance
No, I'm not Jewish, I just like the design. You can find them here, along with four other designs. Come with o-rings to put on the shaft if needed, and a hex key for installing.
They're connected with the folks who make these grips, and DAMN!, if I wasn't using the CT grips I'd be looking real hard at some of these; 'shiny' doesn't cover it.
Hmmm, maybe after I get the Kimber frame rebuilt and put on the .22 top end...
Further on the continuing work:
The big thing is I undercut the trigger guard just a bit, and polished the ramp a touch. Yes, there will be pictures; that's going to be a separate post.

Yes, I'm still alive
Though I'm achy enough to argue about how much. Most of the matter taken care of this weekend, so that's done.
Stuff to clean up, and other crap to take care of, so I'll hold myself to one piece of idiocy this morning:
"A member of my party is an arms trafficker, so we should ban these guns!" Etc.
According to the San Francisco Examiner, Speier released a statement saying: "The FBI investigation of Leland Yee reveals how easy it is to import lethal assault weapons that were previously banned."
Speier added:
Yee was indicted last month after trying to help undercover FBI agents obtain "$500,000 to $2.5 million" worth of weapons--"including shoulder fired automatic weapons and missiles...from a Muslim separatist group in the Philippines."
Let's see, a Democrat who wants guns banned was involved in a plan to smuggle automatic weapons(illegal for citizen to own) and SAMs(illegal) and other such crap, so semi-auto firearms should be banned from legal import...
Yep. Democrat and gun bigot reasoning at its finest.

This case should be a warning to us all that even the most trusted appearing among us are ready to do real harm. Since Congress can pass no meaningful gun control laws, even after the mass killing in Newtown, President Obama should use his pen to slow the import of these weapons, which have no place in our homes.

Like to see a professor say "This entire CLASS gets at 'trigger warning',
because I want you to THINK, you pussies."
“Some students and professors argue that nearly everything should come with a trigger warning,” wrote Laurie Essig, a professor of psychology at Middlebury College and a contributor to the Chronicle of Higher Education. “Mrs. Dalloway? Trigger warning: suicidal tendencies. The Great Gatsby? Trigger warning: suicide, domestic abuse, graphic violence. Think I’m making this up? I’m not.”
Essig provided the example of a Rutgers University student who praised trigger warnings as an ideal compromise between free expression and censorship, noting that “by creating trigger warnings for their students, professors can help to create a safe space for their students — one that fosters positive and compassionate intellectual discussion within the collegiate classroom.”
I'm going to borrow this from Mr. Williamson:
Busy, so may be back later. May not.

Stop being a little pussy.
What was that?
Stop being a little pussy.
Oh, right. Profanity. That's good.
Stop being a little pussy.
It's also sexist. You're genderizing negativity as female.
Stop being a little pussy.
This isn't funny. You're a misogynistic troglodyte.
Stop being a little pussy.
I get it. Don't you have anything intellectual to say?
Stop being a little pussy.
You know, I'm just going to copy this to everyone I know so they can see what kind of person you are.
Stop being a little pussy.
Would you stop repeating yourself?
As soon as you stop being a little pussy.
Behavior like yours is what's wrong with America.
Stop being a little pussy.
Fuck you. I'm just going to block you so I don't have to listen to this.
That won't help you stop being a little pussy.
You're a racist!
Stop being a little pussy.
You probably have a small penis, too.
Stop being a little pussy.
I'm going to find some tolerant people to talk to, who agree with me.

Tab clearing. Also
family business calls the next few days, bloggage will be light to nonexistent.
Idiot who required five beanbag rounds, a taser and a shield to take out- and kill- a 95-year-old man? Idiot with the shotgun's being charged.
Alcoholic Beverage Control agents who should've been fired a long time ago now being sued.
There's a reason that the anti-self-defense zealots refuse to make a distinction between the concepts of "guns everywhere," and "guns everywhere except where there is no potential need for them." It's because even they lack the audacity to try to dispute the fact that no such distinction exists.
Yes, Yee WOULD have tried to use it to push for more laws. Maybe he was taking lessons from BATFE.
That's a good question: where IS Commie Steve Rattner during all this GM "We let people die because we were too cheap to fix the problem, and we're now Government Motors so leave us alone" crap?
Next time some asshole at Mozilla whines about 'unfair treatment' or 'free speech', they need a serious kick in the crotch. Morons.
Just looked at the Mozilla blog: "Comments are closed"

"Oh, you mean THAT vote fraud...
YOU'RE A RACIST!!"
The North Carolina State Board of Elections has found thousands of instances of voter fraud in the state, thanks to a 28-state crosscheck of voter rolls. Initial findings suggest widespread election fraud.
If this is true, the the officer should be fired.
From those wonderful people at BATFEIEIO: "Just because we keep using mentally retarded people, doesn't mean we MEANT to!"
“We do not target the developmentally disabled,” ATF director Todd Jones testified before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Really?
The Journal-Sentinel investigation found that agents in Wichita decided to hire an unemployed 20-year-old man with an IQ in the mid-50s who they referred to as “slow-headed.” Agents in Pensacola, Fla., befriended an unemployed 24-year-old with an IQ of 76. ATF agents joked he was “half retarded,” and surveillance video captured one saying, “I can use his desperation against him.”
All coincidental, I'm sure.
But don't worry, Jones is on the case!
“You don’t think your agents dealing with an individual with an IQ in the 50s knew they were dealing with a mentally disabled person?” Duckworth asked Jones. “If your IQ is in the 50s it is very clear someone is mentally disabled.”
“To be honest with you, Congresswoman, I don’t know what they thought,” Jones replied.
Y'know, if GM had received anywhere near the kind of attention that, say, Toyota di-
oh yeah, Government Motors. Never mind.
...It announced this week that it too was recalling over a million vehicles that had sudden loss of electric power steering. This, after recalling nearly 3 million vehicles for ignition-switch problems that the company knew about since 2001 and are now linked 13 deaths. GM has apologized. But does anyone believe the Obama administration took as hard a look at GM as it did Toyota?
Speaking of racist bullshit,
Leonard Zeskind, an author and activist, hosted a session on the racist roots of the tea party, a limited government movement that returned the U.S. House of Representatives to Republican control in 2010.
In Zeskind’s view, the oppression of minorities is a central motivating principal of the tea party.
...
Tea party groups are similar to white nationalist groups, he said.
...
Zeskind denounced other racists as well. People who send their kids to private schools are also racists. People who disagree with President Obama are racists.
Be a shorter list for this bigoted fool to decide what he DOESN'T see as racist.

- 765 voters with an exact match of first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in N.C. and the other state in the 2012 general election.
- 35,750 voters with the same first and last name and DOB were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in both states in the 2012 general election.

To the fatass generals and admirals noted below:
Fuck you.
Senior Pentagon officials told Congress on Tuesday that troops are willing to sacrifice portions of their pay and benefits if it means keeping and improving the training and equipment needed to do their jobs.
Really? The troop who I got this link from had it headed "Anyone wonder why I'm getting out?"
I can see it now: "Honey, I know we're barely making it now, but if I give up some of my pay and benefits they MIGHT use the money to buy us some ammo for practice!" Said no soldier ever to his wife/husband.
I know nothing about these assholes with rank, so I'm just going to scream here:
You assholes. You miserable little shits. I am curious, how long since any of you stood a watch in a bad place? Or were out on the sharp end wondering if you're about to die?
Tell you what: take every God-damned penny spent on your perks and whatevers of office, cut you OWN pay and benefits FIRST- say, down to the level of captain- and I might believe you actually think this shit is a good idea. Otherwise, you're just one more bunch of scumsucking politicians in uniform trying to get a pat on the head from your masters.

Why you're not Officer Friendly anymore, Reason #318:
Lying, abusive, miserable excuse for a lawman.
Who apparently pretty much got away with it(unless you count being allowed to resign as sufficient punishment).
And, while we're at it, why the HELL didn't the prosecutors look at the video sooner?
Why Nobody Trusts Federal Agents: because you can run guns to Mexico and help get hundreds killed, you can lie to Congress, sign false documents, and otherwise behave like cartel members and the friggin' directors of ATF won't do shit.
The Justice Department had called for the firing of William Newell, who was the special agent in charge of the operation, and a suspension for case agent Hope MacAllister. Newell was not fired and MacAllister was only reprimanded. The ATF did follow the suggestion of the DoJ to demote David Both, reports The Blaze.
Todd Jones didn’t take over as ATF director until August 2013, so he was not directly involved with the scandal. However, he was director when the agency decided to give ATF officials involved lesser penalties than the DoJ reccommended.
Directly connected: When the .gov lies all the time, why should we worry about telling the truth to them?
And yet more lying oathbreaking bastards in government:
"According to Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, 'There have been queries, using U.S. person identifiers, of communications lawfully acquired to obtain foreign intelligence targeting non-U.S. persons reasonably believed to be located outside the United States. These queries were performed pursuant to minimization procedures approved by the Fisa court and consistent with the statute and the fourth amendment.' Basically, if you communicated with someone that is 'reasonably believed' to be a terrorist, you've lost constitutional protection against searches without a warrant, according to the NSA.
Cops lie under oath and put innocent people in jail, and face no charges; prosecutors break the law and pay no penalty, and whine in rage when someone threatens them with penalty; every friggin' agency lies, and the IRS abuses power for political purposes AND NOTHING HAPPENS TO THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE... Kevin may be right, it may be too late to start shooting the bastards.

Nice people Mayor Commissar has working for him
“NYPD fatally shoot knife-wielding man in Times Square. (VIDEO) F–k. The. Police,” ranted de Blasio volunteer coordinator Kicy Motley on Aug. 11 2012, after cops shot Darrius Kennedy, 51, on Seventh Avenue.
In addition to using gangsta-rap-like language to blast the cops, the campaign aide also slammed the NAACP in January for siding with drink companies against Bloomberg’s soda ban.
“@NAACP aka corporate d–k riders. Standing with soda makers for a few bucks,” she wrote.
In February, she linked to an article highlighting Bloomberg’s pro-gun-control efforts and wrote, “Hey rest of #America, welcome to Bloomberg using his #money to mess up your sh-t.”
Considering most of Comrade Mayors' voters hate cops, that won't bother them, but 'dick riders' i.e. 'homosexuals' as an insult to the NAAPCP? That ought to be a problem.
Except she 'apologized'(of course).
But she's a good socialist and ass-kisser to de Blasio, so she'll be in that office as long as possible.
Speaking of nutcases in office, I give you Mayor Danny Jones of Charleston, WV:
near-hysterical member of MAIG and hoplophobe. He's easy to spot at the start: he's the one with the "I'm going to explode" look and frozen body.
Thanks to Sean for finding this
This is from yesterday:
Late yesterday afternoon, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Darrell Issa and Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley sent a letter to ATF Chief B. Todd Jones asking why major players in Operation Fast and Furious are still working at the agency, especially considering Jones said they were no longer employed. Although many agents and supervisors involved in the deadly operation have retired or resigned since 2010 when Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed with a gun trafficked to Mexican cartels during the program, not a single person has been fired.
And if Jones and Holder and Obama have their way, nobody will; because they WANTED all the deaths to happen, so they could use them for political purposes, therefore those corrupt bastards are to be protected(also so they don't talk; can you imagine what would happen if they did?) Only some ATF agents who actually care about the law and truth let what they were doing out.

You see ranchers ambling through Walmart with .45 caliber 1911s on their hips
in glorious Open Carry and nobody even bats an eyelash. In
Minnesota, someone would dive under the Size 4XL Clearance Rack and call
SWAT. In Arizona, you say “Good morning,” and the cowboy tips his
Stetson and says, “Ma’am.”
One more reason to dump Common Core
Fine shooting, sir!
A British sniper in Afghanistan killed six insurgents with a single bullet after hitting the trigger switch of a suicide bomber whose device then exploded, The Telegraph has learnt.
The 20-year-old marksman, a Lance Corporal in the Coldstream Guards, hit his target from 930 yards (850 metres) away, killing the suicide bomber and five others around him caught in the blast.
One more reason to dump Common Core

Sheriff's Office puts on their ninja suits and raid the wrong place;
continue searching- with the owner handcuffed on the floor- AFTER they know it.
Damaged property.
Then, to make this crap even better,
Earlier this month, Sheriff Dane Howard agreed to have his command staff begin complying with state law.
Damaged property.
Then, to make this crap even better,
Huron County Common Pleas Court
Judge Timothy Cardwell issued a secret gag order March 21 to seal the
search warrant. The gag order is also secret, Cardwell’s court clerk
said after the Register asked for a copy of the order.
And the criminal complaint that was filed with the Huron County Sheriff’s Office also is secret.
The Register learned the search
warrant was gagged after Huron County Sheriff’s Capt. Ted Patrick failed
to deliver on assurances he made Thursday, when he said he would follow
up on the Register’s requests for the initial complaints that led to
the search warrant.
Because nothing says 'Law Enforcement Professionals' like getting a judge help you try to cover-up and hide your screwups.
Note this:
Patrick, who for the past three
years has routinely failed to follow the public records requirements of
the Ohio Revised Code, was also unavailable.
Yeah, nothing gives you confidence in the sheriff and his staff like knowingly breaking the law for years. And it being a big event when he tells the staff to START following the law.
Reason you're not Officer Friendly anymore #372: incompetence, arrogance, criminal acts and enlisting a corrupt judge to try to hide it all.
Because it's always good to have more data
Also because I'm tired. And had a drink. And it just seems like a good idea.

Officer Jerry Bledsoe, you worked for your fame,
so why aren't you enjoying it?
To express his opinion that Officer Bledsoe was using his position to harass him for exercising his Second Amendment rights, Klaffer posted recordings of the May 1 encounter on YouTube and Facebook. And, on Instagram, he posted a picture of Bledsoe alongside a photo of Saddam Hussein, with the caption “Striking Resemblance.”
Officer Bledsoe retaliated by obtaining a court order that prevented Mr. Klaffer from posting videos, pictures, and text data criticizing Officer Bledsoe on the Internet. “A government order prohibiting criticism of government is the worst kind of censorship,” explains Tony Rothert, legal director of the ACLU of Missouri.
Officer Bledsoe, meet the Streisand Effect; I hope you enjoy it, you bastard.
And Judge Scott T. Horman? You should have that black robe taken from you, as you obviously have no understanding of nor respect for the Constitution. Jackass.
Apparently the offense against free speech was so nasty the ACLU was willing to dirty its hands by working with a gun owner; amazing. Or it's possible the MO branch isn't full of gun bigots and statists. Either way, they did good work here.

Tab clearing
Enviroweenies and Obama want to do something about cow farts and belches. No, I'm not kidding.
Who would you listen to? Couple of leftists with few employees, or companies with LOTS of employees?
Ball player named Bryant actually has an opinion and speaks about it; according to the tolerant, he should shut up about it as black people aren't supposed to do that.
Oh, THAT election fraud.
Calypso Louie blames Jews again. Various black community 'leaders' and Democrats approve.
Asshole at Gawker wants climate-change 'deniers' arrested. For real.
Oh, and THAT election fraud(which was supposed to be almost nonexistent).
Mike Malloy threatens murder, thinks SYG law will protect him. 'Farging dirtbag' doesn't even begin to cover it.
For some reason a bunch of racists and bigots didn't want a reporter at the meeting.

That metallic 'clack' you just heard and felt?
It was every rifle in Finland being function-checked.
One of Russian President Vladimir Putin's closest ex-advisers has claimed that the ex-KGB agent ultimately wants to reclaim Finland for Russia.
Andrej Illiaronov, Putin's economic adviser between 2000 and 2005 and now senior member of the Cato Institute think tank, said that "parts of Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic States and Finland are states where Putin claims to have ownership."
...Illiaronov admits that Finland is not Putin's primary concern at present but, if not stopped in other areas of Eastern Europe, the issue will one day arise. Russian troops are currently massing on the eastern border of Ukraine, following Russia's recent annexation of Crimea.
How many descendents has Simo Häyhä?
And are the Russians stupid enough to want to find out?

It appears Gov. Howler has problems
With Democrats as well as Republicans. And he's trying to buy off 'moderate' gun owners. Without the press being invited; wonder why not...
What possible reason is there not to have the media invited? The head of a state agency is looking for public input on the Governor’s budget. Isn’t this newsworthy?
Since Howler is a Democrat, the chance of most media saying anything about being banned OR about the problems: just about zero.
And this is really bad: 11 districts with no representative because Cuomo is a coward.
...Cuomo hasn’t given any real explanation for not calling special elections … He probably doesn’t want 11 different campaigns that may include criticism of his policies and programs; or controversial actions such as the SAFE Act; or controversial statements such as those regarding “extreme conservatives.” …”
Why we laugh at people screaming 'Faux News!' while slobbering over CNN:
CNN says they're not covering the Gunrunner Yee story because it's 'local politics'. And they don't bother with such.
Unless it's a Republican or he says something non-PC, then it's Game On!
Speaking of Californicated,
A local couple called 10News concerned after they received an envelope from the state's Obamacare website, Covered California. Inside was a letter discussing voter registration and a registration card pre-marked with an "x" in the box next to Democratic Party.
No corruption there, no....
Dear Mr. Weinstein:
You may have heard of this thing called the 1st Amendment; ring a bell?
No? You still want to imprison people for disagreeing with AGW?
I'm curious; are you personally going to show up with handcuffs to arrest people, or do you want to subvert officers of the state to trash the Constitution and jail people for not going along with the Preferred Narrative™? Assuming you actually believe this stuff you're spouting, you should be willing to do it yourself.
Come try.
Sincerely, etc.

“… A representative from the State Police is expected to accompany Martens to address any SAFE Act-related questions. ”It’s always a hot button issue when we’re talking to folks,” said Christian Ballantyne, a special assistant at the DEC who helped contacted sportsmen about attending Friday’s get-together …”This is why they don’t want the press around. They are guaranteed negative feedback because of SAFE and don’t want the media to cover it.
