It's Friday, once again,

and after a busy day it's time to relax and get on with your studies

High-level academics...

A philosophy professor at Siena College says that she left the committee on civil discourse because the thought of working with some conservative students was “making me miserable.”

In an email obtained by Campus Reform, professor Jennifer McErlean strongly condemned the conservative students on her campus, voicing her desire to protest the upcoming “Let Freedom Ring” conference that is slated to feature several prominent political figures including investigative journalist James O’Keefe, lobbyist Roger Stone, and others.
"These students are guilty of BadThink, and I can't stand it!"  Wonder what kind of crap she's been putting her students through?

The Stupid(aka Backstabber) Party strikes again.
Congressional Republicans are jeopardizing the Second Amendment rights of 4.2 million senior citizens. At the same time, they have voted to funnel tens of millions of dollars to gun control organizations and support other actions that Democrats will love.

All of this is wrapped up in the giant $1.3 trillion spending bill that the House of Representatives approved Thursday on a 256-167 vote and sent to the Senate.
We need term limits.  And once we have them, we jumpstart the process by throwing a bunch of these asshats out of high windows.

#NEVERAGAIN is not yours to use to distort reality. It certainly isn’t yours to use to reaccomplish the Nazis’ evil; disarming the undesirables all over again.
Go read the whole thing.

But it's what leftists do.

But now, the left has found even more sympathetic faces for its agenda: kindergarteners. According to The Wall Street Journal, "Schools are grappling with how to address the event with children as young as 5 years old and with finding ways for children who are too little to be told about school shootings to take part." Children in pre-K at Manhattan Country School will sing, "If I Had a Hammer" and "Paz y Libertad." Public schools like PS 321 in Brooklyn allowed children to do activities linked with the protests.

John Calhoun's California

Things the left doesn't know about guns.
Couple of days ago got involved in a thread on Bookface in which someone who wanted to ban 'assault rifles' couldn't define what she wanted to ban.  I pointed out that someone with some practice could inflict the kind of damage used in her 'definition' with a 100-year-old bolt-action rifle, was called a liar, I told her to look up 'Mad Minute', and the response included "I didn't know they had magazines 100 years ago."

Oh, her definition you should love:
'My definition of an assault/ Armalite rifle or a bump stock attachment is a gun that can murder 58 people and injured many, many more in ten minutes with pauses during firing.'

"I’m not carrying [Trump's] water. I’m saying the exact same thing I’ve said for 50 years. And Jeffrey, you ought to know that, you were my student. The fact that it applies to Trump now rather than applying to Bill Clinton is why people like you have turned against me."

Those days you think about

keeping a strap wrench in the kitchen for opening jars...

I'd suggest the use of tar and feathers,

just to set an example.  Especially the asshats with the "Hey, I'm a gun owner too!" defense.
This after the language of a district policy in the student handbook was quietly amended last week following a local uproar in the Lacey community and the threat of a lawsuit by the Association of Rifle and Pistol Clubs of New Jersey, whose lawyer, Daniel Schmutter, was at Monday's board meeting.
Translation: "We wanted to make an example of those redneck kids, but this is too much heat!"

Bastards.

So, stupid or ignorant? It being Trudeau

I'd go with the power of 'and'

Idiot lying control-freak politicians are the same everywhere.

Oh no, you're not attacking their moral character,

you just think they're stupid.  'Dumb shits' was the term you used, I believe.  Along with 'lowest of the low'.
Salcido apologized at a City Council meeting in February, the paper reported, and attempted to clarify that his comments “had nothing to do with their moral character.”

"I don't think it's all a revelation to anybody that those who aren't stellar students usually find the military a better option. ... That's not a criticism of anybody. Anything I said had nothing to do with their moral character," he said, the paper reported.
Let's not forget the attacks on students with the bad taste to disagree with him, either.

And who's teaching YOUR kids or grandkids?  And what are they 'teaching'?

What is it with Democrats going after Jews?

D.C. Council member Trayon White Sr., a Democrat, claimed that the Rothschilds — a European Jewish banking family descended from Mayer Amschel Rothschild — control the World Bank and the federal government during a Feb. 27 gathering of top city officials, The Washington Post reported Tuesday morning.

“There’s this whole concept with the Rothschilds — control the World Bank, as we all know — infusing dollars into major cities,” Mr. White said, according to video footage reviewed by The Post. “They really pretty much control the federal government, and now they have this concept called resilient cities in which they are using their money and influence into local cities.”

No one in the room, including Democratic Mayor Muriel E. Bowser, challenged Mr. White’s remarks. Ms. Bowser later said when reached by The Post that his comments were not acceptable.
'Not acceptable'.  Translation: "I've got no problem with it, but it's causing a stir so it's not acceptable.  Now."

With all the yelling about Mueller possibly being fired,

someone pointed out his record isn't exactly sterling.  Which reminded me of a piece about the anthrax attacks and just how the EffingBI* screwed that case up, and I found it.

Skimming through, I ran across this:
Much of what authorities discovered, they leaked anonymously to journalists. The result was an unrelenting stream of inflammatory innuendo that dominated front pages and television news. Hatfill found himself trapped, the powerless central player in what Connolly describes as “a story about the two most powerful institutions in the United States, the government and the press, ganging up on an innocent man. It’s Kafka.”
...
In their own depositions, both John Ashcroft and Robert Mueller, the FBI director, said they had expressed concern to underlings about news leaks that appeared to single out and smear Hatfill. Both, however, denied any knowledge of who specifically was doing the leaking.
A: Leaking.  Sounds kind of familiar, does it not?
B: "...who SPECIFICALLY was doing the leaking."  My, isn't that interesting wording?

And this is the guy the Democrats are screaming about the integrity of.  Just like they have with McCabe and Comey.

*It's one of the reasons I started calling them that.

History in hardware

Also, water is wet.

A former Obama campaign official is claiming that Facebook knowingly allowed them to mine massive amounts of Facebook data — more than they would’ve allowed someone else to do — because they were supportive of the campaign.

Yes, they're using children.  It's what they do.
I find myself more and more in sympathy with a lady who said "Next one who says 'We should listen to the wisdom of children' gets hit with a club."

So, will the Brit .gov now prosecute her for the 'hate crime' of writing this?

Considering his party hates the 2nd Amendment, an interesting statement:
A New York Democratic congressman is being accused of promoting violence against President Trump after suggesting during a town hall that citizens may have to take up arms against the president if he doesn’t follow the law.

I mean, this is where the Second Amendment comes in quite frankly, because you know, what if the president was to ignore the courts? What would you do? What would we do?” Rep. Tom Suozzi, D-N.Y., said during a March 12 Q&A session with constituents in Huntington, on Long Island.
So the next time a Democrat whines about the outdated 2nd. whack them with a ClueBat with this attached to it.

Meanwhile, where Great Britain used to be(volume 39),

Brave victims today expose a Telford grandfather as the evil paedophile who sold children for sex in a house of horrors.

Police were tipped off about Shahzad “Keith” Khan as far back as 1996 but he was allowed to run his “Rape House” for years.

He regularly picked up one sex slave outside a local police station.

I'm not going to excerpt any more from this, just go read it.

And reflect that of all the people who turned a blind eye to this shit, not one of them will pay any penalty.

So let's add this to all the other failures by the EffingBI, the school,

and the Sheriff's Office:
School counselors and a deputy wanted him institutionalized under Florida’s Baker Act, which would have made him a prohibited person, but that never happened either.
But let's blame the gun.  And the NRA.  And the Stupid Party.  Blame ANYONE except the murderer and the idiots who had dozens of chances to do something, and failed.

Directly connected, from Madame Hoyt: The Left Is Using Your Children

Something really nasty is going on in Austin,

and nobody knows anything except 'Someone is setting bombs'.

From a member of the DC council:
“Man, it just started snowing out of nowhere this morning, man. Y’all better pay attention to this climate control, man, this climate manipulation,” he says. “And D.C. keep talking about, ‘We a resilient city.’ And that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful.”
'It's the JOOOOS!'  Bloody hell.

Few hours after this hit the news, here's the apology:
...I did not intend to be anti-Semitic, and I see I should not have said that after learning from my colleagues.”

White said his “friends” at Jews United for Justice, a group that advocates for progressive causes and endorsed him in 2016, were “helping me to understand the history of comments made against Jews and I am committed to figuring out ways continue to be allies with them and others.”
Translation: "They told me how bad this goes over with lots of people, and I'd better make an apology before I cause more problems for the Cause."

"Women don't like about this!"

Yes, some of them do.  I hope he sues Yale for a large part of their endowment, and the prosecutors are PC-brained idiots who should lose their jobs.

Lots of members aren't as happy about being associated with a racist asshole as the leadership is.  And get this:
Mallory, Perez and Sarsour are backed by Women’s March board member and fashion designer Bob Bland, who tweeted in defense of Mallory that “being held directly accountable for the words of any man is misogynistic.”
Yeah.  Because holding someone to account for SUPPORTING said words is woman-hating.  Because... reasons.   Farging assholes.

Amazon caught deleting reviews of works by conservative/libertarian authors.  Response to questions is basically "Screw you."

Leftist Paradise: out-of-control theft, expensive as hell, and human crap in the streets.

Saturday night, and- it being March- turning chilly and damp

So guess what it's a good evening for?

In the spirit of 'Can't stop the signal',

here's a fixture for finishing 80% lowers that uses a drill to make the initial holes, and finishes the cutting with a router.

And here's a way to make a lower from scratch, bolting it together.

And some stuff on how gun control got started.

Why are Democrats such violent bastards?

U.S. Capitol Police have arrested a male Democratic operative for assaulting a female Interior Department communications official following a House budget hearing Thursday.

Well, the EffingBI actually fired McCabe.  Who's whining "This is all Trump's fault!"  Yeah, right:
McCabe was fired a day after FBI ethics officials recommended his dismissal, reports CBS News justice correspondent Paula Reid, and just before the expected release of an Inspector General's report which is expected to show that he shared information with the media about the agency's investigation into the Clinton Foundation.
And lying under oath.  And a few other things.

Now let's see if they'll do anything about these very special agents, and the judge:
Newly discovered text messages obtained by The Federalist reveal two key federal law enforcement officials conspired to meet with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) judge who presided over the federal case against Michael Flynn. The judge, Rudolph Contreras, was recused from handling the case just days after accepting the guilty plea of President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser who was charged with making false statements to federal investigators.

The text messages about Contreras between controversial Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) lawyer Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, the senior FBI counterintelligence official who was kicked off Robert Mueller’s special counsel team, were deliberately hidden from Congress, multiple congressional investigators told The Federalist. In the messages, Page and Strzok, who are rumored to have been engaged in an illicit romantic affair, discussed Strzok’s personal friendship with Contreras and how to leverage that relationship in ongoing counterintelligence matters.

Humans have always been horny bastards.

"She may be black, but she's a white supremacist!"  Professional Journalism.

Well, this is likely to get interesting.  Short version: guy gets thrown out of a shelter for being drunk and fighting, shows up at a women's shelter and demands entry.  Turned away.  Now suing because "I'm transgender, and they're not allowed to turn me away!"

Friday night and windy as the dickens;

enough to blow you sideways on the highway.  So, for the moment, I'm staying in to upload data.

Meanwhile, where Great Britain used to be,

When seconds count,

some police run away.
Even with bad words, I cannot properly express what I think.*

And the excuses...
Philip said he is angry at the deputy but also feels some sympathy for him. He said he doesn't know what he would have done if he were in Peterson's shoes.

"There's always a bunch of what-if questions, so we never know, but I feel like he would've went inside it wouldn't have been as bad," he said. "I'm sure he feels awful about this."
Who gives a fuck?  This bastard was a VOLUNTEER; he pinned on the badge and took the oath, and when it really counted he ran.  That's all that really  counts.

*Which includes "No wonder that asshole sheriff doesn't want the video out in public."

The level of ignorance and dumbass out there...

In a thread on Bookface, someone's been insisting on 'ban the assault rifles' while not being willing to define exactly what they mean, in the meantime
Violent crime doesn't really count unless it involves a firearm.
'You can use a knife for self-defense instead of a gun, it's quieter and easier to carry'.
'Britain has almost no gun crime!'
'Australia is the future!'
'Target shooting is not a sport and should not be allowed.'
Basically, take every talking point and bullshit argument you've run across and get them from one person.  It's amazing.  And then she finally 'defines' what she's wanting to ban:
"My definition of an assault/ Armalite rifle or a bump stock attachment is a gun that can murder 58 people and injured many, many more in ten minutes with pauses during firing."
You may note that she has a fixation on the AR.  And doesn't/won't understand that, with some practice, you could do what she's talking about with a 100-year-old bolt-action.

Of course, she wants to ban the bolt-action as well.  And everything else.  Because feels and cares.

Also, she thinks Obama only told eight lies during his whole Presidency.  Believes it with a passion.

It's amazing.

I can't really afford it, but

I'm strongly tempted to get a AR lower.  Maybe some parts.  Plan on a build.  Just to piss off the gun-grabbing asshats and the dumbass teenagers they're using as a front.

Maybe a nice pistol build in .300 Blackout...

I did get some bullets cast the other day, some of which are in a pan, lubed and ready to cut out and size.  Which would let me lube the others.  Plan for the future: I need to use up most of the 15-1 in the melter, then put in some general mix and cast a bunch of pistol and some rifle bullets.

In the meantime, it being a nice day, I need to do some stuff outside before- it being March in Oklahoma- the next front comes in and makes it cold/wet/stormy/whatever.

Tab clearing

The swamp protects its own.  Bastard belongs in a cell, like would happen to a average citizen who lied under oath this way.

This was almost President...

And this is the racist nutcase a whole bunch of Democrats suck up to.  And get real upset when you point it out.

I realize the Labour Party is a bunch of socialist asshats, but I thought they had some standards.

But- but the science was settled, I was assured!

"We had no scandals."  Then what all were you hiding, you lying bastards?

"Never let a crisis go to waste, no matter who you have to use."

Socialism, Comrades!

At least we're all hungry together(except for the powerful and party minions, of course)!

Other day a couple of the usual suspects were whining that it's the fault of the US that Venezuela is in the toilet.  Just like they blame us for Cuba being in the toilet.  No socialist can do wrong for these idiots, no matter how many bodies and how much misery pile up.

Speaking of idiots, over in (formerly Great)Britain, free speech is dead.
First, the British Home Office took the incredible step of banning American conservative activist Brittany Pettibone, who was detained along with her partner Martin Sellner at Heathrow Airport. What had Pettibone and Sellner done to merit such treatment? They were slated to deliver a speech on the subject of “threats to free speech in the modern world.
...
But wait, there’s more! Not satisfied with acting like a bunch of spoiled Oxbridge brats determined to “no platform” those nasty foreigners, British authorities then took the step of detaining and banning the Canadian conservative activist Lauren Southern from the country on Sunday, holding her and interrogating her in a detention facility for six hours before sending her to France. Fortunately, I happen to be friends with Southern, and so got a window into the experience from her.
They can't/won't protect British girls from rape gangs, but they can keep people from speaking.  Brits who say something unapproved on bloody Twitter can expect to find the cops knocking at the door.  After all, that won't get the cops called 'racist' or something, so THEM they'll screw over.

Have I ever mentioned how glad I am that some of my ancestors got the hell out of those islands?

Stolen from Mr. Williamson:

Liberal shithead comment of the day:
"The Second Amendment is worthless. We elected the worst despot in history in 2016 and none of you gun wankers did anything to stop it."

Um, wrong. Hillary lost the election.
And every time she starts up again on why, it makes me so glad to know that she isn't and never will be President.

Monday, March 12, 2018

"We would've been called names if we'd take action!"

If you're that chickenshit, you have no business wearing a badge.
The report reveals that authorities in the town of Telford became aware of the scale of the problem in the 1990s, but failed to prevent the continued drugging, beating, and rape of hundreds of girls, some of whom were as young as eleven, until an official investigation was launched roughly a decade later.

The Sunday Mirror spoke with a dozen victims who named more than 70 abusers collectively. One victim explained that the police tried to prevent her from discovering why her abuser was not jailed because they feared she would share her story with the press. Another victim, just 14 years old, detailed the tactics her abusers employed to compel her cooperation.
How many more that there's no official recognition of?

Top. Men.

Georgia police raided a retired Atlanta man's garden last Wednesday after a helicopter crew with the Governor's Task Force for Drug Suppression spotted suspicious-looking plants on the man's property. A heavily-armed K9 unit arrived and discovered that the plants were, in fact, okra bushes.
At least they didn't shoot the dog.
The officers eventually apologized and left, but they took some of the suspicious okra leaves with them for analysis. Georgia state patrol told WSB-TV in Atlanta that "we've not been able to identify it as of yet. But it did have quite a number of characteristics that were similar to a cannabis plant."
Yeah.  It's a plant.

Sunday, March 11, 2018

My contempt for that piece of garbage, and the agency he worked for,

has become even lower.  which I'd thought impossible.
But internal radio dispatches released by the Broward Sheriff’s Office Thursday show Peterson immediately fixated on Building 12 and even radioed that gunfire was happening “inside.”

And, just as school shooter Nikolas Cruz was fleeing the building after killing 17 people, Peterson warned his fellow officers to stay away — even as wounded students and staff lay inside.
...
“Do not approach the 12 or 1300 building, stay at least 500 feet away,” a panicked Peterson shouted as people screamed in the background.
No wonder that dickhead sheriff wants to hide video; he's the man who was in charge of all this.

"Why do you want a gun, anyway?"

To protect ourselves from professors who think mass-murder is a good idea.

Standard bullshit: calls for an atrocity- preferably several- and then, when the heat comes on, insists "It was just a joke!"
Yeah, just like that professor hitting people in the head with a bike lock was just protesting.

'Higher' Education at Evergreen.

"The slur against the sciences, however interpreted, is offensive and disappointing to see given the values we espouse and our shared commitment to equity and interdisciplinarity."
You know the place is screwed.

As a reminder of what's happened before,
“George, During the @EvergreenStCol riots, students of color were chastised as traitors for studying science, science faculty were hunted, and you ordered campus police to stay out of it. Don’t pretend this graffiti is surprising. These are your chickens, home to roost.”
And it's what a bunch of the left wants everywhere.  Because intersectionality beats having bridges that don't fall down.

Saturday night once again

One of the worst parts of being sick is recovery, sometimes; that nasty cough that won't go away, just waits until you're not expecting it and blows up again.  Rather than be out with that, collected some more data for study.

Once more, chickenshit politicians want to play both sides:

"See, we made it possible for some teachers to be armed(but we made it so difficult and expensive that almost none will do it)!"
And it gives asshats like USA Today a chance to whine "Is this enough training?"

I'm going to borrow from Mr. Correia on Bookface:
132 hours of training? Are you friggin’ kidding me?

Police departments don’t require 132 hours of dedicated firearms instruction. It has been a while but I think most POST programs are half that, and include lots of things that no teachers will ever be expected to do. It isn’t their job to follow the use of force pyramid while trying to put handcuffs on a belligerent meth head.

And once they are cops, the number of continual training hours after that will vary wildly by department, but they will be lucky to get 132 total hours of gun training over several years. Some departments, unless they are on the SWAT team they won’t get 132 hours in their career.

Just like the Federal Flight Deck program to arm pilots, they are just trying to bury a program in logistics and costs so that nobody can take advantage of it.

From Borepatch: Stupid and Useless Gun Control

Which is pretty much all they've got.
