"They don't lie about that!", Part Whatever:
Accused man of rape. Proven a liar. The 'defense':
But she continued to deny the allegation against her and said she was innocent because she had not knowingly lied, and instead had a false belief of "something so clear in my head".
Basically "I believed it when I made it up, so I'm innocent of falsely accusing him!"

Well, this is disgusting
"Did you observe with some frequency this ... practice which is taking someone who was seemingly not guilty of a crime and laying the drugs on them?" Justice Gustin Reichbach asked Anderson.
"Yes, multiple times," he replied.
The judge pressed Anderson on whether he ever gave a thought to the damage he was inflicting on the innocent.
"It was something I was seeing a lot of, whether it was from supervisors or undercovers and even investigators," he said.
"It's almost like you have no emotion with it, that they attach the bodies to it, they're going to be out of jail tomorrow anyway; nothing is going to happen to them anyway."
Oh, sure. Except for being arrested, having a criminal record, legal costs, and possibly spending a long time in jail, sure, nothing happens to them...
If everyone involved in this isn't fired, and prosecuted for their lies in court and on sworn statements, why should anyone trust NYPD about, well, anything?

"Women don't lie about rape!"
The hell they don't.
"Oh, but she apologized!"
Basic spent two weeks in a maximum security jail and lost his job and marriage as a result of the false allegations.
You destroyed his life, for whatever idiot reason, and your 'apology' means nothing, you vile thing. You belong behind bars for this.

If you're in the market for a 10-22,
Palmetto has a deal for you. With those sights already installed... damn, wish I had an extra two-fifty for a .22.
Palmetto State has some great deals, but their shipping sucks; it takes for bloody EVER.

Isn’t it odd, here video evidence of company claiming that it intends to interfere with the 2020 election and Adam Shiff is silent? Perhaps he
only likes fake collusion stories.
When the terminally PC run the place.
Seriously, these asshats TELL us, by actions and- when caught at it- in words that they want control of words and thoughts, and to control the elections. They need to be dealt with.

'Judges who need reminders' for a thousand, Alex
In a case raising important First Amendment issues for the Internet age, the ACLU of Rhode Island has taken on the defense of a Massachusetts blogger who was ordered by a Rhode Island Superior Court judge to "immediately remove" from his website "any and all posts, blogs, and comments" regarding a person who sued him for libel [warning: health-threatening overuse of large-and-small-caps -EV], without even hearing from the internet publisher. Considering the court order a classic example of censorship, ACLU of Rhode Island cooperating attorney Lynette Labinger has removed the case to federal court for adjudication. The injunction also bars the defendant from, among other things, "cyber stalking, cyber bullying, … annoying, … or otherwise interfering with plaintiff," which is unconstitutionally vague, I think, as well as unconstitutionally overbroad.
Well, you live in a country with a censorship bureau
that just put a guy in prison for sharing a video; you expect them to treat you horrible gun owners fairly?
Now gun owners say the government is not willing to pay the true value of the banned firearms. A June 20, New Zealand police announcement makes clear the most that will be paid for any firearm is 95 percent of what the gun was worth before the ban took effect.
The 95 percent buyback reimbursement only applies to guns in like-new condition. If the firearm is categorized as “used,” the highest reimbursement possible is 70 percent of the firearm’s value.
I guarantee the .gov is currently arguing with each other that "We should just order them turned in with no compensation. And house searches of anyone suspected of not turning one in." Because who the hell are you to demand you at least get paid fairly for being screwed?

It's nice when the racists show themselves
as what they really are.
Here's a hint: when you're a professor at a university, and you screech that poor white people make you happy because
[…] when a white person begs, maybe a white woman breastfeeding or a young white boy whining like a broken flute, I feel better. Good. It’s not just us. I feel happy. I feel like the scales of justice could shift.
then you're a asshole at the least. When you blame some homeless sort for 'stealing' from you because of his skin color, you're a racist idiot.
I'm sure his students have a long life ahead of whining about their student loans because nobody wants a degree in (fill in the blank) Studies as a job qualification.

After
police failed to fulfill a previous request for the information in May,
Harris County Assistant District Attorney Natasha Sinclair sent a
one-page letter Thursday demanding HPD turn over a trove of information
relating to the bust, including the identities of informants used by
Squad 15 since 2014, the names of those who signed off on informant
payments and details about alleged buys.
People are dead, others injured, people in jail who shouldn't be, corrupt cops... Stop this shit and issue the subpoenas. Because this bullshit
"From the outset of the incident at 7815 Harding
Street, the Houston Police Department has worked cooperatively with the
Harris County District Attorney's Office and the Federal Bureau of
Investigation to ensure no stone is left unturned to determine the facts
in this matter," Acevedo said in the statement.
"Additionally
we responded to all of the requests specifically related to the
aforementioned investigations," the chief said. "With regard to the
additional records sought by the HCDAO not specifically related to the
Harding Street incident and dating back many years, HPD has and will
continue to work cooperatively with the HCDAO."
needs to be stomped on. Hard.It does sound real familiar, doesn't it?
Yet at least as troubling to Lyons as the reality of the Soviet
paradise was the refusal to face it that he encountered in America on his return. To the contrary, he ran up against an almost perverse
eagerness to embrace every fabrication in its defense and to cast
doubters as hostile to all that was good and true. Stalinist methods, if
even acknowledged, often met with tacit approval. Was it not true that
foes of the Revolution were plotting on all sides—reactionaries,
Trotskyists, other class enemies? As the New York Times’s Duranty famously summed it up, “you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.”
That during those Depression years, the legions of starry- and steely-eyed included a disproportionate number of what we’d now call millennials was unsurprising; for the idealistic, emotion-driven young, hard questions always have easy solutions, and even in good times, there’s no competing with the romance of the Left. But what Lyons found far more unsettling was the credulity of those in the vanguard of progressive thought: leading figures in academia, entertainment, publishing, media, and the highest councils of government, from New York to Hollywood and everywhere between. These were the powerful and influential, the men and women who shaped public attitudes and opinion. While among them were many convinced ideologues, more numerous still were the careerists, or those simply following political fashion, sentimental liberals drawn to causes by the magic words: “justice,” “democracy,” “peace.” Lyons well understood the seductive power of the call for fundamental social transformation, but he also knew, as did few others, that it invariably led to the naming of enemies and the doling out of retribution, and to unspeakable moral chaos—and, moreover, that it didn’t even work.
Sanders, and Occasional-Cortex, and Oberlin students and teachers, and on and on.

'Blunders'...
A rogue Democratic aide stole a massive trove of political data and used it to harm Republicans by “doxxing” them in what prosecutors call the “largest data theft in Senate history.”
The theft was made possible, and could have been much worse, because of myriad blunders by the Capitol Police and multiple Democratic congresswomen.
For the cops you might pass it off as incompetence, but the Democrats? 'Blunders' my ass.
Even after the computer administrator was caught in the act and arrested for spying on a senator’s office using his advanced technical skills, Capitol Police didn’t check the USB ports of nearby computers. Six different computers within steps of where he was arrested in the Senate had keylogger devices in them that continued to capture and beam private information over WiFi. They were only exposed through a confession.
Police then got a search warrant on his home, but missed critical evidence because they didn’t check the oven.
Toxic individuals were repeatedly passed among government offices apparently without anyone performing a background check or calling for job references. And despite lamentations from Democrats about the DNC hack, there was seemingly little concern about technology and data security.
That's not blunders, that's "Don't run the required stuff."
To this day, police haven’t been able to figure out how to detect the keyloggers from their signal, and it is hard to rule out that they aren’t still elsewhere on the Capitol complex.
Maybe the cops can't, but I'm pretty sure there are people handy in the effing Capitol who can do it. And if they haven't been called in, heads need to roll.
Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas gave him an unpaid position, apparently without calling Hassan’s office as a reference check. The idea of a 27-year-old man who was working in a specialized role in the upper chamber suddenly taking an unpaid “internship” in the lower chamber didn’t seem to set off red flags for Jackson Lee.
Even given that Lee is a bleeping idiot, she's got better survival instincts than that, so how- oh.
Cosko is the son of a millionaire real estate developer who was the head of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and who has ties to California Sen. Dianne Feinstein and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He previously served in the offices of Feinstein and California Sen. Barbara Boxer.
'Blunders'. Right.
Go read the rest.

I have come to the conclusion that for the left yelling "Racist!"
isn't just an accusation: it's a means of not having to think about why someone might disagree.
After all, if someone's a Racist!, who cares what they think, or why? You don't have to deal with arguing the position, you don't have to see the other guy as human with thoughts, he's just the Evil Representative of Whatever, and you can dismiss him entirely.
That's a lousy way to pretend to deal with things, and in the long term I think they're REALLY not going to like the results.

Why there should be a gallows in the town square
Except that in the craphole that is Seattle/King County, they'd probably use them on the victim. For causing anguish to the felon or something.
Except in King County they'd probably use them on the victim for causing anguish to the felon.
Illegal alien, I'm betting(chickenshit paper doesn't say) rapes woman. What followed:
A: However, Jane was upset to find that the King County Prosecutor’s Office charged Carranza-Ramirez with rape in the third degree. According to Washington state law, third-degree rape is a class C felony that encompasses date rape, but not violent rape.
“I was very angry and upset when I found out what the initial charge was, and I immediately wrote a letter … disputing [it] and saying why that wasn’t good enough,” Jane said.
The prosecutor’s office told her that they use a conservative filing policy to file lower charges, in the hopes that suspects will plead guilty quicker.
"What, you want us to actually do our jobs? It's easier this way."
B: While he was sentenced to 12 months in jail, King County Superior Court Judge Nicole Gaines Phelps released him for the nearly nine months already served, on the conditions that he would return to Mexico, have no contact with Jane, and register as a sex offender. The court served him with a Sexual Assault Protection Order and ordered him to get on a plane to California on Monday, and then cross the border to Mexico by land.
He raped her twice, with her kid there, and GOT OUT ON NINE MONTHS SERVED... Because Nicole Phelps is a fucking idiot who probably considered him a poor victim of something, and didn't give a rats ass about the actual victims.
And they just turned the bastard loose to return to Mexico. Even though
According to court documents, Carranza-Ramirez stated that murdering Jane would “set him free.”
they just TURNED THE BASTARD LOOSE...
C: Just as Jane dreaded, she says he found her and violently attacked her just three days after his release. He allegedly hit her in the face with a long, stick-like object, knocked her out of her wheelchair, and choked her as her son cried nearby.
The judge needs to be flogged at the least, and hanging would probably be appropriate. The other morons involved, who did nothing to protect the victims, oh, let's go with the flogging. And disbarment for the lawyers. At least for a start.

On Bookface the other day
I'd mentioned the crap about Kyle Kashuv, and it attracted a compassionate leftist. Which is to say "HE'S A RACIST ONLY TROUBLED BECAUSE HE GOT CAUGHT!", etc. Which wound up including 'everyone who voted for Trump is racist and stupid and icky', all the trimmings.
Makes me wonder, are these clowns this 'You can NEVER be forgiven, never change!' the same way with everyone? Or are they selective with forgiveness?
For a lot of them we know it's selective; otherwise people like Keith Ellison would be gone, and the Governor, Lt. Governor, and AG of Virginia wouldn't still be in office, and they wouldn't be kissing the ass of Calypso Louie.
No deep thoughts here, I'm just wondering if they realize how damned mercenary and nasty they appear with this crap?

When friggin' Bill Maher gets the idea...
Lot of the others probably get it, but don't care: "I just want to BAN GUNS, no matter what damage it does!"
“If you did everything that the Democrats wanted ... I still think you would have this problem because it's much more complicated … You’re going to be disappointed if you think just doing what they want gun-wise is gonna solve it,” he said.
...
“I don’t like guns. [I] have some, don’t like them. [I] have it for [an] emergency, like an antibiotic,” Maher said. “Some people do [like them]. Lots of people do and their view is, ‘Yes there is a violence problem with guns, but not me. And you’re going after me.’”
There's actually not a 'violence problem with guns', there's a violence problem among primarily minority males in inner-city areas, but the usual suspects would rather eat dung at a banquet than admit what the real problem is.

Get the hell over yourself.
You get out of school and into the real world, you're in for some BIG surprises.

A: Feinstein is a lying, corrupt, hypocritical control freak.
B: The DC and Philadelphia Police are corrupt bastards who play political games.
However, a week after Mr. DeWitt’s request, Mrs. Feinstein’s press secretary, Tom Mentzer, asked the commander of the police department’s Crime Scene Investigation Division, Keith Williams, for 10 specific firearm models used in high-profile mass shootings, including a Bushmaster XM-15, Tec-9 handgun, Smith & Wesson M&P15 and a Glock 19 with a “high-capacity magazine.”
Since Cmdr. Williams did not have all the firearms the senator sought, Mr. DeWitt asked Philadelphia police to provide the missing ones, which meant bringing “the P15 and the Glock extended magazine” to Washington.
All of these firearms are illegal in the city — even on federal property — owing to the District’s law banning rifles with a detachable magazine and such features as a pistol grip or folding stock and all firearms with a magazines capacity of more than 10 rounds.
Chief Lanier wanted to help Mrs. Feinstein, but didn’t want the media to know.
Cmdr. Williams emailed Mr. Mentzer to put a “bug” in his ear that the police would “prefer that no mention of the fact that the weapons came from D.C. or were recovered by MPDC in the official language or speeches.” Mr. Mentzer replied, “By not mentioning where the weapons came from, we open ourselves up to the same charge against David Gregory.”
He was referring to the anchor of NBC’s “Meet the Press,” who knowingly procured an illegal 30-round magazine in the District as a stunt for his TV show, but was not charged.
...
The chief wrote to lobbyist Mr. DeWitt, “So much for our agreement.” Mr. DeWitt replied: “Well, Ramsey and Feinstein followed our script, but who would have guessed that [Gainer] would burn us.” He drafted a response for the police to send to me and added in a note, “I don’t know how you put up with people like Emily … .” Chief Chief
Screw ALL these bastards, every damned one of them.

Not only should the Oberlin damages stand, there ought to be a way to make some of these 'teachers' and administrators pay out of their own pockets as much as possible.
If you think a comment made when he was 16 is why, you're a fool.
As for Harvard bitching about racism, take a look at THEIR past, and the way they treat Asian students now.

Stupid SHOULD hurt;
problem is when the ones hurt are kids instead of the supposed 'adults' watching them.
A 62-year-old Australian man who ventured to within 3 to 5 feet of one bison was seriously injured Tuesday when the animal charged and tossed him into the air several times, park officials said in a statement.
This is the second such incident within weeks.
A 16-year-old Taiwanese exchange student was gored by a bison on May 15 while posing for a photo.
...
As they were hiking near the Old Faithful Geyser, they stopped where a group of people had gathered to watch a bison grazing next to the trail.
“The girl turned her back to the bison to have her picture taken when the bison lifted its head, took a couple steps and gored her,” the Park Service said.
The family was believed to have been standing between 3 feet and 6 feet from the animal, the park service said. She, too, sustained serious injuries.

25 yards, indoors, the previously mentioned bullets over 9.0 grains Green Dot. Very little recoil.
Going to have to mess with this some more; it's a lot easier than paper patching

Unless Barr & Co. force it, or Wray has a BIG change of attitude,
the EffingBI SHOULD never be trusted again; if the place isn't cleaned out it's not worthy of trust.
The media (and the Democrats, of course) deliberately missed the point because you would have to be seriously intellectually challenged not to get why Trump might have been hesitant or ambivalent about going to the FBI. These days only a total dimwit would unquestioningly trust the supposed "world's greatest law enforcement agency." The FBI is under a dark cloud.
The litany of personages who have recently left or been expelled from that organization is long and getting longer. As is well known, it's under investigation for its practices during and before the Mueller probe, via the inspector general and recently-appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham, who is famed for prosecuting FBI agents with ties to the Boston mob. All this is being supervised by AG William Barr.
Seems like even the local "We are PC, we see no problem with Omar" media
has realized they can't keep ignoring her mess, or blaming it on 'racism':
Omar, for two years running, filed joint tax returns with a man she was living with but not legally married to. Complicating matters further, she was legally married to another man at the time.
It’s against the law in Minnesota to file jointly unless one filer is legally married to the other. Last year Omar told the Star Tribune that she had married her partner “in her faith,” and had earlier divorced her first husband “in her faith.” That’s fine for religious purposes. But for tax purposes, only civil marriages qualify. It’s not known whether she benefited materially by filing jointly. That is something that voters, who are obliged to follow tax laws no matter how painful, are entitled to know.
No crap? Would've been nice if you'd had some desire to actually be friggin' REPORTERS at an earlier time instead of ass-kissers:
Omar, for two years running, filed joint tax returns with a man she was living with but not legally married to. Complicating matters further, she was legally married to another man at the time.
It’s against the law in Minnesota to file jointly unless one filer is legally married to the other. Last year Omar told the Star Tribune that she had married her partner “in her faith,” and had earlier divorced her first husband “in her faith.” That’s fine for religious purposes. When local political commentator/publisher Blois Olson cited the August 2016 Power Line post and referred to Power Line as “a trustworthy conservative news source” in his daily newsletter, Goldbarb advised: “Someone should reach out to talk off the record [with Olson] and shut it down with him as we do with the Strib” (page 22). Goldfarb remarked on his struggle to arrive at a helpful statement of the facts to cover Omar’s situation — one cultural husband, one legal husband — and lamented that “I think it’s impossible without making it even more confusing. It just doesn’t work in writing” (page 38).And some of them will continue to, as it blow up in their faces. Although it looks like there are some limits to the crap even the Strib will try to pass over.
The committee’s crisis strategy from the outset was founded on personal attacks and predicated on the confidence that the attacks would carry the day with their friends working on the news at the Star Tribune and elsewhere in the local media. Their confidence was not entirely misplaced. The Star Tribune covered the story, but took the Omar campaign’s minimalistic statements as the last word on the matter. To this day the paper reiterates their assertions as the settled facts of the case.
You may not be relieved, but I certainly am,
that 'Better living through chemistry' is sometimes true. The problem is hugely better, and I'm going to try to keep it that way.

This sounds like the Dominican .gov needs to receive a phone call:
"All efforts to force the family to agree to cremation will cease. The body will be returned to the US. Since your toxicology testing equipment isn't working, and you don't know when it will be, the tests will be performed here in the US.
And it will happen now."
And it will happen now."
