Something else not to forget about Fast & Furious:

Hundreds of people, including elected officials, law enforcement officers, and even children have been murdered with guns smuggled over the border in Fast and Furious, one of up to ten gun-walking operations being carried out in border states from California to Florida, supplying 20,000 guns to narco-terrorists at precisely the same time that President Barack Obama, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were pushing the infamous 90-Percent Lie in an effort to manufacture an excuse to ban certain firearms.
And NOBODY responsible has been punished.  But we can trust the .gov to police itself, sure.

There was a bill to reform the asset-forfeiture mess(I still think 'Theft Under Color Of Law' is the proper name for it), and Sen. Anthony Sykes refused to let it be heard in the Judiciary Committee; now we know why:
Capitol insiders told Red Dirt Report Sykes refused to hear the civil asset forfeiture bill because he wants to befriend law enforcement officials and collect their support for a run at the state Attorney General’s position in 2018.
Gee, isn't that wonderful?  "Screw people being screwed out of their property, I want to be Attorney General, and the cops using this can help me!"

So he dodges other legislators, and dodges reporters, and tries to hide himself and what he's doing; just the kind of  clown we need as a AG, right?

Anybody surprised the State Department would try to protect their fellow diplomats from being embarrassed by people finding out the crap they're doing?

One more bigoted control freak tells us what she is

“We let the assault weapons ban, which was led by our senator Dianne Feinstein , we let that lapse. So you know, multiautomatic round weapons are easily available, even though not in California, but they can cross the state line, as you know,” Sanchez insisted.
Referring to the AWB that even the people who shoved it through admitted had nothing to do with crime control.  And which didn't work.  "But we want it back anyway!"

Not to mention the terrorists got the AR15s I think this clown is referring to.  Right there in Californicated.

“The second thing is, we really haven’t done that much about mental health. I’ve been working with my colleague, Grace Napolitano here out of the Los Angeles area to try to get mental health services more available for people, and it hasn’t happened.”
Well, your party has controlled Californicated for- what, decades now?  So if it hasn't happened, who's responsible?

“But then we have this thing called gun shows, which come into town, sell everything, don’t do these background checks.
Flat-out lie, but she doesn't care.

Question: Is she that stupid and dishonest on her own, or did she catch some of it from Ma'am Boxer?

The Professional Journalism of NBC.  On full display.  No wonder Brian Williams got away with his shit so long, he was among like-minded journalists.

Joe Huffman found a good one.  You need to see this.

According to WaPo, “In 1993, there were seven homicides by firearm for every 100,000 Americans. … By 2013, that figure had fallen by nearly half, to 3.6 [per 100,000].”

Breitbart News previously pointed to this decline and explained it correlated with a massive increase in privately owned firearms over the same period of time.

...So gun ownership increased for 20 years, but “gun homicides” decreased–except in gun free zones.

Yeah.  Mostly evil white males.  Except it's not.

A: The woman went through the vetting process- which the State Department says works just fine- despite some, let's say 'warning signs'.  And now CAIR and mouthpieces are out in droves, because the real victims here are muslims.
I'm sick to death of CAIR coming out and delivering ISIS' list of grievances to us, on behalf of Muslims worldwide, while at the same time claiming that Islam has nothing to do with ISIS.

Islam has nothing at all to do with ISIS; but, that said, here is our list of demands.

Speaking of CAIR and mouthpieces, who IS paying this lawyer?

And don't forget, it's actually our fault.

"How dare you show her face!  It's disrespectful!"  Well, Mr. Hashem Said, we don't have much respect for terrorist murderers.  So take your outrage, fold it to eight corners, and shove it up your ass.

I don't doubt it.  Especially the last.
**Barack Obama is said to have asked during an earlier meeting regarding the San Bernardino terrorist attack how best they, “control the message on this.” Jarrett operatives have apparently already reached out to and continue to then remind supportive media figures to describe San Bernardino as a “shooting” and not connect it to Islamic terror.

It seems the administration’s motivation will continue to demand the terror attack be used as yet another tool for further calls for federal gun control laws despite ever-increasing evidence the attack in San Bernardino was exclusively the result of Muslim terrorism. FBI Director James Comey appears increasingly unwilling to play along with the Obama White House’s insistence the actual terror threat be downplayed while the push for gun control be expanded.
—————-
UPDATE: Rumors now circulating that Barack Obama recently stood over Director Comey, who was seated at the time, and inquired whose side the FBI Director was on. Apparently the two men have been at odds for months, including Comey’s repeated repudiation of the Black Lives Matter movement and its highly negative impact upon law enforcement morale.
"I put you in that job, you're supposed to do and say what I tell you!"

And the last thing I have for now: you realize this means that if the other 75% of those sorties had actually dropped munitions on the bad guys, we'd probably be dry?  And how long it's going to take to begin to replace enough of this to make a difference?

Yeah, the State Department just now found

1300 e-mails from the now-dead ambassador(more of those "But we already turned EVERYTHING over!")  But there's nothing to see here, no attempt to hide things, you haters.

Short version: "It doesn't matter if there was no hate crime, SOMEONE WAS TROUBLED!  Therefore we need a million dollars of other peoples money to spend on diversity."

On the general front, in the near future- say, late next week- bloggage will be slight to non-existent for a while.  Due to the fact that there's damage that'll require surgery to repair, my shoulder will be worked on, and trying to type much with one hand is a pain(so is shooting; yes I have been doing more one-handed practice).

So, between that then, and trying to make sure stuff in the house and yard is caught up so I don't have to worry about it then, much less typing will be done.  I did get the second part of the lube test done, I'll write that up later today.

For some reason it doesn't surprise me that the name 'Kennedy' shows up

in this corruption.
Judicial Watch today released Obama administration correspondence containing a letter from Under Secretary of State for Management Patrick F. Kennedy asking Hillary Clinton’s lawyer to destroy all electronic copies of a classified email found in records Clinton decided to turn over to the State Department six months before.  Clinton’s attorney, David Kendall, rejected the request as Congress and other investigators had demanded electronic records be preserved.  The correspondence also shows Hillary Clinton has ignored a demand to turn over all electronic copies of the approximately 55,000 pages of emails she previously returned in paper form.  The correspondence was disclosed by the State and Justice Departments in a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit in which Judicial Watch is asking a court to issue a preservation order to protect any emails Clinton has yet to turn over, including those emails in which she and her lawyers unilaterally determined to be personal. (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (1:12-cv-02034))
This shit isn't going to get cleaned up until judges start throwing people in prison for perjury and ignoring court orders.  Then it might start.

Another communist government is taking a country down the toilet,

and what's the answer?  "We just give them supplies and money to help!"

No, we don't.  The tyrants running the country have taken a fairly rich place and run it out of food, medicine, toilet paper and beer.  All while running squads of thugs around beating and terrorizing people.  Either let it sink, or tell them "Change your ways and we'll help."  And do NOTHING until.

"Politics are not involved in this decision."  In a pigs ass it's not.

Why might she not want those e-mails looked at?

Things like this.
This memo is dated August 22, 2011, immediately after the fall of Qaddafi’s government. It is interesting for several reasons. First, it shows Blumenthal giving Hillary political advice. Second, it confirms that Libya was intended to be Hillary’s great accomplishment as Secretary of State, for which she was to take full credit. Third, it is striking how Blumenthal’s comments about Libya sound as though he was talking about Iraq.

Why the schools are screwed, and so are the students:
Attorneys for a nationally recognized Los Angeles Unified teacher, who was removed from his classroom after allegations of misconduct, are issuing an ultimatum to district administrators: publicly apologize and let him return to work, or get sued.
And what was this horrible misconduct?
Three months later, L.A. Unified officials have not clearly outlined the allegations against the popular teacher, said his attorney Mark Geragos. But Geragos said he learned that the investigation stemmed from a complaint by another teacher after Esquith read to a class a passage from "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain.

"How dare you disturb Senator Sweeney with a protest!  We must prevent this from happening again!"
Yeah, sounds like the D&FSofNJ.

Pretty good piece on the current 'Leftists eating themselves' situation

The progressive crusaders driving these wars have been dubbed “social justice warriors,” or “SJWs,” by their Internet foes. Some activists on the left proudly embrace the label, crowing that it says a lot about the other side that it uses “social justice” as a derisive epithet. But in fact, this version of “social justice” is not about social justice at all. It is a cultish, essentially totalitarian ideology deeply inimical—as liberals such as Jonathan Chait warn in New York Magazine—to the traditional values of the liberal left, and not just because of the movement’s hostility to freedom of “harmful” speech.
She, like many others, misses an important thing: as Michael Williamson put it, they're leftists, there's nothing liberal about them.

Speaking of, did you know that 'Separate but Equal' is actually a good thing(long as it's the 'right people' getting the separate)?
So let’s get this straight (pun intended): Instead of working to ensure that LGBT students aren’t harassed and treated equally, the University of Oklahoma–a public university subject to the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment–thinks it’s better to offer a segregated “safe space” for LGBT students? Seriously?

How about a taxpayer-funded “safe space” for conservatives, or pro-life students, or even (gasp!) white men? Would the University of Oklahoma think such spaces would be important to furthering its mission of inclusion and diversity, too? Yeah, we know the answer. Oh well, it will make an interesting lawsuit.

Trust?  Any of them?  Why?
The OPM had no IT security staff until 2013, and it showed. The agency was harshly criticized for its lax security in an inspector general’s report released last November that cited its lack of encryption and the agency’s failure to track its equipment. Investigators found that the OPM failed to maintain an inventory list of all of its servers and databases and didn’t even know all the systems that were connected to its networks. The agency also failed to use multi-factor authentication for workers accessing the systems remotely from home or on the road.

Lot more in the post, but this covers it very well:
Here's what neither gentleman understands: We don't trust the GOP any longer.

Paul Ryan argues that there's no sense blocking the fast track authority because Congress will always get an up-or-down vote on the actual trade deal, whenever Obama deigns to share it with us.

He doesn't understand: We no longer trust the GOP. Yes, Mr. Ryan, the GOP will have another chance to weigh in on the TPP in its final form But we don't trust you to do the right thing then, just as we don't trust you to do the right thing now.

At this point, I'm thinking we need to flush EVERYONE out of the State Department and start over.  This is... 'insane' and 'idiotic' don't come close.  And 'massive corruption' is in there somewhere.

Patrick Kennedy, the State Department's undersecretary for management, allegedly blocked diplomatic security investigations that may have cast the bureau in a negative light.
According to an internal memo prepared by the inspector general in October 2013 and obtained by the Washington Examiner, Kennedy personally called off an investigation into the ambassador to Belgium after allegations surfaced that the ambassador had solicited "sexual favors from both prostitutes and minor children."
...
Higbie said the fact that Kennedy has remained in his post despite years of whistleblower testimony against him has "stripped many State Department employees of hope that Kennedy's example will not become acceptable practice and that real cultural change will take place."

Oh, hell, just go read it.  It's amazing, and disgusting, and the fact that this bastard is still in that position tells you all you need to know about the culture in DC in general and the State Dept. in particular.

If the media was actually paying attention to this,

there'd be hell to pay.
The State Department suspended embassy operations back on Feb. 11. On April 1, the embassy sent a message to U.S. citizens in Yemen indicating there were “no plans for a U.S. government-sponsored evacuation of U.S. citizens at this time” and encouraging U.S. citizens “to monitor the news and seek available departure options from Yemen, via air, land, or sea.”
The travel warning for Yemen was updated on April 3. “We encourage all U.S. citizens to shelter in a secure location until they are able to depart safely. U.S. citizens wishing to depart should do so via commercial transportation options when they become available.”
An emergency message sent to citizens on Sunday said they “may be able to leave Yemen from either Aden or Mokha and cross into Djibouti by boat.”
Just go read it all.  The level of stupid and incompetent is amazing.  Smart Diplomacy, no doubt.

A federal judge has issued a scathing rebuke to lawyers for the Obama administration in a case involving the president's unilateral immigration action. In an order issued Tuesday night, U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen, who had put a temporary hold on the action, not only refused to lift the hold — he also came very near to accusing administration lawyers of flat-out lying to him.
Assuming this judge might actually care about the law and ethics, if it can be shown they did lie, I think that's 'Recommend they be disbarred' territory, possibly perjury charges as well.  Now THAT would send a message.

Sen. Harry Reid: lying sack of shit.  Who's STILL demanding Romney prove something.

Here you've got cops behaving badly, Child 'Protective' Services being the assholes they tend to be, and quite possibly both shoving into this home without a warrant:
“He said, ‘We’re here to remove your son,’” Robinson said. “I said, ‘Nobody is touching my kid without a court order or a warrant.’”
According to the 38-year-old mother, officers failed to show her the documents and forced themselves into her home.
Aside from assaulting a pregnant woman, did these assholes have a warrant?  If so, did they show it?  If no on the first, that's a flat criminal action, and they should be prosecuted for it.

It appears Colorado State Senate President Morse is an even bigger dirtbag-

and more worried- than we'd thought.
Apparently, Morse’s DC tactics are at it again. Many people who signed the petition are being called and being pressured to recant their signature on the petition. We are asking folks to let us know if you feel intimidated by these calls or are being overtly coerced in any way.

Go to gotremorse.com and click on Contact Us to report if you feel unduly pressured or intimidated by their calls.

The decision to keep U.S. personnel in Benghazi with substandard security was made at the highest levels of the State Department by officials who have so far escaped blame over the Sept. 11 attack, according to a review of recent congressional testimony and internal State Department memos by Fox News.

Nine months before the assault that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others, State Department Under Secretary Patrick Kennedy signed off on an internal memo that green-lighted the Benghazi operation.
But Hillary Clinton knew nothing about it.  Right.

Something on our professional journalists and their worship(not even virtual) of Obama.

How much should you trust the State Department?

This little:
The State Department confirmed Father Kappes did visit the embassy, but he did not request safe haven. His father said his son left the embassy because he was denied safe haven. Mr. Kappes thinks the State Department is trying to cover up a mistake.
...
UPDATE: If you're abroad and your life is in danger make sure you know the magic words when you go to the US Embassy.
Father Kappes's sister Nadia Charcap updated her Facebook page last night saying the State Department denied her brother a safe haven because he asked for sanctuary or asylum. If he asked specifically for a safe haven then they would have saved him.
But there's another problem. They originally said he never asked for safety.
Which one is it? Either way the State Department comes out with egg on their face. An American citizen went to them for help and they denied him. Then they lied about him asking for help, but seeing the evidence contradicted him now they say he asked for the wrong help.

Of course, we're talking about a State Department run by the same people running our situation in Afghanistan:
As of Monday (9/24), 1,493 Americans have been killed in Afghanistan, 70 percent of them since Barack Obama became president.  About 15 percent of NATO troops killed this year have been killed by our purported Afghan allies.  “Green on blue” attacks were virtually unheard of four years ago.
...
Despite its import, the bleak war news attracted little attention from the news media.  In the wake of the 9/11/2012 attacks in Libya and Egypt, this is perhaps understandable.  But there has been little coverage of the Afghan war all year.
If George W. Bush were president, “there would be continuous coverage of the disarray in Afghanistan: the soldiers we’re training are shooting us, the corruption is intensifying, and the opium trade spreading,” said Prof. Walter Russell Mead, who teaches foreign policy at Bard College.
“These stories wouldn’t be on the back pages,” he said.  “They’d be perceived as major news with profound implications for America’s global position and the Sunday shows and nightly TV news round ups would be full of talking heads endlessly analyzing each wrinkle of the failure.”
Yeah, but that would be if a Republican were in the Oval Office; with a Democrat there, our media is too busy kissing his ass to actually REPORT on this stuff.  Like this flat-out idiotic failure in Libya, which our major media doesn't want to talk about:
Lt. Col. Andy Wood was the leader of the 16 member special forces team whose job it was to protect US personnel in Libya. His team’s mission ended in August a month before the deadly Al-Qaeda attack on 9-11. A six member mobile security team was also withdrawn around the same time. This was despite the fact that there were over a dozen attacks in the country this year. Lt. Col. Wood was subpoenaed to appear at a House committee hearing this coming week. Wood told CBS News it was unbelievable to him that the State Department withdrew security when they did because of the 13 security incidents before 9-11.

And we shouldn't forget that these clowns are effing things up in other countries, too.

Tab clearing

while waiting for the barrel to soak, after having stripped the slide to check EVERYTHING:
A picture of a Kerry bog slide
That's a big piece of territory on the move

However, the reality is that we would have a far safer society if “Only The Criminals Had Guns.”
Fair warning: I think I lost some brain cells just reading the piece he links to; more on that later after the daze lifts

Found by Uncle: Salami for the troops

Clinton's State Department A: doesn't have answers(that they're willing to give) and B: REALLY doesn't like being asked the questions.

Yes, I also think Romney sucks in some ways: THIS is part of what you'll be helping to elect if you sit the election out.
Note Axelrod has the standard attitude: "This didn't work, so we need to do it harder and MORE!"

Gun Culture 2.0: last times I've been to the range I saw women, families- kids and all- and people of assorted colors; a very good sign that we're winning.  Endangered by the above link.

Anti-gun fundamentalists; it does seem to fit

Why should civilians own military-grade weapons and be proficient in their use? To make sure the various governments of the United States (federal, state, or local) face the credible threat of lethal force from the civilian population, so that there will cannot be the wholesale slaughter of innocents by the government on these shores.

This need didn’t end in 1781 when Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown, or in 1865 when Lee surrendered to Grant at Appomattox, or in 1946 when the McMinn County Sheriff’s Department surrendered in Athens, Tennessee.

As long as men dream of lording over other men, civilians must have military-grade small arms.

"Oh no you don't!"
(dammit, effing Blogger keeps not adding videos, if I can find the thing again I'll try to add it in)

And last, they don't mind Obama not saluting the flag, but think you should pledge yourself to him

She seeks it here, she seeks it there,

she finds it nearly everywhere: Naomi Wolf has turned the vagina into the Scarlet Pimpernel.
(when you can start with a quote like that, there's a lot to point to)

The blockbuster news contradicted the line the State Department and the administration had been pushing since the horrible tragedy took place almost two weeks ago: that there was no intelligence of a coming attack. In fact, the Ambassador himself was aware of a persistent high level threat against him.

“Perhaps the real question here,” CNN responded to the State Department criticism, “Is why is the State Department now attacking the messenger.”
That's not even at question we KNOW why: protect Clinton from the consequences of the screwups.

Obama claiming responsibility?  He is getting desperate.  Oh, Mr. President?  On that 'change the tone' thing?  Saying "I won" and expecting everyone to roll over for you, that didn't help.

Mr. Wu offered some unsolicited advice: Why not set up an oversight board of regional experts or serious YouTube users from around the world to make the especially tough decisions?
Oh, yeah, an oversight board of regional experts.... Isn't that what you want? Panels of regional experts bearing down on the free speech we have through private internet services like YouTube?
I don't know 'bout you, but the idea of an oversight board deciding what I can say/hear/watch, that does not give me warm fuzzies.

Why has this horrid and sordid tale not raised more outrage in the Hispanic community? You and I know why. The media and the Hispanic leadership are so in bed with the Democrats that they have stifled this story.

Bottom line, the Obama misadministration has murdered hundreds of Mexicans to make a political point, and gotten away with it. Yes, the DOJ and the ATF have gotten away with mass murder in Mexico, and, by the way, Hillary Clinton has nothing to say in response
.

Some very nice lamps; wonderful what LEDs are being used for, and the way they work.  25 hours of light off four AA batteries beats hell out of 'a couple of hours, then throw in some new ones'.

Officer Anonymous, should I feel safe around you and hope you are a sane person, knowing that you consider yourself empowered by law to approach me at any time with gun drawn despite the lack of any probable cause whatsoever? If you made me nervous and I ‘approached you with gun drawn,’ would you consider that reasonable behavior on my part?
I didn’t think so. F*ck you, Officer Anonymous. Glad we could have this discussion.

I'll have more to say on a couple of these things later; right now I need to rig up the hangers for the guitar

The memory hole doesn't work as well nowadays

On Wednesday September 12, 2012 blogger Speak With Authority discovered that five days before 9-11, the US State Department sent out a memo announcing no credible security threats against the United States on the anniversary of 9-11.

The Overseas Security Advisory Council, who posted the memo, is part of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security under the U.S. Department of State.
...
But now it’s gone.
The State Department scrubbed the letter from its OSAC website.

The damning memo is gone.
How convenient. They flushed the damning memo down the internet memory hole
.
Screen grabs at the link; brings back the warning that "If you find anything interesting/damning/damaging, get a screenshot NOW, before they decide to make it go away."
