A nightmare for the PC clowns of San Francisco:
Minority people demanding their right to arms.
“Can you imagine if all the Asian people owned a gun and they could protect themselves?” she told me Wednesday, with a lilt in her voice conveying this would be her utopia.
I, of course, had to push back a bit — what about all of our recent mass shootings? Didn’t more guns in our society make those possible? Think of Gilroy, I said.
“The people who shoot at us, the mass shootings, they’ll always get [guns], because they’re bad,” she answered. “Good people like you and me, who have common sense, if we could carry we could come out and defend ourselves.”
The gun bigots and hoplophobes have the standard response:
“People don’t feel safe,” Lee acknowledged by phone Wednesday. But, “we don’t want to encourage people to arm themselves, it’s too dangerous, it’s not in today’s society. We have to rely on the police to protect us, but we want them to do a better job.”
With various city officials also shitting their pants at the idea.

“I don’t trust black leadership that wants to de-arm black people,”
Killer Mike, whose real name is Michael Render, told Yahoo News at his Atlanta barbershop, the Swag Shop.
And he damn well shouldn't.
Wonder if the usual suspects will attack him, or if he'll get a pass? Or maybe they just won't want to take on someone who's black and willing to tell them to go to hell.

I wish not to hear one more word from Gods-damned Hollywood
about hate speech and those nasty people on the right.
What fucking idiot decided to finance it? At ANY time, let alone now?

In a comment on the 625 post
was mention of something I'd not heard of before: Wondersight.
It's a way to put an adjustable rear sight on a revolver. With 5-screw S&Ws it'll screw on using the top sideplate screw, for others you'd have to have a hole drilled & tapped.
People who've used it have a high opinion of it.

"Yes, we DO want to take your guns." As if there'd been any doubt.
Get this:
Realistically, a gun control plan that has any hope of getting us down to European levels of violence is going to mean taking a huge number of guns away from a huge number of gun owners.
I don't think they actually realize what they're wanting. Or they wouldn't want it.
Interesting:
“The greater the bureaucratization of public life, the greater will be the attraction of violence. In a fully developed bureaucracy there is nobody left with whom one could argue, to whom one could present grievances, on whom the pressures of power could be exerted. Bureaucracy is the form of government in which everybody is deprived of political freedom, of the power to act; for the rule by Nobody is not no-rule, and where all are equally powerless we have a tyranny without a tyrant.”
Is today’s generation of children “the sickest generation”? No.
Although, if you count the SJBs as mentally ill...
According to reports on Twitter and in the media, the man shot and killed by police after killing nine and injuring 27 in a mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio, was not just a Democrat but an open socialist. He also supported gun control, would vote for Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), and encouraged violence against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

S&W Model 625
I had a chance to shoot one of these a few days ago
It's a six-shot revolver for the .45acp cartridge, using moon clips. This model has some variations from the standard; from the S&W website:
• “Miculek Style” .265” Wide Grooved Speed Trigger
• “Jerry Miculek” Wood Grip
• Gold Bead Patridge Front Sight on an Interchangeable Base
• Low Reflection Bead Blast Finish
• Designed in Collaboration with Jerry Miculek
The owner had replaced the grip with a Pachmayr, because 'That grip may suit Miculek, but my hands hate it'.
How'd it shoot? Very well. Very smooth action, clean trigger, and that bead front sight worked. I was only able to put about 50 rounds through it, which was enough to make me decide I want one(note to self, I really need to find that winning lottery ticket). I checked around, and finding moon clips for one isn't a problem, and they should last forever. Loading them isn't bad, but I'm told unloading them, unless you have a tool for it(like this or this), is a PITA.
Shoot well, and Earl Harbinger* carries one; why wouldn't I want one?
Now I've got to go out and mow some places before it hits 'melt you in the yard' temperatures.

How you know your 'red flag' law is a effing disgrace
to the concepts of justice and due process:
There is zero accountability for false accusers. In fact, the filing fee is $0! For comparison, requesting a Temporary Restraining Order in Colorado is $97. Attorney General Weiser also admitted false claims will be par for the course. And possibly one of the worst parts of this bullshit:
The ERPO will go on a person's permanent record EVEN if it is dismissed, meaning it will show up on background checks, etc.
So the dickheads who came up with this and helped push it ADMIT it violates due process, ADMIT false claims 'will be par for the course', and then this shit will be on your record forever?
People's lives are going to be destroyed with this, someone is likely to wind up dead, and they or their survivors are going to bring ALL of this up in the lawsuits and civil rights cases. Which will be too late for the destroyed and dead.
Politician, lamppost, rope: some assembly required.
The
initial report and hearing can be done over the phone, all while the
accused is completely oblivious proceedings are taking place to have his
or her firearms confiscated. There is no due process at this first
hearing – which is the hearing where permission is given to confiscate
gun! Even Colorado Attorney General Weiser admits to the lack of due
process.
...
14
days later is the first time the accused will have a chance to defend
themselves against this non-crime. The burden of proof will fall on the
accused, not on the petitioner who can actually provide affidavits
rather than attend court!

FBI: "Why chase actual terrorists when we can
get a drug dealer to help us set up a mentally-retarded guy? It's a lot safer."
How many bad things can you see in this bullshit?
One of the things that comes to mind I've mentioned before: they try this on someone who actually does want to commit a terror attack, and while they think they're playing him he's using them. And the 'deactivated' device they provide is turned into or substituted with a real one.

I don't know if I did something, or
if the weather's got something to do with it, but if my knees asked for a divorce I'd agree to it. This sucks.
In other news- screw it, right now I don't care.
Except for one thing: some Democrat operatives with bylines are pushing a meme that 'There have been more mass shootings than days so far this year!' bullshit. That they're actually so dishonest/ignorant/incompetent to push such crap is amazing.

When commies slip
and let you know what they actually want
Gee, thinking people aren't 'fit to vote' because of their skin color, I think there's a term for that.
And I wonder what this asshat plans to do with anyone who won't 're-educate' correctly? Maybe a nice gulag somewhere?

Speaking of, 'routine website redesign'.
The language police are hard at work.
This kind of crime level in another country would probably qualify you to apply for asylum.
About damned time.
This isn't the first time the Navy JAG office- and NCIS, for that matter- have been caught in crap like this, and it needs to be cleaned up. And out.

From the people who scream "RACIST! RACISM!!"
about anyone and anything that they disagree with...
“The president always plays the race card when he’s having a bad news cycle. It’s easier to call people names when you don’t have anything else to point to.”
...
“He would love nothing more than to divide our country based on race, religion, gender orientation or immigration status,” Omar said, “because this is the only way he knows he can prevent the solidarity of us working together across all of our differences.”
From people who work hard to divide everyone along those lines.
Amazing, isn't it?

Saying "History: it be Messy" just barely begins to cover it.
Ancient Greeks artists could have travelled to China 1,500 years before Marco Polo’s historic trip to the east and helped design the famous Terracotta Army, according to new research.
The startling claim is based on two key pieces of evidence: European DNA discovered at sites in China’s Xinjiang province from the time of the First Emperor in the Third Century BC and the sudden appearance of life-sized statues.
...
“By systematically examining the First Emperor’s main tomb and subsidiary burials we have discovered something more important even than the Terracotta Army.” The mitochondrial DNA samples revealed Europeans had settled down in China and died there during the time of the First Emperor and even before then.

Ammo.com put together a list
of gun and ammo laws by state.
As usual with any such list, good idea to confirm this if you're going to/through/live in a state, just in case something has changed since they put it together.

Daughter thinks I have a brownie with a bad sense of humor
in the house. If so, and he's responsible for that punch disappearing, his ass is in trouble.
Pelosi is a vile bitch
And the second part of my question is this -- if you need to go home tonight and line up your babies as you say, and your grandbabies, which one of them could you look in their eyes today, and tell them that they're expendable for another foreign person to have an a nicer life? Which one would you look to say, you, my child, are expendable for someone else to come over here and not follow the law and have a nicer life?
The response:
...And so I pray for you. I pray for you. Again, we all pray that none of us has to experience what you have experienced. So thank you for channelling your energy to help prevent something like that from happening. But I do want to say to you, that in our sanctuary cities, our people are not disobeying the law.
These are law-abiding citizens, it enables them to, to be there without being reported to ICE in case of another crime that they might bear witness to.
Illegal aliens. They're breaking the law just by being there. But that doesn't count.
And she actually called them CITIZENS...
Vile, soulless bitch.

This idiot decision won't stand,
but I'm sure the judge feels very virtuous about it.
Violates the Heller decision and others, and full of bullshit like
She decided that semi-automatic rifles should be deemed “dangerous and unusual weapons” that are used in military service, not civilian homes, and therefore not protected by the Second Amendment.
In her ruling, Staton “cited congressional findings that semi-automatic rifles have a rate of fire, 300 to 500 rounds per minute, that makes them ‘virtually undistinguishable’ from machine guns, and that they are the ‘weapons of choice’ for gangs, hate groups, and ‘mentally deranged persons bent on mass murder,'” the San Francisco Chronicle described.

In a nation premised upon equality, this would be a disastrous social development.”

And if whites followed her demands,
she'd be screaming 'RACISTS!' at the top of her lungs.
In sum, Pressley just outlined the classic anti-Enlightenment mindset: we are all permanent captives of our superficial race, religion, and sexual orientation. We must at all times think, act, and speak in such tribal fashion—and do so monolithically and collectively, in adopting the party line as set down by such elites as those like Pressley herself.
Blacks who oppose affirmative action, or Muslims who recognize Israel, or “queers” whose sexual preferences are incidental, not essential to their personas are thus declared not authentic and thus not to be welcomed by Pressley into the new racialist Democratic Party.
In practical terms, Pressley assumes that whites, reportedly about 70 percent of the population, tune her logic out. That is, they should never take her own racist advice and vote en masse according to their superficial shared skin color. If they did, the 55 percent of actual voters who are white in her otherwise minority-majority congressional district might never have elected someone who, according to her own rationale, is not part of their own tribe.

A fine example of having it both ways:
the FOP clown and the asshat Mayor.
Murray was there to defend the four Chicago Police
officers fired by the Police Board for covering up for Jason Van Dyke,
the officer convicted of second degree murder for shooting Laquan
McDonald.
He was arguing that “nobody worked together to form a conspiracy” and the four officers got a raw deal from the Police Board.
vs.
“It was not appropriate for me to say that out loud,” Lightfoot said.
Is the mayor planning to apologize to Murray or to the
union with which she is now attempting to establish a dialogue and needs
to negotiate a new police contract?
“I think I just did. I think I said I shouldn’t have said that out loud,” she said.
Is the mayor sorry she said it or is she sorry the derogatory remark got picked up on a hot mic?
“I’m sorry that I said it out loud,” she said.
