I'd been looking at selling my bike,

since, due to the back and joint problems, something with a more upright seating position would be better.

Looking at the current situation, I think I'll keep it.  I wouldn't take it on long trips(me trouble, not it), but it's paid for and runs great.  And looking at what prices on good used as well as new bikes are likely to do...

Won't be long before we can only afford to fuel up motorcycles.

My Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 800 has a seat with a backrest (flip up for lumbar area). When I first test rode the bike, the backrest sold me on it. Without it, I probably couldn't ride for more than an hour. If you don't have one, I strongly recommend.

I had a Vulcan 750 for years; the seat I put on didn't have the backrest, but it was orders of magnitude better than the factory, which I am convinced was designed by someone who didn't like the customers.

Kind of kicking myself for selling my old Goldwing when I moved... Now looking to replace it and it is going to be just a bit more difficult these days...

I wish I could get mine back from the shop where it's been for 5 months now waiting for parts to show up. It's a lot easier on gas than the F250.
