And what will you EUnuchs do when Poland tells you to kiss their ass?

Maybe a few others tell you, too?
The President of the unelected executive arm of the European Union (EU) has vowed to block all right wing populists from power across the continent, shortly after acquiring the power to exert “far-reaching sanctions” on elected governments.

Jean-Claude Juncker, the president of the European Commission, promised to exclude Norbert Hofer, the leader of Austria’s Freedom Party (FPÖ), from all EU decision-making if elected ahead of yesterday’s presidential vote.

“There will be no debate or dialogue with the far-right,” the liberal bureaucrat told AFP.
"Your elections do not count unless we approve of the winners."  Yeah, that'll go over well.
However, as of 2014, the Commission was handed a batch of new powers that it could plausibly use to do just this – powers already being mobilised against Poland’s elected, conservative leaders.

The Commission can now trigger a “rule of law mechanism” (Article 7 TEU) against nations it perceives as deviating from “the common constitutional traditions of all Member States.” Ultimately, “far-reaching sanctions” can be exerted, and a country can be stripped of all voting rights in the EU and have funding blocked.

In January this year, Frans Timmermans, the first ever unelected Commission “vice president,” who is in charge of “human rights,” triggered the mechanism for the first time against Poland’s government which came to power in a record-breaking, landslide election in 2015.
And Poland is basically telling them to pucker up.

Considering Poland- and a few others- have serious concerns about Russia, and probably have military forces each capable of kicking the ass of most of the rest of the EU if need be, threatening them might not be real productive.  They've been under socialist rule, and they didn't like it.  The EUnuchs might try remembering that.

Yeah, I'm a bad blogger

Blame it on the new exercises and stretches added together.  After finishing this last set, I may start referring to the PT as Irene Adler.

Imagine a U.S. president who is bombastic, egotistical, and just a little racist. He worries opening the borders will mean an influx of undesirables. He implements capricious executive orders, and seems more concerned with his own power than with the Constitution. He’s often called a fascist by people who know what the term means.

No, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

If you're hooked up with CMP, be advised they have some M1 Carbines; they'll probably go fast.

"We need an enemy to distract from the Clinton problem.  Let's screw Petraeus over, that should do it."
Any pictures out there of Petraeus and Obama?  Might start watching to see if Petraeus disappears from them.

...“Of course the SVR got it all,” explained a high-ranking former KGB officer to me about EmailGate (the SVR is the post-Soviet successor to the KGB’s foreign intelligence arm). “I don’t know if we’re as good as we were in my time,” he added, “but even half-drunk the SVR could get those emails, they probably couldn’t believe how easy Hillary made it for them.”
And don't ignore the crap members of her staff pulled; some of them should be in jail as well.

Much like the number of bodies in Mexico connected to Gunwalker, we'll probably never find out about agents or local assets who wound up dead because Hillary wanted to hide what she was doing.

Tab clearing

Assuming this information is true, what kind of sorry worthless POS excuse for a cop would even CONSIDER doing this?

If true, these assholes with badges should be behind bars.  Period.

"Don't bother us with that 4th amendment shit, we're doing cop stuff!"

No, the whole thing isn't walking crap with uniforms.  For instance, Mr. Moyers and Suzuki, let's see you take point on the arrest teams, you fascist shitheads.

Why do I despise the Democrat Party, let me count another way:
“Two of the safest cities in America are on the border with Mexico. Of course, the reason is we’ve proved that communism works. If you give everybody a good government job, there is no crime,” he added.

Back to dirtbags with LE credentials, ah, the high ethics of the leaders of the EffingBI.

Some Democrats are calling bullshit on Obama's "I need to know more" delaying tactics on the VA shitpile.

Isn't Jarvis cute, with his little collar insignia on his green uniform?

“We are content-neutral on First Amendment and on the National Mall,” Mr. Jarvis responded.

“That wasn’t my question,” Mr. Gowdy fired back. “Do you consider it to be an exercise of your First Amendment rights to walk to a monument that you helped build?”

Mr. Jarvis then insinuated that individuals could visit the memorials if they “declare” they are there to exercise their First Amendment rights.

“Who were they to declare it to?” Mr. Gowdy angrily interrupted. “A barricade? … I want the record to reflect that no statute or code of the federal regulation was cited to justify the erection of barricades.”

Look at the way he hesitates and thinks real hard about how to answer "Did you talk to anybody at the White House about this?"
Miserable little fascist bastard.
Also a lying little bastard.
Explaining the decisions to close off memorials, including open-air sites like the World War II Memorial, he said the agency took "prudent and practical steps." He said the agency has worked "diligently" to ensure "honor flights" of WWII veterans were not turned away from the memorials despite the restrictions -- allowing them access on the basis of their First Amendment rights.
Which apparently means "I didn't order them arrested when they move the barricades I used to block their access to the memorial."

And do note they had to subpoena the bastard.

The director's full testimony to Congress can be found here, but it can be summed up as a non-apology blaming the inability of a furloughed workforce to meet the safety and security concerns of a "post-9/11 world" for the National Park Service's actions despite the fact that law enforcement officers, firefighters, border protections, and surveillance programs were maintained throughout the furloughs.
And I suppose the 'post-9/11 world' is why elderly people at Yellowstone were kept in their rooms by armed guards(so if there were no security people due to furlough, where'd these clowns come from?).

The Democrats, of course, insist it's all the Republicans fault.  Anything, no matter what or where.

Not only should it not be necessary to tell people "You don't have to let these clowns come into your home", but Mills should have his ass kicked for thinking a warrantless 'visit' was in any way tolerable.

Short(very) version: "How dare you actually own and use firearms I disapprove of civilians having?!?"
Short answer: 'Screw you, bozo.'

The PROM says goodbye to some of that Beretta tax money;

more to follow.
Not to mention jobs lost and so on.  But I'm sure the clowns running the state will feel very virtuous at running this company out.

In the Dark and Fascist State of New Jersey: "How dare you bring inconvenient facts into this! Guards!"

Why I call it Zero-Tolerance Stupidity:
The family of a second-grade boy suspended from his school in Maryland’s Anne Arundel County for chewing his Pop-Tart-like pastry into the shape of a gun has lost a bid to have the episode expunged from the child’s record, according to the family’s attorney.

Emily Miller and Judicial Watch are after the reasons why Dick Gregory wasn't treated like any other citizen.
And the OAG and MPD really aren't happy about it.
Tough shit, folks.

If you haven't heard what happened to the Reese family, go check it out.  It's a disgrace.  And I should have been doing a better job of following this.

Yes, she would; and this kind of thing we really do need to be aware of.

In closing,

Well, from a President & Co. who ARE socialist,

it makes sense:
According to the Wall Street Journal, Polish officials requested that Walesa accept the Medal of Freedom on behalf of Jan Karski, a member of the Polish Underground during World War II who was being honored posthumously this week. The request makes sense. Walesa and Karski shared a burning desire to rid Poland of tyrannical subjugation. But President Obama said no.

Administration officials told the Journal that Walesa is too “political.” A man who was arrested by Soviet officials for dissenting against the government for being “political” is being shunned by the United States of America for the same reason 30 years later.

Meanwhile, one of the recipients of the Medal was Dolores Huerta, the honorary chair of the Democratic Socialists of America. So socialist politics are acceptable, but not the politics of a man who stood up and fought socialism.

My, aren't they a wonderful bunch of people?

Yeah, besides the "Scare people for daring to contact a .gov flunky", why the hell DOES the EPA have a SWAT team?

Speaking of SWAT, one of the things very troubling about the SWATting crap: since when is a assault team sent out ON THE BASIS OF A PHONE CALL? The whole idea, originally, was 'barricaded suspects, hostage situations, possibly actual high-risk warrant service'; now they're sent out with no confirmation there's an actual problem because "We got a phone call"?
I repeat: someone gets killed there's going to be some very serious questions- hell, they should be asked NOW- on "Just why did you send this team out when all you had was a phone call?"

Remember all the "If you want to handle assault weapons, join the military" crap politicians like John Effing Kerry like to throw out? A slightly different version that actually makes sense for law enforcement, especially like the 'Constitutional bullshit' commander in the DC police:
Uh oh. There’s that word. Tactical. The SWAT team that night had “tactical operators” who were “operating tactically,” and it all needed an overall review of the “tactical operations.” The tactical operators were likely wearing Tru-Spec tactical pants, carrying drop holsters and body armor, and thought they were going to engage in room clearing operations just like they think they have seen on television coverage of Iraq.

With a son who actually did room clearing operations in Fallujah, Iraq, with the 2/6 Marines, I can supply a perspective concerning these kinds of “tactical operations.” Actually, it is his own perspective. So, you want to be an operator? Good. Sign up, take the training, fly across the pond, and do it for real. If you are a police officer in the U.S., you should first and foremost see yourself as a peace officer.
As opposed to a trigger-happy oath-breaking jerk in a ninja suit.

Something actually good in the news, possibly restoring leg function in people with spinal injuries.Link

Please crawl back into whatever fascist hole you crawled out of. I’m absolutely serious about this. You are a fascist. Stop telling people how to live their lives. It is absolutely none of your fucking business whether other people like sugary drinks.
"oooh, but it affects our HEALTH CARE SYSTEM! so it's my business!" Etc. I refer the fascist to that quote in my sidebar:
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their consciences.

Sunday, October 18, 2009

Well, I'm awake, and didn't sleep real well, so

let's see...
“The FCC might be empowered to require that networks donate time for ads to awaken people to the population-resource-environment crisis,” the authors [of Ecoscience, John P. Holdren and Paul and Anne Ehrlich] wrote. “Such spots, sponsored by voluntary organizations like Planned Parenthood, ZPG, and the Sierra Club, have been moderately effective in drawing public attention to the problems. Unfortunately, the advertising budgets available to these groups are puny compared to those of General Motors or Exxon.” Yep, more words from Obama's science czar and enviro-propaganda minister.
“Much programming ought to be informational, even if presented as entertainment,” wrote Holdren, Ehrlich and Enrlich. “People in the LDCs [less developed countries] need help in increasing agricultural production and improving public health, as well as information on the need for population control and the ways it may be achieved.”

“Programming should be carefully designed by social scientists and communications experts thoroughly familiar with the needs and attitudes of the audiences in each country or locality,” they wrote. “This is particularly important in LDCs, where it will be especially difficult because of the lack of trained people and the radical change in attitude that is required. Control of the communications media obviously should be public, with maximum safeguard against abuses and against the problems of ‘cultural homogenization.’ The problem of controlling ‘Big Brother’ will be ever present in all societies.”

Makes you wonder what Holdren considers 'Big Brother', since he's talking about BEING the creature.

Ref one of the excuses being made for Obama's Mao-loving comm director,
Let’s say that Mr. Atwater had quoted the bit from Mao that Anita Dunn quoted — you fight your war and I’ll fight mine, etc., etc. So what? Lee Atwater did not identify Mao as one of his two favorite political philosophers. He did not stand before a room full of high school students and praise the revolutionary tactics of the greatest mass murderer in history.

Bottom line: it is one thing to quote a tyrant. It is another to endorse his view of the world
.
And let's not let it be forgotten, one of the big legacies left by her favorite philosopher:
In his October 2005 essay in COMMENTARY, Arthur Waldron describes the architect of China’s Cultural Revolution this way: “Mao was the greatest mass murderer of the 20th century. Much of the killing was direct, as in the torture and purges at Yan’an. After the Communist seizure of power in 1949, the practice became countrywide. Mao set his numerical targets openly, and stressed the ‘revolutionary’ importance of killing.” It is said of Mao — who was responsible for the death of some 70 million Chinese — that he derived a “sadistic pleasure” from seeing people put to death in horrible ways.

All this goes uncommented upon by Miss Dunn. Her praise for Mao — unqualified and without caveats, based on the excerpts of her speech — is quite extraordinary. For a senior member of the White House to hold these views is more extraordinary still. Perhaps Pol Pot will be the subject of Dunn’s next favorable meditation
.
Thanks to Fausta for that last link.

Fascism defined, with pictures! Y'know, for us right-wing types who don't do so well with words.

A piece on how Yale University has apparently decided that actual messy freedom of speech isn't really important.

Short time ago Mel had a piece about the census, and about how many people are reacting to ANYBODY with a federal ID:
If you ever want to know how little trust in and regard for the federal government the average person has, put on a government i.d. and knock on doors. Seriously.

In the past few weeks I've been sworn at, openly derided, and questioned within an inch of my life. I haven't been attacked, but one co-worker walked onto a property (fence-less, no warning signs) only to have a door opened and large dogs sent after him.

Seriously.

Now before you say, "but that's what you get for walking onto private property and knocking on the doors of private homes" we weren't. That wasn't the mission.

We were knocking on the doors of businesses, most of them open to the public.

Nursing homes. Hospitals. Hotels. Places of business. NOT private homes.

And we were already getting this treatment.

Whatever goodwill the average person had for the organization that actually performs a CONSTITUTIONALLY MANDATED FUNCTION is completely gone.

I wonder how the average person feels about OTHER functions of the government. I don't really want to find out, at least not while wearing a federal i.d
.

Under the heading of "Some people just don't intimidate worth a damn"

If you want to be taken as just another citizen, this kind of thing doesn't exactly help.

No, no media bias here, nossiree!
If you dig deep, they do admit to sifting through over 900,000 gun permits (including mine!) in (at least) two counties to come up with 211 supposedly iffy permit grants, four (4) of which they deemed bad enough to address in detail, three of whom have already had their License To Carry Handgun revoked for cause. It's difficult to be sure but it looks as if at least two of them were probably Lautenberged out of even buying a gun and all of them lied on their applications, at least by omitting criminal history and managed to slip through. Being criminally-inclined, they've since outed themselves by subsequent acts, meaning the system did, in fact, work.

Fishing expedition, anyone?

The Star's gripe seems to be that State Police use the well-defined criteria for "proper person" in determining eligibility for a permit rather than the statute's vague "good character" clause (probably because they're only too familiar with getting tripped up by sloppily-crafted laws judges later hold to be unenforceably vague, but I'm only speculating). They're peeved ISP can't read minds and refuses to try
.

And finally, more fun from Chicago and some of the wonderful minions of law enforcement. Damn. Being a good cop there must be a whole lot of fun.

There's a motorcycle swap meet at the fairgrounds, I think I'll go take a look around.

And speaking of nanny-state dirtbags,

A growing army of private security guards and town hall snoopers with sweeping police-style powers is being quietly established, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Under a Home Office-run scheme, people such as park wardens, dog wardens, car park attendants and shopping centre guards receive the powers if they undergo training, and pay a small fee to their local police force.

Their powers include issuing £60 fines for truancy and dropping litter, and being able to demand a person's name and address on the street
.
This is just flat disgusting. "This gives me the power to demand your name and address! Do it or I'll call a policeman!" The only proper response to this in a free society is "Fuck you". But Britain isn't a free society any more. And Obama wants to foist the same kind of garbage on us, him being the nasty little socialist he is.

A Home Office spokesman said: 'The Police Reform Act 2002 requires a chief officer to be satisfied that an applicant is both suitable and has received adequate training to exercise Community Safety Accreditation Scheme powers.'
Oh, well, that makes it all right, then, doesn't it?
In a pigs ass it does.

'Free speech' isn't at a lot of universities;

unless the speech is PC, of course.
CHAPEL HILL -- UNC-CH police released pepper spray and threatened to use a Taser on student protesters Tuesday evening when a crowd disrupted a speech by former Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo opposing in-state tuition benefits to unauthorized immigrants.

Hundreds of protesters converged on Bingham Hall, shouting profanities and accusations of racism while Tancredo and the student who introduced him tried to speak. Minutes into the speech, a protester pounded a window of the classroom until the glass shattered, prompting Tancredo to flee and campus police to shut down the event.
...
"We are the children of immigrants, and this concerns us," said junior Lizette Lopez, 22, vice president of the Carolina Hispanic Association. "So we would at least like to hear what he has to say if you want to hear what we have to say."

The protesters relented, and Tancredo began to speak, describing failed state and federal legislation aimed at providing in-state tuition benefits for undocumented immigrants.

Two women stretched out another banner, first along one of the aisles and then right in front of Tancredo. Tancredo grabbed the middle of the banner and tried to pull it away from one of the girls. "You don't want to hear what I have to say because you don't agree with me," he said.

The sound of breaking glass from behind a window shade interrupted the tug-of-war.

Tancredo was escorted from the room by campus police.

And, as part of their idea of 'free speech', we have the death threats:
About 200 protesters reconvened outside the building. "We shut him down; no racists in our town," they shouted. "Yes, racists, we will fight, we know where you sleep at night!"
Yeah, UNC students can be proud; only allowing speech they agree with. Of course, that's not free speech, but it undoubtedly makes them feel good.

UNC graduate student Tyler Oakley, who had organized the protest, said he regretted the broken window but not silencing Tancredo. "He was not able to practice his hate speech," said Oakley. "You have to respect the right of people to assemble and collectively speak."
Oakley, you are a fucking moron. You just PREVENTED someone from speaking by violence, AND were involved in death threats, and you're equating your actions with free speech. That you are a graduate student speaks of how low standards have fallen. And just what kind of idiots we have teaching in our schools.

All righty, Sen. Specter, you miserable little lying

son of a bitch, where's that "We are not going to monitor your doctor" bullshit you spouted now?
HHS bureaucrats will soon be empowered to overrule your doctor. Doctors who don't comply with the government's treatment protocols will be fined. That's right: Instead of your treatment being determined by your doctor, it will be settled on by some narcoleptic half-wit in Washington who couldn't get a job in the private sector.

And a brand-new set of bureaucrats in the newly created office of "National Coordinator of Health Information Technology" will be empowered to cut off treatments that merely prolong life. Sorry, Mom and Pop, Big Brother said it's time to go
.
Oh, sorry, Senator, did that bad nasty little Obamessiah lie to you? Or did you lie to us? Again?

Specter and Collins and Snowe, three RINOs who need to be removed from their seats. You miserable bastards, you helped bring this garbage on us, and you need to pay the price for it.

And just how well do these socialist shits in HHS and Congress think people are going to take it when said faceless bureaucrats rule that Mom or Dad can't receive a treatment because their masters don't think it's worth it?

Fascist dirtbags all, and they need to end up like Mussolini. Oh, and Sen. Specter? Just what other little surprises did you help drop on us like turds in a toilet, helping pass a bill that even the apologists for admit they never had a chance to read?
