What with being at home on this sixth night, I almost forgot

about the data.  Caught in the nick of time, as it were.

By the way ever notice that when you're supposed to/have to not do things, just sitting gets damned hard?

I think Limbaugh used to refer to him as Sen. Lindsey Grahamnesty,

and I'm sick of that little bastard pretending to be be conservative at some level yet continually willing to chop at our rights for the Democrats.
A group of lawmakers led by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) have re-introduced the EARN IT Act, an incredibly unpopular bill from 2020 that was dropped in the face of overwhelming opposition. Let’s be clear: the new EARN IT Act would pave the way for a massive new surveillance system, run by private companies, that would roll back some of the most important privacy and security features in technology used by people around the globe. It’s a framework for private actors to scan every message sent online and report violations to law enforcement. And it might not stop there. The EARN IT Act could ensure that anything hosted online—backups, websites, cloud photos, and more—is scanned.
Which means that's exactly how it would be used.  Which means it needs to die in a fire.

And the morons who keep pushing it need to go away.  I will refrain from wishing they die in the same fire, but they DO need to go away.

Yes, I am officially a victim

of Winnie the Flu, the bastard.

So far nothing horrible, we'll see how the next couple of days go.  Since the only comorbidity I have that I know of it age*, not real worried.  And I think the fever is down some.

Now if I can get some good sleep that'll make a world of difference.

*Far as I know worn-out joints and arthritis don't count

Ah, that caring and tolerance from the hard left

Fast forward to last Wednesday, and the news began circulating around that Whoopie Goldberg was suspended from her show “The View” after her comments about how the Holocaust wasn’t about race. One article from the Daily Wire discussed how “liberal privilege is real” since Goldberg was simply suspended for saying something horribly racist while Carano was fired for simply saying something that encouraged less hate among those who disagree.

This infuriated Judson who declared that it was good Carano got fired for pushing “The Big Lie” and promptly suggested she should actually be in jail.

“Gina Carano got fired – Good! She pushed “The Big Lie” – she should be in Prison – not in movies,” tweeted Judson. “If RepubliQans weren’t too lazy too read – they might Google the definition of “Seditious Conspiracy”. It’s time to take out the trash.”

Speaking of trash, to see Carano's tweet as 'sedition' is either idiotic or insane.  Then we can discuss how his twisting of definitions can be used to bite big chunks out of his ass.

Stout claims he was informed that speaking about religion on campus was verboten because he might hurt someone’s feelings, and that students who overhear his opinions (on text message???) might feel “unsafe.”
...
...According GLJC’s press release, the school also insisted it had the right to police everything Stout wrote on all social media, and determine what he could and could not write.
We'll see how the lawsuit goes

Nancy effing Pelosi:
“I would say to our athletes: You’re there to compete. Do not risk incurring the anger of the Chinese government because they are ruthless,” Pelosi said. “I know there is a temptation on the part of some to speak out while they are there. I respect that, but I also worry about what the Chinese government might do to their reputations and to their families.”
How about the athletes NOT BE THERE?  And if they are, let the PRC know that going after them will have a real price?  Or would that upset Winnie the Flu too much for you?

Yuck

Had a headache most of the day yesterday, then woke up this morning with a fever and a somewhat sore throat.  So I could have a cold, flu, or the Chinese Lung Rot.  Between time and weather soonest could schedule the test was tomorrow.

In the meantime, upped the usual Vit. D and C, because can't hurt.

We'll see how it goes

Wednesday, February 02, 2022

Well, it's cold out there and getting colder,

and we're going to get some snow tonight and tomorrow.  I'm really glad I don't have to be out much.

You see a Georgetown diploma on a lawyers wall,

you'd better be careful.
Students attending the sit-in, which was hosted by the Georgetown Black Law Students Association and organized to call for Georgetown law professor Ilya Shapiro to be fired, told the dean they have been unable to function following social media posts by Shapiro critical of President Joe Biden's pledge to nominate a black woman for the Supreme Court.

"Students are going to the bathroom to cry because they are scared," one student told William Treanor, the dean of the law school...

Listen, twinkie, if you're that weak and spineless, you're going to be worthless in court.  Or much of anywhere else other than bullying a dean just as chickenshit as you.
The dean of Georgetown Law School bent over backwards to appease students conducting a sit-in outside his office on Tuesday morning, offering to reimburse them for food delivered to the protest and thanking them for their "helpful comments."

Basically, anything that upsets their tender sensitivities is racism and whoever said it or agreed with it is also a racist.  As usual.  Here's some more:
Several demonstrators also mentioned an incident involving former Georgetown Law professor Sandra Sellers, who was caught on tape saying that black students tend to cluster at the bottom of their classes. "That took me away from being able to focus for a month," a student said. "And that was during Black History Month too."
...
To mark the occasion this year, one demonstrator suggested the administration send an email to "remind" white students that "they are only here because our ancestors" were enslaved. "This is something that these people need to be reminded of," the student said.

DO black students cluster at the back?  And why would noting that harm you so?
And 'these people', really?  ONLY because 'your ancestors were enslaved'?  You've been listening to the 1619 Project and believing it, dumbass.

And, as noted, Georgetown is picky about who they'll go after for harassment, etc.  Leftists can do it without worry.

And this crap costs how much per year?

Looks like the Goex plant will be back in production

Estes, the model rocket people, bought it.
The acquisition of GOEX was completed in January 2022. “We are extremely excited to extend the relationship with our loyal customers as we ramp up production to satisfy pent up demand later this year,” said Karl Kulling, CEO of Estes Energetics.

That's going to make a LOT of people happy.

Trudeau is a socialist, hypocritical clown, so

his "I must hide my family from the protesters who don't agree with me!" isn't a surprise; he doesn't have the balls to actually meet with a group who won't kiss his ass and go with what they're told.

And one more time the media shows what political hacks  most of them are.

Awful lot of people, in multiple countries, are sick of being called heroes when they allowed the laptop class to hide away by delivering what they needed, and being called public enemies when they won't go along with the laptop clowns fears and hide behind a face panty, and get the shot even if you think it might be dangerous to you.

Sunday, January 30, 2022

It being Sunday night,

and me tired and achy, I'm going to try to find a old book on gunsmithing son gave me a few years back and see if it's got any double information in it.  Yes, I know, but I hadn't gotten far through it when events interfered.  I've got to stop letting that happen.

So if you'll excuse me, I have some low-energy things to do.

Saturday, January 29, 2022

Last thing before I sit a while and then hit the sack:

I need to find more information on double rifles.  I'd like to have one, but I'd really like to take, say, an old side-by-side receiver for a start and build one.  Something not too hard to feed, like .30-30.

Yes, I know, like I need one more thing to distract me from- well, crap I really should be doing.

7th Night again, with what that brings

Which is a combination of "Hey, it's not bad out there, and tomorrow's supposed to be better!" and "Crap, in a couple of days it'll be damn cold again."  In other words, January and early February.

Oh, and the data dump, that got done.

From the same bastards pushing tens of thousands of illegals across the country...

BERMAN: Why should Americans care about what’s happening in Ukraine?

FINER: Because it goes to a very fundamental principle of all nations, which is that our borders should be inviolate, that our sovereignty should be respected.

Coming from these lying bastards.
An agent pressed Mayorkas on how DHS can reconcile saying border security is the main mission for Border Patrol, yet agents are unable to patrol the border due to the policies the Biden administration has in place. Border Patrol agents are being utilized to process the thousands of illegal immigrants.

Mayorkas said he “appreciated the candor” and explained he is working to ensure agents have the personnel, funding, and equipment they need to do their job. The agents replied they have been hearing that answer for years.

Worthless lying backstabbing bastard.

And some clearance to go along with it

Friday, with the weather moderating before

another mass of arctic air next week.  Ah well, it's January about to turn February.

And it's time for some imaging of nice subjects to take your mind off your difficulties for a while.

And now, we wait for spring

When the storms start, and I found out about the new roof.

We had some really nasty winds a while back, and coming home one day I glanced up and "Bleep, there's a shingle missing!"  Which led to calling someone for a recommendation, and the insurance stuff.  During all that, some more winds and "BLEEP, there's another missing- and part of another, over there!"

Not that long ago I could think "Comes to it, I might be able to do this myself."  Maybe badly, but might be.  Now, not a chance, as- among other things- I really don't want to fall off, it being a bit steep.

But it's done, so I can try to not worry about that anymore; I'm sure there'll be something else that will require it.

Remember, though, All Cultures Are Equal!

Associated Press reported that Tariq “was arrested in September at Camp Upshur in Quantico after Marines observed him fondling the girl, who was not related to him, above her clothes on her private parts.” Since there were witnesses, the conviction was not hard to obtain, but Tariq was surprised that anyone would object: “According to court papers, Tariq tried to explain through interpreters that his conduct was acceptable in his culture.” His defense team, apparently aware of the explosive implications of this claim, tried to have this telling detail thrown out of the record, but “efforts to have his statements suppressed were rejected by the judge.”

And while lots of people who'd worked with us and were supposed to be priority on Afghans being evactuated, lots of them were left behind and people like this brought in.  Because Biden and the Woke Generals are fucking idiots.

And there've been how many rapes and so forth, so far, that we know of?

In which the Capitol Police overreach again. Probably at the orders of Pelosi

...It was only three weeks ago Capitol Police Chief J. Thomas Manger testified his security force was plagued with severe staffing shortages.

“The biggest challenge I have is the staffing problem,” Manger told the Senate Rules and Administration Committee. “You can’t do training if you’re so short of staffing that you can’t pull people off of posts and send them to do training.”

But you've got enough people to do this surveillance crap that you're not authorized to do?  I think you're full of crap.

Let the investigation of the Democrats pet clowns begin.

I'd have thought bigger,

but I'm pretty sure they can measure better than my guess.
"This is a preliminary estimate, but we think the amount of energy released by the eruption was equivalent to somewhere between 4 to 18 megatons of TNT," Jim Garvin, chief scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, said in a statement.
Whatever the number, BIG boom.

Tuesday, January 25, 2022

I should've just put all this crap in one post in the first place

Can you say 'Moving the goalposts'?
I knew you could.
Wonder what the clowns will 'pivot the language on ' next?

At this point change President Lawdog's plan for the UN in one way: leave the bastards in the building when you blow it.

Ah, Californicated, you never fail to disappoint.
Bureaucrats who need to be fed to sharks.

And now, to lighten the mood, courtesy of Wirecutter,

One more teacher who we need some more information about

Like "How many times have you done this before you got caught on camera?"  And "Any of the others doing this?"
The North Penn School District in Pennsylvania apologized after a photo emerged of a teacher at Pennfield Middle School taping a mask to a child’s face:
An image taken in one of our classrooms last week and circulating on social media does not represent the universal values that the North Penn School District strives to instill in both our students and staff. After an immediate investigation, it was determined that while the incident was isolated and no malice was intended, the actions of the teacher were entirely inappropriate and unacceptable, no matter the context.
'The matter is being addressed'.  Unless that includes firing or a long suspension with no pay, that means "Don't get caught doing this, it makes us look bad."

Here's one of the reasons the Senate killed that sanctions bill

Anyone surprised there's corruption involved?
Affiliates of two European companies that fund Russia's Nord Stream 2 pipeline contributed to the campaign of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.), who Republicans say has blocked sanctions on the Kremlin-backed project.
Block, it, block it, "Oh no, we want to save that as a last resort of Russian invades."  Bullshit.

Fauci and Collins belong in jail, and should be sued by all the doctors and researchers they tried to ruin

The damage they did, both to the science they claim to champion and to lots of people, is huge.
Note the irony: to 'stop conspiracy theories', they created a conspiracy to hide the truth.
Bold mine:
Andersen reported to Fauci that “after discussions earlier today, Eddie, Bob, Mike and myself all find the genome inconsistent with expectations from evolutionary theory.” Eddie is Edward C. Holmes of the University of Sydney; Bob is Robert F. Garry of Tulane University; Mike is Michael Farzan at Scripps Research. In their unanimous view, the virus didn’t come from nature and may instead have escaped from a lab.
...
You might think that the senior administrators present at the conference would have rushed to investigate the startling inference that their expert advisers had drawn. But just one day after the teleconference at which his experts explained why they thought the virus seemed manipulated, Collins complained about the damage such an idea might cause. “The voices of conspiracy will quickly dominate, doing great potential harm to science and international harmony,” he wrote on February 2, 2020, according to the new emails.

Even after the March 2020 Nature Medicine article, which made the natural-origin theory the mainstream view, Collins still fretted that the lab-leak idea had not been sufficiently suppressed. “Wondering if there is something NIH can do to help put down this very destructive conspiracy,” he emailed Fauci on April 16.
...
So what induced these virologists to such a radical change of view? “The February 1, 2020, telecon sent a clear message to participants that Fauci and Collins regarded discussion of the lab leak possibility, even though plausible on scientific data, to be politically unacceptable and something that had to be blocked,” says Richard Ebright of Rutgers University, a molecular biologist and a leading critic of gain-of-function research.

Fauci oversees a large portion of funds available for virology research in the U.S. It is not unreasonable to suppose that virologists keen on continuing their careers would be very attentive to his wishes. Both Garry’s and Andersen’s labs receive large sums of money from the NIAID. “Telecon participants with current and pending grants controlled by Fauci and Collins could not have missed or misunderstood the clear message,” Ebright says.

They've repeatedly lied under oath, they went through games to funnel money to the PRC for what boiled down to biological warfare research.  They tried to ruin- DID ruin some- anyone who pointed out the elephant in the lab.  And they may well have been instrumental in the deaths of one hell of a lot of people.  And THEN they pushed a vaccine at any cost and trashed the idea of other treatments.

Jail.  At the least.
