The family of John Crawford, a Walmart customer gunned down seemingly without warning by Beavercreek, Ohio police this past summer, is filing a federal civil rights lawsuit on his behalf.
That one would deal with the officer who shot him, apparently without warning, and then lied about why he fired.
Beavercreek police have tried to claim that Crawford was shot when he refused to listen to repeated commands, and then turned towards officers in an aggressive manner.
Those claims run counter to video cameras that captured the shooting, which showed officer Williams “slicing the pie” with an AR-15 as he turned a corner, then shooting Crawford virtually on sight. Crawford never turned until bullets struck his body.
However, something also needs to be done about Detective Rodney Curd, who appears to be a sorry bastard all on his own.

The new group, which claims to be non-partisan, will work to push new gun restrictions at the state level. But the coalition has one major problem – they will not let anyone know who they are.
ASLGVP boasts having 200 members from all 50 states but the group will not release a list of their membership, due to a fear of “political backlash.” So, outside of the eight members that participated in the inaugural press conference, no one knows who is or is not a member of this group. We are not witnessing a “Profiles in Courage” moment here.

Short version: "We skipped classes and studying to loot and bu- to protest about Ferguson and such, so it's not fair we should fail our tests!" Response from school: "Bullshit."
