This is unpossible, Australia has the GOOD gun laws!
Unveiling a new plan to tackle out-of-control gun violence in Sydney on
Wednesday, NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione said all three
strike forces had been brought together to form Operation Talon.
"There is no single source of gun crime violence...guns have fallen into the hands of organised crime, outlaw motorcycle gangs, mid-level crime groups and petty thieves and the lines are often blurred," Mr Scipione said.

"But if we don't have a SWAT team, or at least a bunch of armed agents,
we won't be some of the cool people!"
Special agents at the IRS equipped with AR-15 military-style rifles? Health and Human Services “Special Office of Inspector General Agents” being trained by the Army’s Special Forces contractors? The Department of Veterans Affairs arming 3,700 employees?
The number of non-Defense Department federal officers authorized to make arrests and carry firearms (200,000) now exceeds the number of U.S. Marines (182,000). In its escalating arms and ammo stockpiling, this federal arms race is unlike anything in history. Over the last 20 years, the number of these federal officers with arrest-and-firearm authority has nearly tripled to over 200,000 today, from 74,500 in 1996.
What exactly is the Obama administration up to?
Hey, us peasants can't be properly controlled by agents with stern expressions, y'know.
This has been turning up. I'd say the message is getting through.
Which has got to be causing serious chafing among the hoplophobes and gun bigots.
One more reason to get rid of the EPA: "Obey the court's order? That's for peasants, WE are the EPA."
If you'll excuse me for a while, I'm going to try to get some mowing and such done before the heat index hits the "Why am I melting into my shoes?" point.

A bit of why every politician pushing the no-fly list as a way to take rights away
should be horsewhipped in the town square.
Rahinah Ibrahim, a Malaysian architect with a doctorate from Stanford, knows from personal experience that they have a compelling point. Ibrahim is the only person since the 9/11 attacks to file a court challenge that ultimately removed her name from the watch lists. It took her almost a decade to prevail in court and even that victory has proved pyrrhic for her. While a federal judge agreed that her inclusion on the no-fly list was groundless, she remains unable to obtain a visa that would allow her to visit the United States even to attend academic conferences. A close look at her case by ProPublica provides dramatic evidence of what was argued this month in Washington: It is indeed remarkably easy to get on the list and nearly impossible to get off.

If I were a Brit,
and I found out about all the "You have to keep us in the EU before we'll let you see what we're up to" crap, I'd be seriously pissed. Including
But this weekend The Sunday Times revealed there is no need for Turkey to join the EU to trigger mass migration.
Yeah, that's just going to thrill everybody.

Under a scheme floated by British diplomats, the UK Government could hand out some 1,500,000 visas as part of a sweetheart deal to thank Turkey for holding back refugees from crossing into Greece.Tomorrow's front page: Leaked UK plan to open doors for 1m Turks pic.twitter.com/tnYDEUfDtP— The Sunday Times (@thesundaytimes) June 11, 2016

I really wish Arizona had gone ahead with the recall on McCain,
9/11 and all, because that chickenshit is the damage that just keeps going on.
I understand what might be the sentiment. It costs $200,000 a year to store them, and the metal could be used to construct things the army could actually use. My problem here is that the 1911s McCain has marked for destruction and repurpose are primarily the ones meant to go to the CMP.
Why McCain feels the need to strip the CMP of their shipments of 1911's to distribute to the people, I'm not sure. Perhaps it is just frugality, but getting M1911's into the hands of civilians should be something any Republican should be gung-ho to do. Especially since the CMP is one of those organizations that sells to people who have only gone through all the necessary training and education.
God knows why that bastard does ANYTHING at this point. I just hope Arizona will finally send his ass home.

No, we don't need to worry about refugees,
or the border, nooo....
Police in a U.S. town bordering Mexico have apprehended an undocumented, Middle Eastern woman in possession of the region’s gas pipeline plans, law enforcement sources tell Judicial Watch. Authorities describe the woman as an “Islamic refugee” pulled over during a traffic stop by a deputy sheriff in Luna County, New Mexico which shares a 54-mile border with Mexico. County authorities alerted the U.S. Border Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF) has been deployed to the area to investigate, sources with firsthand knowledge of the probe confirm.
There's going to be a attack of some kind by someone like this, and when people yell about it that idiot in the Oval Office and his minions will call them racist and unfeeling for being upset, "Why do you hate refugees and immigrants?", etc.
Alex Epstein had a terse response to a subpoena sent by Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey Wednesday.
...
Healey’s subpoena targeted the Center for Industrial Progress (CIP), a for-profit think tank founded by Epstein. Epstein wasn’t exactly happy about being targeted for disagreeing with Healey on global warming, so he sent the AG’s office the following response:
So, a guy who announces, before and DURING the attack, that he's with ISIS and so forth, but the Usual Suspects are still playing "We are having trouble figuring out why he did this!"
Here's that 'before':
Anyone having trouble figuring out why, or playing "It's because of Christians/conservatives/anti-gay/anything BUT jihad!" are either idiots or on the enemy side.
So Sen. Joe 'I support the 2nd Amendment' Manchin said this: Due process is what's killing us right now
So he's not actually that hot on the 2nd, and he doesn't care for that nasty due process. What else in the Constitution he swore to uphold does he consider a problem?

Dems and media are *this* close to saying the US Constitution is killing people. They are testing those waters right now
— Stephen Miller Wednesday, June 15, 2016
The New York Sli- Times, which is utterly dependent on the 1st Amendment,
thinks the others- especially the 2nd- are open to be trashed.
Short version: "We think this court is illegal, and it won't actually stop terrorists and bad guys, but we want this anyway."
The piece is written by Adam Winkler, a U.C.L.A. School of Law professor. Winkler argues the secret court is a good idea because the same kind of court is already used for government surveillance, and historically, the U.S. has committed worse rights violations such as Japanese internment camps.

And Jeh Johnson, the chief DHS jackass, brays again
The Islamic terrorist who carried out the horrific, atrocious attack
on Pulse nightclub in Orlando Sunday morning was employed by G4S
security company as a licensed, professional security guard with the
ability to carry a firearm on duty. He worked at the company for years.
G4S is contracted by the Department of Homeland Security to protect federal buildings, including nuclear facilities, and is responsible for providing security protocol for major transportation hubs around the country.
Further, the terrorist (an American citizen) purchased the firearms he used Sunday legally and passed a background check to do so.
Despite these facts, during an interview with CBS this morning Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson declared gun control as a "matter of national security."
Of course he did; he's following his master's lead.
Remember, he's over the people who've never caught a terrorist at the airport, who steal your stuff, who molest you and abuse you. But he declares "This is a matter of National Security!", and expects people to swoon and fall into line.
Fuck you, Johnson.

Another study showing "No, cholesterol isn't the horrible killer
we'd been told."
Cholesterol does not cause heart disease in the elderly and trying to reduce it with drugs like statins is a waste of time, an international group of experts has claimed.
A review of research involving nearly 70,000 people found there was no link between what has traditionally been considered “bad” cholesterol and the premature deaths of over 60-year-olds from cardiovascular disease.
Published in the BMJ Open journal, the new study found that 92 percent of people with a high cholesterol level lived longer.
Yes, of course it's being denied; it goes against the Settled Science(God, I've come to hate that attitude).
If you'll excuse me, I have some bacon to eat.

While all the usual suspects are screaming "BAN EVERYTHING!!",
one of the best Cluebats™ every made for beating them with came from Larry Correia, and it's here. It's a long piece, but well worth the time to read. And quote from. Good for hammering idiocy.
Speaking of idiocy,
You'll notice there's no 'was used to', or any reference to human agency; it's as if the wastes of oxygen who committed the crimes didn't really exist. Because it's so much easier to come up with idiocy such as 'This gun is JUST LIKE A NUKE! Or a Sarin bomb!", than it is to deal with the ugly fact that evil people committed the acts.
That no-fly list Hillary and a bunch of other hoplophobes think should ban people from owning guns? Here's part of why that's such a load of crap:
Chief Judge Alex Kozinski had a simple question for the government attorney: what would you do if you found yourself on the No Fly List? After some hemming and hawing, the attorney said that he would seek “redress” from the Department of Homeland Security – even though DHS does not place people on the No Fly list and has no authority to remove them (that’s the FBI’s job). Because, the lawyer conceded, DHS would not be able to confirm or deny whether he was on the list, he would then seek review in a federal appellate court. And what would the court be able to do?, asked Judge Kozinski. Not much, said the government lawyer. In fact, the lawyer would not even concede that a federal court possessed the authority to order someone removed from the No Fly List.
Speaking of,
Ever noticed that when Obama blames someone being radicalized on 'things found on the internet', it does two things: gives him a way to claim 'We need more control over the internet', and takes things like, say, imams saying that 'killing homosexuals is a kindness' out of the picture?

I swear, the idiots in charge won't stop this crap until there's a Mumbai attack
in a major city. And maybe not then.
On Sunday, the East Orlando Post reported startling words from James Copenhaver, whom it described as a “veteran investigator and former Orlando law enforcement officer.” Said Copenhaver:
Because the FBI and other law enforcement agencies don’t study Islam, and this is a direct result of Muslim groups demanding the removal of such material. Those who are committed to protecting us are taught to downplay and deny the motivating ideology behind jihad terror attacks.
You'd think that, even without training on the matter, the images of gays being thrown off buildings, and stoned to death, might have made just a little impression...
But apparently not. Which is so idiotic, I can't really describe it.
PC at any cost.

I have been in this business for 30 years, and we all in law enforcement have talked about one of the theme parks getting hit by these terrorist killers. Never in all my years of training, and being involved in several investigative units, to include the FBI Task Force, would we have ever guessed a LGBT club be a target of an terrorist attack. Why would they never have guessed?

And the Usual Suspects are out there screaming the usual BS
ACLU lawyers blame 'Christian right,' GOP for Orlando terrorist attack is a good one. Because the muslim who committed a terrorist attack can't be held fully responsible; it would violate the Preferred Narrative, and we can't have that. It would also violate the "We need more gun laws!" screeching of the blood-dancers. Speaking of, here's a question:
There’s also a disturbing question about how Mr. Mateen managed to keep working as a security guard despite having been twice investigated by the FBI. He had been employed since mid-2007 by G4S, a private security firm that does work for the U.S. Government, including transporting illegal immigrants around the country for the Department of Homeland Security. How he kept this job even though he was known to Federal authorities for suspected ties to jihadism is something that has to be asked – and answered.
And when it's asked, the idiots like the moron ACLU lawyer will scream "RACISM!" and such.
Also of interest from the second link,
The killer’s family has claimed that their son’s terrible act had “nothing to do with religion” – again, following the script we have come to expect whenever a young person, usually male, brutally murders strangers in the name of Islam. While Omar Mateen’s father claims to be utterly mystified by his son’s actions, that assertion should be examined closely, since Seddique Mateen has publicly praised the Taliban in his home country – the very people the American military has been fighting since late 2001. In a truly bizarre twist, Mateen Senior claims to be the real president of Afghanistan. His statement that his son was triggered by seeing two men kissing in public seems unlikely to endear the family to the American public.
And Dear Leader went to his usual crap:
Although Mr. Obama demurred from some of his customary evasions, actually calling the attack an “act of terrorism,” he quickly defaulted to his usual talking points whenever radical Muslims butcher Americans: “hate” and “guns” were cited frequently by the president, while words such as “Islamism” and “jihad” were notable by their absence. Mr. Obama’s denial of the obvious, perfected during his two terms in the White House, appears unshakeable.
These evasions are met with derision by counterterrorism professionals, who deduced Mr. Obama’s agenda back in 2009 when he dismissed the Fort Hood massacre as “workplace violence.”
And while the media is concentrating on 'mass shooting' and ignoring 'terrorism',
FOX News reported Monday that the US was sending guns to Banias and Borj Islam, Syria before the Benghazi terrorist attack.

US Intelligence agencies were fully aware that weapons were moving from the terrorist stronghold in Libya to Syria before the attack that killed four Americans…'Mass shooting' makes a fine distraction from asking Hillary Clinton about this, doesn't it?
September 16, 2012 DIA Memo copied to the National Security Council, CIA, and others concluded the Benghazi terrorist attack was planned at least ten or more days in advance…
The memo also tied the attack to 9-11… No discussion of a demonstration or anti-Mohammad video.
US officials were aware that weapons were being shipped to Syria by the Port of Benghazi.

And they wonder why people don't like them...
Now the Drug Enforcement Administration wants that same kind of
power, starting with access to an Oregon database containing the private
medical data of more than a million people.
The DEA has claimed for years that under federal law it has the authority to access the state’s Prescription Drug Monitor Program database using only an “administrative subpoena.” These are unilaterally issued orders that do not require a showing of probable cause before a court, like what’s required to obtain a warrant.
In 2012 Oregon sued the DEA to prevent it from enforcing the subpoenas to snoop around its drug registry. Two years ago a U.S. District Court found in favor of the state, ruling that prescription data is covered by the Fourth Amendment’s protection against unlawful search and seizure.
But the DEA didn’t stop there. It appealed the ruling to the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco and has been fighting tooth and nail ever since to access Oregon’s files on its own terms.
"Hey, we have warrants(they just don't have to actually go before a judge to be sworn to and all that), so what's the problem?"
Other than you wanting to ignore the Constitution? Oh, I can think of a couple of others, you bastards.

"...the individual who attacked an Orlando nightclub Sunday morning bragged
about “having ties to terrorist organizations.”
And, as expected, "IT'S THE GUNS! MORE LAWS NEEDED!!" Something missing, though:
It should be noted that Ehrenfreund doesn’t make a single mention of radical Islamic terrorism and the ties it has to the string of recent mass shootings on American soil.
Seems Obama is following his usual and won't say the words 'Islamic terrorist/extremist'. Also,
FBI assistant investigator in charge Ronald Hopper told Fox News Sunday morning that there are “suggestions that the individual may have leanings toward that particular ideology.”

Well, we've been expecting it;
it happened.
Keep your eyes open, wherever you are. Know how to get out. It's going to happen again. If we're lucky, it'll be more dirtbags like this; if we're not, it'll be some trained jihadi who walked across our 'secure' border, or was let in as a refugee.
Oh, and you can count on all the Usual Suspects screaming "If only we'd had more gun laws!" Because terrorists planning mass-murder are very careful to obey such laws.

Be a bad witness
This. Because your job, almost always is to get yourself and anyone you're with to safety, or if not safety to the least-dangerous place you can.
No, crooks do NOT 'order guns online with no background check', and
they don't waltz into gun stores to buy them, either. Proven again.
The study learned that virtually zero criminals have ever used the internet or gun shows, because that method is easily traceable. It’s much safer for a criminal to acquire firearms on the streets where they’re harder to keep track of, and that’s most criminals method of choice.
And those Evil Assault Weapons?
The vast majority of the inmates used handguns to commit their crimes or protect themselves, very few cited using “military-style assault weapons.” And they said their habit was to get rid of a gun after one year because of the “legal liability” of being caught with a gun that could be linked to crimes they or others committed.”
As for specifics regarding sources for purchasing guns, some of the inmates indicated that gangs have individuals with a Firearm Owners Identification Card who buy guns then sell them to gang members. Others indicated using “corrupt cops” who seize guns then “put them back on the street.”
Crooks get guns illegally; Bloomberg, CSGV and Mommies Want hardest hit

I can't even say I hate this; it's way beyond that
Pupils at the Herder school in Kassel, Germany have been subjected to
months of sexual assault by “much older” migrant males on their way to
and from school, dating back as far as September 2015. The three girls
aged between 16 and 18 were repeatedly touched inappropriately and
verbally abused, but they refused to report the incidents to the police or their school because the perpetrators were “refugees”.
German newspaper the Hessian Niedersächsische Allgemeinereports the girls realised the “social-political” implications of their reporting their crimes, with the significant amount of press attention swirling around migrant sex assault, leading to them becoming what the paper identified as “paralysed by political correctness”.

We do not want people making sweeping accusations [about migrants], [and we didn’t want to] foment bad blood”. The school says “many others may have experienced this harassment as well”.
Well and truly brainwashed. I hope the idiots who taught them to think this way suffer for it, because these girls and who-knows-how-many others are.
German newspaper the Hessian Niedersächsische Allgemeinereports the girls realised the “social-political” implications of their reporting their crimes, with the significant amount of press attention swirling around migrant sex assault, leading to them becoming what the paper identified as “paralysed by political correctness”.

Those .30-06 loaded with Green Dot? Except for the 150-grain flat-points, bloody awful. But I think I know why: on several shots the recoil(such as it is) and noise were noticeably less than others. I suspect the Green Dot didn't feed smoothly through my Hornady measure, so I got varied charges. I'm going to load some more, but I'll try the Lee measure. If those don't come out evenly, I'll weigh the charges.
Ref the mention of .45-70s and recoil pads, I hadn't looked in a while; Limbsaver pads have gotten expensive.
Unlike some things out there, though, they're worth it.

Because the nobility and their minions shouldn't have to obey the laws
they make for the peasants.
The California state Senate voted 28-8 Wednesday to exempt itself from the pointless gun-control laws that apply to the rest of the populace. Legislators apparently think they alone are worthy to pack heat on the streets for personal protection, and the masses ought to wait until the police arrive.
You do have to remember that to the politicians they're not pointless; the point is to disarm the peasants so they'll be easier to control, and more dependent on the State.
And this:
This very maneuver was used to kill:
People keep leaving because of crap like this, and increasing taxes; and the legislature just raises them more and bitches about people leaving. If they thought they could get away with it, they'd pass a law requiring you to pay half your net worth to the State before you could move out.

... [a] bill that would have eliminated the practice of allowing select public employees to avoid paying red-light-camera tickets and escape any consequence for using toll roads without paying. The current system grants free rides to politicians, court workers, police officers, city council members, social workers, meter maids and their spouses. The bill failed even after a compromise amendment deleted the requirement to pay red-light-camera tickets.

I should note, had a chance to put a few rounds
through a .45-70 a couple of days ago. I get one of these, there will be a recoil pad fitted.
Remember that 'conservatives are psychotic' study four years ago?
The paper originally stated that, "In line with our expectations, P [for
"Psychoticism"] (positively related to tough-mindedness and
authoritarianism) is associated with social conservatism and
conservative military attitudes."
and so forth.
Slight problem:
"Thus, where we indicated that higher scores in Table 1 (page 40) reflect a more conservative response, they actually reflect a more liberal response," the correction said. "Specifically, in the original manuscript, the descriptive analyses report that those higher in Eysenck's psychoticism are more conservative, but they are actually more liberal; and where the original manuscript reports those higher in neuroticism and social desirability are more liberal, they are, in fact, more conservative."
Anyone who believes this reversal was purely accidental, go stand in a corner. And practice thinking.
The researchers tried to downplay the significance of this error by arguing it didn't matter what the conclusions were, they were only interested in the "magnitude of the relationship and the source of it."
Horseshit.
More from Powerline:
The authors regret that there is an error in the published version of “Correlation not Causation: The Relationship between Personality Traits and Political Ideologies” American Journal of Political Science 56 (1), 34–51. The interpretation of the coding of the political attitude items in the descriptive and preliminary analyses portion of the manuscript was exactly reversed.
In line with the cynicism with which I view such nowadays, I tend to think this is more "Someone spotted our screwup and like it or not, we have to correct it, or someone will take away our library privileges or something."
More:
If you continue with the explanation in the correction it would seem to suggest that someone simply transposed the data somewhere along the line during the coding steps. Or maybe the authors were hoping for a job with Dan Rather or Katie Couric if tenure didn’t come through? They are defending themselves by saying that the main point of the paper was to demonstrate the magnitude of correlations between personality traits and sociopolitical attitudes, and hence that the ideological direction of the correlation doesn’t matter. This doesn’t wash well with the great folks at the indispensible Retraction Watch, who interviewed one of the academics who spotted the mistake, Steven Ludeke of the University of Southern Denmark, who said:

The erroneous results represented some of the larger correlations between personality and politics ever reported; they were reported and interpreted, repeatedly, in the wrong direction; and then cited at rates that are (for this field) extremely high. And the relationship between personality and politics is, as we note in the paper, quite a “hot” topic, with a large number of new papers appearing every year. So although the errors do not matter for the result that the authors (rightly) see as their most important, I obviously think the errors themselves matter quite a lot, especially for what it says about the scientific process both pre- and post-review.Put bluntly, "They got a result they liked, and a lot of other scientists liked it, so nobody really checked on it." Which boils down to "Next time you hear the phrase 'settled science', tell them they're full of crap."

A: This moron WANTS violence
He wants riots. He wants people beat up(wonder if he draws the line at murder?). Among his justifications:
More recently, the Ferguson and Baltimore Uprisings both helped prompt the Justice Department to investigate their corrupt police forces.
'Uprisings'. Let's see, in Ferguson it was pushed on by a lie about 'hands up'. Last I heard, nobody in Baltimore had been convicted of anything. All that rioting and looting, oh, it's not that! 'Uprisings'...
Further evidence of his being delusional:
And since we’re talking about fascism, it’s worth remembering that it wasn’t the election of a moderate centrist (hello, Hillary) or a sanguine protest that stopped its ascent in Europe.
A: Anybody who calls Clinton a 'moderate centrist' is either lying, or a fool. And I doubt he's talking about Mussolini, which means he's throwing 'fascism' at the National Socialists; it's so much nicer than admitting they were socialists.
Assholes like this are going to push things until there's a real explosion, at which time they're going to wind up on the receiving end of what a lot of Sanders and Clinton supporters have been handing out. They'll scream and yell and say this proves how evil the other side is. Because it's only good when they're assaulting people and breaking things.

Surprise factor: Zero.
The Obama administration believes that at least 12 detainees released from the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, have launched attacks against U.S. or allied forces in Afghanistan, killing about a half-dozen Americans, according to current and former U.S. officials.
In March, a senior Pentagon official made a startling admission to lawmakers when he acknowledged that former Guantanamo inmates were responsible for the deaths of Americans overseas.
'Startling'? To who?
And total numbers and so forth are classified, of course. Yes, this idiocy started under Bush; Obama accelerated it, and wants to turn them ALL loose. Wonderful, isn't it?

Sometimes those 'stay on the trail' signs and warnings really are there
for a good reason.
Rangers suspended their attempts on Wednesday to recover the body of a man who wandered from a designated boardwalk and fell into an acidic hot spring at Yellowstone National Park, another in a string of incidents raising concerns over visitor behavior.
"They were able to recover a few personal effects," park spokeswoman Charissa Reid said. "There were no remains left to recover."
Yeah, simmering in boiling-hot acidic water will do that.
Awright, if nobody sells the rings I need, I'll make my own
And back these in them

This is a combination of "We're supposed to trust ANY of these people? Why?" and
Why The EPA Should Be Closed And The Leadership Jailed, Part 876:
Environmental Protection Agency worker Hays Griswold was in charge at the Gold King Mine in August 2015 when a three-million gallon flood of dangerous mine waste — including 880,000 pounds of toxic elements like lead and arsenic — poured into Colorado’s Animus River, turning it yellow for nearly a week and poisoning the drinking water source for residents of three states and the Navajo Nation.
But somebody contrived to remove critical details, including Griswold’s name, from an “independent” review of the disaster, according to documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation. Officials at the Department of the Interior – and perhaps EPA – had access to the draft.
Gee, I wonder how that could have happened?
Griswold was temporarily the On-Scene Coordinator at the mine because the crew’s usual chief, OSC Steven Way, was on vacation and had left orders “not to touch” the mine’s entrance, a draft of the Bureau of Reclamation’s (BOR) review of the yellow flood obtained by TheDCNF shows. The EPA has argued Griswold was following Way’s orders, but neither official has been punished.
Nate Snorteland, an Army Corps of Engineer peer reviewer, had little doubt about what happened.
“EPA immediately began to remove material from the face at the Gold King Mine,” Snorteland wrote in his comments on the draft review, according to the documents reviewed by TheDCNF. “This is a serious oversight or poor decision that may have been the key factor in the blowout.”
Yet the final report omitted those key details.
Two things here: the EPA and Interior screwed with the report, which is disgusting(and what we've come to expect from these bastards); but WHY did they start removing material? What was going on in the heads of the idiots giving the orders?
Go read it all, if you have breakables out of reach.
Regardless, no one has been punished for the disaster, which likely will ultimately cost state and federal taxpayers millions of dollars.
Of course. Because working for a federal agency means never paying a price for screwing things up this badly(or following idiot orders no matter the cost to others).

Because stealing your cash, car, and other hard property wasn't enough
You may have heard of civil asset forfeiture.
That's where police can seize your property and cash without first proving you committed a crime; without a warrant and without arresting you, as long as they suspect that your property is somehow tied to a crime.
Now, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol has a device that also allows them to seize money in your bank account or on prepaid cards.
It's called an ERAD, or Electronic Recovery and Access to Data machine, and state police began using 16 of them last month.
Ain't it just bloody wonderful?
And hey, Lt. Vincent:
"If you can prove can prove that you have a legitimate reason to have that money it will be given back to you. And we've done that in the past," Vincent said about any money seized.
Since when the HELL are we supposed to have to PROVE something like that to get our property back? 4th Amendment? Constitution? Any of that ring a bell, or have you forgotten about it?

Police in Lakeland, Florida, were called to a horrifying scene after it
was reported a large alligator was spotted with a human body in its mouth. The alligator was found on Tuesday in Lake Hunter with the
remains in its mouth before being frightened away by all of the
commotion. Once the alligator left the area, it dropped the body and
authorities were able to retrieve the remains from the water. Police
believe the victim was an adult male but say they are not positive.

Nearly half of Washington, D.C. employers said they have either laid off employees or reduced the hours of employees to adapt to the District of Columbia’s minimum wage hikes since 2014, according to a report from the Employment Policies Institute.
...
One in five businesses said they would move out of the District of Columbia and into Arlington, Virginia where the minimum wage is $7.25 per hour. Sixteen percent of businesses surveyed said they were somewhat likely to close their business if the minimum wage hike were implemented and 6 percent of businesses said they would likely close.
So fewer jobs, etc. Just as predicted. And the effect of those staying raising prices: people who're close to the edge go from 'a night out for dinner' to 'What're we making tonight?' Which means less income to the businesses, which means- well, you know the drill. And throw in this:
Thirty-one percent of businesses said they were very likely to hire more skilled workers in the future to offset the higher wage.
Which means fewer jobs for people just starting out. Wonderful, isn't it?
And the idiots responsible?
While Bowser did not comment on this specific report she said that there was consensus that a $15 minimum wage was the right thing to do for the District of Columbia.
“We are glad there is consensus around a $15 minimum wage and welcome the ongoing conversation on how best to support our workers, while creating an environment where businesses can start, grow, and thrive in all 8 wards,” Bowser said.
These people are so freaking disconnected from reality, it's scary. "A consensus it's the right thing to do." "We welcome the conversation." The consensus, you morons, is that you're driving businesses away and reducing the number of jobs. But you don't seem to care, because this shows how much you care, right(and screw the peasants losing out)?

The Pulitzer prize-winning editorial page editor of the Detroit Free Press has called for the murder of Michigan lawmakers with whom he disagrees.
The reason? The lawmakers voted for legislation that would give parents more choices to avoid Michigan’s failing public schools.
Because parents having the chance to put their kids in a better schools is far less important than protecting the teachers unions and school bureaucrats from competition.
In the past I've been asked why I despise the United Nations so; well, for one,
The UN whistleblower who exposed the rape of children by peacekeepers in Africa has quit his post to protest what he sees as the "complete impunity" of those responsible, he announced in an interview on Tuesday.
...
Speaking to humanitarian news agency Irin, Mr Kompass said he was leaving because of "the complete impunity for those who have been found to have, in various degrees, abused their authority, together with the unwillingness of the hierarchy to express any regrets for the way they acted towards me".
This isn't the first time crap like this has happened, and the UN did nothing. Or actively denied/covered-up what happened.
Why do people hate federal bureaucrats, especially in some agencies? Because 'reassigned' for this shit. Not fired, not punished, sent somewhere else.
The federal bureaucrat who blocked armed law enforcement agents from apprehending a man involved in the San Bernardino terror attack last December, then allegedly lied to investigators about her actions, has been reassigned to another post, but likely won't face further investigation, FoxNews.com has learned.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services supervisor who an Inspector General’s report did not name but blasted for keeping Department of Homeland Security agents from Enrique Marquez is Irene Martin, who, according to her Linkedin.com account, has been with the agency for at least 16 years, 13 years as a field supervisor.
...
It is not clear what disciplinary action Martin could face, but the report last week faulted her for making agents wait more than 90 minutes before she gave them access to related files on the suspected terrorist, and then she dismissively ordered them to hand copy files, according to the federal report. Agents told building security they intended to arrest Marquez to prevent him from killing anyone, but Martin had them wait 30 minutes just to see her. When questioned by IG investigators later, Martin repeatedly changed her story and also contradicted what other witnesses said.
But she's still got that sweet federal job, with all those benefits, because 'federal employee'.
And they wonder why people say unkind things about them...

Screw that the 2nd Amendment is part of the Constitution, Clinton doesn't think the right to arms is a Constitutional right. Because she doesn't want it to be.

Remember that Lee Auto Bench Prime tool? Worked great with large primers, then tried doing some small and had a bunch of problems.
Looked at the primer assembly I'd taken out: clearly marked 'LG' for large, so the other one had to be the small. Except when I took it out and looked at it, it was also marked 'LG'...
E-mail Lee: 'This happened, do I need to send one of the large back before you can send me a small?'
Response: 'Can you send us a picture of the parts you have(I'm assuming for 'make certain we send the right thing' purposes)? We'll just send you what you need.'
I love dealing with companies that do this right.

things would start appearing.
The State Department said it would take 75 years for the release of emails from top aides to Hillary Clinton while she was serving as secretary of State.
Lawyers said it would take that long to compile the 450,000 pages of records from former Clinton aides Cheryl Mills, Jacob Sullivan and Patrick Kennedy, according to a court filing from last week, which was first reported by CNN.
This is bullshit. From a clapped-out bull. And they know we know it. But they know the chances of this 'Justice' Department actually doing anything about it are just about zero, so they don't care.

June 6, 1944
Dwight D. Eisenhower
Order of the Day
Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Forces:
You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.
But this is the year 1944. Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats, in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned. The free men of the world are marching together to victory.
I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty, and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory.
Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.

Well, isn't that special?
The sign on the door seemingly said it all: "Service animals are
welcome," but Hunter claims the manager, later identified as Mitul
Ahmed, said something very different.
"I may have been holding the door when he first said something. He said, 'The dog is not allowed in here. Get the dog out of here,'" Hunter said.
"He was clearly identified as a service animal," Eyewitness News Investigative Reporter Sarah Wallace said.
"He was wearing what he has on right now," Hunter said. "I said he was a service animal."
"He didn't care," Wallace said.
TV crew showed up to ask about it. You'll love it.
At this point, screw just getting rid of the EPA: start putting officials in jail. And some of them ought to be flogged in the town square, so the local citizens can take turns helping out.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) representatives have focused intently on Silverton, Colorado since the mid-1990s, accumulating evidence — and sometimes using scare tactics — to persuade residents to drop their opposition to a Superfund designation for the surrounding region.
Residents surrendered to federal demands only after an EPA work-crew turned the nearby Animas River bright yellow for nearly a week by releasing a three-million-gallon flood of acidic mine waste under extremely questionable circumstances in August 2015.
Read it all. Some private somebody tried crap like this, said EPA and the Democrats would be screaming bloody murder, but the EPA does it? Silence.

Hillary Clinton is the antithesis of that young captain,
someone with no
honor, little courage and commitment only to her endless ambition. This
has nothing to do with gender, party affiliation, ideology or policy.
It is a question of character — not just hers, but ours. Electing
Clinton would mean abandoning holding people accountable for grievous
errors of integrity and responsibility. What we already know about her
security infractions should disqualify her for any government position
that deals in information critical to mission success, domestic or
foreign. But beyond that, her responses to being found out — dismissing
its importance, claiming ignorance, blaming others — indict her beyond
anything the investigation can reveal. Those elements reveal her
character. And the saddest thing is that so many in America seem not to
care.
I have nothing to add.
I have nothing to add.

Attention, Mr. President
Two things I'd like to respond to here:
First,
“I just came from a meeting today in the situation room in which I’ve got people who we know have been on ISIL websites living here in the United States…and we’re allowed to put them on the no-fly list when it comes to airlines, but because of the National Rifle Association, I cannot prohibit those people from buying a gun,” Obama said.
Everyone from the ACLU down has been screaming about the clusterfuck that is the 'no-fly list' precisely BECAUSE it's a clusterfuck: inaccurate, virtually unanswerable, and lots of innocent people on it; note that your criteria seems to be 'They were on a ISIL website!' Which could mean jihadi wannabe, or could mean somebody doing research. But you ignore that, because 'Banning people from owning guns is good. Even on bullshit 'reason'.'
Second:
"But no progress can be made on the issue if every gun control proposal is viewed as some “tyrannical destruction of the Second Amendment.”
When you have spoken- multiple times, and with great approval- of following the Australia and Britain model, which is 'ban, confiscate, and license what's left', how the hell are we SUPPOSED to view such crap from you?
You may not understand this, or may not like it and desperately wish it weren't true, but we pay attention to what you say. And when you have- multiple times- wanted to ban various guns, ban various magazines, ammo, and (fill in the blank); when you've said- more than once- you'd like to look at confiscation and bans and licensing just like in Britain and Australia, we hear it. And remember it.
And we're not going to let anyone else forget it, either.

It gets worse. The enlightened former freaks
who now inhabit these
campuses have become increasingly hypersensitive and nasty, spitting tacks at people for all manner of imaginary crimes such as “cultural appropriation.” Recently, a white guy got hammered for wearing
dreadlocks. This is deeply ironic because, as I recall, we hippies were
masters of cultural appropriation. Hookahs, Nehru jackets, bead
curtains, reggae, Eastern religions, sitar music, Tibetan prayer flags,
chakras, ethnic food, dashikis, Rasta shoulder bags, ironically worn
military apparel, mandalas, henna tattoos, muumuus, hand-woven
Guatemalan tunics, pyramid power, Maori tattoos, macramé — excuse me for
a moment, I think I’m having an acid flashback. Trails, beautiful
trails. . . .
Ahem. Apparently, this appropriation business has become big business. Visit one of the hippie apparel shops online and pick up a Native American Dream Catcher necklace or a Kathmandu boho sling bag. Maybe a nice African thumb piano, or a pair of Cambodian water buffalo sandals — just “add to cart” and check out with your Amex Platinum card. The people who are griping about these outrages support entire industries based on cultural appropriation.
...
What we’ve learned from this process, is when aggrieved people— even peace-loving flower children— acquire power, they invariably turn into oppressors as horrible as, or worse than, the tyrants they replaced. This is how we have come to witness the spectacle of a white guy with dreadlocks being assaulted by a black woman wearing Bob Marley flip-flops, neither of whom is a Rastafarian or Jamaican.
Where have all the hippies gone?
Gone for tyrants, every one.
When will we ever learn, when will we ever learn?

Why didn't San Jose police actually do anything
while people were being assaulted? And their cars were damaged, and general rioting was going on?
Well, the mayor blamed the Trump supporters for the problem, and the police were standing around either because the brass wanted the mayor happy, or because they were incompetent:
… officers were confronted by some protestors who became violent, aggressive and began to throw objects in their direction. A majority of the violence occurred at the conclusion of the event. While several physical assaults did occur, the police personnel on scene had the difficult task of weighing the need to immediately apprehend the suspect(s) against the possibility that police action involving the use of physical force under the circumstances would further insight [sic] the crowd and produce more violent behavior.
Etc. ad Bullshit.
And now both are playing damage control(seems having it pointed out that the mayor blamed the victims, and the PD didn't do it's damned job while people were being beaten, etc., caused them to realize this didn't look good), issuing statements and "If you have video, loan it to us so we can find the criminals." Yeah, I'm sure you're just going to run yourselves ragged trying to find them.
