unless there's a way now to hold some people's feet to the fire, you're not going to get them either.
It would be truly glorious to have some of the ATF brass and politicians like Holder put under oath, with it being specifically noted "We do know some things, and if we catch you lying there will be criminal charges."

Fast & Furious documents to be made available;
about damned time.
And a bunch of these media weenies are still either ignorant(and it would have to be deliberate) of what happened, or still trying to cover for the BATFEIEIO and Holder/Obama:
In an effort to build bigger cases against major gun traffickers who were selling arms to Mexican cartels, U.S. law enforcement officials elected not to prosecute lower-level offenders transporting more than 2,000 illegal guns.
The operation and its flaws became public after two of those firearms were found in Arizona at the scene of a fatal shooting of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.
So much bullshit in only two lines.

A: if this is a surprise to anyone, you weren't paying attention
to all the crap uncovered a few years back.
In the latest explosive twist to the Obama administration’s deadly “Fast and Furious” gun-running scandal, one of the key whistleblowers has now identified the FBI as a crucial player in the infamous 2010 murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
People were trying to get this paid attention to years back; most of our Professional Media did their best to ignore it, and when they couldn't they dismissed it as a 'crime-fighting tactic that went bad'. Because they're Democrat operatives with bylines, and they liked the idea of trying to destroy the 2nd Amendment, no matter how many eggs had to be broken.
B: Republican lawmakers have long been sounding off about Fast and Furious SOME have; the rest are a bunch of ball-less, useless asshats. If they actually gave a damn, and HAD any balls, this could've been sorted out in the past couple of years. Y'know, when the Stupid Party held both houses of Congress?

Whyever would the prosecutors NOT want jurors to hear about Fast & Furious?
I mean, what's a pile of dead bodies, and violating national borders, and arming cartels, in the name of pushing for gun control?
This crap- both the gunrunning itself and the coverups and protecting the idiots behind it- is a big reason for a lot of the "Trust you bastards? Why would I do that?" attitude toward the .gov nowadays.
Also behind the "Trust the media? That would be stupid." attitudes.

Nothing we didn't already know: Holder, Obama and ATF lied their asses off
and obstructed justice.
“The [Justice] Department’s belated admission that those 64,000 pages were not privileged, puts the gold seal of authenticity on the House's bipartisan vote to hold the attorney general in contempt,” testified Senator Chuck Grassley at a hearing of the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday.
According to the committee’s report, the evidence of the federal government’s knowledge of the botched program was damning. “Emails contained in the House Oversight Committee’s report shows top officials knew the ATF sent guns to Mexico even before Terry’s death,” LaJeunesse explain. There was even correspondence between high-ranking officials blowing off the danger they put people in. As was mentioned in the report:

Gunwalker: the gift
that keeps on giving.
That the people who submitted false documents, and lied to Congress, suffered no penalty tells you all you need to know about Holder and Obama.

Reason #48 to get rid of the EPA:
the corruption and secrecy.
Two committees consisting entirely of EPA officials meet behind closed doors twice annually to decide how the agency spends those funds on highly polluted – and often dangerous – Superfund sites. All reports to and from the groups, as well as the minutes of their meetings and all other details, are kept behind closed doors.
“The National Risk-Based Priority Panel and the Superfund Special Accounts Senior Management Committee engage in pre-decisional deliberations which are internal to the agency and not open to the public,” an EPA spokeswoman who requested anonymity told The DCNF.
Damn. Just the description is painful.
Yes, Gunwalker(and all the OTHER operations that don't get talked about) are still paying dividends. If you consider piles of bodies a dividend.
The deadly-but-forgotten government gun-running scandal known as “Fast and Furious” has lain dormant for years, thanks to White House stonewalling and media compliance. But newly uncovered e-mails have reopened the case, exposing the anatomy of a coverup by an administration that promised to be the most transparent in history.
And nobody is surprised. And Democrats will still call it a 'fake controversy and scandal.' And the bodies will continue to pile up. And AG Lynch(Holder II) won't do a damn thing about it.
Of course, she's busy dealing with her crooked lawyers,
U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen denounced their conduct as "unseemly and unprofessional." Their lies, the judge noted, conned the 26 plaintiff states that were suing to stop the executive action, into "foregoing a request for a temporary restraining order."
Judge Hanen witheringly noted that he did not have the power to disbar the lowlife lawyers, and it is an astounding rebuke that he would mention that possibility. But he did "revoke the pro hac vice status of out-of-state lawyers who act unethically in court," meaning that the attorneys in question will no longer have privileges to practice law before courts in the state of Texas.
...
Only a month ago, an appellate court judge in the Sixth Circuit similarly excoriated Justice Department attorneys for unethically dragging out the discovery process in another lawsuit, in which they were defending the Internal Revenue Service. In that case, the judge criticized the lawyers' "studied obstruction," and repeated use of transparently bogus arguments to drag their feet in the lower courts.
Judge Raymond Ketheledge wrote pointedly that "lawyers in the Department of Justice have a long and storied tradition of defending the nation's interests and enforcing its laws ... in a manner worthy of the Department's name. The conduct of the IRS's attorneys in the district court falls outside that tradition."
who she inherited from Holder & Obama. Anybody believe she'll actually try to clean this up?
Which brings me back to two questions that are very damned serious:
Why should we trust any of these people about ANYTHING?
and
If they don't have to obey the law, why should we?
And if the morons in Sodom on the Potomac, and the 'elites' in major cities don't think this is a real problem, they're in for a very nasty surprise.

"Hey, they used bombs in this attack, but
let's talk about easy access to guns!" Because bombs don't fit the preferred end of more laws about firearms. And even then the dumbass slips and lets it out that it's illegal 'easy' access to guns:
“ You know, why is it known that it’s so easy to access guns in Belgium than other of the major states in Europe, it’s something that everybody knows here, that there is a black market, that there is an ease of getting guns here. As compared to many other parts of Europe.”
They really do have one-track minds.
Google and the construction company both better stand up and make this right, or it's going to get a LOT more expensive. And since both effed-up, they're both liable far as I can see.
Never forget: ATF wasn't the only agency involved in this crap, and
NOBODY from ATF or any other agency was actually punished for this*:
ICE had the surviving agent’s back.. if by “had” you mean “knifed.” Both the director at the time, John T. Morton, and the director today, Sarah SaldaƱa, went out of their way to back up their fellow bureaucrats, who armed Zapata’s murderers… and to screw over Avila and his family, and the survivors of the martyr Jaime Zapata.
And then, there’s the ATF’s share of the blame. In the video, whistleblowing ATF agent John Dodson doesn’t sugar coat it: “We are,” he sadly admits, “the very people that killed Brian Terry.” And, it turns out, Jaime Zapata.
*except the whistleblowers, they got screwed
Anymore, someone starts the "Hate Crime!" call, wait for evidence; the chances of it being bullshit are high.

Something else not to forget about Fast & Furious:
Hundreds of people, including elected officials, law enforcement officers, and even children have been murdered with guns smuggled over the border in Fast and Furious, one of up to ten gun-walking operations being carried out in border states from California to Florida, supplying 20,000 guns to narco-terrorists at precisely the same time that President Barack Obama, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were pushing the infamous 90-Percent Lie in an effort to manufacture an excuse to ban certain firearms.
And NOBODY responsible has been punished. But we can trust the .gov to police itself, sure.
There was a bill to reform the asset-forfeiture mess(I still think 'Theft Under Color Of Law' is the proper name for it), and Sen. Anthony Sykes refused to let it be heard in the Judiciary Committee; now we know why:
Capitol insiders told Red Dirt Report Sykes refused to hear the civil asset forfeiture bill because he wants to befriend law enforcement officials and collect their support for a run at the state Attorney General’s position in 2018.
Gee, isn't that wonderful? "Screw people being screwed out of their property, I want to be Attorney General, and the cops using this can help me!"
So he dodges other legislators, and dodges reporters, and tries to hide himself and what he's doing; just the kind of clown we need as a AG, right?
Anybody surprised the State Department would try to protect their fellow diplomats from being embarrassed by people finding out the crap they're doing?

To say "...Government Could Make Same Mistake Again..."
implies that Fast & Furious wasn't doing exactly what they wanted. Until they got caught.
You know what would've actually done some good here? The people in charge of Gunwalker, not just in ATF but in the FBI and USM and DEA, going to jail for their lies under oath and other lawbreaking. Fat chance of that.
Some good stuff here, except for the 'don't have a round in the chamber' stuff.

And the end result is
it goes back to a previous court so they can try to decide what another judge actually meant...
A federal appeals court on Friday overturned a lower court ruling that kept a lid on a handful of documents related to a lawsuit from Congress over the Obama administration’s botched “Fast and Furious” operation.
More of that non-existent vote fraud we're not supposed to worry about.

Hey, he only murdered American troops, so what's the big deal?
Seems to be Obamas' attitude.
He wants the Iranians to have nukes, and lots of money to pay terrorists with, so why would he be bothered about handing freedom to act and lots of money to this guy?
Due Process isn't important for men. Accusation must equal guilt. Or else you're 'victim blaming'.
I have an answer: get rid of these campus kangaroo courts, hand it all over to the police. Including prosecution for making false police reports.
Of course, they don't want to do that; there really IS due process then, evidence required. And they really don't want that.
On the EffingBI trying not to talk about the Gunwalker connection to the Garland terrorist attack:
What this attempt at covering up the provenance of Soofi’s weapon shows is that the Justice Department and associated federal agencies are still engaged in trying to hide facts about Fast and Furious from Congress. They’ve been stonewalling the investigation for more than four years — not out of concern for the safety of Americans (and Mexicans for that matter), but because they fear the political fallout that would ensue once their incompetence was exposed.
'Incompetence' my ass; they don't want their deliberately running guns to the cartels to be exposed any more.
Everyone's pissed(rightly so, I think) at the idea of that Commander being charged for defending his troops. Knowing such would stir people up so much, why would the Navy start that(ignoring the 'We must set an example! and I hate guns anyway!' idiocy that's possible)? Here's a possibility:
And that brings us back to changing the narrative. By suggesting that Lieutenant Commander White may be facing charges, senior government officials have successfully changed the focus of the Chattanooga investigation, at least temporarily. That should make everyone wonder what new revelations are about to drop, in terms of the shooter's travels and affiliations, and security measures in place at the reserve center at the time of the attack.
As we learned in the days followed the shooting, the reserve base was a largely undefended target, putting sailors and Marines at risk. Abdulazeez was able to crash through an unmanned gate at the facility and open fire. To date, DoD has said nothing about why the gate was secured with nothing more than a chain and a padlock, and the response of base security personnel. It was Lieutenant Commander White and that unidentified Marine returned who fire from inside the perimeter and it was the Chattanooga Police Department--in pursuit of the suspect--who finally cornered Abdulazeez and shot him dead. Base security--based on what we have learned so far--was AWOL.
Keep an eye on the Navy's "prosecution" of Randy White in the weeks ahead. It will provide a convenient distraction while far more serious revelations about the attack dribble out. Sad to say, but it won't be the first time the feds have sought a scapegoat in a terrorist strike against the U.S. military. In the aftermath of the Khobar Towers bombing in 1996, much of the attention focused on Air Force Brigadier General Terry Schwailer, the on-scene commander at the time of the attack.
That idea hadn't occurred to me; it should have.
After all, a service that'll screw someone like Lt. Col. Kate Germano why and how they did, is capable of all kinds of things.
Doesn't matter: when the real backlash to the SJBs hits, they'll consider it proof of their virtue. So it's all good!
Hey, it's good when HE does it...
Long time Anti-Gun Advocate State Senator R.C. Soles, 74, shot one of two intruders at his home just outside Tabor City , N.C. about 5 p.m. Sunday, the prosecutor for the politician's home county said.
...
The State Bureau of Investigation and Columbus County Sheriff's Department are investigating the shooting, Gore said. Soles, who was not arrested, declined to discuss the incident Sunday evening.
"I am not in a position to talk to you," Soles said by telephone. "I'm right in the middle of an investigation."
"And I really don't want to be called on my hypocrisy."

And Eric Holders' and ATFs gift just keeps on giving...
One of the terrorists in the Garland attack got his weapon thanks to Fast & Furious.
The FBI so far has refused to release any details, including serial numbers, about the weapons used in Garland by Soofi and Simpson. Senate investigators are now pressing law enforcement agencies for answers, raising the chilling possibility that a gun sold during the botched Fast and Furious operation ended up being used in a terrorist attack against Americans.
Among other things, Johnson is demanding to know whether federal authorities have recovered the gun Soofi bought in 2010, where it was recovered and whether it had been discharged, according to the letter. He also demanded an explanation about why the initial seven-day hold was placed on the 2010 pistol purchase and why it was lifted after 24 hours.
Asked recently for an update on the Garland shooting, FBI Director James B. Comey earlier this month declined to comment. "We're still sorting that out," he said.
And trying to figure out how to give Holder and ATF and everyone else involved in the 'botched' operation some cover.
You know, the important stuff.

Department of 'Justice', EffingBI, BATF... can anyone give me ANY reason
to trust ANY of these agencies? About ANYTHING?
The Department of Justice improperly withheld public documents related to Fast and Furious after the first Freedom of Information (FOI) requests for them several years ago. The agency was recently forced to produce some of the materials to the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, which filed a FOI lawsuit to obtain the information. (To date, the Justice Department still has not complied with FOI law in providing the same public documents to me as a FOI requestor.)
...
Clues as to why President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder kept the public documents secret for so long may be found in one 60-page release examined below. Nearly three years after-the-fact, its news value is diminished. If these documents had been turned over when Congress subpoenaed them or when they were first requested under FOI law, they would have revealed damaging information in the lead-up to President Obama’s re-election in 2012. By exerting executive privilege, the President and Holder kept them hidden until the court challenge forced their release.
The reason for the 60-page grouping of materials isn’t apparent. Documents that long predate Fast and Furious are mixed in with relevant documents. Redactions aren’t justified or explained. Inexplicably, even Congressional testimony that had been publicly presented to Congress was included in documents withheld under President Obama’s sweeping executive privilege.
Maybe we should just make that 'trust ANY federal agency':
Go read. Note just what kind of crap Obama was hiding under 'executive privilege', how much stuff in documents was/is redacted for not reason other than complicating things, and this:

Maybe we should just make that 'trust ANY federal agency':
- There is evidence of widespread knowledge of and participation by several federal agencies in the controversial Fast and Furious gunwalking case that let traffickers put thousands of weapons into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.
- Agencies participating in Fast and Furious included the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement branch (ICE), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Phoenix Police Department.
- A January 2011 “Key Messages: Tasking Points” memo (p. 14) generated by the Public Affairs Division at ATF headquarters in Washington D.C. stated:
Go read. Note just what kind of crap Obama was hiding under 'executive privilege', how much stuff in documents was/is redacted for not reason other than complicating things, and this:
Clues as to why President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder kept the public documents secret for so long may be found in one 60-page release examined below. Nearly three years after-the-fact, its news value is diminished. If these documents had been turned over when Congress subpoenaed them or when they were first requested under FOI law, they would have revealed damaging information in the lead-up to President Obama’s re-election in 2012. By exerting executive privilege, the President and Holder kept them hidden until the court challenge forced their release.
"Most transparent administration EVER!" Right.

Sounds about right
...Kim Jong-Un has just vaporized a Hollywood blockbuster as totally as if
one of his No Dong missiles had taken out the studio. As it is, the fellows with no dong turned out to be the executives of Sony Pictures.
And
In my new book The [Un]documented Mark Steyn... I have an entire section called "Last Laughs" - on banned jokes, canceled comedies, the plays we'll never see, the books we'll never read. On page 363, I quote Stephen Breyer, one of the genius jurists of America's Supreme Court, arguing that maybe free speech didn't extend to upsetting Islam - that provoking Muslims was a classic example of "shouting fire in a crowded theatre". And I commented:
Speaking of, Eric Holder got away with Fast & Furious, and the perjury and false documents and piles of dead bodies, and we're getting more of the slimy bastard.
A rifle found in the abandoned car came from Attorney General Eric Holder’s Fast and Furious program, which put firearms into the black market on the Southern border in a failed attempt to track firearm circulation among Mexican drug cartels. The AK-47 style rifle was purchased in 2009 by Sean Christopher Seward, who pled guilty to trafficking firearms that he bought while the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms was monitoring his activities as part of Fast and Furious.

And I commented:
More importantly, the logic of Breyer's halfwit intervention is to incentivize violence, and undermine law itself. What he seems to be telling the world is that Americans' constitutional rights will bend to intimidation...
It is a basic rule of life that if you reward bad behavior, you get more of it.

So Holder's not only a liar, he's an incompetent. And most of the press
so far in the tank I'm surprised they could pipe in enough air. Not just disgusting, but kind of amazing.
1. Send a letter to the Hill explaining what happened. Put in context the amount of information you get every week, say that you don’t recall reading those bullets or being aware of Fast and Furious at any time before early this year, but in any event, you certainly weren’t aware of the gun walking aspect of it until the news broke earlier this year (at which point you took immediate steps to have the IG investigate, etc.). This needs to happen tomorrow. In fact, it should’ve happened today. The last time your credibility was directly questioned was whether you had disclosed all of your amicus briefs — the story started to break on a Thursday night, and we made people stay up all night compiling information so we could get a response out by 1 pm or so on Friday.
Because telling the truth was never an option.
If I were you, I would want answers from the entire team (Cole, Reich, on down), on why the Department let Issa decide what to do with these memos. The whole point of the review is to find things like this and come up with plans for dealing with them. It should have been obvious that these memos were going to be a huge target, and instead of just handing them over, the Department should have put them out to reporters on its own terms, instead of letting Issa do it. Give them to lssa at the same time you give them to the press with an explanation that takes the air out of the balloon. And if the answer is we owe it to Issa to give him this stuff first — well, that’s obviously ridiculous.
Because following orders from Congress to turn the stuff over, well, are you kidding?
On the incompetence front,
[Attorney Gen. Holder email below said he doesn't usually bother to read briefings sent to him directly by his top advisers, including mentions of Fast and Furious long before he said he'd heard of the case.]
“Sigh. Can I see the 2 reports mentioned below- sure I didn’t read them. I rarely do. The February e-mail shows that was my first real F/F knowledge.”
p. 338
[Holder email addressing, specifically, the briefings sent to him by National Drug Intelligence Center adviser and Criminal Division chief]
“I generally don’t read those.”
So we're supposed to believe that something this major was happening, with multiple agencies involved, with violations of federal law, violation of an international border, and 'I never read that stuff'? Really? If false, they were working on their cover story; if true, he's an incompetent bastard.
Remember the various Democrats almost bragging that they hadn't read the Obamacare bill, "We don't have time for that, are you serious?" crap? Looks like they got their inspiration from the top.

Yes the bread came out well, and the headache's down, so:
From the Pen of Theodore Dalrymple:
Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.

An idea about how that 'Attkisson is out of control! Go yell to her boss!' e-mail came out:
A reader writes with a theory:
Speaking of PC bullshit,
Don’t drink so much. "Stop victim-blaming."
Watch your drink. "Stop victim-blaming."
Walk in well-lit areas at night. "Stop victim-blaming."

A reader writes with a theory:
The reason that this reference to Sharyl Attkisson made it into this document dump is that her name was mis-spelled (Sharryl rather than Sharyl). There are assuredly more emails about this that were searched for and deliberately withheld. They apparently did not search for this particular mis-spelling of her name.Bingo. I think he is right. Someone at DOJ systematically searched for references to Sharyl Attkisson and pulled out all emails where DOJ and White House personnel were talking about her and, as we now know, how to block her Fast and Furious investigation. A single email, which gave away the game, slipped through because her name was mis-spelled.

And now, maybe something can be done with this
Morales said that if U.S. federal officials were involved(in Gunwalker), it would
be a “betrayal” of Mexico while its police and military were fighting a
war against drug cartels. Tens of thousands of Mexicans have been killed
since the "war on drugs" began in 2006. Almost weekly, Mexican
authorities are finding mass graves of those murdered by the cartels.
"Almost immediately after the White House got wind of the Mexican attorney general's words and actions, the Obama administration dispatched its minions to Mexico City and entered into an agreement that Obama would be more forceful in legalizing millions of Mexican illegal aliens so that they would be able to work in America and continue to send home money," said the source, who worked as a federal law enforcement commander and traveled to Mexico as part of a narcotics task force.
"In essence, based on the stories emanating from the Beltway [Washington, D.C.], the case against the Obama White House and his minions was completely dropped by Attorney General Morales. In fact, when the Mexican government discovered an official's brother was killed with a 'Fast and Furious' gun, there were no repercussions for the Obama White House," said Jerry Grosso, a former narcotics detective.
Would it surprise anyone if this is true?

"It's too late to affect the election, so let's finally obey the judge's order
and give them some of the documents, and hope that shuts them up."
Fat chance, dirtbag. More to come, like it or not.
By the way, stop whining about being held in contempt; when you're such a contemptible bastard, you should expect it.
