some more clearing can be done

It' being the start of the weekend, and me being tired(more so than usual), I'm going to talk a bit

about my recent experience with the medical profession.

I haven't said a lot because it's personal, and I tend to keep that quiet, then I remembered Kevin talking about his liver transplant, and thought "so, may be this can help someone."

Short version is, I had a stroke.

Longer version, one night I was drying off after a shower and suddenly had to puke.  As in 'Barely made it to the toilet and puked up everything for at least 24 hours, it felt like.'  And when that was done, I had a headache.  Which hung around all the next day(some gratuitous 'Man, this sucks' left out).  And I was still throwing up, not always but some.  Including 'drink some water, ten seconds later head for the trash can because it's closer.'  That covered the next day.

Day after it was suggested I go to a emergency clinic if nothing else, with this still holding on.  Which I did, and the doc there said "You need to go to an ER, you need scans that we can't do here."  He did not say "I think it's this", just 'Go to a place that can do scans,' I decided that was a good idea and went.

The ER wasn't real busy so was seen pretty quickly, and the doc looked things over as he listened to the story, asked "Ever had a CAT scan?"  Why yes, I have.  "Well, you're going to have another."  And when it was done he announced "You had a stroke(Hemorrhagic, to be specific) and you're going to a room."  So they stuck me in, I think, critical care while I called the family.

And that led to more scans, both CAT and MRI, than I'd ever had before, and a total of a week in the hospital, though about halfway through they moved me to a regular room.  That was right after an odd episode I don't remember but daughter says scared hell out of her.  At some point in all this one of the doctors said "The stroke caused the headache and also caused the nausea that brought you here."  Which gave me a wonderfully expanded list of 'This can mean you had a stroke".   And almost all-new meds instead of the usuals I'd been taking for quite a while.  When I left the hospital I spent a week with family just to be on the safe side(be it noted I think daughter and some might well have tied me to a bed if I'd insisted on going home), which gave me critters for company, too.

So here I am: recovering, which is taking a while, somewhat nervously wondering if anything out of the usual is just life or "Should I worry?" and making sure the will is made out properly and so forth.

And that's most of the story.  So if you ever suddenly get sick and have a headache after, or vice versa, and it won't go away, go get checked.  You might just be sick with something, or you might have a problem.

I probably can't say anything new about the Epstein information mess,

but possibly this: 
"If we get rid of everyone who had access to all the information and evidence and was possibly involved in getting rid of it, we might just be starting from scratch."

In which case firing every one of the bastards seems like a good start.

I tend to agree, a bunch of Republicans are too chickenshit to stand up for much of anything,

except trying to keep themselves in that taxpayer-supplied office.

Gun owners are watching. They’re angry. And they’re making it clear: Executive action is no substitute for legislative backbone.

Which the bastards don't have.

I don't know if it counts as 'fatal' right now, but I think it may get some of them primaried next election.

One of the least-welcome long guns to see at the next bench

 for me at least, is a Springfield Scout-version of the M1A.  Because of that friggin' compensator on the muzzle.  Borrowing their picture for example:

It blows the muzzle blast all around, and it's BLEEPING AWFUL LOUD.   Ruger has a similar type on their Ranch Rifles, and it has the same problem.  Hell, it makes the muzzle blast of a .300 Blackout offensive.

Good rifles, but I do hate them.  It's like seeing someone take a AR15 pistol out of a case and it has a cookie-cutter muzzle device.  You don't want to be anywhere near the damn thing.

The mainstream media seem to be playing down - if not outright ignoring - a new article analyzing the impact of Covid vaccination on the general health of those receiving it. It's titled "Association Between COVID-19 Vaccination and Neuropsychiatric Conditions", and can be found at the link.

To say the least.  And considering how complicit they are in helping force this on people, no wonder they don't want to talk about it.

One of my favorite book series is the 'SPQR' set by John Maddox Roberts

Numerous times the character makes mention of the smells, especially the bad smells(depending on the wind direction) that can be really bad.

What brings this up?  An article on how it smelled in ancient Rome,   Considering their major sewers ran straight into the Tiber, and that sometimes bodies were part of what was running out...  Yeah, I'd say 'bad'.  One whole book was about the sewers not having been properly maintained by previous officials and the consequences when the river flooded.

So that's what brought this to mind.

Why yes, it's been busy

And tiring.  Things I want to do, things- such as mowing- I need to do, and getting hold of some people for followup stuff.  When they answer the phone, and will call back.

In the meantime, yes, the Hearing Protection Act and SHORT Act only partly took care of problems; no tax stamp anymore, but still the registration crap.

Be it said because so many Republicans are chickenshits and refused to ignore the Senate Parliamentarian(y'know, just like the Democrat who got her into that position did?), we're in this situation.

The good part: The only reason for the registration and tax stamp was to prove you'd paid the tax, so with the tax gone, looks like a decent chance to dump the registration crap.   We can hope, and several organizations have already started the paperwork for the court cases.

In the meantime, a bunch of the idiot leftists are calling to start spilling blood, and demanding their politicians help push for it.  I'm going to be that if we hear what and who this idiot was, he's one of them.

I did get most of the mowing done, and a couple of other things, and I'm beat.  It's going to take a while to get my endurance back.

I've got to say, when Wirecutter let's his blog go, he's going to be missed.  For a lot of things, including his Good Morning stuff

that put out this statement.  I think there's going to be hell to pay on this, and it's a good thing.

There seems to be an awful lot of people who're quite willing to do really stupid things that involve hating Jews, and there needs to be a price paid for it.  Especially when schools are involved(and I include colleges).

So, does she just hate Jews, does she 'only' dislike the ones who cause problems by standing up, or is she so enamored by the terrorist-supporters that she can't help herself?

And on the subject of hating Jews, Glastonbury is a big music festival in (formerly Great)Britain.  You may have heard that the Jew haters made a big noise there.  And the current problem is that the people who scream about 'no hate allowed' want that hate allowed, and helped it happen, and are caught in a wringer by those sick of it.  

It being (fG)Britain, run by Starmer & Co., the chances of them getting in any real trouble for doing this, just about zero; as Two-Tier has demonstrated, government-approved hatred you can commit without winding up in real trouble.

Right now I need to get some shopping done before our national festival that includes acknowledging "I am so damn glad some of my ancestors got the hell out of those islands", so if I don't post again today, get ready and have fun.

Today I made the perilous journey to the outdoor range

to find if I can still hit anything at a distance.

The Good: I can.

The Bad: for a short while.  

It's going to take a while to recover from all this.  By the time I finished what I'd decided to try today, it was very obviously time to pack up and go home.  Few days ago a friend who's a nurse, when I asked 'How do you know you've recovered?' said to figure on one week for every day you were in the hospital.  So I've got about another four weeks of recovery time.

But, as I say, I can still shoot.  And a couple of the loads I'd put together before all this happened worked quite well.

As proof I can't keep track at times,

I was planning to post this the other day.  Or the day before, one or the other.

Piece read the other day, 'When your enemy is making mistakes,

don't interrupt them.'

Which seems very good advice.

Not the best way to lose weight

Under the heading of 'had I but  known', one of the first two things saying "Hey, guy, you've got a problem here" was when I started throwing up.  As in everything.  Including 'take a drink of water, ten seconds later you're sticking your head in the trash can(it's got a bag and it's closer than the toilet)', over and over, including the first couple of days in the hospital, by which time the anti-nausea meds took effect.

Seriously, worst throwing up I've ever been through.  I lost right at ten pounds, which I have not regained.  I promise, that's not how you want to lose weight.  And I think my stomach shrunk some through all this, so it may work out to be a long-term loss.

My problem at  first was that allergies, which for most of my life didn't much bother me, the last few years have been a lot worse at times.  And I asked a couple of people who've had long-term bad allergy trouble if theirs ever affected them this way, headache and some upchucking, and they said 'Yes', so that's what I thought it was.  Boy, was I wrong.  And I really waited longer than I should before talking to medical people*.  I'll try not to make that mistake again.

*Dad and Mom have both been really bad about that; I think it's part of what  killed Dad.

“As staff secretary, I was responsible for handling the flow of documents to and from the president,” she testified. “I was also authorized to direct that autopen signatures be affixed to certain categories of documents."

Note that the statement said to come from Biden to excuse this was
“Let me be clear: I made the decisions during my presidency. I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations. Any suggestion that I didn’t is ridiculous and false,” a statement attributed to Joe Biden claimed earlier this month in response to the congressional investigation, and dismissing the investigation as a distraction by Trump and Republicans.
'Attributed to' does not mean "He said it to a reporter".  So did he actually, or not?
