It seems Carlos Henriquez has even more connections,

which might explain why the "WAR ON WOMEN!!" screamers aren't yelling.
I pointed out he is son of Sandra Henriquez Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing for the Obama administration.

…the national media still considered it a local story, nothing to do with the war on women.

Now that the Mass House is finally taking steps to expel him from their body we find out via Red Mass Group the NAACP has sent a letter to the Mass House of Representatives urging them to keep him.
My, the NAACP is real forgiving of female-abusers, haven't they(long as they're the right political affiliation and/or racial group)?

Yeah, things like this might have something to do with why "The science is SETTLED!  Look at the consensus!" doesn't cut it.

Some thoughts about idiot socialists who want us to believe communism wasn't really bad, and anyway it hasn't been done yet by the 'right' people.  And isn't it interesting what schools lots of them go to?
It’s no coincidence that she would now be a member of the tea party because as opposed to the fantasy version of Communism that Mr. Myerson advances in Communism as Stacy Point out…
not only do the rich people lose their wealth, but everybody else is doomed to hopeless poverty and — oh, yes, by the way — your communist rulers might decide to kill you and a few million other people, just so nobody forgets who’s in charge…
…Did I mention that Jesse Myerson’s original claim to fame was as “media coordinator” for Occupy Wall Street?
Nor is it a surprise that Clara would be on the opposite side of Mr. Myerson after all Communism is all about class struggle and Myerson knows about the upper classes:
Why do these neo-communists always have to attend elite private schools? Jesse Myerson attended Bard College (annual tuition $45,730) where he majored in theater and “human rights studies.”
Yeah, another one of those.

More history and science: the sunstone was real.

"Yes, officer, YOU NEED A WARRANT TO SEARCH THEIR HOME."

Figure skater wears shoulder rig as part of costume: Usual Suspects™ wet pants.

Oh, boy.  Prince Charles opens mouth and inserts leg.  Monkton calls him on it.
That would be some debate.

If there'd been a camera able so see this...

Short tab-clearing, 'cause I'm not feeling it right now

A Henderson officer suspended after he drove a damaged SWAT vehicle until it caught fire drove at least a mile and a half with sparks shooting from the car.

Kevin had a link to this; I'm about halfway through, interesting.

How's that space program going?

How dare we talk to black people like they're just other citizens?
And Joan Peterson joins in; yeah, we encourage honest people of whatever color to the ownership of arms, and it's because we're racist...

The FBI is not chasing down illegal aliens crossing the border.  They are not targeting the Mexican drug lords.  They are not eradicating MS-13.  They are not burrowing down deep into organized crime in the inner cities.  The folks who work in the field offices might get killed doing those things.
No, those things are hard to do.  They would rather wring their hands over “extremists” and Tannerite.  So there you have it.  Your tax dollars at work.

Every 'Romney lied! Republican are evil!' cliche and accusation

is all lined up, but at least he's also putting some blame on Obama.
Also, he ignores how long Democrats controlled Congress, and Obama having a can't-override majority; ALL the blame is the wicked Republicans getting in the way, not wanting to fix things, and(for a change) Obama not being willing to be nasty enough to fight them(Herbert, you slut, what ABOUT those majorities in Congress?)...

The problem with looking for Dyson Spheres?  If you've got the tech to build solar panels around a star, you've got the tech to bring in reactor fuel from other planets, from asteroids and so on.  Not to mention they might find other ways of generating energy; saying every civilization in the Universe eventually runs out of energy on its home planet, and then tries to deal with it the same way... somehow, I don't think so.

Interesting things turn up in great-great-grandmas' recipe book.

How much you want to bet Valerie Jarret is still pissed about the bin Laden mission, and doesn't want the poor murdering terrorists taken out?  Wonder if anyone will manage to talk him into giving the 'ok' for this mission, or if he'll stutter and delay and let them escape?

Probably a rock impacting, and it must've been a big one

Two things, one neat

and one disgusting:
However, jihad comes first, for it is the pinnacle of Islam, and if the pinnacle of Islam can only be achieved through sodomy, then there is no wrong in it. For the overarching rule of [Islamic] jurisprudence asserts that ‘necessity makes permissible the prohibited.’ And if obligatory matters can only be achieved by performing the prohibited, then it becomes obligatory to perform the prohibited, and there is no greater duty than jihad. After he sodomize s you, you must ask Allah for forgiveness and praise him all the more. And know that Allah will reward the jihadis on the Day of Resurrection, according to their intentions—and your intention, Allah willing, is for the victory of Islam, and we ask that Allah accept it of you.

The neat one is this set of pictures: some artists' renderings, most actual pictures from the Hubble and other systems.

"You can't teach people about that!

CAIR doesn't like it, and that's FAR more important than, say, people winding up dead!" Note that it's Sen. Durbin in the middle of this crap.

One more reason, since the War on Terror is over, we need to get rid of DHS.

Well, this is kind of sad:
For the creators of a Starz series who wanted an authentic look for “Magic City,” a show set in 1959 Miami, it was nearly impossible to find local women with natural breasts.

“I’ve actually had better luck finding synchronized swimming groups than I did finding real boobs,” Bill Marinella, a locals casting director, told the Miami Herald.Link

The line I think of is from a bumper sticker: "Earth First! We can mine the asteroids later"

Juan Williams is either a friggin' moron, or trying really hard to suck back up to the NPR people who trashed him; I'm really not sure which.

Oh, the guy who damn near died when those federal DEA Professionals left him in a cell with no water for five days? They say they're really sorry about that. Which is nice; now when do the firings start for the brainless morons responsible?

The weather gets downright hostile out there,

what with the charged particles storming in.

As an aside, I recommend this book(which I saw recommended by I can't remember who); lots of good stuff, laid out for the layman to understand. Although is brief foray into "The sun doesn't have anything to do with Globular Warmering!" is annoying.

About Obama & Co. not really caring about space exploration,

I'm going to steal a chunk of Tam's post; it covers things nicely:
It's a good thing NASA didn't exist from the nation's founding, or Lewis & Clark's canoe would have taken thirty years to build and contained strips of birch bark from 72 different Congressional districts. If we want to see progress in space, we need to tell NASA to go research airfoil shapes and just declare everything that happens above X miles to be extraterritorial and tax-free.

They’re worried about funding the ISS? Auction it off. You don’t think that people will pay big bucks to go gambling in a casino with zero-g hookers and blow? It'll be the only way to get regular folks into space, too, because they're not going to pay astronauts to mix Long Island iced teas in those weird drinking squeeze bulbs
.

What NASA and the government overall have done is try to make it as difficult as possible for private enterprise to do the job; there's an awful lot of people in government- including NASA- who'd rather see the ISS de-orbit and crash than have some nasty private company run it. And most of the European governments would rather see an asteroid hit the planet without warning than have private enterprise running space missions(even if they'd spot and deflect the asteroid).
