Yeah, there are actual consequences to your "For Cecil!" bullshit

As a mental exercise, let us take fifty thousand US dollars (plus all the other money, noted above), multiply that number by two hundred lions, and see how much money the bunny-huggers and the spine-less, knee-jerk politicians and bureaucrats have kept out of the mouths of starving Zimbabweans and the game reserve.
That's right, Tofu Breath:  those game parks you're dotting your cupcakes over?  A large percentage of their budget and operating capital comes right out of the wallets of hunters.

In one fell swoop -- over one idiot furry predator -- you've not only managed to take the food right out of the mouths of the families that have come to rely upon it, but you've also managed to make a significant dent in the operating capital of the park itself.

But the enviroweenies will still run around feeling virtuous; and that's more important than damage to the park and black people in Africa starving, isn't it?

Wonderful: be a 9/11 conspiritard, and "The JOOOS did it!" moron, and the head of the university defends your freedom to speak; be a conservative wanting to speak on other campuses...

Wow.  Progress, indeed.
The Defense Minister Eleuterio Fernández Huidobro, is in favor of the population is armed to defend even the government.
“For me, gun ownership is an attribute of freedom”
This is amazing for Latin America. That a major government official, the minister of Defense no less would come out and assert armed population is like Sarah Brady coming back from the death, getting a concealed weapons permit and go on a shopping binge at her local Gun Store.

Why would the feds seizing more control over education be a problem?

Just because of people like Arne Duncan and actions like this?
Well, YES.

Someone went to Africa on safari and shot a lion.  Usual idiotic 'the poor kitty!' noise erupts.  FTF covers it fairly well:

Hmmm, why might Seattle PD and DHS not want to answer questions about this?
The SPD declined to answer more than a dozen questions from The Stranger, including whether the network is operational, who has access to its data, what it might be used for, and whether the SPD has used it (or intends to use it) to geo-locate people's devices via their MAC addresses or other identifiers.

Seattle Police detective Monty Moss, one of the leaders of the mesh-network project—one part of a $2.7 million effort, paid for by the Department of Homeland Security—wrote in an e-mail that the department "is not comfortable answering policy questions when we do not yet have a policy." But, Detective Moss added, the SPD "is actively collaborating with the mayor's office, city council, law department, and the ACLU on a use policy." The ACLU, at least, begs to differ: "Actively collaborating" is not how they would put it. Jamela Debelak, technology and liberty director of the Seattle office, says the ACLU submitted policy-use suggestions months ago and has been waiting for a response.

Also from RNS,
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and his administration took steps late Wednesday to strip food stamp benefits from those who loaded up their shopping carts knowing they had insufficient funds in their Electronic Benefits Transfer accounts during a system failure in October.

From Mark Steyn:
That’s why I believe America’s belated embrace of government health care is going to be far more expensive and disastrous than the Euro-Canadian models. Whatever one’s philosophical objection to the Canadian health system, it is, broadly, fair: Unless you’re a cabinet minister or a bigtime hockey player, you’ll enjoy the same equality of crappiness and universal lack of access that everybody else does. But, even before it’s up-and-running, Pelosi-Reid-Obamacare is an impenetrable thicket of contradictory boondoggles, shameless payoffs and arbitrary shakedowns.

"OMG!  Owning guns equals SUICIDE!"
Ah, not exactly.

SURPRISE!
Before President Obama’s health reform law went into effect, Americans could deduct out-of-pocket medical costs if they amounted to at least 7.5 percent of the individual’s annual income. Ten million American families save more than $10 billion annually using this deduction, according to IRS and Office of Management and Budget [OMB] figures.

But now under Obamacare, Americans can only deduct out-of-pocket medical costs if they amount to 10 percent of the individual’s income.

Wirecutter has a post from Sara on a proposal to expand a law

over here: short excerpt:
They realized that they bit off more than they could chew. People like their fish tanks. Kids love their hamsters and gerbils and cute little fluffy pets. But snakes? Snakes are an easy way to get your foot in the door. Snakes are scary, and there’s not a large enough group to fight for them. Introduce HR 996. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/hr996/text This is “To establish an improved regulatory process for injurious wildlife to prevent the introduction and establishment in the United States of nonnative wildlife and wild animal pathogens and parasites that are likely to cause harm.” Shouldn’t get anywhere… It’s the same damn thing! But wait! They DID get to pretty much out of nowhere get burmese pythons, african rocks, and yellow anacondas added to the Lacey Act. Remember all those tv blurbs about how burmese pythons were everywhere? They made it look like you couldn’t step outside your door without being attacked by a “GIANT KILLER SNAKE”! Shock and gasp! Yup, boom. US Fish and Wildlife used bad science and got them added. They lied. (again, shock, right?) The pets that people have had for years are no longer allowed across state lines. Get a job somewhere else and move? If you bring your pet that you have had for 15 years, you are breaking a federal law. You’ve got literally thousands of dollars invested in a breeding project? Too bad.

And now they want to make it even easier to add more.

Californicated: Hoplophobes, gun bigots and enviroweenies united

to screw you:
The reason Assemblyman Rendon's bill would effectively end hunting and target shooting in California is very simple: federal law classifies the alternative non-lead ammunitions as "armor piercing." Such alternative ammunition is illegal to import, make or sell unless the bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) grants an exemption on the merit that it is "primarily intended to be used for a sporting purpose." So far, so good, except that the ATF has 20 or so pending manufacturers' exemption requests on their desk that are two years stale. Even if they did grant these exemptions it is important to note that alternative ammunition is more expensive to manufacture and purchase.
...
California hunters, sport shooters and everyday legal gun owners are subject to an 11% excise tax paid on the sale of ammunition and hunting licenses under the provisions of the Pittman-Robertson Act of 1937. Many Californians may be surprised at the fact that these funds are earmarked for the Federal Wildlife Restoration Fund and is a primary source of wildlife conservation funding in the United States. In 2012, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service reported that California received nearly $12.3 million for wildlife restoration and research and was among the top in five state beneficiaries in the nation. Banning traditional ammunition will reduce the amount collected in California through federal excise taxes since ammunition will be scarcer and inflated costs will cause hunters to go to other states, undercutting the conservation money California receives.
But that's far less important than going after gun owners and hunters; screw the animals if they get in the way!

Kevin takes a look at the "Gun ownership is declining!" hopes of the gun bigots.  Short version: They wish.

Ladd Everitt/CSGV Get Their Censorship On

Because when when they keep losing the argument, their next step it to try to shut up the other side.

Connected, from Hanson: Why liberals think what they do

About the dirtbags at TSA:
And there it is — stripped of pretense or dissembling, the core of the TSA's argument: shut the fuck up about us or terrorists will kill your family.

Governments and government minions accrete power through fear. The TSA — like so many other agencies of post-9/11 American government — has been doing it for years; Farbstein just dumbed it down a bit more than they usually do.
And it's necessary to molest your kid and feel you up and humiliate people in public to keep them safe...

Well, when you work with terrorists, you take the chance of them biting you; sucks, don't it, doc?
Based on the documents Dr. Best has submitted, the New Mexico court should probably issue a temporary restraining order against Marino. It appears that she has engaged in true threats, as opposed to mere rhetoric, and that she may pose a genuine physical danger to Dr. Best if she ever comes near him. The rule of law protects even those who scorn it. Just as freedom of expression protects the Phelpses and the Skokie Nazis who would ditch it in a heartbeat if they took power, laws against threats of violence protect even those who sneer at them, like Dr. Best.
But I can't see why anyone either inside our outside of the animal rights movement should ever take Dr. Steven Best seriously again.

Edited to add: Commenter Dan Weber points out this revealing gem:
She has always talked about killing herself, and that she would "take someone out with her"; I now fear that person will not be a medical researcher/vivesector she loathes so intensely, but rather me.
Emphasis, and evidence of sociopathy, in original.
I probably should be bigger than this, but there's always something satisfying when a jerk like this has his tactics turned on him, and he squeals to the people he despises for protection.

From 'roo land, Tim Blair brings the snark

But it’s unfair to criticise our Olympians in isolation. They are but a reflection of the nation as a whole – a nation that just dropped more than $300 million on an Olympic quest currently returning more sobbing fits than medals.

Which brings us back to whales. If whale-weeping were an Olympic event, the Australian team would be carrying more gold than a gangsta rapper’s gob. Show us a dead, dying or doomed whale and we start, well, blubbering at world-record speed.

Our Olympians are the product of a culture given to whale wussiness. We shouldn’t expect our swimmers, for example, to emerge from the pool stern of jaw and clear of eye when the rest of us can’t keep it together every time a stupid humpback rocks up on the beach minus a pulse
.

And on suggested training:
...As Michael Milton declared last week:
“Our athletes are too soft!”
Good call. Paralympian Milton went on to suggest that “we drop our potential gold medallists in the middle of the desert and let them find their way home”, which is the kind of hardcore training regimen you’d expect from someone who has survived a downhill ski run at 213kmh.

On one leg
.

One of his commentaries on Globular Warmering*:
Manne defines “denialists” as “orthodox members of a tightly knit group whose natural disposition is not to think for themselves”.
Yet somehow these drones are easily able to resist the powerful intellects of Manne and his global army of consensus bunnies. It’s a mystery. Maybe they’ll be convinced by the latest from wild-eyed enviropath Bill McKibben:
The planet does indeed have an enemy ... we need to view the fossil-fuel industry in a new light. It has become a rogue industry, reckless like no other force on Earth. …This industry, and this industry alone, holds the power to change the physics and chemistry of our planet, and they’re planning to use it.

Unknown is when the Vulcans or Klingons gifted this physics-changing power to the oil and coal companies.

*I used that term on facebook in an argument once, and was dismissed because "If you can't even spell it right, why should I listen to anything you say?" Having it pointed out that I was using it to laugh at him and the other True Believers didn't help matters at all.

Animal-rights nuts;

they keep bringing the dumbass.

Well, apparently those Brady-approved gun laws aren't doing much good.
And remind me, what party has been running that state/city for, oh, the past few decades?

Just how much does Obama care about the troops? This much.
Isn't that just going to do wonders for morale?
About as much as this request from the Egyptian government; if Obama goes along with this...

My first thought on this is 'Gibson decided that, rather than be screwed around for years by the Dept. of 'Justice', they'll play this game. And it sucks.'

Well, the 'pro-anorexia website' part indicates the stupid

to follow...
The 20-year-old model has become the target of pro-anorexia website SkinnyGossip following her participation in a burger commercial.

Despite shooting sexy images for Carl's Jr. a few months back, the website has suddenly decided to slam the blonde star now by calling her a 'cannibal.'

Which is a perfect excuse for the video

as if I actually needed one. Hey, hot chick and annoy idiots at the same time!

Going to be an interesting Olympics

A white Muslim convert who once worked as a BBC security guard was arrested yesterday over an alleged plot to carry out a major terrorist attack, possibly during the Olympics
One of the suspects spent two years working as a Metropolitan Police community support officer in East London, before leaving the force in May 2009.

and
The al-Qaida branch in the Arabian Peninsula is believed to be planning a terror attack during the Olympic Games in London, scheduled to begin at the end of the month. According to a report in today's Sunday Times, quoting intelligence services, the organization has recruited a Norwegian Muslim convert who was supposed to hijack a U.S. passenger plane and crash it on a suicide mission. It is not clear though that the attack targeted one of the Olympic venues, despite the timing.

And, not related but happening in the same region,
Two British women were arrested yesterday after raids in London and Amsterdam by police probing a blackmail plot by animal rights activists.

A 50-year-old was held in Croydon, South London, while, in a simultaneous dawn swoop in Amsterdam, a second woman, aged 25, was arrested along with a 25-year-old Dutch man. They are also being quizzed over an arson attack.

Further down in the piece is this very interesting thing:
The Dutch National Crime Squad said Britain has maintained a surveillance operation with its assistance on radical animal rights activists in The Netherlands for some time.

These activists routinely go for 'training' in the UK - learning such things as sabotage, mail bomb making and how to target the personnel of companies involved in animal experiments - and return to their homeland as 'sleepers' waiting to be activated for a specific mission
.
Apparently all the "Handguns are banned so it's peaceful in Britain" people are lying to us.

"Oh WHY would anybody want to be armed on campus?!?"

“Recently, an extremist animal activist group known as “Negotiation is Over” has been sighted on our campus. In spite of having received trespass warnings, they were recently sighted handing out fliers offering $100 bounties on the photographs and personal information of students who, like myself, conduct animal research. They have already posted on their website the name, address, home telephone number, and license plate number of a researcher in our department.
Gee, and why would they want pictures and such?
“’Every time a vivisector’s car or home — and, eventually, the abuser him/herself — blows up, flames of liberation light up the sky.’
and,
“’Students also need to understand that making the wrong choice will result in a lifetime of grief. Aspiring scientists envision curing cancer at the Mayo Clinic. We need to impart a new vision: car bombs, 24/7 security cameras, embarrassing home demonstrations, threats, injuries, and fear. And, of course, these students need to realize that any personal risk they are willing to assume will also be visited upon their parents, children, and nearest & dearest loved ones. The time to reconsider is now.’
Well, there's a pretty damn good reason there to be armed.

Have I ever mentioned how much I despise these people? And the clowns who think you're safe from them because "You're on the campus now!"

And in news from the animal rights/vegan moron front,

The former frontman of the Smiths, who is a staunch vegan and animal rights campaigner, drew the comparisons at a concert in Warsaw, Poland, on Sunday where he is currently in the middle of his summer tour.

Before singing Meat is Murder, the 52-year-old British musician told the crowd: “We all live in a murderous world, as the events in Norway have shown, with 97 dead [sic].

"Though that is nothing compared to what happens in McDonald’s and Kentucky Fried s--- every day.”
...
This is not the first time Morrissey has courted controversy. In September last year he was accused of racism after describing the Chinese as a "subspecies". He said he made the comment in relation to what he described as the nation's poor treatment of animals.

Earlier this year the singer also said killing a stag is the same as killing a child and in 2006 he refused to tour Canada in protest at seal hunting.

If you arrest someone and have their camera in your vehicle

it might behoove you to either watch what you're saying or turn it off:
After the women were released without charge, and the camera returned to them, the women discovered the recording of the Garda conversation. This included the Gardaí talking about threatening to rape one of the women in their custody. They also talk about whether they should bother adhering to safety procedures for removing protesters from heights: the Sergeant advocates ignoring the rules learned in Garda training.

So now it's admitted they're studying the possibility of American boots on the ground in Libya*; and the UN is running airstrikes in Ivory Coast. Getting busy as hell blowing things up, aren't they?

I don't remember the idiots name, but a couple of weeks ago some guy with Obama's buttkissers was lecturing people that inflation wasn't a problem because 'you can buy a new iPod that's more capable for the same price as the old model!' and someone replied "You can't eat an iPod."
Fuel and food prices have been defined out of the calculation of “core inflation” by the the Fed. Excluding food and fuel from the accounts means measuring demand in categories for which demand has shrunk because less disposable income is left over. By measuring only non-food and non-fuel prices, policymakers can make the argument that inflation is actually stable or going down.

That may convince the press, but it may not convince the public. Inflation is the one piece of news that the administration’s allies in the media cannot conceal. The daily news from the supermarket cash register speaks, and the gas station is more eloquent than anything that the New York Times can print
.
You noticed higher prices on damn near everything lately? So have I. But Obama says we just need to buy a new car(ever see a President actually shill for a company in a speech before?) and they've rigged the reporting to try to minimize notice of the problem. Wonderful what you can do when the major media has their nose up your ass.

The DHS is involved in microstamping arguments? Especially bad since they don't seem to have a damned idea what they're talking about:
Only semi-automatic handguns can leave micro-stamps: Revolvers cannot because their bullets have no shell casings.
Thanks to Uncle for pointing to this display of ignorance.

Speaking of ignorance, and a general desire to run peoples lives, Orrin Hatch apparently has decided that all that terrorism and crime stuff is under control, so Holder needs to go after porn.

So the animal rights assholes are targeting college students; that's likely to backfire on them. Possibly literally.

I'm going to close this with a demonstration of idiocy and overreaction that's almost breathtaking, especially from Texas. No good way to excerpt from this.

*So far as the military working it out, they pretty much have to; 'ready for anything' and so forth. I'm wondering how much crap Obama is getting for it being openly spoken of?

Saturday, November 27, 2010

I'm going to start with Tam saying

Go piss on an electric fence, hippie.
As a follow on, I especially like this line:
Like Communists before them, they are actively subverting the Constitution and the American Dream, and replacing it with a Kleptocratic Nightmare.
Isn't it nice to have a noisy leftist openly admitting what the commies were/are all about?

Speaking of leftists/enviroweenies/terrorists,
When UCLA neuroscientist J. David Jentsch was a grad student, he never expected his life as an academic would require around-the-clock armed guards, or a closed-circuit TV inside his bedroom so he could keep constant watch over his home.

But the high-powered security proved necessary again this month when the researcher, who experiments on monkeys, opened a letter left in his mailbox to discover razor blades and a death threat.
...
But the 38-year-old professor has been through this before. Last year, he woke up to an orange flash and a car alarm. He ran outside to find his car had been blown up.

Twice a month, animal rights activists in ski masks gather outside his home, chanting "murder." On Halloween, neighborhood trick-or-treaters were handed flyers with images of bloodied animal subjects.

"If you go to the house down the street, there's a monster who lives there," children were told.

Under the heading of Hot Damn!,
Mortars dropped smoke grenades into the enemy bunker to "flush them out" and a few minutes later an American F15 jet screamed down making the first of three strafing runs landing cannon shells 50 yards from the soldiers.

"The rounds were literally snapping over our heads," said Lt Whitlam. "But we are Para Reg so we went forward and finished the job."

Apparently Department of Homeland Security thinks they have terrorism so under control that they can spend time and money screwing with websites for possible copyright infringement;
A: If it's so under control, how the hell did this happen?
B: If they've got this much time and money to spend on crap, then their budget needs cutting.

And finally for this evening, why the palisimians not only don't deserve a state, another reason they should not be considered civilized human beings:
Palestinian officials have condemned the decision by the Israeli government to renovate the Western Wall plaza.

Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said that the Wall is part of occupied eastern Jerusalem and that its historic, cultural, and religious characteristics must not be changed.

PA Deputy Information Minister Al-Mutawakkil Taha stated in a study he published that the Wall is Islamic Waqf and an integral part of Al-Aqsa mosque, that the Jews have no historical religious ties to it, and that not a single stone or grain of soil from it or from the other holy sites can be relinquished
.
Jews have 'no historical or religious ties' to the Western Wall. I wonder if this lying bastard has actually made himself believe this crap, or he's just lying in the good cause of hurting Jews?

We're a step closer to the Slammers

The U.S. Navy has used a a laser weapon to shoot down four unmanned aerial vehicles in a test that rings up memories of Ronald Reagan's "Star Wars" missile defense shield in the 1980s.
There's no specifics- type of laser, wattage, how long it was actually on the drone- but shooting one down is still a step forward. Especially added to this:
The tests were overseen by the Defense Ministry, the Israeli Air Force and the Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. which developed the Iron Dome, slated to become operational and deployed along the Gaza border in the coming weeks.

The missile barrages that the system succeeded in intercepting included a number of rockets that mimicked Kassam and longer-range Grad-model Katyusha rockets that are known to be in Hamas’s arsenal.

Couple of days ago Billy Beck pointed out 'this is not good'; well, it's even not gooder now:
Oakland police have their hands full. In addition to a shootout on the freeway and a police-involved shooting at a BART station, officers are now on the hunt for an apparent sniper trying to take out officers.

"They hear gunshots and can feel the bullets pass by them," police spokesman Officer Jeff Thomason said. "They can hear them whizzing by."

Foreign major media seems to be just as ball-less and PC-at-any-cost as most of ours. Even as the enemy is slowly taking over, they just can't make themselves name the enemy. Found through this post at Chicago Boys.

Flying Pig!

Snork... hehehehehe...
If you wish to go mock a fruitcake at PETA, go here. Hell, if you wish to mock a PETA fruitcake you can stay right here and do it! I’d love to hear your best I screwed with a PETA fruitcake by ________” essays!

I can eat cake any day. This is the only time I can blow one up.
Well, Happy Birthday(delayed), lass.

Yeah, it's just friggin' awful how bad the palisimians in Gaza have it; how do they survive?

And finally,
A: Officer dumbass shouldn't be aiming a weapon at someone so carelessly, and
B: KEEP YOUR DAMNED FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER, DUMBASS!

It seems appropriate to start this morning with the British government

working to make itself somewhat immune to change:
Right now, the prime minister can dissolve Parliament anytime he wants, forcing new elections. He is also obliged to order new elections if he loses a vote of confidence. This power holds the members of his parliamentary majority in check and restrains them from turning on their leaders since, should they succeed in a vote of no confidence, it would plunge them into the uncertainty of a new election, which would imperil their own seats.

The new rules would bar the prime minister from dissolving Parliament during its five-year term and vest that right in a two-thirds majority of parliament. In other words, Parliament would have to vote itself out of office -- something likely never to happen.
...
More dangerous is the proposed new voting system that must be approved by a popular referendum. Rather than vote for one candidate for Parliament in each district, voters will be obliged to rank the candidates in their order of preference. If nobody gets a majority of first-place rankings, the candidate with the least votes drops off and his second place votes are distributed among the other remaining candidates. The Liberal/Social Democrats are pushing this change in the hopes that there may never again be a parliamentary majority for the Conservatives or Labor and that they will always hold the balance of power in a hung parliament
.
Politicians; corrupt bastards the world over.

AG Holder's buddy Clown Shabazz has friends. I'm guessing friends Holder doesn't like us hearing about.

"WE can record YOU anytime we like; but you can't record US or it's jail!" And a possible response.(pointed to by Insty)

Dumbass tourist, extreme level. Apparently the croc wasn't hungry, or he just tasted bad.

The animal rights weenies show their level of- well, I'll refrain from that language for the moment.
Instead of her beloved pet - bought nine years ago after a bad experience at school - there was an empty hutch and a threatening note, apparently from animal rights extremists.

It read: 'This is animal cruelty. Rabbits should not be left in hutches, they should be out in the wild and socialising.'

Yeah, steal a kids pet and turn it loose; that'll turn out well.

You may have heard the NAACP declared itself a bunch of RWPP thugs by passing a resolution accusing the tea party people of being racists. The response in part:
Whereas, the NAACP had an opportunity to preserve some semblance of legitimacy by standing up for Ken Gladney, the victim of a vicious racist battery conducted by a black avowed communist, even labeling him an “Uncle Tom”, but chose instead to use the opportunity to mock the St. Louis Tea Party, and

Whereas, the NAACP has refused to denounce the New Black Panther’s call to murder white cops and their babies, and

Whereas, the NAACP does its entire membership a grave disservice by hypocritically engaging in the very conduct it purports to oppose,

Now therefore be it resolved that the St. Louis Tea Party condemns the NAACP for lowering itself to the dishonorable position of a partisan political attack dog organization, and,

Be it further resolved that the St. Louis Tea Party calls on similar organizations to join in unanimous condemnation of this despicable behavior, and

Be it further resolved that we demand that the NAACP withdrawal their bigoted, false and inflammatory resolution against the tea party for any further consideration, and
...
Read it all.

The corrupt democratic-media complex is alive and well in America.
Here’s more proof…

Mort Zuckerman, the 147th wealthiest American, editor of US News and World Report, and publisher of the New York Daily News, admitted today that he wrote a speech for Barack Obama
.

Voting fraud? By Obama minions? Big surprise, right?
Ace had a bit the other day saying, basically, 'big deal'; Clinton supporters mad because of Team Obama's actions. What pisses me is that these same people, if it were Obama's people doing this to McCain voters, would quietly cheer it, but they just HATE it happening to them.
A bit more on this at Sondra's place.

A couple of things from RNS:
Anyway, he said the vast, vast majority of folks’ incomes along the Gulf Coast are cash-under-the-table. If BP is faced with a claim for compensation from a fellow with a million-dollar-a-year shrimping operation, but he reported a $20,000 income on his tax return, what’s BP to do?
and
$92.86
That is how much your government gladly spent to help to destroy a firearm.

But it didn’t just help to destroy one.

It helped to destroy 1.4 million of them.

And it gave that money to the UN to do the destroying
.

Switzerland: Land of fine chocolates, precision timepieces and child rape.
Or at least great tolerance for child rapists who are celebrities and commit their crime in the US

Finally, Day by Day is running their support drive.

I shall now see if the garden can be worked without my sinking into it.

And just because it's never a bad day to whack on the PETA squirrels,

But Chelsea Handler may not realize that she falls afoul of multiple PETA commandments herself, such as:

* Posing for the December 2009 cover of Playboy in over-the-knee leather boots. (So she got it half right: PETA is cool with nudity, but not with the lambskin.)
* Calling Katsuya in Brentwood her favorite restaurant: “It’s got sushi, and it’s fresh, and the service is great, and I know God loves sushi. He told me once in a dream I had.” (She’s right, by the way — I’ve been to Katsuya in Brentwood and the sushi truly is heaven-sent.)
* Wearing the gorge camel leather Christian Louboutin Pique Platform Sandals to the launch of her latest book on March 17.

And finally, Chelsea’s food diary from her book, Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea:

FRIDAY

Breakfast: Scrambled egg whites with spinach and jack cheese

Lunch: Chicken Caesar salad

Dinner: 2 crab enchiladas and 2 margaritas

And so on.

By the way, I take objection to the line Now granted, Kelly Bensimon is a hypocrite in her own right. thrown in because this Bensimon both wears fur and says she likes animals; unless Bensimon calls herself an animal-rights wacko or a vegan or whatever, there's nothing 'hypocritical' about it. May seem a nice throwaway like to make the libs happy, but it's bullshit.

Looks like another nice day out there,

so I'll get the nasties out of the way:
So the Obama Administration and the animal rights weenies want to stop fishing. Pretty much ALL fishing, including you casting a line with the kids or grandkids or scout troop or whatever.
“Now we see NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) and the administration planning the future of recreational fishing access in America based on a similar agenda of these same groups and other Big Green anti-use organizations, through an Executive Order by the President. The current U.S. direction with fishing is a direct parallel to what happened in Canada with hunting: The negative economic impacts on hard working American families and small businesses are being ignored.

Yeah, they REALLY believe Afghanistan needs to be won, don't they? Actually, for them, just another chance to make us lose, and another chance to stab the troops in the back.

Ok, which is it: Milwaukee PD just didn't care about vote fraud, or the fix was in?
Milwaukee police officers sat on their hands for months last year instead of investigating possible voter fraud cases from the 2008 general election.

It’s an incredible claim, but it’s coming from a credible source:

Assistant District Attorney Bruce Landgraf, the Milwaukee County prosecutor responsible for overseeing campaign and election issues.

“Honestly, the Milwaukee Police Department largely ignored your double voter (and other) referrals received in January 2009 for the first six months of 2009,” Landgraf wrote in an e-mail to a city elections official on Jan. 26.
