Why is it the people who yell "RACIST!" the most
do the most hanging around with racists?
"...but for China, there was either some sort of misunderstanding or the country intentionally caused a scene."
Intentionally. The wanted to see how far they could push.

Hey, guess what? Those slimeball fascists (link fixed)
are even slimier than we knew!
The left-wing activists behind the anti-conservative riots at Berkeley have ties to one of the nation’s most prominent pro-pedophilia organizations.
...
BAMN’s parent organization worked directly with the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) in the years just before it founded BAMN, according to NAMBLA documents reviewed by The Daily Caller. In addition, a member of that parent organization said to have founded BAMN is an admitted member of NAMBLA, which she has described as the victim of a “witch-hunt.”
Yeah, people have such a lack of understanding and tolerance for child molesters.
I'd suggest reading it for all the connections among these various leftist and molester groups and individuals. Which includes statements like
“I call on all progressive people in the lesbian/gay community, in the women’s movement, and in the community at large to defend NAMBLA and its right to advocate for consensual sex regardless of age, and to unite our forces to make a fight for the real solutions to sexual coercion and abuse,” Scheff said.
And I will borrow the chart:
Such wonderful people, aren't they?

From the socialists and communists at Daily Kos: not only do they want your guns,
if you don't meet their specs in the matter of them stealing them, they want you in a camp. Or dead(get the feeling they'd prefer dead).
It ALWAYS comes down to camps and death squads with these people, doesn't it?
Step 2:
Federalize (“second”) the National Guard of the respective states. Just as we could send them to war in Iraq, we can deploy them as deputized federal agents. One BATFE agent to 3 or 4 guardsmen.
Step 3:
Go door-to-door with your list of gun purchasers, and get access to the guns. A massive VIPR-like sweep.
No gun? Where is it?
Who has it? Where’s the paperwork? No gun, no paperwork? You’re coming with us… the weather in Cuba is fine.
Sadly, it appears the nationwide cell phone network is down, unless you’re using a government contract cell phone.
Yes, surprise is key. Oh, by the way… you have ID don’t you? Born here? Let’s run that ID.
So… you’re here on a visa, that expired in 2003.
You’re coming with us, the weather in Minot, North Dakota is fine.
There’s your required quid pro quo to the Republicans.
Apparently, the people who scream at the idea of real screening for immigrants from troublesome parts of the world, and insist all illegal aliens be made into citizens overnight, are willing to throw them under the bus if it'll help them steal firearms. Wonderful people, aren't they?

Maybe coming soon to a ATM near you!
ATM machines are vulnerable because the strongbox inside an ATM has
two essential holes: a small slot in front that spits out bills to
customers and a big door in back through which employees load reams of
cash in large cassettes. "Criminals have learned to see this simple enclosure as a physics problem,"
writes Summers. "Gas is pumped in, and when it's detonated, the weakest
part—the large hinged door—is forced open. After an ATM blast, thieves
force their way into the bank itself, where the now gaping rear of the
cash machine is either exposed in the lobby or inside a trivially
secured room. Set off with skill, the shock wave leaves the money neatly
stacked, sometimes with a whiff of the distinctive acetylene odor of
garlic."
So if you hear a 'thump' coming from the convenience store down the street, it might not be what you first thought.
I used to know someone who got seriously bent out of shape when I mentioned Democrats and Occupy marching with commies; those side-by-side banners and signs at marches meant NOTHING, do you hear? I'm sure there'd be some similar 'Means nothing!' dismissal of this.
Because commies and Dems working together doesn't mean Dems have anything to do with Communists, oh no!
Because a rich celebrity getting “up to £1,000 a day” of benefits out of the public purse is the same as a destitute single mom asking for help. Therefore the parasite celebrity has to be allowed this largesse and defended.

The Norks have declared war
Which brings two questions to mind:
One is 'Are the clowns in charge up there stupid enough- or confident enough in The Lightbringer's dumbassery- to actually do something?'
Two is 'What the hell's going on up there that they need this badly to distract the populace?'

According to the weather service, last night brought
almost 2" of rain. I'd rather have had it spread out over all day of light, but I'll take it. Especially since there's a couple of cracks across my yard that look like the aftermath of a earthquake.
Noting this mostly because it'll be handy for annoying the right people: yes, Woody Guthrie was a commie.
Democrats Protect Child Rapists; considering there's six Obama Truth Team clowns who voted against stronger penalties, that's more accurate than screaming "REPUBLICAN WAR ON WOMEN!!!" because of the idiot statement from Akin
Never forget: just because it's been in a zoo does not mean the big kitty is a housecat.
Take a look at this, and see if you can figure it all out: was it cartel shooters or Mexican authorities who damn near killed them?
And Borepatch is right: this should never be allowed to slip away:
R.I.P. Vicki Weaver, shot down by the FBI twenty years ago today. If Lon Horiuchi had been a better shot, he might have got her and her baby at the same time. That would have been a twofer, or something. Wonder if that gets you promoted to Special Agent.
And this is another opportunity to remind everyone that not only does Lon Horiuchi walk the land as a free man, but that he gets corporate endorsements.

Dammit; as Owens notes, even if I had the money I couldn't buy one(thanks to gun-bigot politicians) but oh, I want one

Not exactly a surprise to those honestly following the Occupy movement
Former Amalgamated Transit Union local 689 president Mike Golash, now an “Occupy” movement organizer, was caught on tape Sunday revealing his political goals: overthrowing capitalism in the United States and instituting a communist government.
“Progressive labor is a revolutionary communist organization,” Golash said during an Occupy DC “People’s Assembly” on August 19.
“Its objective,” he added, “is to make revolution in the United States, overthrow the capitalist system and build communism.”

At least publicly, the Mexicans are pretending
Fast & Furious was 'botched'; and the Democrats are still lying about the numbers of guns. Anyone want to bet this crap shows up in "This is why the UN treaty is needed" speeches?
Know people who still insist the Bush tax cuts were 'only for the rich'; they won't like the results if they're dropped. And they'll blame Bush for the problems.
Why might the Poles be so upset about that idiotic comment? Besides having been betrayed by socialists/communists in the past, and the "No missile defense for you after all because it upsets the Russians" and such.
And I suspect the reason guys like this aren't much better known is they didn't like their communist 'saviors'; and wound up being murdered by them.
And Caleb likes the kilt.

There's a temptation to say "When the communist is ripping Holder,
the AG's really in trouble", but:
“I believe that if this was happening across our other border in Canada, we’d probably take it a little more seriously,” Jones said, implying much of the
carelessness over Operation Fast and Furious came because many of the victims are Hispanics from Mexico.
“I worry sometimes that we just don’t value all life the same,” Jones added.
My, my, is he calling Holder a racist? Or all the people defending him? Really?
“I don’t know the details of the program [Fast and Furious] or what the Attorney General, Eric Holder, has done or not done,” Jones said. “I do know that we need to declare some kind of an emergency, and really look at the situation down there and figure out what is going on, and do better.”
Does this count as 'Never let a crisis go to waste'? And just what kind of 'emergency' would Jones like to see declared, one that suspends the 2nd?
Barring some really huge change of mind by Jones, I wouldn't trust a word he speaks, so the question of 'what does he think to gain by this?' is open,.

A whole-village uprising in the PRC
is not good news for the commies.
What? The EPA used either bad methods or falsified results to try to stop fraking?
Looks like.
Here’s the story: the EPA says tests it conducted in Pavillion, Wyoming “indicate that ground water in the aquifer contains compounds likely associated with gas production practices, including hydraulic fracturing.” However, it turns out that the EPA drilled two monitoring wells to some 900 feet – much deeper than water wells which are usually at about 300 feet – and indeed found hydrocarbons. In short, they drilled into the natural gas reservoir that has long attracted industry producers. It may the single most productive moment in EPA history.
...
In addition to noting that the EPA had in effect discovered natural gas by drilling into a natural gas reservoir, the company faulted the EPA’s “discovery” of various several man-made chemicals in the deep wells. Curiously, the agency found the same chemicals in the so-called “blank” water samples— the “ultra purified water commonly used in testing to ensure no contamination from field sampling procedures.” As Encana points out, the conclusion suggests “problems associated with EPA methodology”. No kidding.
You know, Holder's anal sphincter must be having problems lately; got to be cycling between 'locked up like Sheldon at a broken routine' and 'open like a massive dose of prunes just hit'.
All that was the preliminary bombardment before Issa’s planned assault. After hours of waiting, Issa leaned forward to speak into his microphone and began in part by asking, “Do I need to serve a subpoena on you . . . or will you come before my committee?”
After several exchanges, Holder said, “I will consider it.”
While Issa was probably thinking "I'm considering the reaming you're going to get by the time this is over."
Holder didn’t answer the question; meanwhile, Issa focused his attack with the tone of voice a prosecutor might use with a hostile witness. “Don’t you think it is a little conspicuous that there is not one e-mail from or to you on Fast and Furious? . . . Isn’t it true that executive privilege does not include you?”
Holder answered, “We have not withheld any documents that are responsive. We have withheld information about ongoing investigations.”
Issa said, “That’s how John Mitchell responded.”
Let's see, Mmitchell went to prison for how long...
Holder acknowledged during the hearing that he has an official e-mail address and a private one, but he wouldn’t say how often he uses these accounts. He also said he had not seen e-mails that were printed in a CBS report that argued new gun-control regulations might have been the reason for Operation Fast and Furious.
Moments later Franks said he understood that Holder doesn’t read all the memos his staff sends to his desk, and Holder seemed to agree with this. Then Franks asked, “Do you read letters from Grassley and Issa?”
After a pause, Holder said, “I think it’s fair to say over the last few months I’ve read all of Issa’s and Grassley’s letters.”
This also drew a laugh from the spectators, but it was really a set-up.
Representative Franks next said, “Mr. Holder, these e-mails were attached to one of those letters.”
Holder tossed his head and replied that he “doesn’t always read attachments.”
"Oh, I NEVER read all the stuff I get from people who can probably get me time in the Graybar Hotel; that kind of thing isn't important enough for my valuable time." Sure, Holder.
No idea how many times I've seen someone at a convenience store using their food stamp card("We have to make it easier for people to use, so there's no stigma") to buy chips and cokes and candy, so I don't doubt a word of this.
Ok, I agree Christina Hendricks is hot; but WHY do they always have to slap enough makeup on a woman for a seal to camo itself from sharks?
All Obama needs now is a military uniform a chestful of fake medals and his transformation to dictator would be complete. Yeah, that 'separation of powers' thing seems to trouble him.

Assuming you could get the Presidents' terrorist friends
Ayers and Dohrn to talk, I wonder what they might know about this?
In 1975, “we” (President Gerald Ford, under Henry Kissinger’s influence) allowed foreign branches and subsidiaries of U.S. companies to trade freely with Cuba and persuaded the Organization of American States to lift its sanctions.
Result: Castro started his African invasion and tried to assassinate Ford. You read right. On March 19, the Los Angeles Times ran the headline “Cuban Link to Death Plot Probed.” Both Republican candidates of the day, President Ford and Ronald Reagan, were to be taken out during the Republican National Convention. The Emiliano Zapata Unit, a Bay area radical group linked to the Weather Underground, would make the hits.

If you know someone going to the U of Missouri,
take a look at some of what their money is paying for.
Mr. Pecinovsky, who has worked in the past for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), informed us about legislation that is pending in the state legislature. He said: “Here in Missouri, the Republicans who control the house and the senate are trying to push through a number of pieces of legislation that would really, really devastate Missourians.” He then informed us that State Senator Jane Cunningham (R) was “crazy.” Pecinovsky also described the dues requirements and initiation procedures of the Communist Party, and gave out his phone number several times, offering to stay as long as anyone wanted to talk to him about joining.
Prof. Ancel acknowledged that joining the Communist Party could cost students their future security clearances, make them less desirable to future employers, and potentially put them on federal watch lists. Still, she and Prof, Giljum invited this organization into class to recruit. Call me crazy, but I thought universities and professors were supposed to help students become more appealing to employers, not hook them up with questionable organizations that by their own admission could cost students their future livelihood.
In the same vein, the professors frequently used the class to mock and cajole Republicans and conservative policies. In one lecture, Prof. Ancel put up as part of the class notes a cartoon showing Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi saying, “I don’t believe in collective bargaining either.” She went on to compare Wisconsin’s Republican governor, Scott Walker, to a repressive authoritarian seeking to emulate dictators and fascists in their “repression of labor.” She then put up another cartoon called “Republican Workplace Bill of Rights,” which showed a number of employees gagged, blindfolded, and handcuffed. In another lecture, she blamed conservatives for what she perceived as media bias against unions, and stated: “The Republican party has done a great job of reducing class to a bunch of tastes, and demonizing liberals because their taste is different from ‘rednecks.’”
Yeah, everything in those videos was 'taken out of context' and 'edited', right.

These Cuban “roqueros’ ” crime?
Why growing long hair, wearing blue jeans and listening to “yankee-imperialist rock music.” The testimony of one such Castroite-victim might be considered particularly noteworthy: “In Cuba freedom is nonexistent,” the rock guitarist told Mexico’s Proceso magazine. “The regime demands submission. It persecutes all hippies, homosexuals, poets and free thinkers. It employs total repression against them.”
This “roquero” divulged the truth only because he’d managed to escape the nation-prison Bonnie Raitt, Chrissie Hynde, Jimmy Buffet, Andy Summers, etc. all herald. That escapees name is Canek Sanchez Guevara– Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara’s very grandson! The regime co-founded by his grandfather jailed and tortured Canek for the crime of trying to play Rock music!
A crowd of 5,000 Cubans huddled before Bonnie, Jimmy and friends that day in March ‘99, swaying and clapping. Most were Cuban Communist Party members and their families. Let’s step back and contemplate the scene: here are these troubadours for human rights. Here’s the same smarmy gang who boycotted South Africa (”I Ain’t Gonna Play Sun City!” thunders Bonnie Raitt herself alongside Bruce Springsteen, Bono, Darryl Hall and scores of similar political imbeciles on the 1985 recording titled, “Artists United Against Apartheid.”)
But she’ll GLADLY play in Havana’s Karl Marx Theater and bask in the applause of an audience pledging proud fealty to the most murderous ideology in human history. Indeed she’ll happily compose a song in their honor–and all on the house!

HAHAHAHAHA! Suck it, commies!
U.S. troops marched through Red Square for the first time in a Victory Day parade on Sunday as Russia celebrated the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II.
It was a scene cut from Russia's Cold War nightmares: 71 Americans in dark blue dress uniforms carried the U.S. flag over the cobblestones, past the mausoleum of Vladimir Lenin and the towers of the Kremlin wall to salute Russian leaders.
...
Author Alexander Prokhanov, editor in chief of the nationalist Zavtra daily, called the appearance of U.S. servicemen in Red Square a national humiliation.
"The fact that American troops are trampling underfoot the cobblestones of Red Square is a huge shame and humiliation for Russia," Prokhanov said. "Thus they are celebrating their final victory not in World War II but in the Cold War."
Hehehehehe...
While this might be seen as annoying to the Russians, after reading this I don't really care:
Russia invited Gordon Brown and other heads of state to attend the Kremlin's celebrations on Sunday – the biggest ever. But with the prime minister unable to attend because of the general election, the Foreign Office suggested Prince Charles instead.
Last week, however, the prince was quietly stood down after Putin made it clear that he did not want him there – apparently in a sign of his continuing annoyance with the UK over its failure to extradite Boris Berezovsky, the Kremlin critic and former oligarch, to Russia.
Putin, Russia's prime minister, also snubbed Biden, who had planned to go to Moscow and has been left kicking his heels in Brussels. Biden is close to Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgia's president. During the 2008 Russian-Georgia war Putin famously threatened Saakashvili, pledging to "hang him by the balls".
The White House is privately furious at the snub. Barack Obama told Russia's president, Dmitry Medvedev, he was unable to attend but had confidently offered Biden as his replacement. Moscow's diplomatic corps has been abuzz all week with news of Putin's unexpected veto.
Well, Barack, Putin is telling you exactly what he thinks of you. And it isn't much. I guess that 'smart diplomacy' isn't working all that well after all, is it?
And speaking of Russia,
The tragedy happened in the court security facility. At 6pm the officer’s supervisor tried to connect with him over the phone to check on him. The sergeant did not answer his phone and the supervisor had to go see him with other officers.
The police found a locked door they had to break and the body of their colleague behind the door. The policeman’s body with a wound in the head was found under the desk.
The investigation ruled out a murder. There was no note that would indicate suicide.
The victim had been serving in police since 2007. He was single and was not registered with the staff psychologist. He was reported to be in good spirits on the day of the accident.
The sergeant allegedly scratched his nose with his gun and accidentally pulled the trigger.

The things that happen when you're out buying stuff Updated
Over at Insty, among other things, we find a really cool killer drone(a little bitty one);
And we have a link to this critique of a piece of bullcrap from David Brooks. Insty says the Brooks piece doesn't seem that bad, that it might be Brooks trying to explain this stuff to the Upper West Side crowd; problem is, Brooks also crapped all over Palin at every opportunity, etc; he's explaining this by saying "Those cretins in flyover country aren't as smart or as well-educated as you, and so they oppose everything the Educated Class stands for." As Ace says,
Did you catch that? The public doesn't like the educated class, so -- because of that -- they childishly, petulantly take the position opposite that class.
Rather than: The majority of the public disagrees with this self-declared technocratic soft-socialistic urban would-be elite on most issues, so -- because of that -- their estimation of this small but extraordinarily noisy cohort necessarily diminishes.
And adds
We disagree with you because we disagree with you; and we think you are arrogant, effete, entitled douchemongers because you are arrogant, effete, entitled douchemongers.
Update: I now have to add this link to Claire; go read.
Oh, wow, the Educated Class mental titans at the White House have decided it wouldn't be a good idea to send a bunch of terrorists to Yemen after all.
Tough call. Super-tough. I mean, it's just that a dozen Yemeni terrorists whom we released into Yemen's "custody" (and who then "escaped" -- whoopsie!) have rejoined Al Qaeda and are trying to kill us. Including blowing up planes over Detroit.
You know, it's a fundamental, unshakable premise on the left that these Gitmo detainees are innocent-as-lambs dudes who were just "scooped up" by our stupid, non-educated-class military.
It's kind of hard to make that claim when they all keep rejoining Al Qaeda, isn't it?
Oh, crap. If the fast food rejects with police powers known as TSA really wanted to demonstrate that a lot of their personnal are friggin' idiots, they picked a good way.
Got arrested at the Seattle airport for refusing to say how much money I make. (The uniformed ones say I was not "arrested", but they definitely handcuffed me.) Their videos and audios should show that I was polite, but simply refused questions that had nothing to do with national security. Port authority police eve...ntually came -- they were professionals -- and rescued me from the border bullies.
If this is indeed what happened, why the HELL were these clowns demanding to know that? Damn.
Also update: Play-Doh
It should be noted: Michael Steele is a jackass.
And someone who really was a communist bigshot warns of what the Democrat Party is trying to do to this country. Y'know, maybe some of the clowns in Congress should remember what happened in Romania when people finally blew up.
Stuff to do, guns to clean from the range trip. See you later

You want a contrast between leaders?
While Obama & Co. are causing crap like this:
BOWMAN: Well, they felt comfortable. They had all the indicators that these guys were insurgents planting a bomb. So they thought about using a machine gun to shoot these guys. There was another combat outpost not too far away. The problem was there was a compound of houses between where the Marines were with their machine gun and the guys planting the bomb.
So then they decided to bring in the helicopters and use the machines guns and the helicopters to shoot these guys. As the helicopters came in, these guys look up in the air and start walking away. One of the guys was carrying a yellow jug - and that's become the icon of the roadside bomb. They mix fertilizer and diesel fuel in this, and that becomes a part of the bomb. And then we saw one of these guys throw this jug into a haystack.
Unidentified Man #2: And hiding the jug into the hay pile right now, and then are walking near the open field, so just wait until
BOWMAN: And they were gone. It was all over. They could no longer shoot at them.
MONTAGNE: So why didn't they shoot at them?
BOWMAN: Well, they thought that they were still too close to this compound of houses to allow these helicopters to use their machine guns to shoot, so they decided against it.
MONTAGNE: So, in being very, very careful about shooting at what they absolutely believed to be insurgents, they ended up, in effect, losing these guys. How did that make them feel?
BOWMAN: Well, they weren't happy at all. And some of them stormed out of this command center. And we talked with one of them afterwards. This is Lieutenant James Wendy(ph).
Lieutenant JAMES WENDY (U.S. Marines): There's no way that anyone other than the enemy would've been injured.
BOWMAN: So, why weren't you allowed to shoot?
Lt. WENDY: Honestly, I don't know. I'd like to say I wish we could play by the big boy rules, you know, but, you know, it's just the way it is. And if I had known how frustrating it'd be and was able to better prepare myself for that mentally, I think that maybe I would've been better off.
with the guy in charge over there saying things like this
General STANLEY MCCHRYSTAL (U.S. Commander, Afghanistan): I've been at this a long time now, since 9/11, and there were a tremendous number of times when I've seen activities done, which, on the surface of what was seen, looks exactly one way, looks completely convincing. And then in the aftermath, what you saw was incomplete. In fact, what we find is civilian casualties who are unarmed civilians.
I think when we err on the side of maturity and caution, there is a cost. And I know that we're asking an extraordinary amount from them to operate with such restraint and self-discipline, but I think it's how we win the war.
Sounds very nice. Except for the troops who'll wind up bleeding, crippled and dead because of those rules letting the bad guys get away; they're the ones having that cost taken out of them, General. "Maturity", huh? I hope you actually think it's worth it; I doubt the casualties and their friends, officers and family do.
And, on the other side, we have this:
I don't agree with much of Putin's imperial attitude and policies but after watching this video, it is frightening to think how much he must dominate Obama in private negotiations. And what must Putin think about Americans reading Miranda rights to apprehended terrorists?

So we have our troops handicapped on a level that's getting them killed and crippled, a President who's so busy being PC and progressive and lawyerly he doesn't even want to call a terrorist attack what it is, and on the other side you have someone who's brutal and wants to bring back the Soviet Union, but has the brains and nerve to know there's a war on. And wants to win it.FRENCH JOURNALIST: ...Don't you think that by trying to eradicate terrorism in Chechnya you are going to eradicate the civilian population of Chechnya?
VLADIMIR PUTIN: If you want to become an Islamic fundamentalist and be circumcised, come to Moscow. We are multiconfessional. We have very good specialists. I can recommend one for the operation. He'll make sure nothing grows back.

Damn, this takes both courage and desperation
and in a place like North Korea, that's liable to get messy:
While climate delegates are quarreling in Copenhagen, and President Barack Obama is collecting his Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, an important story is unfolding in relative obscurity, in North Korea. Furious over a confiscatory currency "reform," citizens of the world's most repressive state have begun publicly criticizing their government.
It is hard to overstate just how bold a move that is. North Korea's military "is on alert for a possible civil uprising," according to a major South Korean newspaper, the Chosun Ilbo. Reports have been filtering out of North Korea that the country's markets have become arenas of protest, with traders--many of them women in their 40s and 50s--publicly cursing the North Korean authorities.
You're talking about public protests in a country with even less problem killing troublemakers than the PRC. Like I said, nerve and desperation both, and anger. LOTS of anger.
Question is, whether they get stomped quiet again-for a while- or something changes, just how messy will it be?
'Course, the other question is will President Obama support them? Or play games like he did with Honduras?

I do need to get around to reading some of his works
Oh how we burned in the prison camps, later thinking: what would things have been like if every police operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? If, during periods of mass arrests, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood that they had nothing to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers or whatever was at hand? The organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt.
