That clown who 'can talk to men' and his socialist party are trying again

to piss off an awful lot of men.  And women.  More "We need to ban all the things we don't want you to have!"

Screw 'em, one and all.

And, for some morning stuff before I start circling again,

Every one of these should be held up to ridicule.  And if their 'profession' had any real standards, fired.  Until such starts happening, they'll never stop this crap, and never regain any trust.

I guess more of that 'settled' science; they've found evidence that T-Rex had scales, not feathers, and now that they moved faster than a lot of people thought.

I've seen jokes about 'the war between Emu and Man', didn't know it had actually happened.
At least they aren't as nasty as cassowary, which can be downright nasty.*

They ought to ALL be part of this caucus, and if the Democrats actually gave a damn about this country, so should they.

And now I must be off.

*Which is where the idea of turning a flock of them loose in the Aussie Parliament and locking the doors got started

There is just not enough time, here's some random things

The Capitol Police were not behaving well that day.  And this makes you wonder just how much other video evidence has gone away on the tender ministrations of the J6 Committee.
Most of the left doesn't care, but let said cops arrest leftist 'protesters' who invade the buildings and they'll lose their damn minds.

One more reason for the Pres. to bring the hammer down on ATF.

Yes, Britain's knife laws are just as useless as gun laws.

Now, actually jailing people who commit crimes with knives would make a difference, but that would mean arresting people who, very often, are protected species, and they have problems doing that.

I would damn well hope so

And last, another 'you don't hate the media ENOUGH',
If you hadn't heard about this crap, here's some stuff.

One more reason for the Pres. to bring the hammer down on ATF

A mix of things to report on

Two bills in Congress, one telling the ATF to knock the BS off, and another saying "Screw this, stop trying to make new rules before you leave office."

The second would be nice, but the chance of Dettelbach & Co. not helping screw things, well, not good.  The bill to get rid of ATF also includes
In addition to getting rid of the ATF, the press release says Rep. Burlison is preparing legislation to repeal the 1934 National Firearms Act, or NFA, which he said, “unjustly taxes, registers, and restricts American gun owners.”
True, every word.

Now, chances of?  Not good on getting rid of the agency, not enough of a majority and too many of what there is being too squishy.  Getting rid of the NFA, the leftists will scream bloody murder, but there is, I think, a chance of that.  Or at least getting things from it to the level of, say, a 4473 to buy a suppressor, some things like that.  We'll see.

Over in (formerly Great)Britain, no wonder the Labour side doesn't want a real investigation into child rape, it just might cause too many problems for their members.
Note that it says 'arrested following a sting operation by citizen pedophile hunters', which might have delighted some but otherwise probably pissed off the cops that they had to do something.

Also along the line, long piece about one of the big "He cleaned it up!" guys.  Slight problem:
Afzal’s role is clear: the ‘star’ NW Chief Prosecutor runs cover for the ‘it’s not just Muslims’ sleight-of-hand (assisted, note, by Vaz himself who obscures the matter by solely referring to ‘race’ and not religion).
Good piece on some of the maneuvers covering for some of the evildoing.

Some things before I go outside to take care of a couple of things

Of course the socialists want to give more money to the UN, especially to an agency that will harm Jews for them.

Yes, Biden is still a screaming asshole lying hoplophobe.

Being vaccinated against Covid sharply increased the risk heart attack patients would die or suffer heart failure after heart attacks, a major new peer-reviewed study in leading journal Vaccine shows. Alex Berenson has written about the study on his Substack, Unreported Truths.

Speaking of the NIH, more on how Fauci helps screw the world.

Oh, holy shit...

The owners of NoHo Diagnostic Center are suing the LAPD, the city of Los Angeles and multiple police officers, alleging they violated the business owners’ constitutional rights and demanding an unspecified amount in damages. Officers allegedly raided the diagnostic center, located in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles, thinking it was a front for an illegal cannabis cultivation facility, pointing to higher-than-usual energy use and the “distinct odor” of cannabis plants, according to the lawsuit.

Officers raided the facility on Oct. 18, 2023, and detained the lone female employee while they searched the business, the lawsuit said. However, they didn’t find a single cannabis plant and only saw a typical medical facility with rooms used for conducting x-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRIs, the owners said.
...

At one point, an officer walked into an MRI room, past a sign warning that metal was prohibited inside, with his rifle “dangling… in his right hand, with an unsecured strap,” the lawsuit said. The MRI machine’s magnetic force then allegedly sucked his rifle across the room, pinning it against the machine. MRI machines are tube-shaped scanners that use incredibly strong magnetic fields to create images of the brain, bones, joints and other internal organs.

An officer then allegedly pulled a sealed emergency release button that shut the MRI machine down, deactivating it, evaporating thousands of liters of helium gas and damaging the machine in the process. The officer then grabbed his rifle and left the room, leaving behind a magazine filled with bullets on the office floor, according to the lawsuit.
I am informed that, besides any damage done by the rifle impacting the machine, dumping the helium that way can cause very expensive and permanent damage.  I'd hope at least some of it comes out of the pockets of these idiot Drug Warriors.
'Higher than usual energy use'...

I cannot disagree

Let’s review: The president of a PUBLIC UNIVERSITY, an individual in charge of an institution of higher learning, THREATENED an individual for exercising her constitutional and natural right to speech, after he cited the EXACT SAME right as his reason for granting permission to anti-semitic protesters (who’s “from the river to the sea” call advocates for the elimination of a nation-state and its people, btw). In addition, the president never explicitly said what exactly was the reason behind the planned protest except to note that October 7, 2024 was the one year anniversary of October 7, 2023.

Pop quiz time: University of Maryland president Daryll J. Pines is:
A. Stupid
B. Intellectually challenged
C. Anti-Semitic
D. Stupidly evil
E. All of the above

I'd have to go with E

Civil rights victory,

also a big slap at "We don't have to go through Congress to make law":
Today another federal court rejected President Joe Biden’s war on guns, ruling against his effort to require 3 million to 7 million owners of AR-style pistols to register and pay a $200 tax on their firearms or face prison.

In the latest blow to liberal gun control politicians and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the St. Louis-based 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the government’s plan, claiming it was likely to get tossed by the Supreme Court.

For now, the millions of users of guns equipped with “pistol braces” can keep them without fear of being fined or jailed.
...
The court said the ATF rule was poorly written and vague and gave the agency too much leeway to go after owners of the popular firearms.

“The final rule, as a whole, is arbitrary and capricious because it allows the ATF to arrive at whatever conclusion it wishes without ‘adequately explain[ing] the standard on which its decision is based,’” said the court.

“This is much like shooting the side of a barn, drawing the target around the bullet holes, and then proclaiming, ‘Bullseye!”’ added a footnote in the decision that sent the case back to the District Court.

The ATF ruling was also rapped for putting the burden on gun owners to prove why their guns would be allowed. The court said that was wrong and it is up to ATF to better provide guidelines. “The ATF’s burden-inverting argument makes as much sense as shouldering a rifle by the barrel,” mocked the court.

Which also tells Biden, Harris & Co.- again- that they can't just do whatever they want.

The new head of the USSS was involved in denying more protection personnel to Trump,

AND since he was the head of that section all the effups are ultimately on his head, and now he's investigating himself.

And you're insulting if you have a problem with that.

This is so effed-up that even if we could trust the bastards- I include the EffingBI- to run a fair investigation, it looks like it'd take cleaning the entire command levels out to even begin to fix the agency.

Wednesday, July 31, 2024

A USSS sniper writes a letter saying some nasty truths about the Service,

and you'll love what the Acting Director did with it:
"Who wants to be a part of a USSS CS team that failed? That's the public perception I'm now faced with," he wrote.

The recalcitrant acting Secret Service chief told Senator Blackburn that the letter "hurt him" very much.

"I'm hurt by that email, but not in the way you think I'm saying. I'm hurt because my people are hurting right now. We need them...."

Blackburn asked, "Then when did somebody delete the email" from the agency servers so they wouldn't be discoverable?

He said he'd have to get back to her.

Right,  He'll get right back.  Sometime after hell freezes over.

Oh, he also doesn't want to name any of the people in supervisory roles over this cluster because "It wouldn't be fair."  Also, suspected, is that if he names someone they might actually face punishment, and they can't have that.

The Acting Director: just as corrupted as his predecessor, and just as big an asshole as the EffingBI director.  And chances are neither of them will face any real punishment for anything they've done.

"Why don't you trust the experts?"

Oh, I don't know, maybe things like this:
On 25 March 2020, our Crisis Team resolved to include in their dashboard and weekly reports the “epidemiological curve” illustrating new Covid infections according to “reporting date and onset of illness.” Somewhat nervously, they added that “You can see that the curve is slowly levelling off, but we should avoid drawing attention to this in our external communications, to encourage compliance with measures.” The German lockdowns were imposed as the first wave was already slowing down, and our public health authorities knew this.

On 29 July 2020, the RKI came to discuss a draft paper written by our virological-prophet-in-chief Christian Drosten, which provided “Recommendations for the autumn.” The article, they note, is “confidential,” especially because Drosten “decided in the meantime not to publish it.” This was because “his paper considered untargeted testing not to be useful, and this contradicts government policy.” Even a child could have seen that our mass testing regime was entirely pointless and provided useless data, and the scientists who were the public face of it knew this too. They didn’t say anything.

Oh yes, there's more.  Lots of proof the German 'experts' were just as full of crap as the ones here, and in a number of other countries.

And, same as here, they've thrown away trust built over decades.

Another civil rights victory, another slap

on bureaucrats who want to make law.
On Thursday, a federal judge in Texas overturned the administration’s ban on forced reset triggers, which automatically return to their starting position after being pulled.

District Judge Reed O’Connor, who has been front and center in recent decisions to rein in the rogue agency, ruled in the case National Association for Gun Rights v. Garland that ATF overstepped their bounds in classifying guns using forced reseat triggers as “machine guns” under the Gun Control Act of 1968.

“Having considered the above-referenced filings and applicable law, the Court concludes that Defendants engaged in unlawful agency action taken in excess of their authority,” Judge O’Connor wrote in the decision.

Speaking of "This does not make you feel good",

the SS mess just keeps getting further into "Oh, hell" territory
If they did record and lost or destroyed them accidentally, further incompetence; if they didn't, why the hell not?  And if they did and deliberately destroyed them, that has to be counted as evidence of guilt.

Of what is to be determined.

You just thought you heard screaming before

Donald Trump received a major legal victory Monday morning when U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed the Biden administration’s classified documents case against him.

Cannon granted former President Trump's motion to dismiss the indictment against him, citing the unlawful appointment and funding of Special Counsel Jack Smith. The judge ruled that Smith's appointment violated the Appointments Clause of the U.S. Constitution, leading to the dismissal of the superseding indictment. Additionally, the court found that Smith's use of a permanent, indefinite appropriation violated the Appropriations Clause, though it did not address the remedy for this violation.

Oh yes, the screaming is here.  And Occasional-Cortex will make another "I want this judge removed!" filing.

Of course, this part will either be dismissed or ignored by the above.
In April, Cannon unsealed a trove of new documents in the case, revealing that an FBI agent had testified that the General Services Administration (GSA) was in possession of Trump's boxes in Virginia before ordering Trump's team to retrieve them. These same boxes, which the GSA had held and then ordered Trump’s team to retrieve, ended up being the ones containing classified markings. This raised questions about whether the Biden administration had set up Trump.

In May, Smith’s team admitted to misleading Cannon and tampering with the evidence used to support his case against Trump.

Bold mine.
For which the bastard ought to be fired from the Do'J' and disbarred, personal opinion.  But Garland will take care of him.

As usual there's a LOT of crap flying around in the guise of 'news',

we'll know more as it sorts out.  Of course, we'll have to consider that the feds- and much of the news- may not tell us much, especially if it doesn't fit the Preferred Narrative.

One thing's for sure: from what I've read the Trump security people have been asking for a larger force for some time, and were turned down by the Secret Service bigshots, just ran across this
It seems heads need to roll, and not just the USSS Director's.
Added: I'd forgotten, the Director of DHS oversees the USSS.  And that's our favorite "The border is secure!" asshole Mayorkas.  Probable more political bullshit?  Most likely.

And, as Insty noted, the administration denied USSS protection to Kennedy, I wonder if they'll change their minds about that?

Looks like Sotomayor gave a gift she may not have realized she was giving

From her Carville v. Garland dissent:
"...He did so by affixing bump stocks to commonly available, semiautomatic rifles. ...

The dissent gives us “in common use” for semiautomatic rifles and implicitly says that AR-15s are not M-16s"
And if they're in common use, you can't ban them because they scare you or you don't like them.

This has much of the left damn near crapping themselves.

In today's dose of "How dare you!",

our AG says "You're damaging our democracy when you criticize my agency, let alone try to do anything about us!"
https://www.dailywire.com/news/merrick-garland-pens-op-ed-declaring-criticism-of-his-doj-dangerous

Ignoring the usual Democrat 'our democracy!' stuff, let's see...
"Judicial Watch announced today it received 54 pages of records from the Department of Justice in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit which show the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Office of Congressional Affairs (OCA) provided a Democrat staffer with information on FBI whistleblowers who detailed the bureau’s targeting of political opponents and retaliation for their testifying at a May 18, 2023, hearing of the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.

A May 23, 2023, email from Damon Marx, senior counsel in the office of New York Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman, shows that the FBI provided documents apparently pertaining to the whistleblowers that were “very helpful” to Goldman."
No, nothing political about that, not at all.
https://www.judicialwatch.org/information-on-whistleblowers/?

Then we have
"The memos show that agents for the FBI’s Security Division asked at least three witnesses in spring 2022 whether the employee, whose name and job title was redacted from the memos, had been known to “vocalize support for President Trump” or “vocalize objections to Covid-19 vaccination.” Agents ascertained from at least one witness that the worker, in fact, had declined to get the coronavirus inoculation.

The latter questions about the vaccine were asked in spring 2022, a few months after the U.S. Supreme Court had struck down vaccine mandates in corporate workplaces and a separate federal court had issued an injunction on federal employee vaccine mandates.

The agents also asked witnesses whether the FBI worker had “attended the Richmond Lobby Day event” in January 2021, a rally for supporters of the Second Amendment in Virginia. The agents’ notes referred to the colleague they were vetting as a “gun nut” but who in engaged in “no promotion of violence.”
https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2024/06/11/fbi-tried-to-unmask-employee-as-trump-supporter-n4929784

Hey, Garland, know what would help?  If you weren't so politicized while you're yelling about being called a politicized agency.

Speaking of the oozing sore on humanity's ass known as Fauci,

He and a bunch of other people have so much to answer for...
THE Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) monitored 2,000 pregnant women for adverse reactions post covid vaccination rollout, but have refused a Freedom of Information request to release the data. They admitted last April that they had it but cited the exemption that they planned to issue a report. They have still provided no publication date for the information recorded during the first six months of 2021.

Although birth rates had dropped before the covid pandemic and before covid vaccination, there is evidence that the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein can damage the ovaries and testes but made no statistical difference to the birthrate. It was only nine months after vaccinations were offered to pregnant women that a decline began to show.
(me: No SHIT?)
...
Government began pushing experimental covid vaccines to pregnant women before any of the jab manufacturers had completed reproduction toxicology reports or started trials in pregnant women. Thousands of women could be infertile thanks to these injections, while thousands have reported that they suffered miscarriages and stillbirths because of them.
Yes, some of this is hearsay; when government agencies are making excuses to NOT release information, can you say 'suspicious'?

Read it all, I'd suggest
https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/sinister-silence-over-vaccine-damage-in-pregnancy/

Have I mentioned how much I despise Fauci?

I wonder what it would take to make Fauci lose his ideological bullshit?  Maybe losing that sweet pension for criminal acts like (at the least) perjury, multiple counts?

Corrupt, lying bastards at the NIH, Update

Fauci was the lead, and I wonder how much Collins was involved in this?
"New data from the National Institutes of Health reveals the agency and its scientists collected $710 million in royalties during the pandemic, from late 2021 through 2023. These are payments made by private companies, like pharmaceuticals, to license medical innovations from government scientists.

Almost all that cash — $690 million — went to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), the subagency led by Dr. Anthony Fauci, and 260 of its scientists.

Information about this vast private royalty complex is tightly held by NIH. My organization, OpenTheBooks.com, was forced to sue to uncover the royalties paid from September 2009 to October 2021, which amounted to $325 million over 56,000 transactions.
...
Payments skyrocketed during the pandemic era: those years saw more than double the amount of cash flow to NIH from the private sector, compared to the prior twelve combined. All told, it’s $1.036 billion.

It’s unclear if any of the Covid vaccine royalties from Pfizer and Moderna, the latter of which settled with NIH by agreeing to pay $400 million, is even included in these new numbers. NIH isn’t saying."

Fauci needs that "I am the Science" attitude folded to eight corners and shoved up his ass.  'Disgusting' doesn't even begin to cover this.

https://nypost.com/2024/06/02/opinion/nih-scientists-made-710m-in-royalties-from-drug-makers-a-fact-they-tried-to-hide/

Update: it seems that quoting from news articles involving unpleasant activities by the NIH makes me, still, a conspiracy nut.  At least according to this Anonymous.  At least he's consisten.
