'The race problem in Cuba persists'
No kidding?
I mean, really, a bunch of celebrities have all told us it's WONDERFUL there! Next thing you tell me is that Cuban medical care isn't all that gre- oh, wait...
History; we don't know as much as we tend to think we do.
As University of Aarhus’s Vandkilde puts it: “It’s an army like the one described in Homeric epics, made up of smaller war bands that gathered to sack Troy”—an event thought to have happened fewer than 100 years later, in 1184 B.C.E. That suggests an unexpectedly widespread social organization, Jantzen says. “To organize a battle like this over tremendous distances and gather all these people in one place was a tremendous accomplishment,” he says.
So far the team has published only a handful of peer-reviewed papers. With excavations stopped, pending more funding, they’re writing up publications now. But archaeologists familiar with the project say the implications are dramatic. Tollense could force a re-evaluation of the whole period in the area from the Baltic to the Mediterranean, says archaeologist Kristian Kristiansen of the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. “It opens the door to a lot of new evidence for the way Bronze Age societies were organized,” he says.
For example, strong evidence suggests this wasn’t the first battle for these men. Twenty-seven percent of the skeletons show signs of healed traumas from earlier fights, including three skulls with healed fractures. “It’s hard to tell the reason for the injuries, but these don’t look like your typical young farmers,” Jantzen says.
A popular shopkeeper was stabbed to death by another Muslim in a "religiously prejudiced" attack hours after posting an Easter message on Facebook to "my beloved Christian nation".
Asad Shah, 40, a devout Muslim originally from the Pakistani city of Rabwah, had his head stamped on during a savage attack, according to one eyewitness.
But saying something online about some Muslims being rather bad people will have Scotland Yard at the door to arrest you.

Then again, it's hard for the security and intel agencies
to get the
resources they need when the commander-in-chief spends barely a minute addressing the Brussels attack, and adjourns to a baseball game with
Raul Castro.
Seems Biden gave another speech, much later than the one he keeps saying Republicans 'out of context, misread, distorted'; And he went right along with Sen. Byrd:
There is no stipulation in the Constitution as to how the Senate is to express its advice or give its consent. President Bush incorrectly -- incorrectly -- maintains that each nominee for a federal judgeship is entitled to an up or down vote. The Constitution does not say that. I say the Constitution itself does not say that each nominee is entitled to an up or down vote. The Constitution doesn’t say that, it doesn’t even say that there has to be a vote with respect to the giving of its consent. The Senate can refuse to confirm a nominee simply by saying nothing and doing nothing.
...
Two days later, Byrd's speech was also heavily quoted, lavishly praised, and included in full in the printed version of a prolix (13,000+ word), 90-minute floor speech by Senator Joe Biden.
3). A terrorist event is not a self- defense shooting. I cannot understand why so many who should know better insist of treating an event like this…like the Charly Ebdo, the Paris Attack, the Mali Attack, the Jakarta Attack, the San Bernardino Attack…and now Belgium like it was a mugger in a parking lot. Once the bad guys open the game, in an event like this you are permitted to take it to any level of violence you wish without any concerns of legality or liability. Say nothing at all…make no announcements…keep calm and shoot them in the face. If you don’t think you can do that, then please get on the ground and out of the way of those who will at least try.

Biden’s entire speech was devoted to the issue at the center of the
debate over the Garland nomination. Since he attached so much
significance to it, he prepared by seeking the counsel of a panel of
Constitutional scholars. Biden declared it was “one of the most
important” speeches of his 32-year Senate career.

As I said, he gave that interview on Monday - the day before the attacks.
As I said, he gave that interview on Monday - the day before the attacks. So "British Muslims Fear Repercussions Over Tomorrow's Train
Bombing" is now joined by "Belgian Cabinet Minister Says Tomorrow's
Train Bombing Is All Our Fault".
So "we" have to work on it. That means you, the Flemish frequent flyer poking your head up from the rubble at the airport concourse. And you, the Walloon strap-hanger blinking into the dust and chaos and wondering where the lower part of your left leg went. You are going to "have to work on" it, harder and harder and harder.

Yes, our President is a marxist;
anybody surprised? Really?
In his Tuesday address to the Cuban people, Obama declared that the communist takeover that led to the Castros’ 57-year dictatorship was a “liberation movement,” same as America’s 1776 revolution. Obama’s well-known for his false equivalencies, but this one stands out for its idiocy.
Well, you've got two choices: he's a marxist, or a friggin' idiot.
Speaking of friggin' idiots, this one runs a university. And is sucking up to the whiny bitches who want to control the place.
The messages horrified many students on campus, who complained to Wagner's office that they felt intimidated and unsafe. In response, Wagner tepidly endorsed the perpetrator's free speech rights while making every effort to assuage the offended students' fears.
But that's not the end of the story: Wagner also announced that he would review security footage in hopes of identifying the perpetrators and subjecting them to the "conduct violation process," according to The Emory Wheel. If the perpetrators are not students, trespassing charges will be filed.
All the while claiming "We support free speech!" Right.
And then we have Amherst:
The accuser is always a victim.
The accused is always guilty.
Any evidence to the contrary of either point is to be ignored. Or disregarded.
I hope he winds up owning the idiots in charge of this place.

At what point does she get arrested
and/or fined? Yes, dumbass, abusing 911 is a crime, no matter how special and unsafe you feel.
Government-run health care: where the patients don't count,
and the employees can get away with anything.
A Department of Veterans Affairs employee in Puerto Rico was fired after being arrested for armed robbery, but her union quickly got her reinstated — despite a guilty plea — by pointing out that management’s labor relations negotiator is a registered sex offender, and the hospital’s director was once arrested and found with painkiller drugs…
...
The union’s position — that another employee committed a crime and got away with it, so this one should, too — has been upheld by the highest civil service rules arbiters, and has created a vicious Catch-22 where the department’s prior indefensible inaction against bad employees has handcuffed it from taking action now against other scofflaws.
A vet can't get a damned appointment, vets DIE waiting to be seen, but the VA and the union make sure thieves and robbers and molesters don't have to worry about their jobs...

Happily, cops don't always get away with theft under color of law
7th Circuit calls bullshit(in proper courtly terms).
And note this for when someone says "The dog alerted on it!":
A drug-sniffing dog supposedly alerted to the van, on the strength of which police obtained a warrant to search the vehicle, and a second dog supposedly alerted to the safe, but no drugs were found in either place, and "the government did not submit to the court any evidence of the dogs' training, methodology, or field performance."
More fake alert from two dogs. Gee, I wonder how that could happen...

I'm not sure how, but I seem to have lost
my earplugs. Which sucks. Yes, I can get a new set, but besides the PITA, it really pisses me off that I don't know what happened to them.
I hadn't heard of Juan Meraz;
it appears a hispanic saying unkind things about blacks gets a huge break. Apparently the OBLM people have problems getting the daily hate going against someone who's not white.
Did a little digging; considering what he said and did, if a white anything on campus had done the same it'd have been national news, but I found remarkably little about this.
As for the Choctaw Nation, the tribe released a statement saying that it “desires the best for this Choctaw child.”
The statement continues, “The tribe’s values of faith, family and culture are what makes our tribal identity so important to us. Therefore we will continue to work to maintain these values and work toward the long-term best interest of this child.”
Yeah. Demonstrated by ripping this kid from the only family it's ever known, because it has less than 2% Choctaw blood.
You bastards.
And while The Lightbringer was kissing Castro ass and posing in front of Che, the JV team struck again.
And there's those Marines put back into Iraq, and who knows who all else that the idiots in DC won't talk about. You'd almost think it would've been better to keep them there in the first place...

Big win in the People's Republic of MA
Borrowing from Chris at Anarchangel,
"if the fundamental right of self-defense does not protect Caetano, then the safety of all Americans is left to the mercy of state authorities who may be more concerned about disarming people than about keeping them safe"
-- Samuel Alito, writing in concurrence with Caetano v. Massachusetts
...
Although Caetano was specifically about the ridiculius Massachusetts ban on stun guns, in its plain language... no interpretation required... the decision makes clear that states cannot arbitrarily classify as "uniquely dangerous or unusual", any weapons which are useful for all lawful purposes including lawful self defense, or which are in common use.
It also specifically, explicitly, and completely, demolishes the notion that because a weapon was not available or common at the time of the 2nd amendments ratification, or whenever a particular law was passed; that such weapons could be legitimately banned, when they become available or common in future.
This establishes a foundation for overturning things like the so called "assault weapons bans" in the eight states which currently have them, as well as preventing future federal bans.
And, be it noted, it was a UNANIMOUS decision from the Supremes. That is huge(as huge as all nine justices ruling that the 2nd refers to 'a preexisting individual right', which is why leftists and hoplophobes don't like that to be brought up); from Larry Correia on Bookface,
So that whole dumb argument about how the 2nd Amendment only applies to muskets you anti-gun mopes have been trying to use for decades? Well, that was so idiotic that even Ruth Bader Ginsberg was embarrassed for you.
More on the huge from Chris:
Gura is gonna have an utter field day with this...
It essentially destroys so called assault weapons bans, magazine restrictions, ammunition restrictions... All are in common use for self defense all over the country, and a single state trying to say otherwise... done and done.
Lots of clowns in places like Chicago and New York are going to have screaming fits over this.
More from over at Say Uncle from the decision:
The Court has held that the Second Amendment ex- tends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute bearable arms, even those that were not in existence at the time of the founding, District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U. S. 570, 582 (2008), and that this Second Amend- ment right is fully applicable to the States, McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U. S. 742, 750 (2010). In this case, the Su- preme Judicial Court of Massachusetts upheld a Massa- chusetts law prohibiting the possession of stun guns after examining whether a stun gun is the type of weapon contemplated by Congress in 1789 as being protected by the Second Amendment. 470 Mass. 774, 777, 26 N. E. 3d 688, 691 (2015).
Alito and Thomas* wrote an opinionbefore he died, more from it at Reason:
"The Commonwealth of Massachusetts was either unable or unwilling to do what was necessary to protect Jaime Caetano, so she was forced to protect herself," Alito wrote. "To make matters worse, the Commonwealth chose to deploy its prosecutorial resources to prosecute and convict her of a criminal offense for arming herself with a nonlethal weapon that may well have saved her life. The Supreme Judicial Court then affirmed her conviction on the flimsiest of grounds." According to Alito, "if the fundamental right of self-defense does not protect Caetano, then the safety of all Americans is left to the mercy of state authorities who may be more concerned about disarming people than about keeping them safe."
Which is exactly what the PROMs and New York and Californicated are up to. Remember that bit about screaming fits? They'll be heard from both coasts, as well as a few places in the middle.
One other thing: there was also a ruling on a case by OK and NB against the marijuana law in Colorado that went for Colorado.
They argued that Colorado's law violates the federal Controlled Substances Act, which treats marijuana as a dangerous drug and forbids its sale or use. They urged the Supreme Court to take up the issue as an "original" matter and declare that Colorado's law was preempted by the federal drug laws.
Which brought up a comment from someone:
As an added bonus, this ruling could undermine lawsuits by places like Chicago or NYC complaining that states without unconstitutional gun laws harm them by undermining their own unconstitutional gun laws...
*shouldn't have left Thomas out, and yes, I got Scalia and Alito mixed up

This is bullshit, and the Choctaw Tribe can kiss my ass
Six-year-old Lexi has only ever know Summer and Rusty Page as her parents.
But any day now the Santa Clara, California, child could be legally ripped from her loving foster home despite Rusty and Page's fight to keep her with them.
Lexi is one-and-a-half per cent Choctaw Native American.
Because of the 'Indian Child Welfare Act' - a federal law passed in the 1970's aimed to protect the best interests of Native American children - she must live with Native American parents.
Choctaw Tribe says
'The Choctaw Nation desires the best for this Choctaw child.
'The tribe's values of faith, family and culture are what makes our tribal identity so important to us.
'Therefore we will continue to work to maintain these values and work toward the long-term best interest of this child,' it said.
Except
The Choctaw tribe has decided to place Lexi with extended non-blood relatives in Utah, who are not Native Americans and will not be living on the reservation.
You miserable, shitbrained bastards. You don't suck; you would have to WORK HARD to rise to the level of sucking.

I guess this doesn't count as 'boots on the ground'
in Obamaworld.
Wonder how many bodies will have to pile up before it does?
Of course, all the people who'll lose jobs over this won't be considered a bad thing in Obamaworld. After all, what's a bunch of miners becoming unemployed count when Obama can play "I'm on the right side of history!" ?
Zuckerbitch meets with the PRC propaganda chief; anybody surprised?

Yes, there are bad cops(too many) who should have the badge taken away
from them; they disgrace it. That doesn't mean all are bad, or that because a suspect who dies was black that it was automatically because of 'RACISM!'. Or that being listed as 'unarmed' means they weren't a threat.
It's been said that the War On Drugs has done at least as much damage to this country as the drugs; the OBLM clowns, and the racists in politics who ignore all the deaths of blacks at the hands of other blacks except when they think they can use it politically, has done more damage to black communities than the KKK could. Can you imagine the delight of those bastards at the numbers of blacks killed in drive-bys, the straight-up murders, the glorification of gangs? But the REAL concern, according to the idiots, is white cops(well, ALL whites, but let's shorten the list to the most-guilty according to them). But if you bring that up, you get the standard "You're a racist!" from the idiots. Because bringing up data that conflicts with the Preferred Narrative™ is not to be allowed.
Yeah, the Canadian health system is GREAT, right?
This edition of Waiting Your Turn indicates that, overall, waiting times for medically necessary treatment have not improved since last year. Specialist physicians surveyed report a median waiting time of 18.3 weeks between referral from a general practitioner and receipt of treatment—slightly longer than the 18.2 week wait reported in 2014. This year’s wait time is 97% longer than in 1993 when it was just 9.3 weeks.
...
There is also a great deal of variation among specialties. Patients wait longest between a GP referral and orthopae-dic surgery (35.7 weeks), while those waiting for radiation oncology begin treatment in 4.1 weeks.
...
Patients also experience significant waiting times for various diagnostic technologies across the provinces. This year, Canadians could expect to wait 4.0 weeks for a computed tomography (CT) scan, 10.4 weeks for a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan, and 4.0 weeks for an ultrasound.
Great, isn't it? No wonder people keep insisting I'm lying about its wonders when I point out they have real problems.
Just to add to this, someone sent me this link from a British news site on hospitals there:
* as well as 43 people who starved to death, 287 people were recorded by doctors as being malnourished when they died in hospitals;
* there were 558 cases where doctors recorded that a patient had died in a state of severe dehydration in hospitals;
* 78 hospital and 39 care home patients were killed by bedsores, while a further 650 people who died had their presence noted on their death certificates;
* 21,696 were recorded as suffering from septicemia when they died, a condition which experts say is most often associated with infected wounds.
...
"These are people's mothers, fathers, and grandparents," she said. "It is hard enough to lose a loved one, but to find out that they died because they were not adequately fed or hydrated, is a trauma no family should have to bear."
There's more. Remember, this is the system that Obama & Co. said we should emulate because 'it works so well'.
It's been said that the War On Drugs has done at least as much damage to this country as the drugs; the OBLM clowns, and the racists in politics who ignore all the deaths of blacks at the hands of other blacks except when they think they can use it politically, has done more damage to black communities than the KKK could. * 78 hospital and 39 care home patients were killed by bedsores, while a further 650 people who died had their presence noted on their death certificates;

It sucks.
While back, neighbor who can't deal with it had some good-sized limbs come down in the ice storm. So, in better weather, I went over with the puzzle and cut the stuff from 3" up to suitable size, and stacked it. Planned to get more.
Then the weather went south for a while. Then I fell on the knee. Finally the weather was decent, so took the pole saw and the puzzle over, took some damaged limbs down, cut them up and added to the stack
Yesterday friend was finally able to get by and we filled the back of her Explorer. This morning she made it back and we did it again, which took about 3/4 of what was cut. Later I went back over and cut up more of the downed stuff, and stacked a bunch of the smaller stuff out of the way.
Not that much actual labor, right? Tell that to the body; I'm dragging like I'd been chased around a workout track by a maniac with a club all day.
Yes, getting old sucks. In multiple ways.

Considering how hard they worked before to hide
just who was committing most of the rapes, and assaults on police and so forth, how bad is it that they're doing this and admitting why?
The city of Östersund in central Sweden has decided to cancel its participation in Saturday’s Earth Hour because of the increased rape risk when streets are dark.
Earth Hour is an annual event where people turn off electricity for one hour to conserve energy. Östersund usually turns off its street lighting, but has decided to keep it lit due to a spree of sexual assaults.
...
Fourteen cases of sexual assault have been reported in Östersund since January. The attacks are carried out by both young immigrant gangs and lone-wolf perpetrators, according to descriptions from the victims.
Throw in how pissed more and more people are at being called names and threatened when they dare to speak about it. Must be getting very damned tense.
No, Trump is not big on the 2nd Amendment. Or stopping illegal immigration. He just says he is because it plays well.
More recently, while conservatives were fighting the Gang of Eight amnesty bill and Obama’s sanctuary nation policies, Trump donated $6,000 to Kamala Harris, the California attorney general who is, perhaps, one of the most notorious supporters of sanctuary cities in the country. In 2014, his daughter, Ivanka, also cut a $2,000 check to the queen of sanctuary cities. That was after Harris championed the despicable Trust Act, which turned the entire state of California into a sanctuary for illegals.
...
And Trump’s $2,500 donation to then-Mayor Gavin Newsom in 2009 was after he declared the following:
And as Chris also notes about Harris:
You know, the most anti-gun attorney general in the country?
The one who is currently conducting door to door gun seizures in California?
And who has Trump's support. But we can trust him. Sure.
Well, Click, if this is true then you were incompetent to hold that position in the first place. Now go away, you vile bitch.
From the asshat who thought Obama would be a great ruler because "I like the crease in his trousers."

Between cutting a bunch of wood yesterday,
helping load a bunch of it today, and it being cold outside, it's time to stay warm and get back to studies
"the violence of well-intentioned governments" can convert "dearth into famine."
Line I hadn't heard before, but it covers the point nicely. In this case about Ireland.
Far from allowing the market to work, England launched a massive program of government intervention, consisting mainly of building workhouses, most completed just prior to the onset of the Famine.
Earlier, the Irish Poor Inquiry had rejected the workhouse as a solution to poverty. In the report, Archbishop Whately — attacked today for his free-market stand — argued that the solution to poverty is investment and charity, but these "radical" findings were rejected by the English who threw out the report and appointed George Nicholls to write a new one.
The workhouses, an early version of New Deal make-work programs, only made the problem of poverty worse. A system of extensive public works required heavy taxation on the local economy. The English officials directed money away from projects that would increase productivity and agricultural output into useless road building.

Why do more and more people not trust cops?
Because they do crap like this and get away with it.
Why do I say 'get away with it'?
Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police spokesman, said Chief Robert White views each incident case by case "and recommends the discipline he feels is appropriate."
Which is bullshit. I doubt CO is any different from OK, which would mean accessing state databases for non-LE purposes is a CRIME, not 'slap him on the wrist and say "No, no, bad boy." And, to add to the fun, if they're accessing federal databases, in particular the Interstate Identification Index, that's a federal crime, also with very specific punishments. Which it seems Chief White doesn't care about, or people would be getting fired and prosecuted for this.

Something else not to forget about Fast & Furious:
Hundreds of people, including elected officials, law enforcement officers, and even children have been murdered with guns smuggled over the border in Fast and Furious, one of up to ten gun-walking operations being carried out in border states from California to Florida, supplying 20,000 guns to narco-terrorists at precisely the same time that President Barack Obama, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were pushing the infamous 90-Percent Lie in an effort to manufacture an excuse to ban certain firearms.
And NOBODY responsible has been punished. But we can trust the .gov to police itself, sure.
There was a bill to reform the asset-forfeiture mess(I still think 'Theft Under Color Of Law' is the proper name for it), and Sen. Anthony Sykes refused to let it be heard in the Judiciary Committee; now we know why:
Capitol insiders told Red Dirt Report Sykes refused to hear the civil asset forfeiture bill because he wants to befriend law enforcement officials and collect their support for a run at the state Attorney General’s position in 2018.
Gee, isn't that wonderful? "Screw people being screwed out of their property, I want to be Attorney General, and the cops using this can help me!"
So he dodges other legislators, and dodges reporters, and tries to hide himself and what he's doing; just the kind of clown we need as a AG, right?
Anybody surprised the State Department would try to protect their fellow diplomats from being embarrassed by people finding out the crap they're doing?

Connected with ISIS and
illegally in Belgium; this isn't going to help the "Let everybody in!" people at all.
In a preview clip of a Fox News special called “Rising Threats — Shrinking Military,” former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates told Bret Baier that the president went against the advice of the “entire national security team” during the Egyptian coup that ousted the country’s president, Hosni Mubarak, in 2013.
And yet Gates just kept sitting there and taking orders. Which he's now bitching about. Apparently giving up that office was just too much for him.
Remember: NONE of the ATF/FBI/DOJ/Others involved in Gunwalker paid any actual price; none fired, none charged.
But the whistleblowers all got screwed.
The EffingBI needs to be told to go screw itself. Frequently. Because they lie, and cheat, and give us no reason to trust them, then the Director gripes that he can't understand why we don't want to hand them more authority to abuse.
Speaking of the EffingBI:
New findings by law enforcement officials suggest that an FBI agent on the scene of the fatal shooting of Bundy-affiliated protester LaVoy Finicum during a Jun. 26 felony stop might have fired two shots that were not reported, and agents on the scene might have disposed of bullet casings to cover them up.
Can you say 'lying on official reports'? Can you say 'tampering with evidence'? Can you say 'And how many ways does THIS complicate the mess?'
FBI special agent in charge Greg Bretzing announced at a press conference last week, “The question of who fired these shots has not been resolved.” He declined to provide further comment noting that the federal investigation is still underway.
And left to their own devices we'd all be dead and gone before they'd release anything that might tarnish the reputation of the Sacred Bureau. Because that counts most of all.

Nothing is EVER free; they just don't want to believe that
Canadians may like to believe they have access to free health care, but a new report squashes those illusions.
An average Canadian family pays $12,000 per year for health care insurance and those costs have nearly doubled in the last decade, according to a Fraser Institute report.
...
Health care insurance costs are also rising 1.6 times faster than the average Canadian income, the report says, leading Barua to have an issue with the system.
“When health care insurance is growing faster than income, it’s an indication you can’t sustain it,” Barua said.
Now if someone could beat that truth into Sanders and Trumps heads(Clinton doesn't give a damn)...

Yes, Obama has named a Supremes nominee;
and yes, he doesn't like the 2nd Amendment. Anyone surprised?
Yes, if Sanders wins he'll raise taxes. On EVERYBODY, whether he currently wants to admit it or not. And the people who can afford it least will get screwed the worst, while he and his followers keep insisting "You'll be happier in the end!"
Next time someone insists "All we need is more money in education!" wrap this around a cluebat and beat them with it. No amount of money will actually improve schools that are totally screwed, and care more about feelings and esteem than actual teaching.
Researchers at Princeton University compared test results of Americans with their peers in more than 20 advanced economies. The results pointed to an alarming trend, as young workers and students between the ages of 16 and 34 lagged far behind their peers in countries like Japan and Sweden in mathematical understanding and literacy. The report says that the results were even more surprising because millennials “have attained the most years of schooling of any cohort in American history.”
Lots of time in schools means NOTHING if they aren't actually worried about kids LEARNING REAL STUFF.
Young Americans are not only losing ground to their peers overseas. Rising educational attainment in the form of record-breaking college attendance and undergraduate degrees has not led to increased knowledge among adults. Researchers found that current American adults fell short of the literacy of previous generations of Americans.
See above: THE SCHOOLS SUCK.
“The findings also offer a clear caution to anyone who believes that our policies around education should focus primarily on years of schooling or trusts that the conferring of credentials and certificates alone is enough,” it says. “Far too many are graduating high school and completing postsecondary educational programs without receiving adequate skills. If we expect to have a better-educated population and a more competitive workforce, policy makers and other stakeholders will need to shift the conversation from one of educational attainment to one that acknowledges the growing importance of skills and examines these more critically.”
Which will be fought tooth and nail by the people currently in charge, because they don't actually WANT well-educated kids who learn to think; they're not dependent enough, don't take orders well enough.

“You have to look at it from every child’s point of view that was raised in the hood,” said Harris. “You have to understand… how he gonna get his money to have clothes to go to school? You have to look at it from his point-of-view.”
At this point I'd bet the investigation shows he attacked the homeowner, and that's why she shot; but it doesn't matter to the "She didn't have to do that!" clowns; better she be beaten and/or murdered by their little thug than defend herself.
That attitude... "He grew up in the hood, he thinks stealing is how he gets money!" And that's a big damned failure on your part, you miserable human being.
Speaking of idiots, we have the people who'd rather ignore a matter in the name of PC - DEMAND that it be ignored- than deal with it, no matter what.

Not up to commentary, so tab clearing
Underwater excavations of the ancient city of Corinth have uncovered
monumental piers and evidence that the sunken port of Lechaion functioned as a booming trading hub for over a thousand years.
Motivational speaker Eric Thomas made a stop in St. Louis last month. A video of his speech to Vashon High School students going viral after an interruption. Thomas told the students and teachers that is was a symptom of something he only sees when visiting African-American schools.
Environmental Protection Agency officials apparently weren’t willing to “go out on a limb” for Flint, Mich., as it became apparent the city’s water supply had been contaminated with high levels of lead, according to an internal agency memo revealed at a Tuesday congressional hearing.
From Australia, Politically Correct Policing
Some odd things in New Zealand's distant past(I haven't had the time to watch all of it as yet)
This I'll add commentary: treat the prosecutors just like they treat everyone else: "You lied under oath? Charges will be filed. And since you're an officer of the court, and lied in court, disbarment proceeding will begin."

aren't I cool?"
No, you're one more leftist asshat who thinks anything you do is good, because Leftist.
And the Director of the EffingBI wonders why people don't trust them...
Yeah, we shouldn't let the NSA and FBI and IRS and all those other scandals and lawbreaking and privacy invasions bother us, just trust the FBI with the keys to your phone!

“There was nothing unintentional about EPA’s actions with regard to
breaching the mine,” Utah Republican Rep. Rob Bishop told Department of
the Interior (DOI) Secretary Sally Jewell during a hearing in early
March. “They fully intended to dig out the plug and breach it.”
...
It’s also unclear why EPA decided to breach a mine they suspected to be pressurized without the proper equipment. Workers failed to bring a pump and a special drain pipe the day the mine was breached.
Isn't this a nice thing to read during a freaking war?
Army Gen. Joseph Votel is expected to take over as the head of U.S. Central Command later this month, and he’ll be leading the military campaign against ISIS at a troubled time for his own organization.
In interviews, half a dozen current and former officials have described the environment at CENTCOM headquarters as “toxic” and “hostile” owing to a long-simmering dispute over whether political influence was brought to bear on intelligence analysts whose job is to objectively assess the strength of ISIS and the effects of the U.S.-led efforts to destroy the group.

Hey, all you good union members with your dues supporting Democrats:
Happy?
The Lightbringer has put Deity-knows-how-many miners out of work, and people who work at coal-fired powerplants, and Hillary is promising to do even more. And your unions supported them.

It's downright pleasant outside, and this week looks good;
I am not fooled. This is Oklahoma; I've seen the last of March/first of April downright summery, and damn cold and spitting sleet. There's usually- not always, but usually- a last freeze between now and early April, which means you have to be ready to cover up some stuff in the garden. 'Cause sometimes that early-spring wind sweeping down the plain starts somewhere in the Arctic.

While some people are frantically checking serial numbers,
and there's probably a few who desperately wish they could cover this up...
Serbia's authorities are investigating reports that a cargo package bound for Portland contained two missiles with explosive warheads on a passenger flight from Lebanon.
N1 television said the package with two guided armor-piercing missiles was discovered Saturday by a sniffer dog after an Air Serbia flight from Beirut landed at a Belgrade airport.
Serbian media say documents listed the final destination for the AGM-114 Hellfire missiles as Portland. The American-made projectiles can be fired from air, sea or ground platforms against multiple targets.
Two Hellfires. So not only are they wondering where the hell they originated from, and where they SHOULD be, but how long has somebody had them, and how much info did they get from the guidance systems and so forth.
This is Very Not Good.

'Accident' my ass;
this waste of oxygen did it deliberately.
According to state troopers, Zirkle was about five miles downriver from Koyukuk headed for Nulato when her dog sled was first hit on “the side by a snow machine and the snow machine turned around multiple times and came back at her before driving off.”
Those reports said the machine then went on down the river but later returned and approached her again about 12 miles out of Nulato. This time it aimed its headlight at her and revved its engine, but left without incident. Not long after, troopers allege the machine hit King's team from behind, killing the one dog and injuring five others, two seriously.
"I was drinking, accident, didn't know I'd done anything", bullshit. And of course the family rallies around him after 'this terrible accident'.
Said waste of oxygen is Arnold Demoski. He'll probably get some jail time; the somewhat more attractive suggestions I've heard included staking him out for the bears or throwing him in the water and not letting him get to any shelter. Assuming he gets out of the water.
Proving, once again, that there is nothing these idiots cannot try to screw up. Apparently they've decided sending the FDA SWAT team to raid people for milk causes too much noise and bad publicity, so...
As I've detailed for years, the FDA's proposed FSMA rules would have forced small farmers "to adopt onerous, expensive, and unnecessary farming practices and procedures" that included "tough new regulations for using organic fertilizer," including compost and manure.
Pushback from small farmers and their supporters around the country forced the FDA to reconsider the worst of the proposed FSMA rules. Reconsider the agency did. And now they're back, beating the same drum.
Yes, the FDA is full of shit; doesn't mean the know what the hell they're doing on the subject of manure.
MO is making a change in their SYG law, and the usual suspects are, once again, losing their shit.
Now add to that a “stand your ground” law that says anyone who feels threatened, no matter where he is, can shoot to kill. No longer would he have a legal duty to try to avoid confrontation, much less try to determine if a threat was real. He could shoot first and ask questions later.
What change is causing this?
Yes, the actual law will be expanded to include the ability to defend yourself anywhere as long as you are being a good citizen. Nowhere in the actual law or proposed changes one can find the annulment of other basic tenets to claim self-defense: Innocence, Imminence, Proportionality and Reasonableness. Yet the Editorial Board at the St. Louis Compost-Dispatcher make it sound as if you will be allowed to kill anybody that looks crossed at you because you got the last cold can of soda from the store.
And just how much can you trust this newspaper?
Not at all, it seems.
Obama wants every company to make ways for LE to get into phones and e-mail. Because Safety! is the excuse, which is bullshit:
U.S. President Barack Obama on Friday made a passionate case for mobile devices to be built in such a way as to allow government to gain access to personal data if needed to prevent a terrorist attack or enforce tax laws.
Standard socialist "You should not be able to have secrets from the State!" crap.
My, how careful they are about their slaves before they rape them...
Speaking of 'full of shit', "We had nothing to do with it, it's all Trump's fault!"

A study at Texas A&M University found that “stand your ground laws” do nothing to promote public safety and increase homicides by 8 percent. The study found that victims are disproportionately African-American.First, given Missouri’s history with Jim Crow’s laws, specially when applied so Blacks could not be armed, this is just pure hypocrisy. Plus the data from Florida has shown that Blacks are also the biggest beneficiary of SYG. Second, the link they provide does not go to a study by Texas A&M but a paper published by Everytown for Gun Safety, Michael Bloomberg’s pet Gun Control group.
Jerry the Geek reminded me of this crap
the PROM tried to pass a few years ago; same kind of crap pops up again every so often from the control freaks:
This legislation would require ammunition manufacturers to engrave a serial number on “the base of the bullet and the inside of the cartridge casing of each round” of ammunition for popular sporting caliber center-fire rifles, all center-fire pistols, all .22 rimfire rifles and pistols, and all 12 gauge shotguns.
This “Encoded Ammunition” legislation essentially amounts to bullet and cartridge case registration. If enacted, it would mean forfeiture of currently owned ammunition; a separate registration for every box of new ammunition; outrageously expensive ammunition costs for police and private citizens alike; and a waste of taxpayer money that could be better spent on effective police programs.
Remember, when you boil it down this crap is never really about crime or 'effective police programs': it's about control.
