The idiots running Evergreen didn't learn anything
from Mizzou.
Administrators at The Evergreen State College have announced that the embattled school faces a massive $2.1 million budget shortfall due in part to a drop in enrollment, and the institution has already handed out some temporary layoff notices as officials grapple with balancing the books.
If they'd paid attention, they'd have noticed that kids who actually want an EDUCATION don't want to pay out the ass to go to a school run by SJBs who scream "RACIST!!" at anyone who disagrees with them.

Pretty good piece by a Brit on what his first year in a US college was like
Let's say it's been educational, but not in a good way.
It seemed to the members of my book club that academia is losing its way. It is riddled with paradox: safe spaces which are dangerously insular; the idea of ‘no absolutes’ (as an absolute); aggressive intolerance for anything perceived as intolerant; and censorship of ideas deemed too offensive for expression. It’s a form of totalitarianism and it’s beginning to infect British universities, too.

But it also raises a serious point: the university experience in America is now not one that will adequately prepare students for real life. In real-life democracy, people disagree — and normally they don’t die or suffer emotional injury because of it. In normal life, there’s no reason not to like someone with whom you disagree politically. On campus, opinions are often ontology: you are what you think. But this is dangerous logic: if I hate what you think, I must hate what you are.
And there's an awful lot of hating going on.

On Tuesday, D. James Kennedy Ministries (DJKM) filed a lawsuit against the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the charity navigation organization GuideStar, and Amazon, for defamation, religious
discrimination, and trafficking in falsehood. The SPLC listed DJKM as a
"hate group," while GuideStar also categorized it in those terms, and
Amazon kept the ministry off of its charity donation program, Amazon
Smile.
The SPLC has been asking for someone to go after them, and Amazon and the others relying on them for something as serious as listing as a hate group was asking for trouble as well. This may be the start of it.l
Meanwhile, in Berkeley, according to the leftists the speaker who's a gay Jew with a black boyfriend is a neo-nazi.

Abdulqadir-Morris, meanwhile, absurdly declared that the public university has no obligation to the U.S. Constitution, but must honor its own “code of conduct which denounces hate speech.”
I can't wait for someone to use that code to go after him for his hate speech.
I think Pelosi considers the Constitution a problem to be gotten rid of, so why would she understand one of the more important parts of it?

So, today it went from '30% chance of rain' while it was pouring

Finally got some bullets cast,
and a bunch of them lubed and sized; now I've got to get the rest of them.
And finish(in some cases 'do') the cleaning I've let slide.
But I won't mow; ground and grass too wet, it can wait a bit.
Since it's nice outside, the Security Staff wonder why they're not being taken to the lake; it's because they'd get even wetter than usual, and I don't want to deal with that right now.
But something shall be accomplished today. Really. I promise.
