It's about time S&W got the hell out of the PROM
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. officials today announced the U.S.-based leader in firearms manufacturing and design will relocate its headquarters and other major operations from Springfield, Massachusetts to Maryville, Tennessee.
In addition to its headquarters, Smith & Wesson will relocate its distribution, assembly, and plastic injection molding operations to Tennessee. The project represents an investment of approximately $125 million and will create 750 new jobs.

Weather's about to turn a bit wet, so no good way to take a picture of the acquisition in place, so

Something on black powder cartridges
I think I've done the lecture before that 'There can be no space between the powder column and projectile, or wad and projectile, because Bad Things will happen.' Something I've done, just to be on the safe side, is that whether the load causes the powder to need to be compressed or not, I seat the wad so that the bullet will compress the powder the last 1/16" when seated; in a non-compressed load, the bullet has to compress that small amount to get to final overall length. That way I can always feel that last bit of 'oomph' as the bullet seats; you can measure very carefully and all, but I like that tactile notice that 'there is no space'.
*When I started this mess, while figuring out starting loads, I'd drop the charge down the tube, measure where it came up to, and have to tap the side of the case to get the last 1/3 or so of the powder to come out.
**It's a die with a plug turned to just fit into the cartridge case. You adjust the depth to get the amount of compression you need/want. It was a bit of a queasy feeling the first times I heard that powder crunch a bit.
***I've known a couple of people who stopped working with black loads, they're just a bit too picky about things for them.

“He was terminated from his center director position at OSU, forced to resign his tenured professor position, and paid OSU $29,000 as part of an agreement to leave the university,” Porter’s lawsuit notes.
However, Porter’s objection to Strayhorn being considered for a job at NC State angered some in his department, with one colleague writing to the department chair saying, “NOT COOL!!!! I am so mad about all of this I could scream!! I can’t stay silent about this. It’s maddening!”
From then on, Porter says there was a concerted effort by department head Penny Pasque to have him removed from positions of authority within the department.
This clown was screwing students and using them as unpaid employees(probably along the lines of "You are helping anti-racism! Now get those messages sent! And you, you need some counseling time."), and these assholes don't see that as a problem. Hell, it's probably a plus to them because 'He was abused by the Man!"

The efforts to disseminate a now-discredited theory that the Trump campaign had secret computer communications with the Kremlin extended beyond the FBI, CIA, and State Department to the U.S. Senate.
Under the late Sen. John McCain, the Armed Services Committee engaged a former FBI official and his progressive-funded nonprofit to produce a report on the matter, according to court records obtained by Just the News.
The Senate committee, now under Democrats' control, successfully waged a secret federal court battle this summer to quash a subpoena that would have forced one of its staffers, Thomas Kirk McConnell, to turn over documents and testify about his dealings with former FBI analyst Dan Jones and his nonprofit, The Democracy Integrity Project, the records show.
A spokesman for George Soros confirms the progressive megadonor was one of the financial backers of The Democracy Integrity Project. Tax records show the group raised more than $7 million in donations in 2017 and hired Fusion GPS — the same firm that produced the debunked Steele dossier for Hillary Clinton's campaign — to pursue allegations of foreign interference in elections.
