Friend went to the gun show in OKC today,
and called me with a report:
Least expensive AR he saw: about $1400. Magazines, $40. Etc. Think the usual gun show jumpup multiplied. Some guy had a completestripped lower receiver marked $800.
I'm glad I'm not looking for one.
And it makes me wonder what the 15-22 would go for right now...
The .22 AR's I saw at last weekend's gun show didn't seem to be affected much (if at all) by the price spike that's hit the centerfire ones. OTOH, anything that was centerfire and takes removable magazines seemed to be going at anywhere from (roughly) 160%-200%.
$1400? Sounds like a good deal. Cheapest I saw in Wichita today was $1600, with $2400 a lot more common. Didn't check AK prices, but didn't see many. Saw zero M1As, but my buddy thought he spotted a much used and abused one for $1700. 1000 rds of 223 were marked $1000. I'm gonna inventory my supplies and see how rich I've become. ;)

With prices like that, how long before all those fast and furious guns come back over the border?
