Damn.

Damndamndamn. Brand-new #4 Enfields, in various cartridges and model variations.

I hate to think what they'll probably cost, but.. I want to see one.

I keep looking at the Special Interest Arms guns in 45 and 7.62x39 and drooling.

Interesting that they couldn't get decent parts that hadn't been assembled yet.

I'd assumed that there would have been number 4s coming out of storage that would have filled demand for normal length actions for years to come. Seems there aren't.

I guess that the recessed bolt face is pragmatic and safe. A plunger ejector just requires 2 holes to be drilled.

The .303 military rifles had controlled feed. There is no way of getting that with a full recess and a plunger ejector, which is a shame.

I've always liked the idea of a short action, set up for .223, 7.62X39 and the various PPCs. A boys gun for men who never grew up.

I've been drooling over those for years, but have yet to see the "coming soon" American distributor
